1. Drop the ability scores. It's a normal human. If you want high abilities, hey, you've got a god behind you, throw down some Enhanced Scores and go to town on that bad boy. Also, the Strength, Dexterity and Constitution... well, most mages tend not to have that high a score in them. Probably not entirely necessary, looking at what you've got for magic attacks. Hell, IMO mages should very rarely have high Constitution, as opposed to their usual Force Fields and Protection-in-a-Device. Ah, the major issue with Kenson builds. Remember, Attack Focus, Attack Specialisation, Accurate, Dodge Focus and Shield are all feats/powers open to use. You don't need full base Attack/Defence. Not much to say, but if you're taking my advice on dropping the ability scores, I'd also beef up the saves accordingly. The Profession skill is redundant, and I'd probably trim off a lot of those Knowledges depending on the backstory of your particular character. Don't bother with the Equipment or Minion ranks, they can just be handed out as per Plot anyway. Diehard is a non-issue, really, PCs shouldn't be killing human mages anyway. Revise the Wealth to be in accordance with our House Rules. We're never going to allow Subtle 2. Also, why not array the Emotion Control and Hypnosis? Urgh. He does not need a Dynamic array in the slightest. Also, use the actual POWERS, not the descriptors given to them by Book of Magic. Per our house rules, that'd be Super-Senses 5, with Magic Awareness costing 3pp as opposed to 1pp. You also need to specify a sense type for the magic awareness.

3. Genie Magician Comics examples: The Thunderbolt Power Level: 10 (150/150PP) Trade-Offs: -2 Attack / +2 Damage, -2 Defense / +2 Toughness Description: You're an ancient being of smokeless fire, created by God as a counterpart to humans and angels. And over those thousands of years, you've learned a trick or two, knowing magic that even the most powerful of mortal spellcasters would struggle to comprehend. But humans have over time become the dominant species on the planet, and you've grown to like them, Allah help you... so you're going to protect them. You're not like one of their genies from Aladdin, you can't grant them wishes, but you can keep them safe. Complications: I'm assuming that this genie does need to speak and gesture to cast his spells. It's just that it's hard to justify that as a pp-saving Drawback when he can just turn to smoke and escape bonds, so this Complication only kicks in if more creative means are used (like a lamp  ) This build also isn't quite as powerful as an immortal genie could be. 5. DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN Y'know what? Screw it, Hayley the raccoon has had enough screentime, gets used often enough and has been embraced by the fanbase enough to become full Sidekick So, take the 4 ranks in Minion off Siobhan's sheet, and replace 'em with Sidekick 0/11 (11 ranks from Gold veteran award). This also weakens the raccoon slightly, knocking off some stuff I only added to fill in the 15pp I needed of Minion pp to get only 2pp of Magic Awareness (namely Knowledges and a little bit of Will save). Now, that 4pp of Equinox's now go into better, brighter things... well, 2pp into Constitution and 2pp into Charisma. To do this, I also need to take 1pp out of her Force Field to avoid breaking caps, but hey, I'm fine with that. Rather than leave that 1pp unspent, I'm going to put it into 4 ranks of Intimidate. Eyes: Grey (White when using powers) Hair: Brown (Black as Equinox) [floatl][/floatl]Description: Of average height and fairly slender, Siobhan Drake is not strikingly different from most people on the street. Her most distinctive features are her long brown hair, grown to half-way down her back, and her piercingly blue eyes. Typically, she dresses in plain t-shirts and jeans, eschewing dresses and high heels for more 'practical' clothing. That said, she can alter her clothing to any outfit of her choosing with a snap of her fingers. As Equinox, Siobhan's eyes become brilliant white due to use of her magic, casting enough light on her face to obscure her identity. In addition, she uses a simple temporary spell to dye her hair jet black. She wears a white long-sleeved t-shirt and trousers underneath a deep black floor-length coat. On her shirt is a logo on a black-outlined circle with one half completely black and the other white, representing the position of the sun during an equinox. In both identities, Equinox wears an elaborate silver pentagram, although usually hides it while not in costume. History: It's safe to say Siobhan Drake had a rough childhood. She grew up getting teased for the funny name her Gaelophile parents gave her, moved house a lot due to her father's profession as an Air Force General, and then being present for the Terminus Invasion when she was a little girl. After the trauma of the invasion, General Drake decided his family should stay in Freedom