In a flash of ozone and white light, Equinox appeared behind Nick. Air whipped up and tossed her coat around, white light blazing forth from her eyes. A ribbon of fire coiled and snaked about her, emanating from the wand she was spinning in a figue of eight in one hand. And her feet weren't touching the ground, dust kicked up beneath her as the wind held her aloft. Imperiously, she raised her head to gaze dispassionately at the crooks. "Fie, caitiffs!" she said in a near-inhumanly distorted voice. "This shall not be your day."

John just stood pensively, and turned to Gabriel. "Right, while they're off bollocking about, we need to come up with some method of fighting this reality's Interceptors. I don't know how competent they'll be, but I assume that, much as it pains me to say this, be a credible fighting force. And Doktor Archeville's involvement complicates things." This next part wasn't said with exasperation or any shame at all, and in fact sounded like a tone of respect. "I don't know if I have any way to even slow down Doktor Archeville if he's anything like our one. You lot have a lot more raw combat power than I do, so what do you think would work?"

Geckoman was setting up shop in the kitchen, utility belt and grapnel hung over a chair beside the back door, the Pitchoo parked a few hundred feet directly above the house. As the only one without a direct familial or romantic attachment to the birth, he'd volunteered to be the one answering any and all shouts for help. "Are we working?" he asked the laptop sitting on the kitchen table. "Or should I turn you off and on again?" A simulated fist mimed knocking on the screen from the inside. Vince shook his head, and mouthed something inaudible. "What? I can't hear yo- oh, volume." He tapped some keys rapidly, and adjusted his mask where it hung loose over the collar of his leather jacket. "Alright, we're working, Goggles!" proclaimed the computer program, 'moving backwards' so his whole body was visible on the screen. "Shall we get this baby out?" In a flash, the computer program was clad in medical scrubs. "Um... no, monitor all calls in case of an emergency, and call me if anything comes up. If I'm not in the room, the wireless USB," rattled off Geckoman, slotting a peripheral into the side of the laptop, "Is hooked up my radio." He tapped his earpiece. "On it, boss!"

Accursed report month! Equinox Burnt Offerings Call, Raise or Fold Geckoman (assign Ref pp) From The Ground Floor Scholar You Can't Take The Sky From Me

Equinox leaned backwards in an alleyway, eyes seemingly closed. But in her head, she was casting her mystic senses out further and further, trying to find disturbances and anomalies inch by inch, yard by yard. In the corner of her mouth, a cigarette steadily burned away uninhaled, a long plume of smoke billowing forth from the increasing length of ash. Almost absently, she pulled the talisman up from the thong around her neck, and tapped it on the wall she was leaning on. "Nothing notable yet," she said absently, mind still wandering half a mile away. "But early days yet. Haven't resorted to ritual magic..." She paused for a moment in thought. "Do I say 'over'?"

I think Temporary Drawbacks may be your friend here.

"Oh come on," sighed Chris, following the Espadases up the stairs. "I could wire up the cameras and speakers, it's hardly a difficult job. I mean, for a man who makes giant swords, a sure sign of masculine overcompensation, you don't even do DIY, the sworn province of the man with something to prove?" The teenager shook his head ruefully. "One would be forgiven for assuming th- Fulcrum?" Geckoman stopped dead in his tracks at the huge figure appearing at the top of the stairs. "Um... hi?" He raised a couple of hands to his chin, as if to push his jaw back up off the floor.

Charging Strike attack on the thug which isn't unarmed. Power Attacking for 2, so DC 25 attack, with her at -2 Defence the next round. (1d20+10=23) And I typo'd there, it should be DC27 Toughness, not DC25.

Scholar twisted to the side, lithe feline grace evading bullets, one passing close enough to stir her fur as it passed, but not close enough to actually injure her. With a fearsome roar, she landed on her paws, and coiled low. Aerokinesis... interesting, but it's not going to end this. The coiling low was for good reason. It meant her next lunge could carry her the length of the alley, like a precision-guided missile of muscle and fur and claws and fangs. A great leonine paw catapulted first into the gun arm of the still-armed thug, followed by the rest of her hitting the optimal point on the man's chest to drive the wind from his lungs.

