Adds up. Adds up. Adds up. This is actually 37 skill ranks, not 36, so you need to drop one. Adds up. Adds up. So, fix 1 niggling skill point, and approved!

"Yeah, it fell out of my ceiling this morning. Fourteenth worst wake up I've ever had. Or maybe fifteenth, if if you count the time with the armadillo..." The teen in the green jumpsuit looked pensive for a moment, staring off into space. "Anyway, I'm assuming you did too, or you wouldn't have asked. Deduction!" Geckoman held out a hand to shake, fixing a broad grin on his face. "I'm Geckoman, pleased to meetcha." Please don't crush my hand, big guy. Please don't. It'll hurt.

The Geckomobile screeched across the miles at full speed, its driver barely flinching as he weaved in and out of traffic casually, one hand on the wheel. The other hand held a bagel filled with cream cheese and ham. Sweet, delicious ham. As he cruised into Ashbury Park, Geckoman slid his foot carefully on the throttle, bringing the car down to a casual, meandering speed. The nuclear reactor engine purred softly like a petrol engine, for no explicable reason, the thick armored tires plodding across city streets easily. He pulled up to the kerbside beside a large green man in a labcoat. "Hey," he said, a slightly thicker than usual window sliding open at the press of a button. "Are you from Freedom City?"

Chris Kenzie sat up abruptly in bed as he heard the thud. In that second it took for him to go from asleep to sitting bolt upright, he'd already reached to the bedside table and grabbed a Geckorang. He quietly slipped out of bed, Liz still lying asleep like a log. As he padded across the room near-silently, she rolled over, pulling more of the sheets onto herself and settled back into restful sleep once more. Coming out into the small hallway from their bedroom to the living room, Chris tripped and fell over the piece of plaster sitting in the middle of the carpet. Choosing to stay on the floor, he picked it up pensively, and looked around. The walls were just as they'd always been, apart from one slightly cleaner looking part of the roof. He looked back down at the mysterious piece of plaster, to see it etched in a clean, clear font. Geckoman secured his goggles around his eyes firmly, pulling a piece of post-it note and pencil out of his utility belt as he did so. Gone out of city for the day. Hopefully back for dinner. Love you. Bending over, he gently pushed Liz's tousled hair away from her face, and kissed her on the forehead. "Mmwrglemmm," she said in reply, stirring a little. So Geckoman put the post-it note onto her forehead, pausing to make sure it was stuck correctly, and went out the window.

Carson Smith leveled the handgun at the hulking red alien as it shattered through his front door. And pulled on the trigger. THUD! THUD! The bullets tore huge holes in the creature's torso, but still it came. Behind him, his wife Maria was holding their struggling crying daughter in her arms, frozen in fear. Carson briefly turned to shout at her, "Maria! Get Kimberly out of here! GO!" He turned back as the alien's powerful fist slammed into his chest, hurling him backwards and into the wall. Kimberly screamed as her daddy grunted in pain and struggled to his feet, firing three more rounds at his attacker. "Get out of my home!" he roared over the bark of the pistol. Maria started running for the back door, Carson limping behind her, keeping the alien beast at bay. Then they all turned in horror as the back door exploded in, revealing three more of the brutes cutting off their escape. Carson took Maria's shaking hand and held it in his. "Mar, I'm happy we had all this time. I love you," he said hurriedly as the pack of red monsters closed in on him. "I love you two, Carson," she said, holding him close along with Kimberly, who was still bawling and screaming. Carson put his arms round his daughter, and shushed her gently, covering her eyes with his hand. That was the point where the green-clad boy in the black leather jacket came down through the ceiling. His foot was pointed heel downwards, having obviously kicked clean through the floorboards and plaster, his messy brown hair tinged white from the dust. "Allons-y, alien freaks!" Before he'd even landed, the kid had put his feet shoulder-widths apart, landing on them as a yellow object flew from his hand and smashed into the side of the wounded alien's head, sending it crashing to the ground. "Carson Smith? I need you to come with me," commanded the figure, jumping and twisting in mid-air to bring two legs firmly into another alien's chest. "Unless you want to stick around and get attacked by Grue," it continued, spinning and driving an elbow hard into the guts of the last two aliens. "And that'd be... not good." The family, warily, got to their feet and looked oddly at this new arrival. "How did you know that we needed the-" began Carson, before his gaze shot to something over Geckoman's shoulder. "Oh Lord. There's five more," he whispered.

There're PCs without crippling character flaws? Thing is, I like the alliteration cliche. It's cliche for a reason, because it gives you easily recognizable catchy names right off the bat, and it's very in-genre.