City with Siobhan's maternal uncle Frank. However, childhood petulance dictated that despite her parents trying to improve her life, Siobhan still resented them for her name, for the moving and even for moving to a city that gets invaded! Once she hit her teens, she started rebelling on a huge scale, sneaking out and drinking, smoking cigarettes, going through different goth/emo/fashion-obsessed phases, and then finally, to top off her parent's worries, she ran away from home. While travelling across the country, she fell in with a rough crowd of wannabe mages, who met nightly and tried out rituals they'd found from various old texts they'd dredged up. However, when it came down to it, they were just a bunch of talentless, pretentious teenagers using affected names. However, their leader (a man calling himself 'Keter'), had some talent, and was pleased to find that Siobhan had plenty of it. Therefore, while she showed interest in old pagan faiths and magic, Keter tried to manipulate and coerce her into demonic and necromantic rituals. She resisted for a long time, until in a frustrated rage, Keter went ahead without her and tried a summoning with his more lacklustre skills. He and his little 'coven' failed, and the summoning went awry, just as Siobhan's conscience finally snapped her out of it and she arrived to stop it from happening. Faced with a demon on the rampage, Siobhan used what little magic she knew to try and bind the monster, but to no avail. Sent reeling by the magical backlash of it shattering its bonds, it looked hopeless... until Adrian Eldrich appeared on the scene, effortlessly saving the day with a word and a gesture. While angered at her not stopping it before it happened, and at Keter's escape, Eldrich took pity on Siobhan, taking her home to her worried parents. From there, she set about turning over a new leaf. Spending the next five years studying theology at Freedom City University, she turned to Wicca and began living by its philosophy, using her magic responsibly. To aid in this, Eldrich instructed her a little until she was ready to stand on her own. Taking a job marking tests and teaching a few small classes, Siobhan decided to become the superhero Equinox, fighting off criminals, protecting people, and hunting rogue mages in order to make sure what she allowed to happen wouldn't repeat itself again. Personality & Motivation: Equinox is a driven, dedicated individual who has learned from her past mistakes. While her job as a superhero requires some degree of violence to protect people, she nonetheless maintains a peaceful attitude, attempting diplomacy and trying to talk out problems, not resort to violence. Trying to believe in the good side of people, nonetheless, she often upholds a perhaps unwarrantedly harsh stance on those starting out using magic, simply due to her bad experiences with rookie mystics in her youth. In addition, when stressed, she has a tendency to get a little snippy with people. Siobhan wants to make the world a better place, but predominantly, believes in protecting the innocent before drastically changing the world perhaps against other's wishes. She has the ability to do so, the drive to do so, and thus in her mind, must do so. Deep down, she hopes that being a superhero might also help her family to forgive her for her follies of youth. [floatr][/floatr] Powers & Tactics: Equinox is a highly trained and skilled mage. While deprived of much of her magical prowess without her wand to focus them, with it she is a veritable force of nature, with a wide variety of spells available to her. She is an expert elementalist, able to conjure up fire, wind, earth and air, although she tends to favour fire and wind as the more impressive-looking. She can also magically lift objects due to her control over the elements, create protective magical wards and fly on spectral white wings. When she wants to show off, she can also make her force field glow brightly, illuminating the area around her. With her wand and pentagram, her powers become more focused, and thus much more effective. In addition, they allows her to use the more difficult spells of controlling the weather and healing the wounds and fatigue of others. The wand also removes the need to speak and gesture in order to cast spells, requiring only flicks of the wand. Typically, she will try to negotiate with her foes rather than attack them outright. If pressed, she will prefer to bind and restrain foes rather than blast them with the elements, although if pressed to or if left with no other choice, she will use more outright offensive attacks. She is also aided by her familiar, a raccoon named Hayley. Through their mystic bond, they can communicate with thoughts, and Equinox can see through the small fuzzy animal's eyes if she so chooses. Hayley herself is somewhat more intelligent and powerful than a normal raccoon due to possessing traces of Equinox's residual magic.

