Rank 11 Area Blast, Reflex & Toughness as appropriate (1d20+6=11, 1d20+11=29) Who's master of the elements here, me or her? Since attacking the chain didn't work, Equinox is just going to use Aeromancy to crash the damn helicopter already. Power stunt: Nullify Flight 12 (Extras: Duration - Sustained [+2]) [24PP] Linked to Super-Movement 1 (slow fall, Extras: Affects Others Only [+0], Ranged [+1]) [3PP] [total 27PP] Necessary rolls... Roll to hit, then power check for the Nullify on the helicopter. (1d20+11=23, 1d20+12=13) Um... Re-rolling the opposed check for a HP! (1d20+12=26)

Equinox saw the hailstorm coming before it even hit her, standing in its path and raising a hand against it. The shards of hail shattered in the air a good five feet in front of her, tiny fragments of ice scattering around her in a wide arc. Her eyes flared brightly, as she raised her wand even higher, calling out to the clouds up above. Her fellow superheroes were busy fighting the actual robbers, so it was up to her to stop the getaway vehicle properly. So, with a crackling surge of power, she called to the sky. "Pazuzu, lord of wind, Pazuzu, Help me fight the evil men do, The craft is in the air, it should not be there, Bring it down! MOTE IT BE!" A powerful hammer of air, spiralling and gusting in a tornado and a hurricane, seized its way around the helicopter's blades, simultaneously wrapping around the underside of the craft, shaking the entire thing with turbulence and trying to force it to the ground.

"Kristoff" just shook his head almost imperceptible. They couldn't just blow this operation on circumstantial evidence, but it did look suspicious as all hell. So the only logical progression in an investigation would be to find out more. Besides, if it turned into a fight, he was unarmed and Jessica was unarmoured, and it might not go very well. Marvelous recuperative powers or not, getting punched hurt. "Vould there be any way we could observe vun of your sessions?" asked the "Russian psychologist". "I feel it vould help us understand your approach to the profession."

Arrowhawk raised an eyebrow at the vision before him. This was evidently some form of parallel dimension where things were much, much worse. Judging by the state of this universe's equivalent of Gabriel, much worse. But empathy was not overly familiar with the Scotsman, so instead he settled for leaning back against the wall and drawling, "Now, bear in mind this is me it's coming from, but if you need our help, any pressing reason your first resort wasn't to just ask us to help?"

Unless you choose to use a Targeted Area, it hits everything in the area by default, but they get a Reflex save equal to 10+rank, which if passed, halves the effective rank for the purposes of DC. So in this case, a DC22 Reflex save. If passed, they take a DC21 Toughness save, if failed, they take a DC27 Toughness save. With Evasion, which I doubt a swam has, if they pass the Reflex save, they take no damage rather than half.

"As I recall," growled Arrowhawk in a low voice. "Last time you saw me, I was the only one reticent to use artillery-scale violence. Although if you really want that hug, I can give a brief demonstration." But then he turned to Ironclad and shook his head. "If we blow our way out, we don't find out who kidnapped us. Which means they don't get stopped from... whatever they're doing. And also, like the message said, we're underwater. Not exactly my favourite place to be." He paused and mused for a second. "Unless, of course, as they left us nice accomodation and all our weapons..." The archer nodded at his bow, Ironclad's armour and Gabriel's spear. "There's the very outside chance they're so incredibly powerful we're just an amusement to them. In any case, there's no net loss in meeting them."

"Da, da," nodded 'Kristoff' to the director's explanation. "She sounds like she vas a vonderful person." He ignored the chatter on the headsets, knowing that he couldn't actually do very much in the actual mechanics of this operation. What he could do was keep Doctor Wilkins distracted so that Ironclad could do her thing. But it wasn't just that. This was a man who was genuinely hurt and troubled by his daughter's death. Even if he was partly responsible for what was happening to these poor people, Chris couldn't help but feel for the man, to have suffered such tragedy. He had friends who'd experienced loss, and he was grateful he wasn't one of them. Nonetheless... this was wrong. "I think it is good you honour her memory in such a vay," he lied.

