The Siberian tiger coiled up like a well-oiled spring, muscles rippling in places that most other animals didn't even have muscles. Lips curled back over dagger-like fangs, a deep growling sound coming from her throat. "Stand aside," rumbled Scholar's voice from the animal's throat. "I've had enough of the Terminus's duplicity. I will not suffer letting one of those foul Drones continue to blight this universe." The tiger took one step forward. "Will. Not."

Jeni Frey was in a place called the 'Amazon rain forest', studying Earth lifeforms. So many of them, so deadly. It had been touch and go for a few days when some small legless creature had bitten her and poisoned her badly. But now she had managed to sneak up on one of them, moving towards it slowly and cautiously, with an eye to acquiring a small DNA sample by touch in order to add its form to her repertoire. Carefully, ponderously, she took one slow soft footstep... ... and fell through the air, wind whipping her hither and thither as she plummeted towards the ground. Don'tthinknotimetojustchangeCHANGECHANGE Her body began to shrink in upon itself, legs shrivelling away as her feet shrunk into talons, mouth and nose melding into a harsh beak as her arms expanded forth and sprouted feathers. The peregrine falcon swept down into the clearing, landing on a log and reverting back into a blond human-like form in a silver jumpsuit. One looking in horror at the scene before her. A horrifying silver mass of fangs and eyes stood before her, squaring up as if to fight. Fight... oh no. "<DESTROYER!>" she snarled in Kaironian, the simple elegant syllables twisted and spat out into harsh, distorted platitudes of hate. Almost immediately, her hair was sucked back into her head before promptly spilling out across her skin in patterns of black and orange and white. She fell forwards onto her hands as her limbs morphed into strong, powerful legs with great clawed paws. The Siberian tiger arced its head and let loose a savage roar into the jungle.

Scholar has no idea what's going on.

You'll also get it in Cyber Nations, if they still do it. I used to canvas 100 new nations a day.
-
Does this mean Arrowhawk gets to take up the mantle of the comically unfazed?
-
Honestly, I don't know whether to recommend Cyber Nations or not, because I don't know the state of the politics anymore. I left at a time when all the bloc were very centralised, but I'm told that's no longer the case. However, in mechanics terms, I'd class it as an actual game, whereas Nation States is a good forum RP with a terrible "game" attached.

I think this sounds in Arrowhawk's ball park

"Oh, quiet," snapped Equinox, trying to concentrate. Even without her magic, she could still theoretically talk to her familiar. And she was a little tired of the supposed whimsy of Faerie. "Besides, is it really a demonstration of power if the entire mortal realm can do the exact same thing... and in fact, has. We have great towers a hundred storeys tall, their very core and foundation carved of iron. You've got some manacles and doors. Forgive me, I pray thee, for not being at all impressed." <Hayley? Hey, furball? You still out there?>

Siobhan raised an eyebrow at the girl recoiling from the fire. Could be she died in a fire... or maybe she's just aware what magical fire can do to spirits... "I come from a school of thought which favours dramatic billow," sniffed the witch, blowing smoke haughtily from her nostrils. "And I'm not a psychopomp." She turned to explain to Ghost Girl. "A psychopomp is someone or something which escorts the dead to the afterlife. Like angels, or valkyries. Or meddling revenants." She grinned at Dead Head. "And, if you didn't want me to, I wouldn't be able to see you, which'd be a terrible disadvantage for that sort of work." Equinox's grin morphed into a wry smile. That had been rough. On everyone, not least Dead Head. In a way, she admired his ability to be such an optimist despite everything.

Geckoman scanned the room very obviously. After all, it was a facility tour, so looking round was expected, regardless of the mission objective. Pretty normal, he thought, before looking up at the picture overlooking the lobby. He pensively stroked at his chin as he looked around the room, enjoying the feel of his scratchy chin. Stubble was very uncomfortable under a mask covering most of the face, so he usually kept himself clean shaven. "Is dat, uh, the Faith Wilkins?" asked 'Kristoff' carefully in his Russian accent.

Rav, that last post isn't really long enough to count.

Arrowhawk taciturnly glowered down at the Doktor. His eyes didn't betray the hurt in them, or the dismay at what had happened to his friend. "Hrm." He turned away and stared at the wall. For a brief moment, he shut his eyes tightly and grimaced. Then, even knowing the Doktor couldn't see his face, he dismissed the expression from his face with a curt shake of his head. Growling a little under his breath, he reached up both hands and replaced his hood, deftly flicking the catches to clip it to the tiny metal earpieces he wore to prevent it being pulled over his eyes. But despite that, he couldn't shake off the bone deep weariness from his words. "What are you going to do now?"
-
Equinox sighed. She really was not at her best in dealing with the dead. Especially Dead Head. He was one of the most jovial, genuinely friendly and caring people she'd had the fortune of meeting... but he creepied the hell out of her. Fortunately for the ghost, apparently she wasn't quite as unnerved he the sight of the head reattaching itself to a rotted corpse. "Dead Head," she said with an incline of her head. Sticking a cigarette between her teeth, Equinox muttered "Anaptiris" under her breath, and a small ball of flame ignited on her palm, which she promptly used as a lighter, dismissing them with a shaking hand movement which oddly produced the sound of a Zippo clicking shut.