Complications: Addiction (Cigarettes): While aware it's a filthy habit, Siobhan nonetheless has a ten-a-day one. "An' It Harm None, Do As You Will": Equinox follows the Wiccan Rede, and thus is reluctant to use damaging spells except as a last resort, preferring to talk or use binding spells initially. She also loses access to her Magic array for 24 hours if she stunts mind-controlling powers like Emotion or Mind Control against a human being. "DAMMIT, I HATE MY NAME!": Siobhan is irritated by her Gaelophile parents giving her a Gaelic name noone can pronounce. She finds it hard to resist losing her temper when people get it wrong or make fun of it. Enemy (Keter): For all Equinox and Eldrich know, Keter is still alive, and might yet claim his revenge. Magical Gestures: Without her wand to focus her magic, Equinox must use gestures and words to use her innate Environmental Control, Force Field, Flight and Magic array. Prejudice (Openly Practicing Wiccan): While not usually an issue, Siobhan's unconventional choice of religion sometimes lead to difficulties. Public Identity: Siobhan has recently gone public with her secret identity, and as an openly practicing witch, in an effort to educate about the occult and protect young, impressionable practitioners from harm. Responsibility (Eldritch): While Adrian Eldrich knows that Siobhan did more to stop Keter than help him, nonetheless, he helped her, coached her in magic and helped her at a low point, and thus Siobhan feels she owes him a favour. Responsibility (Family): While still somewhat estranged from them, Siobhan's family still matter to her, and she strives to protect them. Responsibility (Magical Threats): Equinox feels obligated to focus on preventing magic from being misused, and thus spends much of her time fighting magical foes. In particular, she specialises in those creatures native to Earth, not other dimensions, as well as those mages misusing their powers. Responsibility (Job): Siobhan Drake lectures on theology part-time in Freedom City University, and really can't afford to lose her job, because... Struggling: ...She hasn't much money, spending a lot of what she does earn on mystic supplies. Field). Similarly, the magic arrays stack, and the APs come from the whole array pp. Since it's Restricted 2, there won't be a situation where the wand's power alone gets used rather than with Equinox's. DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN
6. God knows, but Edrobot was online this morning, so...? Will wait until the two week mark, then archive.
7. Well, that'd make his Attack with his ring powers +15. Remember, Attack Specialisation adds +2 to hit.
8. I personally would allow it, but some people get irrationally annoyed about Attack Specialisation (one specific array), nevermind the fact that it's weaker than the Accurate power feat (you can't really put it inside a Device, nor do the pp count towards power stunting, yet people think it's more powerful than Accurate... *shrugs* Arrowhawk and Equinox both do it, so it'd be hypocritical of me to say no )
9. Well, my main suggestion for trimming pp is that all you have is Base Attack. Base Attack outside the ring, Base Attack inside the ring, no Attack Focus, no Attack Spec, it's all as expensive as it possibly can be.
10. Equinox leaned on one of the posts holding up the rope bridge for a second, and called out, "Just a second!" She whirled her wand around in a figure of eight shape. "Just remember next time you think you're so smart... I can rain fire and hell down upon you. I could call a hurricane, or a lightning storm, or a blizzard. It is within my power to shatter the very cliff I stand upon, casting the bridge and the rock down into the ether. And above it all, I would simply fly to safety." Her countenance turned grim. "Could you comprehend that? How easy it would be to snuff out your existence with a thought and a word? You think you're so smart, yet you so casually and carelessly gave up your personal safety in your arrogance. I tell you this now to warn you: attempt to trick me, and you will suffer. Attempt to ensnare my familiar again, you will not be able to try it a third time." But, rather than causing devastation, she walked onto the bridge and followed the faerie, still cradling the sniffling animal in her arms.
11. I'm a scary monster! (1d20+1=4) Well, I've got 4HP, things are rapidly going south, and really, Siobhan isn't in the best state right now. So I'll let it slide as a bad roll.
12. "Well, whether we do so or not really depends on one thing..." considered Equinox. <Whether they have cookies?> asked Hayley brightly. She took a light flick in the head for that one. "Nick, I can change in a click of my fingers, and these two clearly have no trouble taking off their disguise. Do you want to go to town in full costume, or are we going to play this under the radar? I mean, I doubt I'll be recognised quickly in a town like this, so we'd be able to wing it for a while without having to charge in wands blazing."
13. Before Siobhan could even finish her spell ("Kine-"), Hayley, still confused and disorientated by the strange goings-on, had bitten into the proffered fruit. "NO!" The cry escaped Equinox with a fury and rage. She raised her wand to the faerie's head height while darting forward to scoop up the fuzzball in her other arm. <Sorry,> came the snuffling, bemused voice in her ear. Siobhan just squeezed Hayley tighter, and gave her a brief kiss on the head. <I didn't... I mean... I don't...> "Ssssssh," said the witch soothingly, not lowering her wand arm for a second. "I'm here, it's alright. Nothing bad will happen." But her lips curled back in a snarl as her wand's tip burst into effervescent fire. "Little bastard, you're a fool, To think I'd let slide something so cruel. So you'll do two things, I swear to thee, Or your deal will be honoured by going through me." She stopped to take a long, angered breath. "First, tell me straight what your damned deal meant, What stupid deal your words have sent, Then get on that bridge and start to walk, Lead me to your lady, with whom I must talk."