Arrowhawk glanced down at the hand and then continued surveying up and down the corridor. "Arrowhawk." He didn't much care about the fact there were several of them being kidnapped beyond the logistical flexibility it would give them in finding whoever had kidnapped them. "And you're right. It's not a villainous kidnapping, I think they probably want to broker some kind of deal, else they wouldn't have given us a hotel room and set up a meeting." He glanced over his shoulder and shrugged. "Most supervillains aren't stupid enough to think kidnap is the best way to enlist a man's aid, so you're right. Definitely not that."

Last Account Of The Final Days of Kairos: Part Two "How are we doing for the piloting systems?!" shouted Jeni, closing yet another blast door on the Spire's docks. From beyond, there came a resounding crash, and the shriek of a thousand Omegadrones coming closer. "Blast door three down, four still standing, five just up," she rattled off. The temporal copy of her from ten minutes in the past nodded as she punched controls into yet another Chronopod dock, setting the co-ordinates and destination for its autopilot. "Just a couple more pods left." "Hurry, Jeni!" came a woman's voice from a commlink. "We can't hold them. We need to evacuate now!" The prime Jeni pressed a button on her belt, and the holo-projector to her right brought up an image of the planet's primary spaceport. Hundreds of civilians cowered in various outbuildings and on helipads, as an army of sleek gold robots of various designs and weapons load-outs circled them, blasting away at the swarm of Omegadrones blackening the sky. The most advanced suit of armour spun and twirled in the air, vaporising one Drone with a disruptor beam, turning another into paste with a projection of pure sonic vibration, retconning some from reality with a chronomissile. Automaton commanded her old armours from this most advanced one, forming an army of one without the risk of paradox the rest of her team incurred in doing such a thing. And she was losing. To her left, a clunky, old looking suit was blasted into scrap metal. A woman screamed below her as one lucky Drone screeched in and impaled her at top speed. Seeing this, the prime Jeni turned and screamed at her temporal copy. "Move! Move! There's no time!"

Arrowhawk rose groggily to his feet, cursing as he went. Instantly, he reached out and grabbed for his weapons. What kidnapper leaves you your weaponry? He took stock of his surroundings swiftly, picking up the PDA device lying on the table. He frowned at the message there. "Just... what?" This was a very odd situation. Not even bothering to avail himself of the provided facilities he burst out into the hallway like an enraged elephant, the door slamming against the wall with a thud as he propelled himself out into the hall. To see a woman he'd never met before. "Alright, where the hell are w-" He paused when he heard a familiar voice. "Oh no. Oh no. Not him."

Hayley prodded Equinox's leg. <Be nice.> The little raccoon frowned up at her. Equinox just sighed. <I know! I know! Not good with the dead!> She restrained herself from reaching out to pat the ghost on the shoulder, and settling for just speaking softly to her. "I'm not trying to be horrible to you. I've just seen so many people your..." She paused, unsure of how long the girl had been dead for. But she seemed to still mentally be a teenager, so that'd probably still work. "So many people you age have been hurt. Really, really badly. It'd be irresponsible of me not to warn you."

Equinox stood tranquil among the the chaos and brawling, aiming her wand carefully at the chain connecting the helicopter and the safe. If she used too little force, nothing would happen to the thick metal. But if she used too much and aimed incorrectly, she could do a lot of damage to the surroundings, especially the hero clinging onto the safe. "Pyr," she whispered, letting the magic flow into her wand naturally, not forcing it through. "Pyrkagius." The jet of flame lanced into the chain, turning a few links a white-hot colour, but not shattering them.

Full Round Action - Aim action. Free Action - Surge for another Standard Action Standard Action - Flaming Blast the chain, power attacking for 2. It's an immobile object, so +4 to hit for a total of +13 to hit, and DC28 Toughness to resist... BOOM (1d20+13=20)
-
DC25 Toughness save (1d20+7=10) Ouch, throw a HP at a reroll. Re-rolling it... (1d20+7=19) Still Bruised + Stunned, though.

Equinox pointedly ignored Ghost Girl's comment. Not working with the dead closely, she'd never really got why "going off to Eternal Paradise" was such an offensive concept to some of them. But she nodded at Nick's words. "Yeah, that's the worst occupational hazard. The deals. I once ended up in the Realm of Faerie, blindfolded, shackled and a couple of miles underground, solely because of one poorly worded deal." She looked over at the ghost. "Really, don't make any deals with powerful supernatural entities unless you know what you're doing."

