  1. We have a non-pdf version linked to at the top of the page too :P
  2. Arrowhawk continued to force the bike onwards to where he estimated the fight should be. The bike was old, and only kept up this pace thanks to his epxert maintenance. Unofrtunately, the engine didn't sound elegant at this speed and passers-by turned at the sound of the screaming engine.
  3. Nothing up, sorry, for two reasons: 1. DC 10 is for simple favours. Knowing the supervillain's secret lair is not too simple Don't worry, I've got several ways of y'all hunting him down figured out. 2. Gathering information isn't actually what Connected is for. Contacts is probably closer to your intentions here.
  4. Just realised I hadn't edited this block to include my combat stats <.<
  5. *scribbles notes in Arrowhawk's Batman Protocols* Dark Star, what kind of favour are you trying to call in using Connected?
  6. Hint: you all appear to be female
  7. Character--Attk---Def---Tough---Saves(F/R/W)---Damage Rhinos (PL7) +5---+5--+9--(8,3,-2)---Punch DC24 My original toughness roll... DC 20 Toughness (1d20+5=9) would have left me disabled, which isn't nice. So I spend one of my 3 shiny hero points to... DC 20 save (1d20+5=20) Waltz away unharmed by the skin of my teeth. Thus, I'll extra effort up some power knuckles. 1 Equipment rank for Strike 4 [Mighty]. I could afford plain Strike 5, but the book has them in a utility belt as Strike 4, so fair play and all that... So move action to draw, standard action to slug. At this juncture I'd like to add how glad I am that my costume choice let me justify my, admittedly basic, utility belt.
  8. Chris felt the fabric of his costume tear, barely avoiding the skin. "I made this myself! Do you know how emasculating it is to have to sew a costume!? DO YOU!?" he raged at the tiger, covering for the fact that one hand had shot to his utility belt and produced a crackling metal knuckle duster. "Electrically powered metal you use to punch people? Definitely restores my macho points," grinned Chris, hurling a clumsy and easily dodged blow at the tiger.
  9. New post up. Yes, I have pondered all this before. I have no life. Doc, it's really your show now. You can probably describe your lab and testing more than I can :P
  10. "Well, I didn't build it, so most of what I know comes down to my theories, and those of this really really smart guy I know called Darian? Oh, you've met him? Good with techie stuff? Awesome. Anyway, the ship has never had to be refuelled, so it's either self-sustaining or using a renewable source readily available simply by leaving it parked in cloud cover. Not sure what specifically powers it. The propulsion seems not to be downthrust of air, but rather an upthrust of airship, if you catch my meaning. Darian says it's a primitive anti-gravity mechanism, essentially turning acceleration of the ship from gravity's weight pressing it down, to whatever it needs to be to go up, down or level out. The computer's also pretty nifty, although it was basic when I... inherited the ship. It can take over the ship using basic functions if I program it, and it also operates the remote flight capability, which is slightly more fluid. Really, it flies best when I'm at the wheel," rattled on Geckolass, praying the Doktor didn't catch on to her ignorance of who built the ship. "I mean, had I been forced to remotely fly it into this roof, you'd have a whole new skylight. I hear that's a must-have in property now." A quick word with a few contacts reveals that several figures, dressed in conspicuous greatcoats and low-brimmed hats, have been asking the homeless if they've seen local superheroes. One was questioned not far from the street the android was found. It's possible that superheroes had been targetted to use the ray on deliberately. However, payment was in cash and no further details had been given.
  11. Sorry, been busy doing important school-related things. Like studying. Ever studied? It's boring.
  12. Rolling quickly into the saddle, Arrowhawk revved the engine up on his bike. "Ok, girl, let's do this," he muttered to the bike, screeching off towards the fight as fast as he could. "Superhero, coming through!" he shouted as he weaved through cars and up onto empty patches of pavement.
  13. Actually, it's the beginning of a new term, not a new year. Two different things. Also, it'll be a couple of rounds before I can reach you three, even on motorcycle.
  14. Elric's been doing it for months, give him a little recognition. :P
  15. Adds up. Adds up. Adds up. You only seem to have 19 ranks in skills here, not 20. Also, Intimidate should be +11 due to Charisma (perhaps this is where the additional rank was?) Adds up, although I just realised. It would help us if you added rage's stat adjustments to the combat, ability and saves sections. Adds up. Strength and Constitution should be formatted as 10/24 and 10/14, respectively, but adds up. Adds up, although size modifiers should probably be indicated here. Adds up. Adds up, and it confirms my earlier theory that the missing rank was initimdation. Adds up, but see above note about Rage. Adds up.
  16. Unfortunately, Ultimate Power explicitly states that the duration of Super-Senses may not be changed, and I totally agree. You lose basically nothing for the flaw.
  17. Kick me if it ain't re-checked by Tuesday. ;)
  18. I'll be back to this in a day or two. Just went back to school in the last week, so things are hectic.
  19. The ship-lifting is due to who showed up. Scarab and Dark Star have a lot of telekinesis, and thus use it. Had it just been Hellbound, Arrowhawk and Sammy, then the anchor would likely have been the solution then.
  20. But aren't you living in separate dorms next year? Unless you install a remote-controlled shoe-dropper above his desk...
  21. Move towards the tiger 15', drop a smokebomb, continue on 15' using move-by action. The singing and hopping is just for... well, being Geckoman. EDIT: But... but... it's Eye of the Tiger. And I'm fighting a tiger. It's too awesome to snark.
  22. No weapons. Little defences. No plan. Improvise! Chris bounded towards the tiger, his hand flying to his utility belt as he did so. "Rising up," he sang off-tune as he jumped up again, tossing a smokebomb to the ground at the tiger's feet. "Back on the streeeeeet, did my time, took my chances," he continued, a cloud of smoke blossoming up as he landed on his feet and skipped forward a few steps, waving his cape around behind him.
  23. Cyroa, Dark Star picks up that other than minor damage from people hitting things, the blast did very little property damage to anything else. No trace of the android remains as a clue.
  24. A look of utter fear crossed Geckolass' face as the crazy woman threatened her, her knees visibly knocking. However, she regained some composure in time to carry on speaking. "Ooooo... k-kay. Right, n-now, that we've all ignored a p-perfectly good opportunity to m-make a 'running away like a little girl' j-joke..." Geckolass pulled out a remote and pressed a button. "Does anyone need a ride or something? Just to let you know, no smoking or crazy people claiming to be s-superheroes."
  25. Awww... but I'm good at it. Having just looked at Intimidate, I just realised you got a choice between Will/Sense Motive/Intimidate. My Intimidate is highest *facepalm* It also has no effect once you leave the vicinity ('may treat as friendly, but only while in your presence'), but I'll roll anyway Resist intimidate (1d20+4=14) Meh. I take comfort in the fact that your response to an insult was to tell her to 'Shut up!' and then run away to hide. I'll get you results for those checks once more people have had a chance to post, given the time gap that would inevitably occur.