Chris looked solemn as he came out of the room, and looked at Liz, who was busy pinning various metal circuits and batteries into the lining of an old leather jacket. "We need to fix this. But I can't see how to fix it," he said. Liz held up the jacket. "Kenzie, the bomb isn't removable. It'd just trip it off. But, I have this." She sighed deeply. "It should be able to throw you back in time to undo this before it actually happens." Chris frowned, taking it off her and examining the circuits. "Doesn't look very big. You sure it's a time machine?" "It's got enough battery to get back to the invasion, and then to get you back here," she explained, ignoring his comment. "You set the date and time with this fob watch." She reached into a pocket and pulled out an old fashioned pocket watch attached to the jacket with a chain. Only the chain had a lot of cables running down the middle of it, and the watch was glowing vaguely green-yellow. "I don't know how altering time is going to work, but I know I'm not going to stop you doing it, so... what are you waiting for?" Chris simply laughed, dropping off all his clothes to reveal the green Geckoman jumpsuit. He pulled the leather jacket on over the top of it, clicking a couple of straps dangling from it over his chest and pulling his goggles down over his head to rest at his neck. "A Christmas miracle," grinned Geckoman, pulling a cord on the jacket. The flash of white light was all-enveloping.

"You want some anti grav stuff?" asked Chris, looking at Trevor happily. "Yay, you're no longer unreasonably fixated with being stuck on tarmac!" He went to pat Trevor heartily on the back when he saw Liz hurriedly shaking her head at him. "Or..." Liz, exasperatedly trying to pull Chris out of this jam, stepped in at this point. "What project would this be, Trevor?" She pointedly put a hand on each of Trevor's shoulders and pointed him at the ship as Chris tried to slope off.

Extra Effort a Power stunt: Paralyze 10 (Extras: Alt Save - Fort [+0]) [30PP] (freeze the bones) Power Attack for 2, so DC 22 Fort save (1d20+8=21)

Equinox wasted no time, immediately spreading the huge white wings on her back and soaring up the stairs, already twirling and flicking her wand as she prepared a spell. Magical energy spiraled around her, focusing and building up in the tip of her wand. As she reached the top of the stairs, she thrust it towards the staff wielder, seeking to focus the freezing elements upon him, and slow his movements enough to apprehend him. Frost crystallized on the walls, floor and ceiling as the potent blast rocketed at him.

Thanagarians! LASER CANNON, HO!

Yeah, a big orbital weapon system is probably less preferable than the heroes diving in and beating up things instead.

I'd be happy to pitch in a pp or so for the big HQ. Word of warning though, as my PC already has an airship he's happy to use to ferry team mates around, I'm pretty unwilling to pay for vehicles in future.
-
Equinox reeled back for a second as the mental assault hit her. But she redoubled her formidable willpower, stiffening it into a mental block that repelled the worst of the attack. "you know, once you physically assault me, I have no qualms about ceasing to restrain you," explained the witch, as she thrust her wand forward in one hard motion, white light shimmering around the robed figure. "But I think you're a rookie who needs a break, so I'm going to keep going easy." And with that, she pointed the wand upwards, and correspondingly, the staff wielder was raised up too in a vise-like telekinetic grip. Equinox flew over to him, until she was eye level with the man. "Emphasis on the word rookie. I can help you train, put your powers to good ends. But you need to help me to help you."

I'd like you to tell me why you assumed I'd know the DC25 save was necessarily Damage? Anyway, 2 HP, 1 Bruise, my round... Telekinetic grapplin'! +16 grapple bonus (the total on my sheet is wrong, as Attack Spec [Magic] shouldn't work on grapple). It is time to grab him and suspend him in the air... Shoot n grab (1d20+10=24, 1d20+16=32) Now, under our house rules I can sustain the grapple as a free action, so I'll keep him hanging in mid-air until I can grab his staff. So, my move action is flying up next to him. Hurrah.

DC 25 Will save (1d20+12=24) Failed by 1, so... bring on whatever the pain is so I can act accordingly.
-
Geckoman is doing very, very little, and he might be interested in a team which would appreciate his fancy gadgets/

Equinox effortlessly spread her arms, white wings of blazing force lifting her clear off the ground as the rippling floor swept underneath her feet. Hovering in place, she pointed her wand at the staff wielder. "I warned you," she said, shaking her head gently. She flicked the tip of her wand at her opponent, and white force exploded forth into long whirling chains, which lunged and converged upon the man and his staff, seeking to pin them in place and restrain them from causing further harm. "I think you should hand yourself into the authorities."

DC22 Reflex, then Dex check (1d20+6=26, 1d20+1=16) Tah-dah! A'ight, spend one of my three HP in order to buy off the Extra Effort. Then, use my move action to fly up and off the ground. Then... DC 20 Snare (1d20+10=12) Bugger. Re-roll. Hopefully, this sucks less (1d20+10=18) +10, this goes up to 28! Hits! Down to 1 HP.
-
Eh, Attack roll is Attack roll, Kenson's builds tend to have the issue of flexibility and filling up AP slots properly Initiative (1d20+1=8) Ding.
-
Diplomacy check (1d20=15) I'd assuming that I've only got time to di it as a Full Round action, hence why it's 15, not 25 :D
-
"And I was hoping we could talk about this civilly, my earlier words were merely an attempt to find you quickly," said Equinox, not letting the man's words bother her. "Put down the staff," she said, pointing her wand to the floor. "We can talk about this, without causing further damage and wantonly throwing around magic. What do you say?" She held her hand out, palm down, to indicate that she didn't intend to harm the man. Nonetheless, she didn't relinquish her wand despite pointing it away from the man.

Extra Effort up: Communication 3 (1000', auditory, Extras: Area [+1]) [6PP] off the magic array.
