  1. I know that, just suggesting in advance. :P
  2. Maybe Arrowhawk and Malice could springboard something off the Midtown thread?
  3. Several people have expressed interest in playing through 'The Shackled City' adventure path in chat, but in trying to set it up we have come up with a snag. We don't know who's definitely up for it. People to confirm interest - Sandman_XI - DM - Ecalsneerg - Wizard - Moira - Beguiler or Bard - Avalon - Weird Historian class o' doom - Cyrith - Fighter or Ranger [ranged in either case] - Rei - ??? - Maze - Warlock - quotemyname - Cleric of Goodness - Geez3r - Warblade or Barbarian Also, could you post what you'd like to play, both in normal and gestalt rules, as which format we'll do seems to be now be dependent on confirmed numbers. It's the Eberron setting, if it matters. After character generation, it pretty much won't as the setting for the path is self-contained. Concerned refs, we have a site to host on, we're just recruiting from active members here to ensure we know people will actually post.
  4. The mad scientist vibe there is creepy.
  5. Oppose, oppose, oppose the nasty grapple check! (1d20+12=20) Re-roll, re-roll, re-roll, the failed grapple check! (1d20+12=30)
  6. Initiative (1d20+3=15) Also, to clarify, Geckoman doesn't have his zappers on his person. However, he does have his utility belt and grappling gun. As in hand-to-hand he is PL 2, this will be interesting. :D
  7. "Like I said: we're not letting to leave just to kill some more." Oblivious to any signal to attack, he elected to go for restraint, Lunging forwards with his arms spread, Arrowhawk managed to grab hold and went to force Knieval to the ground, but was easily foiled by the larger man and pushed back.
  8. I'm not dignifying that one with a response Initiative!!! (1d20+9=24) Now, I believe you can use an offensive stance when trying to connect with a hit to grapple someone, but if I'm wrong, take 2 from my attack roll and I won't lose 4 from my defence this round.
  9. I read it as people who are known scientists in their heroic identity, which Arrowhawk isn't. He's a good biologist, but he doesn't fight crime using it.
  10. I've not found any problems if you think liberally. Magic items becomes gadgets/utility belt/body armour/battlesuit, etc etc.
  11. Arrowhawk stood in the doorway, arms folded over his chest. "Don't insult his intelligence, 'Captain'," he said in a sarcastic tone. "He knows if you walk out of here free, even more people will be hurt. You know it, I know it, heck, the senile old cleaning lady knows it. Stand down."
  12. Easily swinging away from his perch and landing back on the ground, Arrowhawk dropped unharmed out of the way of the blast. "Bet I can dodge it." Already an arrow was nocked and pulled back as far as possible, the string creaking ominously. The arrow flew true, crashing hard into Knieval, still offbalance from firing his adrenaline cannon. "Ready to lose the frock, Captain?"
  13. I am awesome. :D
  14. Yeah, was waiting until a dramatically appropriate moment. Now threats are being made, it seems like a good time.
  15. "Hey, those guys look like they're tinkering with the smoke machine..." Chris went to walk over to them, raising a hand high in greetiNG as he shouted across the hall. "HEY GUYS! PROBABLY WOULDN'T MESS AROUND WITH THAT THING!"
  16. It's so damn massive. At least at this point I'll need to wait a month to get the pp, so I'll just take a month to do it. ;)
  17. Well, Hawky's internal monologue has referred to you as a moron several times over a couple of threads. I genuinely laughed at that one.
  18. Also, be aware that if you accost me I will stunt up Throwing Mastery and blind you with a Biro. :D
  19. Dc 30 Stealth check due to Skill Mastery. Dark Star can't see him leave, and Doc A and the Cap need to roll 20s, unless situational modifiers come into play.
  20. John slipped out of the side door. He's going to start trouble. He'll be asked to leave, and he'll not do it. He'll fight. That's what he is. A violent adrenaline junkie. He went to go to his bike, and to grab his costume and bow. I can't let him escape and hurt more people. I didn't think to look into him enough, I didn't know what the man was. I didn't know he was such a psycho, and I didn't do enough to stop that. It ends now. "Time for a rematch, and this time... he'll stay in jail."
  21. Notice check (1d20+5=20) Just barely made it
  22. Dark, tormented and snarky. :D
  23. Very blonde momemt there, nevermind. It was, like 2 AM. <.
  24. Nope. Everyone's been grappling or using snares.
  25. If Captain and Arrowhawk are down as vaguely recognising each other in the lecture thread, shouldn't this be set after that?