14. "Fire is a pretty powerful tool for destroying," opined Siobhan. "Not just for it's destructive properties. Some traditions hold it can be used to cleanse and purify things of magic. Hell, to reconsecrate my tools every so often, I just set them on fire in a big bowl." She leaned back casually, puffing in some smoke. "But your theory's sound on the weakness front. Werewolves rarely have silver in their homes. A dryad isn't going to hang around near the barbecues and campfires in the woods. Demons don't go to church. Vampires... actually, they tend to have easily torn curtains and holy symbols lying around, but I think that's just a vampire thing." She blew a load of smoke off to the side so she could lean in close without blowing smoke in Marceau's face. "I say this a lot on TV, but it's worth saying again: mages are just people. Now, I say this so people aren't scared of us, not to point out the other facet to that." She lowered her voice to avoid people hearing it. "We're human. When I conjure my full power, I can turn tanks to molten slag, repel their shells without flinching, and then hurl the burned out shell into a building. But if I do that, relax, and then drop my magic, the army sniper would just blow my head off. We're smart, powerful humans... but when you get down to it, we're just bones and flesh like everyone else. We bleed. I'm not going to advocate this as your approach ever, but we do die. Heck, part of why I've got so much magic running through my apartment is that when I'm asleep, I'm just a normal girl from New Jersey."
15. Equinox involuntarily clutched at her head at the sudden rush of sensation as she stepped into Avalon. All around her, she could feel the magic in every rock, every stone, every being. The streams falling into the ether below seethed and sparkled with sparks of magical energy. Hayley was having a similarly confusing time initially, spinning around in a disorientated fashion, and falling to the ground with a soft thump. Managing to make some sense of the confusion, she curiously approached the fruit, mouth watering and head cocked to one side. <Dammit, Hayley,> came her mistress's voice in her head, and she curled up in a ball in shame. Equinox sighed and prodded the furball with her foot, before turning to the child. "Ignorant fairies," she muttered, before raising her voice. "Turn off the glamour, no child are thee, You think your magicks could ever fool me? I'll dally for as long as I damn well please, Coerce me not, or I'll drive you to your knees." She smirked at the faerie in the rock. "Besides, when arriving in a noble court, is it not the done thing to have an announcer to go ahead of you?" Her smug satisfaction was somewhat hindered by having to flick her wand and suspend her raccoon in mid-air, jaws open and poised around a fruit which was now just an inch too far away.
16. Siobhan glowered after the disappearing faeries, then turned to Hayley, and nodded briefly. The raccoon crawled up her leg and up onto her shoulder. "Spiti, James." In a flash of white light, the witch and raccoon vanished from the ruined landscape left behind them. The stack of books fell to the floor with a thud as they appeared in Siobhan's apartment, displaced air scattering papers everywhere. "OK, Hayley, we're going to storm Avalon," she said firmly, kicking books and ashtrays aside casually as she carefully drew a chalk circle on the floor. <Avalon? Like... the fairie place?> The raccoon cocked her head from her perch on the sofa. <Are we going to get shot at again?> The witch just nodded. "Yep. So, fair warning now. DO NOT EAT THE FOOD. They will ensnare you in a deal, you will not be able to leave, and what we're going in there to do will be very, very much compromised by me having to rip their laws asunder to bail you out." Her glare met Hayley's firmly. "Do you understand?" The furrball recoiled a little, but nodded. <No food. Simple.> Siobhan just rolled her eyes and stood up. "O Lord Hermes, the road I must traverse, A child is stolen, in another universe, Open this portal, and guide me through, Yea, open this portal and guide me through, Open this portal, so that I may pass, Into Avalon, to complete my task." She bowed briefly, wand held out to one side, and... a hole in reality appeared in the middle of her apartment, causing her eyes to water. She held her left arm out to be hopped onto. "Faithful sidekick!" she grinned, Hayley hopping on without hesitation. "It's show time." Without a second thought, she dived across into Avalon.
