Samael frowned a little bit and looked as if he wasn't really seeing Doctor Archeville, but rather looking past him. Samael chewed slowly and thoughtfully as he mulled the issue over. "Da. Let's do it." said Samael with a curt nod which was immediately followed by Samael popping the rest of his sandwich in his mouth. Halfway through chewing he gives a weird sort of muffled grunt and hold up his finger saying he's got something to say. "Four zings. Nozing sharp, needles are ok, so long as zey stay in ze arm. Not too late, I have early morning. I need ride back home, it vill take too long for me to be Atlas again. And do tests quick, ve don't have much time."

<"Ah cripes, I'm going to lose my shirt to these yaboos."> mutters Atlas as he sits down and takes another swig of his drink and drains about half the bottle. He takes a seat at the table and starts shuffling a few things about, getting himself all situated for the night to come. Atlas' head jerks up and begins speaking indignantly to the other players. "Vat!? Playing already? I can still see straight! You are doing it wrong!" Atlas mutters a few Russian curses as he digs through his jacket angrily. He pulls out a pair of sunglasses and jammed them on his face. "OK. Now, ve can play." said Atlas in total seriousness before he bursted out laughing.

Let me rephrase: 1. You are investigating the shop because of the odd circumstances here-in. 2. You initial findings make you believe that this skepticism is unwarranted and was just a case of mistaken identity. 3. You still have the option of further investigation just to "double check" as the are in fact, known gang members on the premises. Members who were in fact welcomed into the premises.

Heh. Well, in that case, their story has checked out entirely, and you certainly don't need to check on the boxes labeled "h)" :batsmiley:

It wasn't very long until the poker game had it's next player. Atlas rolled up to the garage in his rather run down clunker. He needed to get out of the habit of just leaping everywhere when he needed to. He entered the garage carrying a grocery bag full of food. He had quite a large appetite and didn't want to hover everything that people had brought with them. Also, he would have had to throw this stuff out in a day or two anyways so it was better that he made use of it. He mounted the stairs, causing a bit of a ruckus as he did so. He knocked on the door frame before he passed through. He set the bags down on the table. "How are you doing people? Is a good night for ze games. Atlas by ze way." he added as he looked at those gathered. He grabbed a drink from the fridge and popped the cap off with his thumb.

Training in the Wharton State Forest (IC)
Geez3r replied to Master_Pelle's topic in Wharton State Forest
Tempest turned to each of the humans as they were introduced. "Jack of all Blades human, Leon Mighty human.... Dead Head abomination." It was quite clear that Tempest didn't much care for Dead Head's being, though he did put off his initial hostilities somewhat. This Dead Head abomination is a most curious of creations. Does the human world truly contain such beings? I shall endeavor to learn more about this Dead Head abomination so as to prepare myself should I have further encounters with that sort of being. In addition if I conserved with these humans I may learn more about them. The constantly shifting elements that comprised Tempest suddenly halted their pattern. Then, one by one, Tempest's body became composed of a single classical element until he had cycled through all of them before it resumed its previous flux pattern. "I am everything that you know, given motive by what you cannot comprehend, and destined to learn that which is natural to all. But in this clearing, I am but a friend and ally." Then, whatever would pass for Tempest's eyes glow bright white and the ground shifts and ripples. Set off to the side of Leon's training area, the grass, soil, rocks, earth and trees come together to form a seating area arranged in a circle. If you hadn't seen the area change with your very eyes, you would have sworn that everything had just happened to grow that way. "It is my understanding of human customs that carrying on a conversation while standing is less preferable to that of one where the participants are seated. If that is indeed the case, then I suggest that we continue our conversation here so that we may endeavor to learn more of one another. Is this agreeable?" -
"Ze fact zat none of zem has all of zeir body parts might be ze reason." added Atlas in a low growl to Dead Head. Samael seperated from the group and went and sat down against the wall, not paying the slightest attention to how grimy it was. He made sure to stay a little bit away from the residents so as not to invade their space. "Vat happened to you down here?" asked Samael to one of the people in a far gentler tone than you would have previous thought he could use. Though it was a little half-hearted. As though he knew that the people here weren't going to be the most cooperative.

Gather Info on the bum (1d20+10=13) grr. Note to self - skill mastery.

To an outsider, this had to look like a very weird scenario. Atlas had his face screwed up in concentration, with his tongue stuck between his teeth. Apparently holding onto the little bugger while not crushing it out of existence was rather hard to do with "ham hands". "Just vork fast, da?"

