"Hi, Nick," smiled Siobhan warmly. She relaxed somewhat. Eric was at least an approahable guy, so she was feeling a little better about the idea of consulting him. "Could you just get me a strong black coffee, please?" Lord knows I need coffee... She glanced around the shop. "Is it normally this quiet?" she asked, making polite conversation. "Although admittedly that's a good thing for what I want to speak to you about."

Siobhan glanced at her watch wearily, knowing she was running slightly late. On the way to her meeting, someone's purse had been snatched, and she had to perform some quick hero work to recover it. She wiped some sweat from her brow as she approached the Black Petal Cafe. To those inside, they'd have seen a woman with long brunette hair, in a simple black t-shirt and blue jeans, pause briefly outside, rubbing at her temples. I'm wondering if asking his advice was a great idea... I mean, we've worked together, but I hardly know the guy... Then she shook her head slightly, and walked in, looking around for Eric LaCroix.

That'd make sense to me. There's not even an educational conflict, as all the US colleges seem to be finishing up on their exams about now, so there's not even that holding him back. He's also met Sage plenty of times, if that helps. Hehehehe, go for it. (Or try the European drop box ) Maybe the Pegasus is deliberately pathetic. Daedalus can build better, but on his intermittent missions in space he gets peace from us damn mortals constantly needing saved, so his ship is much slower than it has to be.

3-D is evil to us blind people who don't own contact lenses. Since you have to put glasses on top of glasses and it itches like all hell.

Now for something completely different... Whisky Noodles!!! Ingredients Noodles. --I used cheapish packet noodles, but a brand name like Super Noodles, not supermarket own brand rubbish. Get noodles which you would eat with another recipe. Flavoured noodles work, but make it a mild flavour. I used Chow Mein flavour. Whisky. --I used Southern Comfort for this. You probably want to use something like that, which has a bit of a fruity flavour, so it actually tastes of tasty, not of booze. Water --Duh. Disclaimer This, surprisingly, is a sober recipe. I have done it sober, and everyone adored them. I have done it drunk, and hatred ensued. It may seem like a dumb idea, but as a tasty pre-night out snack, it works Directions You're going to have to eyeball quantities, sorry. But as a rule of thumb, if drinking it would get you drunk, you're going about this the wrong way. I'm also assuming you can cook noodles, but since my first attempt at this was on a campfire, it's not exactly taxing. Begin by cooking the noodles as you normally would, adding water first, and if you insist on beginning to booze it up now, add maybe a capful. You don't want to drown them. After a few minutes of normal cooking, add a splash of whisky to the water. You want to do this quite early on, so the flavour has time to set in. Then simply cook as normal, adding a splash or so to taste every so often, but not too often. The main issue here is overdoing it. Remember, you're cooking, not boozing, so all you're aiming for is flavour. Think of it as a glaze, not the meal itself. Serve up, with a drink. I recommend a beer accompaniment, rather than whisky, to keep the palate balanced.

As Geckoman began to chip in with. "Getting to know you? Maybe that's not such a-", Spellbound quickly jumped in upon seeing the blood on Jack's chest. "Um... maybe you should go to the hospital or something? That doesn't look especially healthy." She frowned. "If you want, I could probably whip you up some nanoweave armour, or something." "How come I don't get that?" "You did. Then complained about chafing and overt warmth until I hid it from you."

"Eeeeeeeeh," offered Geckoman. "Roll with it, it can't go that wrong, right?" He shrugged his shoulders. "Besides," he said, helping Spellbound to her feet. "She was kinda hot." That earned him a solid punch in the arm. "Watch it," warned Spellbound. "But Captain Clever Timing has a point. I mean, she can't be all bad, maybe she's got a good reason for what she does. Give her a better reason to stop." She squeezed Geckoman's arm tightly and gave him a small smile. "Or just have s- OW!"

I think he possibly was referring to Ultimate Power's +0 Extra called Mental. Possibly. But in any case, that's possibly a Power Loss drawback, not a Flaw. Immunity to mental effects isnt that common, except in inanimate objects which you can hit anyway.

I am still having a really hard time at the moment, and to avoid having another repeat of "Sneerg is an utter prick more so than usual", I'm stepping off for a couple of weeks. Really, really sorry about having to do this, but I think it's for the best. Feel free to NPC/skip past my PCs in threads, hell, I'd advise it for anyone else, so do the same for me. Thanks, guys. :(

I think Rav means Vulnerability, not Weakness.

