  1. Geckoman would like to spend his 3 pp on awesomeness! I'd like to put his Charisma up by 1 to 18, for 1 pp. I'd also like to give him the feat Fascinate (Bluff), for a second pp. I'd also like to increase him Super-Senses by one rank for the following construction. Super-Senses 4 (infravision, low light vision, scent, tracking [olfactory]) This comes from Doc's waterfront thread where he tracked someone across half the city from sniffing the pavement. However, right now he still needs to use Beginner's Luck to get Survival ranks, which is fine by me. I'd also like to alter his complications to the following. All it does is elaborate on his existing ones and add another based on the fact rapid cell regeneration consumes energy. Done by Sandman XI
  2. "Thanks, sir," said Arrowhawk to the crewman. "I'll go check under the deck, it'll free up some crew to help with the lifeboats." He turned to go find some stairs and ran into... a cowboy on a dinosaur. "Erm... um..." said Arrowhawk. Even with his experience, he had never quite run into a cowboy on a dinosaur. On a cruise ship. "I'm assuming you're a cape... right?" he asked cautiously. "Because I'll need help getting people out from the lower decks.
  3. Or I could kill them all and make it look like an accident. They'd never know what him them...
  4. I don't think you make attack rolls if they're not dodging. Would you dodge the superhero trying to airlift you out?
  5. "I really hate smelling the ground, but it seems to work," grumbled Geckoman, leaning down and smelling the dirty street. "On the other hand, at least I don't have some terrible superpower like being a big rock dude. Sniffing the ground looks enjoyable by comparison."
  6. "Park the ship... Alright," he muttered. Damn, I suck. I thought I wasn't bad at flying, but they had to go and make me look bad. He kicked a rock and went into his ship, letting it float up and off the ground. "Well, now I don't want to go off to 'other activities'," grinned the teenager evilly. His hands went to the thrusters... ... and Alan glanced out the window to see a green blur accelerating forwards and away, up into the clouds.
  7. Will you need more Survival rolls for me to keep following the scent trail?
  8. "No thanks," called out Arrowhawk, pulling himself up slightly and pulling his bow free. "Can't get you wet," he said to it, before swinging back and forwards. Olympic swimming pool, he squinted. I aim for it, throw the bow to the side. Can't go wrong. He swung himself out for the last time, clicking off the grapple line and flying out towards the boat as it came forwards. "Woooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaah!" he shouted as he threw his bow down, to thud onto the deck as he splashed down into the pool.
  9. Arrowhawk has 6 unspent pp and a newly-raised PL cap! To the Arrowcycle! 2 pp unspent: Firstly I'll spend 3 pp upgrading his skills, adding 2 ranks to Gather Information, Intimidate, Notice and Stealth. Shaen also just alerted me to him not having Investigate, which for a highly-skilled street-level detective with no little amount of science skills seems a bit wrong to me, so he had it all along. Honest. >.> So I'd like to increase his ranks in that by 4. New modifiers are: Gather Information 14 (+16) Intimidate 10 (+12) Investigate 4 (+6) Notice 15 (+18, Skill Mastery) Stealth 15 (+20, Skill Mastery) I'd also like to spend 1 points on giving him Attack Focus (ranged), bringing his ranks in it up to 3. Then I'd like to reduce his ranks in Dodge Focus by 2, and spend 4 pp on increasing his base defence by 2. Thanks.
  10. "And I thought I was overtly dramatic," sighed Arrowhawk, leaping from the bridge with his cape billowing out behind him. He quickly spun in mid-air, pointing the grappling gun at a support spar from the bridge, and firing. He swung even as he let the cable lengthen further, bringing himself into a pendulum-like swing. As it stabilised, he readied himself as he hung from the bridge. The ship was slowly drifting forwards the bridge, and he'd drop down when it reached him.
  11. How far from the bridge are you picturing the ship as being? I ask because I don't have such luxuries... I'm going to have to leap in and freeze my ass off. :D
  12. The Arrowhawk drove across the Centery Bridge on his bike, in costume and ready for a Sunday night patrol. It was usually a quiet night, he reflected. Nobody can be bothered going out on Sunday nights. Well, maybe some people can, he smiled, hearing the revelry from afar. He glanced across to see the cruise ship sailing across the bay... and exploding. Profanities burst from his lips as he pulled the brakes purely on reflex, spinning in the middle of the road and screeching onto the footpath. He paid no heed to the traffic who had been forced to stop behind him, simply getting off his bike and climbing up onto the railing. "Whoa. That can't be good." He turned to the man in the jacket beside him. "No. It can't," he said absently, looking below him for some means of reaching the boat. Maybe if I drop onto another boat, or swing far enough out from the railings to reduce how far I'd need to swim...? His cape swirled out behind him as he reached into his belt for his grappling gun. "You should maybe go home, sir," continued Arrowhawk to the figure as he scanned below him, unperturbed by the great drop to the water below. "This might only be the start of a bigger incident, you can never tell."
  13. Arrowhawk arrived shortly after Nightrival, standing a little back from the group. "Y'know, Nightrival," he said from behind the man and proferring his grappling gun. "Get a magnetised grappling gun. Leaves less of a trail." He turned to take in the rest of the group. "Hiya, I'm Arrowhawk. Sorry if I don't recognise any of you, as you can tell from the accent I'm not from around here." He accented his Scots accent further near the end so it would be more prominent.