Equinox's action... Move Action - Use Flight until she's just over Kriminel's head Standard Action - Use the sword of JUSTICE! Power Attacking for 2, so... Roll to hit Kriminel, then Nullify Magic if appropriate. This is followed by a DC27 Toughness save (1d20+9=17, 1d20+13=18) Crap, fails to hit, so I'll blow a HP on it leaving her with 6... Rerolled hit vs Baron Kriminel (1d20+9=20) Well, cack. Hayley's action - All-out Movement away from the battle :P
-
Equinox whirled around behind Kriminel, fingers white on the handle of her sword. The bastard god had hurt Nick. Now he was going to pay for it. With a quick gesture of one hand, she signalled for Hayley to run like hell before conjuring wind beneath her to lift her high into the air. With the other hand, she initiated a windmill like spin in mid-air, trying to slice downwards with the sword while the Baron was too dazed from Dead Head's assault to defend himself. Unfortunately, her anger got the better of her and she found herself only slicing air as the imprecise blow swung just a few hairs too wide.

John Fraser just blinked. And leaned forward on his cane. Then took a couple of steps to view it from the side. Despite his amusement, his face remained stone-like in its lack of reaction. He just shook his head and began to follow Ironclad towards the sub. "Well," he said in an even tone. "I am willing to take one free joke about the wig. Just not right at this moment. I'll wait for a more opportune moment." He turned his face away so nobody could see him grin. The archer regained his composure long enough to glance over his shoulder. "Anyway, if we're going without masks, I suppose you should call me John."

"It's not a treehouse!" insisted Chris, leaning on a wall. He paused to check the wall wasn't going to collapse behind him, and patted the stone a couple of times experimentally just to make sure. "There's also a cave." "Anyway... where exactly are you going to be living? Tell me it's not the basement with VINCE." He glanced at the AI. "Sorry, dude." He looked back at Erik. "Because this doesn't look comfy."

Sorry, but losing access to Equipment is NEVER worth a Hero Point. That's why it's so cheap (costing 80% less than buying things straight up with pp)
-
Scholar turned to coolly eye their assailants. Primitive human weaponry, so uncouth. She just stood up slowly... and then her form flowed and shifted until she was on all fours, muscles enlarging and expanding even as fur began to sprout in a thick, tough pelt. If it was possible for a tiger to smile, this one would have been. It let out a low, dangerous growl, reaching into the instincts of any human being that here was a predator, dangerous, fast and lord of its environment. The tiger wanted its prey to run from it, so it could have the thrill of the chase.
-
Initiative! (1d20+8=27) And Scholar goes first. She'll use her Move Action to turn into a tiger! (The default configuration for this is on her sheet). Her Standard action will be to try and scare the thugs. RAAAAAAR I'M A TIGER (1d20+10=21)

Your cosmic awareness currently doesn't work unless you're touching the subject, is that intentional?
-
That's not worth PP, really. Devices are cheap enough as is. That's a plot Complication, not a mechanical Drawback. It's worth noting, the RefTeam consider 99.9% of Mecha & Manga's mechanics to be a crock of s***. If we don't specifically say you can use it, it's best to assume we're not even willing to consider it, the book is that bad. One little thing... you need to specify a sense type for Cosmic Awareness. Also... "only when outside at night or during the day" is a Complication, not a full Flaw on Regeneration.
-
Rose, could you remember to please post consistently in the third person past tense? You keep switching between present and past in your posts, sometimes within the same post.
-
This doesn't much make sense. Someone exceptionally fit isn't going to be of average build, even if they're not covered in huge muscles. They'd be built like a tennis player or sprinter at the very least. Other than that, it is an utterly fantastic sounding costume. The background works, but I will say one thing - dear god, paragraph breaks. Would he not also have some Complication involving Keres killing his mother? Initiative should be +9 from Dexterity bonus. Adds up. Adds up although you should include the Attractive bonuses here. Adds up. Right... Powers. I'm not even going to go through it all, as basically... you're going to have to rework your entire Device. Firstly, and not very pertinently, you should enclose all your powers in the [device] tags, not open and close them for each new power. It's very confusing. Secondly... honestly, all these Drawbacks and Flaws on Device? Strictly speaking, non-core stuff needs approved on a case by case basis, especially in the case of Warriors & Warlocks, where Arcane Signature is from. Because its writers were massively over-estimating how much Flaws were worth, or if not doing that, underestimating it. Energy signature, in this setting as opposed to a Conan-esque one, is a Complication, not a Flaw. Normal appearance, while I have no idea where it's from... even if it is a printed Drawback, I have no idea how it could possibly not be a perk. The Conditional Ownership, likewise, have no idea where it's from, but that's not relatively free use at all. There is one example of a Gren in play. Your PC. There is one person who can use it in our entire current canon. I'd go so far as to say this is Restricted 2 with a Complication that other Gren can use it. We also don't use maneuverability rules for Flight. Also, you should paste your DC block into Notepad, make sure it lines up, and format it on the sheet within tags.
