"That sounds pretty damn cool," said Chris, taking the wheel and steering back to Darian's house. "We could see what we look like in other universes. Maybe I'd be taller..." Then a thought occured to him, more important than dimensional travel. "Wait! We never finished the pizza!"

pl10 Dead Head (PL 10) - Dr Archeville (Orichalcum)
Ecalsneerg replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Heroes
Let's do this in time-honoured Sandman fashion. Adds up. Adds up. Adds up, but it may be best to add to limitation to Impervious here as well. Adds up. Adds up. Adds up. By Impervious Protection, did you mean Impervious Toughness, since the protection would put you over caps. Unreliable is probably Uncontrolled instead, although since the flaw is slightly different from both of these. It'd probably also best to define if the Comprehend is for understanding or talking to spirits, although it's likely the former. Mental Blast is an uncommon vulnerability, I'd say. Also, is the weak point any specific point on his body? Correct.- 9 replies

Arrowhawk nodded curtly at Moira, then listened to the rest of the group, especially Avenger. He's either rude, or too asthmatic to speak properly... "What would happen if we fail to stop this ritual? I'm assuming by your tone it's nasty." "Now, this would be ideal if the ritual was in a building, as some could attack from the front and the rest drop in from the roof."

Dark Star is precisely the reason you all get to describe your own female appearances <.<

A group of heroes are fighting one of the supervillain Doc Otaku's androids, which seems surprisingly easy to defeat until... BLAM! Its defeat triggers an explosion which suddenly swaps the genders of the combatants around. Now the heroes have to find him and get an antidote, all the while dealing with the sudden spike in estrogen/testosterone, and the media attention to these new heroes based on current ones (Geckogirl? Another male Scarab?) Fun! Hijinks! An airship! Robots! Explosions! Interest?

HIT Science & Engineering Lecture Series, v.2 [OOC]
Ecalsneerg replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Archives
"Don't kick him while he's down!" *slams villain into ceiling* -
Actually, Geckoman's identity complication is slowly progressing to: incapable of keeping a secret one. :P
-
"That's pretty cool. Beats the hell out of healing fast and sticking to walls." He looked over the girl's shoulder at a few of the books. Aaaargh! Big words! "So, how come I haven't seen you around this year? Are you new or something?"
-
As a DC fan, I should really have known that.
-
Arrowhawk's reputation is complicated. In Freedom City, he's still a new, but respected superhero known for targetting mob operations with a large degree of success. Beyond that, he hasn't distinguished himself too much yet. Should anyone know of his UK history, he'd be about as notorious as Batman, having damaged most of Britain's criminal underworld at some time or another. Geckoman is publically known as a new teen hero who simply isn't that great at it. His heart's in the right place, but he tends to knock chunks off buildings or lamp-posts, act brashly, and make rookie mistakes.
-
I see Arrowhawk's relationship with the team being similar to the DCAU Batman, where he'll willingly help out with crisises (what is the plural for 'crisis' anyway?), but if his other crime-fighting activities are compromised, he'll pull the "I never officially joined card," and go do his own thing. We'll see how the whole 'revealing the secret identity' thing goes. ;)

Yeah, I'm using Geez3r's logic. I'd need to roll a 19 not to take damage.
-
Ok, the good (not for me) Doc has ruled that the person hit by the attack is crit'd, but not the one thrown. So Ben rolls a DC 20 save and fails by 6, I fail my DC 25 one by 5 and am bruised further. I'll spend a HP to avoid stunning though. Je'La - Init 24 Bruised x1 Spartan - Init 23 Bruised x1 Malice - Init 15 VP x1 Knieval - Init 14 - Bruised x1, 1 VP Staggered Arrowhawk - Init 13 - Bruised x3, 0 HP
-
If you've got an odd defence score, it's usually best to just go for an even one and buy dodge focus instead.
-
Looking over the sheets, I realised that only Wesley can spot me, if he rolls a 20, while within 10'. Being across the street and looking in the window is beyond 10', so nobody can see me.
-
There'd been a message on the streets, looking to summon local super-heroes here for something. It's not often a group of heroes assemble, usually for something big. Arrowhawk had came to North Bay to investigate. After some fruitless crawling over roof-tops, he'd found them. Nice area, nice house. They stick out a bit. It was a fairly disparate group, in a fairly ostentatious house. There was the attractive woman from that theft half a year ago. M? He could also see the new Scarab. There were a couple of men in txrenchcoats, one much larger than the other. The latter he thought he recognised. Hell-something. Dark Star was fairly recognisable, being the most public hero there. There was also a dark-clad man, fitting descriptions of a fairly brutal new hero he'd heard about from Lenny. Uniting factor? None seemed to be long-term veterans. None were completely new, but none had been going for more than a few years at most. Better go over and offer a hand, then. Firing his grapple line, Arrowhawk swung over the street and landed on the windowsill. He raised his hands in a gesture of peace. "Somebody want to open the window for me?"

"Oh yeah, with the fine hairs or something and van der Waals forces? Yeah, I remember that. Didn't they make these carbon-tube versions which were pretty good compared to past efforts? He didn't seem too fazed by the telekinesis. It was a superpower school, after all. "So, I'm guessing that you're here because you've got some sort of super-psychic powers, right?"
-
Just to inform people that don't frequent chat, Arrowhawk has been invited as the Seventh Samurai for this thread, and the Knights of Freedom. He'll be making an appearance at an appriate moment (likely to mock the 'newbies') He's got DC 30 Stealth using Skill Mastery, so hah!

Chris came out into the courtyard holding a textbook in one hand and a chocolate bar in the other. "So actual geckos take 3-4 months to regrow a tail? Hmmm... so how come I regrow a hand in an hour..." He then noticed the girl reading, and went to keep walking. Hold on a second... He back-pedalled a few steps. "Wow," he said, sounding impressed. "Are you reading them all at once?"
-
Ordinarily, I'd say no, but I've posted in the ref forum asking for an impartial ruling. If it crits me, I fail by 5 and thus spend a HP to not be stunned. It'll be detail enough until I get said ruling and can sort it out better. It's easier than stalling the game.
-
It's allowed, but for a superhero game throwing things into other things is horrifically vague. I mean, it's not like in happens ever in comics, right? I'm going to go look up how it would work, but Shaen and I figured working it as a slam attack would be the best option. EDIT: Steve Kenson's official answer. So we both take damage equal to her Strength bonus, i.e. DC 20 save. DC 20 Tough (1d20+6=20) So close to failing.

HIT Science & Engineering Lecture Series, v.2
Ecalsneerg replied to Dr Archeville's topic in Hanover
"You have to respect his durability," remarked Arrowhawk, drawing back another arrow. "I've put down a horse with one of these before." He fired a second dart into Knieval's arm. "Drugging him could take a while, and he's probably strong enough to break free of my snares if he remains conscious. -
But he's an evil genius. He'll just get us all killed.
-
Just to continue to irritate you, since Geckoman has 10 earned pp now, isn't he PL 7?
-
Doc, we're not doing it in chat, but on a separate forum Sandy set up. We're just recruiting here. quote has been told this about three or four times now :P