  14. To the Arrow-cycle! There's trouble brewing in Freedom City! (Still here )
  15. "Let's fly the actual ship. I'm more used to working the controls," said Chris, going to leave the building. Alan led him out to where they were letting him store the Pitchoo. "OK, try to stay above the grounds and don't go too high. We don't want to stand out, as Mr Summers told you when you were invited here." "Coolio," said Chris, spinning into the chair at the console, pulling on his Geckoman goggles and flicking a switch. The door closed with a Fwoooooosh! The engine humming, the ship rose up into the air and sped upwards, only to be quickly overtaken by some larger versions of the round drones in the training room. "OK, here we go," said Chris, as one drone collapsed and reformed into a large square frame. Using his right hand to adjust the angle of the ship, he forced the thurst down hard and careered through the hoop, spinning on the ship's x-axis before levelling out to effortly pass through a smaller, circular hoop. "Let's have some music," mused the teen, reaching over to a touch-screen panel to his left... and smacking into a third hoop angled so as to be slightly less obvious. The drones moved away across the school grounds a fair distance, kids pointing up in awe. "Look at me, not the floating spheres! I have guns!" said Chris is mock outrage, spinning the ship on the spot and rocketting towards the obstacles. The green blur twisted at the last minute to fit through a slanted hoop. But the twist threw the ship into a spin, spiralling through the next loop, clanging off the sides and crashing into the side of the third and sending the metal parts flying in the air even as they reformed into an orb shape and flew off. "DAMMIT!" swore Chris. Getting frustrated now, he kept moving forwards towards the rapidly-assembling loops and squares and oblongs forming. The first obstacle was three circles slightly off-centre from each other, and at his speed he could only turn enough to make it through, not to get through without scraping the sides and sending sparks flying. He dove down to drop through a small hoop, but the turning circle wasn't enough to loop back upwards through the one above him. On a final, rapid slalom he knocked three of the poles over. "Nnnnnnnng," moaned Chris, head in his hands. He swerved at a slower speed, following the arrows forming from the metal the drones deconstructed into. He was moving down towards the trees. "Oh, not more slalom..." he groaned, eyes widening as he attempted to bank the ship quickly. The bark and leaves flew everywhere, as the Pitchoo followed the next arrow upwards and upwards and... upside down? Clinging to the sides of his seat, Chris panicked and spun the ship back around, hitting the next narrow circle in the process. "Computer, memo to me: buy green paint and body filler!" shouted Chris, as what looked like big spiky mines loomed into view in a large cloud. He tried to pull up too late, crashing through them in a shower of machine parts, sparks, scraping and screeching. A few minutes later, Chris landed next to Alan again. "In my defence, my lack of ability to fly was kinda the reason for me being invited here. Wouldn'ta been noticed otherwise..." Left thrust, middle steering, right brakes
  16. Part 1 -- Easy course [DC 10, DC 13, DC 15] Pilot dice rolls (1d20+7=19, 1d20+7=20, 1d20+7=12) Failed at the third one. Part 3 -- Challenging course [Dc 20, Dc 23, Dc 25] Third set of dice rolls (1d20+7=12) Part 3's other rolls (1d20+7=9, 1d20+7=12) Failed all three. Part 4 -- Formidable course [Dc 25, Dc 28, Dc 30] Part four (1d20+7=19) Part four's other rolls (1d20+7=27, 1d20+7=24) Failed all three.
  17. Aw, c'mon, Arrowhawk could beat Wolvie and he'd still have to struggle compared to Divine and Hellbound. The answer on how to is simple: change tact. Yeah, high-level Regeneration means you can't pound them into unconsciousness. Arrowhawk would at this point change to using Snares and Stuns, rather than Blasts. Similarly, Divine and Moira shouldn't punch him into next week, but use your large grapple modifiers to pin him. If he's stick beneath two super-strong bruisers, how does he grapple his way out? I mean, Regeneration doesn't count against your defensive power level, but Super-Strength doesn't either.
  18. One or the other, and it has to be declared at character creation.
  19. I'd like to point out that not only that I know it's actually 'mitosis', but can explain what it is and how it operates. :geek:
  20. "I pricked my hand on a needle which contained what I assume was radioactive gecko DNA. After that, I've had heightened senses, the ability to stick to things and I heal faster. I'm not entirely sure how it works, I'm not a biologist or anything. I'm assuming some sort of rapid 'mitosiosis' or whatever you call it."
  21. I was waiting for Sandman to recover, but now my excuse has gone. Curses! I'll probably have something up in the next day.
  22. Yeah, Sammy should definitely have priority. He has a dinosaur.
  23. Well, that is pretty much what I'm saying. How much points would a flaw/drawback give for the disadvantages in Holding Back?
  24. He's currently in two, with one wrapping up soon-ish if it wakes up again.
  25. "Nah. I can regrow a hand in an hour or two, some toe bones'll take a lot less time." He collapsed backwards into a chair. "So... reckon you woulda figured it out as quick if I hadn't presented you with the need to do so?" smirked Chris, wrapping a piece of cloth tightly around one foot as bones started clicking into place again.
