Jeni found her body and legs curling upwards as the green energy blasted out of her, before with a rush it all dissipated, causing a huge rush of air down onto her, planting her on her back. Her eyes shot open, irises turning brilliant amber even as her hair retracted inwards and lightened to a dirty blond. Her facial features broadened slightly as she visibly shrank in height by a couple of inches, yet gained a few pounds of muscle. Jeni shot bolt upright and looked down at the stomach, where the glow of green light jetted across her stomach wound and replaced it with a flat, muscled stomach. "What!?" She got up and began pacing, talking to herself in a slightly deeper voice than before, to go with her different appearance. "<OK, shorter, more heavily built, but... I'm not wounded! My shapeshifting hasn't been able to heal me before, damaged tissue is damaged tissue!>" Calmly, she forced herself to focus, trying to force the 'Revert' command into her shapeshifting network. Nothing happened. She tried picturing herself as she was a minute before... again, nothing. Tears welled up in the pits of her eyes as she tried vainly to shapeshift back to normal, looking for all the world like an upset young woman standing with her eyes screwed shut to avoid crying. She turned and railed on the superheroes assembled. "WHAT DID YOU DO!?" she screamed at them, amber eyes blazing brilliantly. Her jumpsuit hung slightly loose on her, due to change in height and build, hanging a little over her feet. The huge tear down the front highlighted further her new lack of an actual stomach wound.

With a huge THUMP, the ship exploded outwards, metal warping, stretching and distorting, before... without warning, the whole thing suddenly imploded in upon itself, twisting and distorting in ways which made the eyes water and geometry shut up and lie down for a few hours with a painful headache. In a second or two, all that was left was a vacuum and a small piece of metal fading into apparent nothingness, a small hole in space-time closing up over it as if nothing had ever occurred. As soon as the force field was lowered, the displaced air rushed in with an audible pop, but that was all the explosion that was apparently going to happen. "What the?" offered Jeni, laying back on the cold ground. I wish I could have told them what happened... they might manage to translate the computer eventually... But they're quite primitive... Then, without warning, the light in her hands surged up, surrounding every visible part of her body in a bright green glow. Jeni began spasming wildly on the floor, eyes rolling in her head.

Equinox soared in the air, gazing down upon Vigourie crash landing on the car park as she casually lowered herself downwards, wand levelled at him. "You asshole," she swore. "The whole time, all the bigoted nonsense you spout... it's been you. Well, I think it's time to remove a few misconceptions. This one's not just for you, but more for everyone who thinks I got rid of all the fire in the church and not, say..." Equinox smirked as her wand tip began glowing white hot. "Stored it in magical form?" She discharged all the magical energy she'd saved in one shot, a veritable inferno of flame and smoke, scorching off the tips of her eyebrows. Even as her anger strove to force the flame outwards, to vaporise the entire area and those in it, Equinox's willpower tempered it, forcing the fire into a narrow lance of solid heat that wouldn't injure, only render unconscious. But it would still burn like Hell.

Firstly, you'll want to change the turn order, delaying permanently shifts it. Secondly... Extra Effort on Equinox's Blast power, and as per house rules, Power Attack for 2 without the feat. So... DC 29 fire! (1d20+5=16) Wee, fire!

"Name?" By now, the woman's eyes seemed to have taken on a permanent green ting around the edges. He seems nice for a primitive being... I better try to keep talking... "I'm Jeni." Her accent was starting to sound slightly less BBC English, and slightly more Jack. She smiled up at him, revealing the fact that the green seemed to be spreading along the veins in her teeth, even as it rapidly became apparent on her face. The greenness was beginning to glow softly from within her. "Pretty?" "It's a place, Kairos. Where am I now?" As Miss A worked, from somewhere in the bowel of the ship, a low-pitched hum began sounding, along with a high-pitched wail of an alarm. The few functioning control lights in the system began flickering into light, casting a pale mauve colour. Hearing this, Jeni pushed herself up on the stretcher, and pointed at the ship, talking quickly in an even more rasping breath as the stress began getting to her again, and as she continued bleeding. "Out of the way! Moving, moving! Ship going to explode!" Then she saw her hand, realising it was beginning to glow slightly, not just across the veins, but all over the skin.

Equinox Delays until after Push.

For my reference, English phrases that Scholar has picked up. And Spanish!

While the systems looked nothing like any Earth computer that Miss A knew of, the principle seemed understandable enough. Self-contained modular systems were linked within the metal casing within a pliant gel carrying a current between the differing elements. While not immediately obvious which modules had which function, only three of them weren't cracked and spilling filaments out into the gel, two cylinders and a huge, blocky cube. The woman's eyes suddenly began to flicker, the irises and pupils fading into whiteness than fading back in again, green tinges appearing sporadically throughout both eyes. "" Even amid her injuries and crash, the woman seemed more preoccupied trying to work out the language. Nonetheless, she pointed out the door as if to request being moved.