I don't know, what robot is grappling Spellbound? And Spellbound herself isn't Fatigued, "just" her primary Device. I'm not sure her, but to clarify, if the robot is bound, is it able to maintain the grapple on her?

"Makes sense," nodded Jeni. "I just can't get over the fact that there's all this choice, though." "But how could anyone possibly try all of it?" she asked, sitting down at the table with Gabriel. "Although I do generally have to eat a lot, because believe me, changing form takes a lot of energy. It gets really difficult when I'm tired or hungry." She speared a bit of bacon with a fork and chewed on it pensively.

Geckoman looked at Blueshift confuse. "Full sentences: nowhere?" he asked. "Seriously, not saving as much time as you'd think. Unless you really, really, reallyreallyreallyreally want to talk fast, it just makes you sound terse. Relaaaaaaaax. Slash talk faster." He whirled around to talk to the weird alien thing, adjusting his goggles as he went. "Anyway, let's start simple. What exactly is going on here?" By this point, he was squatting on a box he'd found nearby examining a funny stain on his glove. Looks like oil. Ew.

I'm aware I'm more behind than I usually am, so apologies, and I'll try to get finished with my sudden rush of hecticness as soon as possible. Bloody week of birthdays, assessments and presentations.

Jeni's eyes widened at all the foodstuffs laid out across the tables. "<Wooooah>," she said in a low voice in a strange alien tongue, the word drawn out despite seemingly being only one short syllable. "And you just... take what you want?" She followed Gabriel's lead, and picked up some of the foods, following his lead for some items of food, and in other cases deciding to take something that looked a funny colour, or had an odd texture, or was covered in sauce. "Is that enough to not stand out?" The plate, while not overflowing, looked decidedly full especially considering Jeni's stature.
-
"Yes, you're right," she nodded to Jack. "I'm going to need access to scientific facilities to make sure I don't change against my will again, and to find out why it happened exactly. If a Kaironian had done something like that before, I'm sure it would have been mentioned in a book, or a journal, or even talked about." Jeni gave a weak smile. "Then again, we'd never heard of Earth either, so guess I'm learning a lot of new things today, huh?"
-
Geckoman came down towards the portal, still fumbling with his remote, and talking into his commlink. "Right, doors are open, get out, get to the authorities, whatever. Tell them we're handling it. Or trying to handle it. Wait, scratch the trying part, it's less than reassuring." He flipped his remote into his yellow belt pouches, and looked up brightly. "So, jump into the portal without knowing where exactly it goes or how to get back? Is that even a question, that's just a Tuesday. Let's roll."
-
"That doesn't sound good," said Equinox, spinning round so she faced the source of the screaming. "I fear we may already be too late." She let her wings flap, carrying her up and away, soaring down the halls towards where the ritual was possibly taking place. "Come on, hurry!" she shouted back to the superheroes behind her.
-
Jeni turned, raising an eyebrow at the sudden overdramatic appearance of a bunch of werewolves. "Well... thanks for the offer?" she tried, unsure what to say in the face of another lot of strange wolf-humans. "Weeeeeell," said Jeni with a pained expression. "No, I'm not from around here, no. I crashed in this city not too long ago, and seem to be stuck here for a while, so I figured, why not help out where I can?"

"Hmmm," said Jeni, peering at the container of fizzing brown liquid in her hands. "Why is it..." she said to Gabriel under her voice. "Bubbling? Isn't water meant to be... inert?" She took an experimental sip, and then grinned broadly. "But... wow! The taste! This is... phenomenal!" She took another, larger sip. "What did you say it was... Cola?" She frowned. "What kinds of foods do you have, then? Do you have strange, fizzing solids too?"

"That, and I've only really got a good grasp of frost spells over the last month or so," said Equinox, continuing Nick's explanation. "There's also the fact that my magic is in some way tied to, well, the equinoxes, so around their timing... my magic tends to be a little bit less controllable. When I was a kid I used to blow out the lights every year." She punctuated her lecture by casually flicking her wand at one of the Eagle Warriors as he went down, another freezing blast lancing from its tip towards the fallen warrior.
