Not again. The Geckoman tumbled at a great speed, the bags he clutched weighing him down. Gotta save the cash, and save myself... crap, can't get the Pitchoo remote. And I'm over solid ground. Hmmm... if I aim for that building... CRAPCRAPCRAP Fog clouded his goggles as he approached the skyscraper at a stupidly high speed. "Hey, Big Dude in the sky! I don't ask for much, but please don't let me die!" he shouted, letting go of the bags as he passed the roof. The bags burst and the coins scattered across the roof. At the same time, Geckoman put his hands and feet out, and touched the wall. Even as he clung, he slid, but slower and slower until he managed to stop at a ledge, dangling over it. He hung his head low, his whole body aching. He felt like the sudden halting had snapped his ribs and dislocated both his shoulders. "The money..." He slid up the ledge, and tumbled through the window to the resident's shock. "Police... I need to talk to them..." At which point he collapsed to the ground. "Get... Giordano..."

The whole airborne and free-fall thing is narrated. He's just going straight to Disabled when he clings to the side of the building, as the forces involved will mess. Him. Up.

He burst out of the front door to see the girl mounting what appeared to be a flying motorcycle with a distinct broomstick design. Flames fanned out the rear in the shape of bristles. She hovered up above the pavement, bullets from police bouncing off her forcefield. "See ya!" she said, before turning to blow a kiss Geckoman's direction. Oh, f... think of Liz, c'mon, Chris. Oh, she's about to fly off. A split second before the broom rocketted off, a grappling hook clipped onto its side. "AAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH... dear god, how fast is this thing!?" he shouted incredulously as they flew skywards, spinning and twisting as Spellbound tried to shake Geckoman off. "What do you want, you idiot!?" she spat, continuing upwards. Chris clung on with both hands, fervently praying his powers could cope. He somehow managed to speak. "Well, I was thinking coffee... or maybe a movie?" He tried to bring a hand up to shoot at the girl, but the forces pinned it to his side. "C'mon, you don't look much older than me. You can't seriously want to be a villain? We can talk about this." The broom shook violently. "Or... not." He was sliding backwards, and the bags of coins kept hitting him as they dangled from a clip on the side of the broom. "Ok, ok... just one thing," said Geckoman thoughtfully, forcing a hand to grab the sacks as they looped through the sky. "How much weight can that thing take?" He swung his full body onto the bags. The clip snapped and the bags, with superhero dangling off them, began to fall. "Nice dress," winked Geckoman before he disappeared from sight. It was probably wind chill, but he could have sworn she blushed.

"How about a casino?" suggested Arrowhawk. "They're high-profile, they're big money spinners, and there's usually something dodgy going on behind the scenes. They're also fairly easy to get into if you know how to go about it." "The trouble is, we can't take too long. Remember, we need to stop both of their fathers."

Just to put a crimp in your day, Geckoman hits Gold this month or the one after. However, apart from Bluff he'll be a (heavily) overpriced PL 8, so it may not matter. As for location, I think it'd depend on where Mongrel Angel operates (which I don't know  ). River Rat can be "the right man in the right place" due to his luck powers, and Geckoman flies a fair section of the city on patrol. Nyrath? I'm thinking Pitchoo. It flies at a high speed, is radar invisible, autopilots and has Living Space so a few people could rest up in hammocks. Unless there's something stopping them flying to a pretty high altitude, it could be semi-safe.

"I have no issue with sneaking into their offices and scaring them with a solid right hook," scowled Arrowhawk. "'Oh, please don't rough up my daddy, he only executes his enemies and floods the city with illegal acts'," he said in a high-pitched mocking tone. "Naive fool, no wonder he needs help hiding from daddy. However, I do like the idea of hitting up their ventures. I'm not going to take a man's life, but I can take away his friends, his money, hell, everything but his life. We need them running scared, not just for those kids, but for the whole city's sake."

+18 Notice and Skill Mastery? Damn right I deserve a HP :P

I had a very similar concept once, but built it a very different way. I had two powers. Super-Speed, with the Fades flaw. And Cold Control, with each power in the AP linked to a Personal Restorative Boost Super-Speed.
-
It can also be confirmed in the vehicles section of the core book, under the heading "Size" :P

Baby Avenger can jump in at the end with his own PC. Anyway... I'm holding out for Gold Geckoman. *prays it happens before this thread*

It's an odd situation. See, Steve Kenson has said Improved Block is capped. Thus, since 99% of people meet caps, most people can't take it. I highly doubt any of the refs'd object to 1-2 ranks though. I mean, it's far from gamebreaking, and capping it is a bit silly.

Oh god. I'm in Romeo and Juliet. And not a good version. The weird one with Leonardo DiCaprio and guns of the 'Sword' manufacturer. And Mercutio in drag. Doing a dance number. "Ok, so we go for massive threats. My preference, seeing as I want the mob stopped. I say we get these two to a safehouse and then pay their daddies a visit. But one condition for my help here: anyone so much as draws a gun, the first arrow knocks it from their hand andthe second goes where the sun don't shine. Adhere to that, I'll throw my full weight and resources behind this." He turned to Dark Star. "Can you think of a safehouse? I suppose we could ask to use the Lair."

Geckoupdates! Abilities 2pp: Dex raises from 14 to 16, and thus 18/16 (+4/+3). Weee! Saves: 2pp: Will save increases by 2, to +4 Skills: 1pp: Bluff 1, Investigate 1, Gather Information 2, to: Bluff 13 (+18) Gather Information 3 (+8) Investigate 1 (+2) Feats: 3pp: Connected, since he got contacts in the police department during 3 Days of the Gecko. Set-Up, for teamwork stuff Sneak Attack. He has a massive Bluff and doesn't fight especially fair. GROIN ATTACK. Powers: 2pp: Enhanced Constitution 2, so Con is now 14/12 (+2/+1) Mutated by Doc, but you've got 2pp left over! . No points miscalculated here.

Remote Control function = love

I've been told I can AP vehicles, as you don't need to use the Pitchoo and the... errr... Geckocycle? at the same time.
-
What's the DC for the crowd of people hitting me?

"Reckon we could jury-rig a bigger portal if we go back? We could take the Pitchoo... maybe steal a tank or two... y'know the whole shebang. Rather than one second pizza, the next... wacky Nazis! I mean, that world's screwed up anyway. Alien nazi invasion... it's immoral leaving them to that."

It's cheaper, but still not cheap. The Pitchoo, even at 1/5 pp, is hellishly pricey.
-
I'd not require the feat personally. Needing a feat to do something in the power description seems plain silly to me.

Well, if it works out easier, he could be in or out of Claremont at the time. After all, he's probably the Claremont kid least bound to having his heroics linked to his team mates. If there's a Fens/Boardwalk/Southside thread, I'd be up for including him.

Arrowhawk laughed from the shadows. "I assume I'm the crazy guy. No, I'm the one whose spent the past year fighting this city's mob, and if you want them to leave you be, you're going to need my help. Dark Star may have the power and the friends in high places, but he doesn't live in this world. No offence," he glanced at the energy being, "But you probably wouldn't have a clue how to hide someone from an organised crime ring who function in the city with the most superheroes in the world." "We either need to scare them off, or very visibly in view of the bosses, fake your deaths."

He banged her daughter. It's hilarious.