My god. We're like Monty Python's ministry of silly walks, but with verbs.

Yeah, when edits next come around, remind me to snag acute and analytical for Tempest.

Training in the Wharton State Forest (IC)

These humans were indeed interesting. No matter how many new things I learned out these humans there was always something new to learn. "Training human, energy sword human and poorly hidden human, I am called Tempest." The giving of names was a tradition among the humans used to establish trust. In this instance the giving of the name was to lessen the potential hostilities that the humans were bringing forth. "I do not intend for harm to befall any of you this day. However, that first means determining the disposition of this abomination creature." -
My workload went from non-existent to :eep: in a single day. So I'm going to hunker down for a day or two and get all of my ducks in a row. Sorry for anyone this leaves dangling in the wind. I'll try to get back quickly.

Oh yeah definately. But before we draw straws, I'll volunteer to run it if no one has any objection. Also, totally throwing Malice's hat in the ring. Though he'll probably only be there to make sure the Shadow Academy brats come home kicking.

Menagerie Stage Tempest had taken a spot far in the back so as not to draw attention away from the stage. He still held the earth close to his core, the humans seemed to notice him less when he was not shifting elements. Furthermore, the humans did not seem to be afraid of the elements of wood and earth. Tempest surmised that was due to the fact that the two of them were the most stable of elements which lended an aspect of stability to Tempest's appearance. He was not waiting long before the fire-eater carnival human appeared on the stage. Tempest had heard rumors that the carnival humans tended to use what humans referred to as "tricks of the eye" a form of misdirection where humans would observe one set of circumstances where another set of circumstances enabled the event to occur and remain unobserved. It was an interesting skill for sure. Tempest paid close attention to the fire-eater carnival human's movements to ascertain if his own eyes would be tricked. They indeed were. I must endeavor to converse with this fire-eater carnival human.

I was just going to have his super scream reverberate off the canyon walls and have him be downed by the echo and then the resulting rockslide. But that works too I guess... perhaps the super scream's reverberations interfere with his magical energies?

Notice check - DC 15 (1d20+9=15) Sense Motive check - DC 10 (1d20+8=14) Huzzah. I'm useful.

Well this is the last section where we'll likely be so separated. If we get through this, it won't be much of an issue. We'll probably be within shouting distance of each other for the remainder of the thread, unless someone does something wildly unexpected *glares at the players* But yes, for the time being it is going to be pretty bad. But hey, if it comes up, Villain Points. Villain Points = the reason GM's never have to say sorry

Battalion Reflex save vs Ronin Drain Toughness, DC 15 (1d20+4=10, 1d20+4=7) - So both Battalion's Toughness saves are reduced by 5. Tank Reflex save vs Ronin Drain Toughness, DC 15 (1d20 2=15, 1d20 2=17, 1d20 2=15, 1d20 2=8, 1d20 2=7) - The ones on the far left and right have their Toughness reduced by 5, the other are unaffected. Chopper Reflex save vs Ronin Drain Toughness, DC 15 (1d20+7=27, 1d20+7=12, 1d20+7=20) The middle chopper has it's toughness reduced by 3, the others are unaffected. Throw up an IC to reflect this WM.

Training in the Wharton State Forest (IC)
Geez3r replied to Master_Pelle's topic in Wharton State Forest
Logic dictated that one should thoroughly analyze an alien situation before immersing one's self in the events. That way one could make an objective opinion without any biases towards any one outcome or another. The problem was however waiting for the events to unfold. Waiting was what the humans referred to as boring. Tempest hated the anticipation. He wanted things to happen now. He needed to know more. Throwing caution to the wind, Tempest strode out of the forest in full view of everyone. He was a whirling flux of the classical elements in a humanoid form, though he seemed to particularly like earth and wood. He walked until he was about 20 paces away from the two normal humans and then spoke. "Greetings training humans. I would advise that the training humans maintain a safe distance from the other creature; it is a non human. It is a non-life. It is too curious." -
He should have 195 pp to spend btw. Stats, good. Combat: Grapple is +13 Knockback is -8, -1 without the duster. Initiative is +4 Saves, change the "other" in toughness to "protection" Skills, good. Feats, good. Powers, I'm quite leery about allowing the stupify punch, because it effectively lets you get 3 attacks. And the others are nothing to sneeze at either.