Not necessary. Convention holds that Immunity (suffocation) is assumed to be all suffocation, whereas the 1pp version has the specific proviso attached to it. Rest assured that there won't be any confusion over the matter.

Chris was clad in a smart suit of dark navy fabric, over a shirt of a much paler blue. His hair had been cropped short and bleached to a brilliant blond, and he had pale blue contacts in his eyes. Glasses with a thin black frame and false lenses were perched precariously on his nose, and he had topped off the entire outfit with a green tie. "привет!" he said cheerfully in a mild Russian accent, moving to shake the Director's hand. And all the while he prayed he would not have to use any other Russian words, as he only knew one. "I am Kristoff Sergeyevich, and I am big fan of your vork." He extricated himself from the handshake, and grinned broadly. "Da. Coffee vould be velcome."

I'll blow one of my HP on Beginner's luck to give Gecks a +11 Disguise modifier. Assuming I can take 20, that's a 31 to spot he's in Disguise. Unless I can't take 20 overnight, then Disguise check just in case (1d20+11=24)
-
Equinox barely even flinched, just whirling on the spot and gesturing with her wand. However, this wasn't to cast a spell, but accompanied a mental cry of <Go!> Like a shot Hayley barrelled off in a wide arc around the side of the rampaging bull, darting left and right frantically before diving forth like a furry bullet towards the trois-graines. Equinox lifted her left arm, trying to call up the power inherent in the earth to reinforce her shields to protect her even more solidly, but the exertion from destroying the wards had clearly not faded, and the spell wouldn't come. Instead, she just pointed her wand at the huge bull, wary of the combustible cars in the immediate vicinity. "Paliroiko Kyma!" she muttered, the wand suddenly ejecting water like a broken fire hydrant, the high pressure blast of fluid hammering towards the bull.
-
Equinox Delays her action until after Hayley's. Hayley Move Action - Circle around the bull Standard Action - Charge its... trois-graines. DC17 Toughness save (1d20+6=20) Equinox Move Action - Bring up Impervious Force Field as a Move Action... DC21 Concentration check not to screw it up. (1d20+16=17) Aaaaand she messes that one up. Standard Action - set Blast descriptor to 'water', and... BOOM. DC26 water Blast (1d20+11=20) Just hits.

Equinox just took the bemused raccoon into her arms and shushed it with a curt hiss and a couple of mental commands. The small furball just clambered up to perch atop her shoulder. She wasn't at all sure when her life had started to progress to the point where necromancers, ghosts and zombie Scooby Doo didn't even faze her anymore. She just settled for standing back and letting Nick show Ghost Girl the spirits mingling in the graveyard. Academically, she knew they were there. But here and now, she was incapable of communing with the spirit world without lengthy and involved rituals, simply due to lacking the knack.

Equinox just raised an eyebrow, remarkably unfazed by the ghost appearing behind her. Worse, and more creepy things had come out of thin air behind her. "Nice to meet you, Ghost Girl," she said, inclining her head in greeting as she slowly pivoted in the air to face both other participants in the conversation, a few leaves blown up as she did so. Meanwhile, Hayley was having more problem with the concept of a ghost. She sniffed the air a few times, and frowned at not finding a scent. She batted a couple of paws at the ghost, but was perplexed at them phasing through. <Buh?> "Stop going through the ghost, furball, it's rude," muttered Siobhan absently. "Anyway, are you new to the city?"

Equinox sat cross-legged in the middle of the graveyard, arms resting on each knee, head tilted slightly back as she relaxed in the lotus position. The hem of her coat slid gently along the grass in the breeze even as her body levitated a good couple of feet above it. Her mystic senses were reaching out across the graveyard, looking for any stray magic flying around. As her magic was fairly grounded in life and the natural world, the undead were not generally going to show up on her senses... but any necromancer activity should do, especially around the time of the year the curtain to the afterlife was thinnest. <Find anything?> The little raccoon scurried to and fro, sniffing in the air with her nose, and yet not with her nose. As a witch's familiar, Hayley was able to smell magic just as well as any food which had been brought into the house for her. <No. Just dirt. And horrible muzzy smells.> Then, all of a sudden, both of them pivoted to the gates as a familiar trace of magic approached. <Cookie man!> proclaimed the raccoon, bounding off towards the car as it pulled up. Equinox just shook her head and smiled, coming out of the lotus to float towards the gates and her friend.