"Skies above," cursed Equinox under her breath, pulling her coat up to obscure the movement of her wand. She circled around slightly, trying to hit the bull on the broadside. <Get clear!> <Got it!> Hayley dashed away from the rampaging bull, coming to a halt behind her mistress and rolling to a stop. As she did so, Equinox dropped her coat away at the exact second she unleashed a geyser of water, the spray hitting the beast like a liquid freight train. The sheer force of the assault sent the animal tumbling tail over teakettle, landing with a thump on the sidewalk.

Hayley is going to run behind Equinox. She's going to use a move action feint, then zap it again. Feint! (1d20-4=0) Then, water blast. DC27 Blast, using Power Attack for 2 (1d20+9=29) BOOM! DC 32.

Arrowhawk had just finished donning his costume and making his way to a nearby rooftop when darkness began to fall over the city. Red eyes scanned from under his hood at the city around him, searching for crime to fight. Both hands worked to assemble his bow, snapping it together and stringing it without his brain giving them conscious direction to do so. Which is how he was aware enough to hear the soft footsteps behind him. He pivoted to see a man in an all-black suit, hat pulled low over his eyes, black leather gloves on his hands. "You want something?" growled Arrowhawk, stalking towards the man. Instantly, the man swung a fist to hit him, but the huge archer caught the fist in his bare hand... and instantly began to feel weak from the potent contact poison. "Clever," he hissed as his legs turned to jelly. "Very clever." And he blacked out.

The brown haired youth leaned on his motorcycle a few feet back, wearing a brown leather jacket and a big orange and green striped scarf. He reached up to his nose to bring down the sunglasses from them an inch, letting his eyes scan up and down the building. Slowly, the vague grin on his face morphed into an expression of complete bemusement, followed by a grimace. "Reeeeeally?" Chris asked sceptically. "Perfect?" He glanced back at his vehicle, as if considering getting on and driving really really fast in the other direction.

Siobhan sidled down the quiet street. She enjoyed quiet mornings like these. Hayley was back at the apartment, no doubt assaulting the fridge with much enthusiasm. There wasn't much traffic, she didn't have any marking to do, she had nothing mystical which urgently needed doing... she could just saunter down the street, cigarette in one hand, cup of coffee in the other, and relax... Thankfully her reflexes were quick enough for her to drop her cup and shout "Kinesi!", holding a chunk of rubble above her head in order to prevent it going into her head.
-
Scholar stood glaring for a few long seconds. "... Fine. You're right. We have to get out of here. I don't believe for a moment you're intentions are entirely innocent, and like I said already, it doesn't mean you necessarily brought us here." She sighed deeply, and took a long breath. "Alright," she spat, claws melting away as her eyes returned to their "normal" vivid green. However, they were visibly more amber than they were a few moments ago. She scanned the area quickly, eyes flickering left, right, up and down, and then back up to the sky. And then down to the jungle. "We're somewhere in the Mintaka system, not entirely sure what planet. This is a hothouse jungle, which means a few things, but the important ones are mainly about how much predators and how big they'll be. Brief summary... a lot of them, and big, and nasty." She took another brief glance around them. "This is an artificial clearing. Which probably explains why none of them have yet come to eat us, but that also means it's not an especially good sign that they haven't. There's definitely a someone, not a something, behind this."
-
The tiger flowed upwards and forwards, returning to the form of the blond woman in a silver jumpsuit. Her eyes remained that of a tiger, claws protruding from his fingertips. She fixed baleful eyes on the Omegadrone, voice harsh. "I'm the Scholar, last survivor of the Chrononauts, one of the last of the Kaironian race. Your kin stormed my planet and slaughtered the populace. I retaliated by connecting the cores of the two suns and turning every single Omegadrone on the planet into soot and ash floating in the void." She grinned widely, showing semi-feline fangs. A hint of amusement entered her tone. "So, Harrier. Even if I do believe it is not you who kidnapped us, does that absolve you of your other crimes?"
