Geckoman strode up to Ace, an angry look on his face. "You seem to be in charge, Mr Danger," he said with a false smile. "Maybe you can tell me why my teammat- no, my friends seem to be the ones at the epicentre, unaccompanied by anyone who ever routinely does the whole superhero thing? C'mon, they've got a lot of power, sure, but we're letting kids with barely any experience handle this alone? Tell me, did we even try to send someone? Eh? C'mon, whose half-assed idea was this!? How do we know they're alive!?"
-
Yay! Now I can have Geckoman be pissed off!
-
I don't mind. I could cook up some more plans, or I could explode demons.
-
We've all kinda threatened to shoot people already :P
-
Nope, by default you save vs both. Look at Corrosion. Even if you resist the Drain, you still suffer the Strike. To do a power where you need one to work before using the other, I'd probably use a Power Loss on the second power.
-
Before I Gecko-post, could I get a clarification: None of Claremont will be posting here due to being the ones trying to stop this, right? If so, Geckoman is going to be rather ticked off.

Adds up. Adds up, however... you could save pp dropping Defence to 2, and buying Dodge Focus 4, giving the exact same result. Note that ordinarily I'm against more Dodge than Defence, but Lucy is easy to sneak up on/feint. Adds up. It seems odd she has an above-average Dex but no extra pp in Reflex, and a low Wis but lots of pp in Will. I'm not objecting, but any real reason? Adds up. If she lived on the streets, why not even a couple of ranks in Streetwise? That's only 7 feats, so 7pp. Also, note my suggestion for Dodge above. Well, it adds up here... Let's take a closer look. Duck. Duck. Duck. Could you add "2 Alternate Powers" to the PFs for the base power please? GOOSE! That's Immunity 13, not power Also, it adds up as 12pp, not 13. Starvation and thirst are one 1pp Immunity (and please call it starvation and thirst, not sustenance). Duck. Goose? Adds up, but you could get Flight 11!

Crud, they're onto me >.>

"Ok, go where you're needed," said Arrowhawk to the energy being. Planning is taking too long. Demons will be on me soon. "But I'll likely need help later. What I need to know is one thing: how big a wormhole can you open? Say... big enough to transport a bus with passengers?"
-
We need to evacuate this place. Goddammit, I don't do things like this. I'm going to need more people. Maybe if we commandeer lorries and buses... But how do we get a convoy through an army of demons? Goddammit, even those couple of times with Rhymer never got this bad. "Ok. Send everyone available, Ace. I think I have a plan, but I'll need more people to pull it off. I'll also need you to direct me to any companies in Southside who'd have lorries... trucks, or buses."
-
"Where are you? Southside's looking bad, probably the whole city. We need to try and get a group of capes. Is there any way we can link up with any of the other ex-Knights? You're the only response so far." The normally unflappable man sounded very worried.

Chris had been in mid-air at the start of events. Now, he flew over the city, horrifed at what was happening. He'd tried to get a call out of the city for help, but communications seemed to be down. He'd called his parents, telling them to get in the cellar and don't open for anyone. He'd need to get them... but there were too many people in danger. "Liz!" he shouted, finally getting a call through to her. "OK, listen. No, I'm fine, just... well, scared. Get in your cellar, and don't open it. Not even if it sounds like me. No... stop! Listen, I'll come back for you. Just...keep safe." He ended the call. Everyone I know... everyone is in danger. How the hell do I stop this?! He came to the bridge. They'd started taking hostages. Chris pulled his goggles down. And Geckoman pressed a button, coming down and hovering over the forces below. "Hey!" blasted the megaphone, "I want you to stop, drop, roll and hand over those people, or these..." Another button, and twin cannons dropped from below the Pitchoo. "You are gonna be so many pounds of electrified, steaming gunk."

Arrowhawk was heading home after a long night's work. Then it happened. As the area started changing, he quickly ran and leapt, climbing a small building using his grappling hook. A crack spiralled down the street and started rending up the building. He was forced to roll as the stonework started warping into disgusting forms, jumping quickly as a series of spikes started erupting from the roof. Somehow, among the panic, he got to his bike in an alleyway, screeching out of it and weaving among the rapidly warping streets. Oh no. Oh, hell no. This is big. Goddammit, this is why I should've been a mage. He could see... creatures appearing in the streets. Divided... we fall. He raised a finger to the commlink in his ear. He could hear a lot of static. "Knights of Freedom... well... ex-Knights... can anyone receive me? This is Arrowhawk. Requesting meet-up, this looks bad." He stopped and froze dead as he heard a piercing scream. "Goddammit, we know this is too big to let our squabbling get in the way. Someone, RESPOND! GODDAMMIT, RESPOND!" He thought he could see some of the creatures at the end of the street, bringing his bike to a screeching halt. He drew his bow. "It's only just beginning..." he said to nobody in particular.

Yep, I've left it so long I feel there is little point continuing.

Arrowhawk gave Dark Star a strange look. "Do you actually know about subtlety? The really illegal stuff goes on in back rooms and upstairs offices. It is completely possible to pull off an operation without ever going near the main casino area. Hell, the fact it is a public place means you can just walk in the front door and sneak into the restricted areas without risking getting caught breaking in a back way and starting a shoot-out. A casino is quicker to find and infiltrate than tracking down some other operation. Unless you forgot, you left the people we're trying to help alone on a strange planet light years away from anyone and everyone. Dragging our heels is more than a little inconsiderate."

In a half-conscious haze, he somehow managed to lead the cops to the roof. They began collecting the now admittedly battered coins for returning, as Chris propped himself up on the side. "Not doing that again," he gasped. "Yeouch." Detective Giordano turned to him. "You need a hospital, kid?" Geckoman managed to shake his head. "I heal fast. Although seemingly not near you, last time I felt this lousy you were there too." He tilted his head back and closed his eyes. "Can you do me a favour and look into this Spellbound chick for me? I mean... jeez... she can't be older than me, and she's into crime. Christ." The detective nodded. "Sure. Take care, kid." His team were preparing to go take statements from bank staff. "If I find anything, I'll drop you a line." When they were gone, Chris leaned back and slid to the floor. Christ, why did I flirt with another girl... He pulled out his cellphone, and held down the first speed dial button. It rang for a second. Her tired-sounding voice came through. "Hey, Chris. What's up?" He forced a smile. "Not much. I just... wanted to speak to you again."