We probably need this. BEFORE THE DOKTOR MAN COMES A-CALLING
-
Instantly, the side of the ship melted away, fluidly sliding apart to make a square doorway in the featureless surface. The woman on the floor began crawling forwards slowly, fingers digging into the plain black floor in an attempt to drag her forwards. "Kai..." Her arms gave out and she flopped onto the floor, immediately trying to force her way back up again. Sparks were flying from the central console by this point. "Kairos... " The girl began gasping for air, breaths coming quick and rasping.

"No can do, E-man," apologised Geckoman. "I drove up, the Pitchoo's under maintenance right now. I may have crashed into a few big metal objects and rendered the main anti gravity module nonfunctional. But I'm not committing to have done it." He gestured over to his Geckomobile. "Baby got some phat wheels, though, it's not quite as fast, but it gets me by." He started hitting a few buttons on the remote, as the car's panels began whirring and folding back in, returning it to the form of a perfectly normal looking green Sedan. "And isn't as easy to spot."
-
I'm stunting Quickness 6 (x100 speed) off of Geckoman's Enhanced Dexterity, hopefuly to make it less time consuming to free the hostages. Because mobile innocent bystanders are easier to save.
-
"Dammit, we got a lotta civilians here... Don't worry, we've got it all under control!" said Geckoman, rummaging round in his utility belt for something sharp and pointy with which to cut duct tape. "Gadget woman, I'm going to deal with this, you wanna help me, it'd be much appreciated, and much quicker, but if you want to go deal with the bad guys, I'm not sure that's much of a bad idea anyway... Aha! He triumphantly produced a pointy object. And quickly set to work cutting apart duct tape, trying to free hostages, speedy limbs blurring slightly as he went.

Sharl saw through the wall a sleek interior, plated with smooth silver metal and tasteful control panels. At least, he saw the remnants of this, with rapidly decaying metal and smoke rapidly becoming the predominant design feature. There was a round central console, about waist high, in the centre, with a woman appearing in her thirties holding herself up on it, maroon blood pouring from a huge wound in her stomach. With heavy eyes, she looked at the head poking into the wall of her craft, and forced herself to her feet, and began speaking in an alien language, unlike anything Sharl understood. "" She pointed at a big green button beside where Sharl's head was, hefting hwerself up and away from the console as she did so. For a second, her arm held upright and pointed at the button, her posture dignified and composed. Then she collapsed to the floor, her knees buckling underneath her like wet tissue paper.
-
"" gasped Jeni, as the central control panel exploded in the capsule. Warning lights on a panel opposite the door were coming on en-masse, and system monitoring lights dimmed into nothing as the ship's vital systems began dying. "" she said to no one in particular as the dimensional stimulator turned into fine particulate dust, collapsing a pocket dimension in on itself and causing most of the doors to seal closed as the extradimensional rooms they opened onto dissolved. The brown haired woman held herself up desperately, even as the gaping wound in her stomach poured maroon blood across her silver jumpsuit. The whole pod shuddered as it made another random jump, shattering across into a random dimension, a random timezone, a random galaxy. "" she said vaguely, resignedly laying down next to the remnants of the control panel, skin ashen and eyes barely held open. The silver pod was pyramidal in shape, apart from a point on one of the three corners and the tip, both of which were melted hunks of metal streaming an odd grey-green fluid behind them. The entire ship span and whirled like a dancing madman, flattening a lamp post as it bounced down and dented a garbage truck even as its driver leapt hurriedly to safety. For a brief second, the pod soared upwards as if it was to fly out of the atmosphere, before another tip of the pyramid exploded outwards, the metal molten and cracked. The smooth silver craft ploughed into the middle of the road, embedding itself in the concrete, a bizarre piece of alien metal with no doors or windows.

Geckoman pulled out a remote, casually bringing the ship over to just above the window he'd been told to dive through. "Wop!" he exclaimed, rolling off the walkway and casually catching himself with his heels so he dangled just out of sight above the window, one hand flat just above the glass. Then he rolled his whole body and launched himself in an arc through the window with a shout of "Weeeeeeee! Exploding glass!" That's probably gonna chafe later on...

"Dammit," swore Siobhan, pulling out her wand and tugging her pentacle out from under her shirt. "Stay here, keep down, and we should be able to stop this. Her voice was icily calm. The damn bigot... and that's what he was doing the whole time. With a flick of her wand, she had exploded into light, white force field shielding her, white wings arcing from her back, and a radiant glow pouring from all around her. "Harm none," muttered Equinox, taking wing and heading skywards, hoping that someone'd have the foresight to direct her.

It's in the future (she was born in 33021 ), and it's another dimension. And I can edit in that the rest of the population died in the fighting. -

The reason for the backstory cutting short is that I plan for her debut to be her crashing into Freedom City and rejuvenating, although I have written her description, personality, motivation, complication and entire stat block as her "second" incarnation. For completeness, the rough details of the short-lived first Jeni are as such: -

"Hmmm," pondered Equinox. This doesn't look like anything more than a normal case of young kid doesn't much understand the religion. "Out of interest, what sort of things does your coven do? Do you just get together and hang out, or do you... you know, different kinds of rites?" If they don't know what they're doing, it's entirely possible they confused some book on demon binding with one related to real witchcraft. Which is currently my assumption.