17. Alright, I've no further issues with this. However, I would encourage you to buy more ranks in Inspire as soon as possible in the next couple of months to make it a more useful feat. And because he's Captain America :approved:
18. Str 23 is pretty much exactly the same as Str 22 for every purpose beside 2-3 extra lbs of carrying capacity, and costing one more pp. I can't tell you not to take it, but I strongly advise against it. Knowledge, not Knowledgement. And you should specify Language 1 (English, native: Spanish). I'd also not bother with ranks in Profession, as his Craft ranks would allow him to do that job fine, and we don't use the rules for Profession affecting Wealth. Leaping, not Jump. It's Super-Senses 1 (Danger Sense [auditory) [1PP] You should specify heavy load: lbs here. Also, specify x2 distance for Leaping, and 10MPH for Speed.
19. Right, not quite got all the aspects down pat, but I got a lot of the rest flushed out. He's a friendly looking man in his 20s, with blond hair and blue eyes, clad in a nice-looking suit. To foster his "classical photography" business, he dresses in a sort of gentlemanly fashion, Dapper In A Suit, with a wind up pocket watch on a long silver chain. A quiet, shy-looking man who is somewhat nervous and doesn't look people in the eye much, but can come across and charming when he wants to. In particular, he seems to get on well with kids (Friend To All Children), charging a discounted rate for children's birthday parties. He has to use old-fashioned photography, keeping a dark-room in his basement which has a permanent magic circle painted and meticulously maintained, inside which he contains equipment he doesn't want to have to fix too often. In one corner, he has a small box where he keeps all his old books and potion ingredients, largely forgotten until now. When using magic, he projects his photomanctic spells and veils from two rings on his right hand. For longer spells, the silver chain on his watch unclips and can be carefully placed to form a useful, pre-reinforced and magically charged magic circle. Unskilled in most overt combat magic, he nonetheless can do a few useful tricks, like find someone using a photograph of them, bend light around him to form a veil, and project concentrated, hot beams of light from the two rings on his hand.
20. Actually, it'd take six stories to upgrade to full wizard. You need Evocations and Thaumaturgy, not Channeling and rituals.
21. Jim Butcher gave us a Wizard Private Detective of the White Council, and a Knight of the Cross Wielding Excalibur. We're got a failed Photomancer photographer and a book store owner.
22. Equinox tossed her hair back, and turned away from the redcap, not fearing the cowering, simpering thing. "And without her child still she'll be, Her plans did not account for me, But scurry off, little pig, take your friends, And hurry off, quickly now, a'fore your end," And the witch turned. "And bring a message back with you. I formally challenge your lady's champion to a duel. Terms to be discussed, but if I win, I want the child. She can name her price, and name her warrior. Can you do that?" She stirred up just enough wind around her to make her coat billow and blow in its breeze. "Or is it above the competence of you brave faerie warriors?" The last few words came out as a languid laugh.
23. As the audience hooted and hollered, applauded and gazed in awe, Kirk Talon came up behind Gabriel, laughing and clapping. And then whispered in Gabriel's ears, so the mic wouldn't hear him. "And that, Mr Self-Righteous, is why I stopped you 'inflaming his rhetoric'," hissed Talon. "You may think you're in the right, and one of my friends was on that street when your girlfriend beat up that golem. I think she's in the right, too. But, sadly, supporting you two will piss off the guy sitting across from you, who's funding a good chunk of this station. And oh, it's mean, and oh, it's hiding the real truth. But in this economy? It also stops all the people in this damn network from being jobless. And after that display? It stops a fight breaking out involving a man who can bend metal using sound waves." The man drew away, still clapping, that false grin back on his face.
24. Equinox's hand flared up brighter, and her eyes flared up a more brilliant white. "I know that, I'm not stupid." She shook her head. Then fixed her gaze directly on the captured faerie's, not even bothering to look tired, or exasperated. She just looked angry. Behind her, Hayley went to retrieve her wand, and the witch caught it deftly in her left hand without moving her right one, or even averting her gaze for a second. "Where in Avalon? What lady or lord? I'm going to them, with spell and sword, This child is not yours, it's plain to see, So I'll ask you again, or will you deny me?"
25. Intimidate: not at all subtle, incredibly quick to anger (1d20+6=12) Y'know that HP I got from rhyming... Scarier, this time. (1d20+6=8) + 10 = 18. Bwagh. Hero Point Count: Still 3.
