  1. Taking advantage of Knieval being thrown off of him, Arrowhawk leapt to his feet, drawing his grapple gun in one swift, fluid movement. Firing it, he propelled through the air clenching his bow between his teeth and gripped onto a lamp-post. Hopefully he'd get some respite from the idiot below up here.
  2. "Pressing a bit there. I mean, you were obviously neglected as a child, based on the attention-seeking, but did you need a hug this badly?" Arrowhawk grunted from beneath the younger man. Bracing his hands against the body of the car, he forced himself backwards hoping to break free of his grip.
  3. Je'La - Init 24 Spartan - Init 23 Knieval - Init 14 - Bruised x1, 2 VP Arrowhawk - Init 13 - Bruised x2, 1 HP If I succeed in my attempt to break free, I'll stand as a free action, Quick Draw my grappling gun and use my move action to swing up to a nearby lamp-post. I doubt it'll be more than DC 26 to cling to it, which is incidentally my Skill Mastery score with Climb. If I manage aforementioned Spider-Man stuff, I'll edit my post to include the following:
  4. It's not just a clever name, y'know.
  5. What do we have Hero Points for? Chokeholds and fire extinguisher arrows, that's what. Also, quote, you need to hit me with a melee attack, then make an opposed grapple roll. Grapple check (1d20+12=28) I failed it, anyway, so you just need to try and hit.
  6. Arrowhawk rolled easily with the clumsy blow, it doing nothing but graze the side of his face. "I don't really like you at all," laughed Arrowhawk. He swung his bow in a wide arc, glancing over Knieval's head. "And ain't ya just torn up about that!" he finished, slamming his knee into Knieval's chest.
  7. It's EMP time. :bat:
  8. "Hey, 'Captain'," sneered Arrowhawk from atop the car. "Too scared to attack me and face another pounding?" He narrowly missed the man with an arrow, which burst into a steel net on the ground. He's pretty evasive, scowled the vigilante, sliding down to get cover from the back of the car.
  9. Bluff check vs Captain Moron (1d20+8=11) Failed. And Hawky has a badass bike, not a car Also, it's Scotsman. One t. Don't make me start calling you Amerrican.
  10. Translation: Ok, dude! If you're here for the lecture, why don't you sit down and don't bother everyone about it. Nobody's impressed by your grand entrance.
  11. John stands up from his seat. Moron. Hold on... It's the guy from yesterday! Better disguise myself a little better. He layers on his Scottish accent thickly. "Look, mate! If ye're here f'r the lecture, why don't ye sit doon and dinnae bother abdy aboot it. Naebody's impressed by yer grand entr'nce."" He sighed and say back down, staring down the aroogant man.
  12. Geckoman & Quark, the Wednesday morning before (Sept 23rd), Quark's Place Quark finds nothing about the guy who posted the ad on OddJobs.com. The site itself is set up like the Classified's section of a newspaper, the only contact info available is what the poster chooses to give out. Which, in this case, is a description of the person you'll contact.
  13. Forgot to include the bruising modifier (as per usual) so he failed by 5 and is this stunned. *HERO POINT* Wait, no he isn't. Je'La - Init 24 Spartan - Init 23 Knieval - Init 14 - Bruised x1, Stunned, 2 VP Arrowhawk - Init 13 - Bruised x2, 1 HP And I missed with the damn arrow :(
  14. Arrowhawk only had time to see her eyes flare up before the blast hit him, smashing into his chest and nearly sending him reeling. "I was going to give you a chance, but nooo..." growled the Scottish bowman, overdrawing a silver-shafted net arrow and aiming it at the woman's chest. The shot went wide, crashing against a lampost and leaving a net tightened around the lamp. "I just knew I needed to work out the kinks in the net arrows. They're not weighted properly," growled Arrowhawk. OK, cover's no good. If I can't even attempt to dodge a shot, I don't think anyone can. Not to be arrogant or anything. "May as well not get my bike smashed up," he said as he vaulted up onto the car's roof with ease.
  15. I'd've posted sooner but for once you weren't here. Right, my standard action is my fearsome autofire hail of arrows. DC 25 non-lethal autofire bow attack, power attacking for 5. +1 DC per 2 points hit by (1d20+9=29) This was a critical hit, and beat the Captain's not inconsiderable defence of 22 by 7 points. combined with the power attack for 5 and the critical hit, this bumps up the DC of the attack to DC 20+5+5+3... DC 33 toughness save. I just damn-near met the Centurion's unarmed damage with a handful of arrows. This is why he's the goddamn Arrowhawk Looking back, I didn't expect Cap's defence to be that high, so that was a pretty flukey shot. My move action is to move behind my bike for a bit of cover. Round #1 Je'La - Init 24 Spartan - Init 23 Knieval - Init 14 3VP Arrowhawk - Init 13 - Bruised, 2 HP
  16. Arrowhawk deftly moved out of most of the range of the shockwave, but it still clipped him and thudded hard into his shoulder. "Wow. I am cowering in fear. Whatever shall we do," said Arrowhawk in dull monotone. The girl will take teamwork to lay low, but he seems to be egging her on. Cut off the head, kill the body? The archer's bow appeared in his hand and was nocked in the blink of an eye, buffetting the Captain with a hail of arrows. Overdraeing for maximum impact, and knowing full well keeping up this rate of fire made it impossible for him to dodge blows, Arrowhawk walked slowly as he did so to shelter behind his bike. C'mon, old girl. Please hold up to one or two hits.
  17. If you can juggle planets, why do you need to accelerate a car? Pick it up, it'd be like me grabbing a dust particle.
  18. John was shocked. The man was clearly popular, judging by how packed the hall was. He was glad he'd sat at the end, else in an emergency he'd never be able to slip out. He applauded along with the rest of the crowd as Doktor Archeville took to the stage, and leaned back awaiting an entertaining lecture.
  19. Attack roll on window (1d20+9=26) If I need to attack roll the window, I'll power attack for five, giving it a DC 26 toughness roll. Climb using skill mastery gets me a result of 26 to climb in.
  20. "Nothing ever goes to plan," sighed Arrowhawk, whirling around and firing an arrow with a small explosive in it at the board. "All of you stand down!" shouted the vigilante as he went to follow up the shot by vaulting into the room.
  21. You could just go back and edit your post?
  22. GRIMDARK doesn't work so well at PG-13 (and yes, I think Dark Knight at that rating was ridiculous. Why do you ask? )
  23. Initiative (1d20+9=13) Hurray for incompetence! Round #1 Je'La - Init 24 Spartan - Init 23 Knieval - Init 14 Arrowhawk - Init 13 - Bruised, 2 HP I'd be obliged if people reposted it on their go with damage conditions, updating round number and hero point usage. Now, in my defence I just got here... Reflex save to ignore damage [Evasion], toughness save vs damage [flat-footed] (1d20+8=10, 1d20+6=16) Roll better, dammit. I'll post a reaction once quote does, this was just to check if I got stunned or not. Does his bike get trashed? (1d20+8=25)
  24. I can't really comment right now, too busy laughing at the following transition: "Dark Knight did well! GRIMDARK Superman! GRIMDARK Shazam!" to "Watchmen did bad! KIDS NOW! KIDS KIDS KIDS!"
  25. Submit him as a PL 8 NPC in terms of points, who only meets PL 7 caps.
