Frost advanced on Morgen, quickly, and caught her sword in his left hand! He squeezed and ice rimed the blade, sliding up and down the shaft until it pushed against the woman's hand. He could feel the magical weapon freezing solid in his grasp, but even as he tightened his fingers he knew it would not be enough. He squeezed hard, his own flesh hardening as he met the woman's eyes, his own glowing a brilliant red as the icy cold of death itself erupted from his hand. He answered her demand by declaiming "Thus!" at the top of his non-existent lungs.

As my move action, Frost will try and Intimidate her! She's probably fearless but that's OK, I'll probably need the HP from that. ? He only got a 7 on his check so even if you give me a bonus for what's written, might be tough. Whee!

Sounds good.

Actually the giant robot is up! @KnightDisciple, give me a DC 25 Reflex save. -
"My last hive is in trouble. I heard those metal things wrecked it." He paused to take several breaths, then said, "There are secretz there no man may know - save the Bee-Keeper." He fixed his rheumy gaze on Baxter and said, "I need you to go to my last hive and fix it. Once you do, all that's there can be yours..." He coughed, a dry rattle in his throat, and settled back onto the bed. Her face set and her eyes a little damp, Anna took Brian's other hand - it was obvious she wasn't leaving him any time soon. She looked over at Baxter and said, "I think he means the place they built that big casino thing over, High Steaks they call it? Yeah, that's one," she said, after a moment's consideration. "Calendar Girl," Brian whispered suddenly, looking up at her with a smile. "Won't you sing for me?" Without even looking at Baxter, Anna began to sing in a strained voice - "I love, I love, I love my calendar girlYeah, sweet calendar girlI love, I love, I love my calendar girlEach and every day of the year..."

ooc The Bee-All And End-All (OOC)
Avenger Assembled replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in Archives
The statue is definitely a Hindu deity - though not one he immediately recognizes. That 30 deserves a good reward - that bank no longer exists! It merged with a big New York City chain some thirty years ago; they even put in new stonework in their Freedom City headquarters to reflect its absence. Diamondlight _does_ remember there was a high-profile robbery in that bank's history in the early 1960s; the vault and a major cash shipment was plundered by a supervillain called the Bee-Keeper. No one ever found out where he hid the loot. -
This character seems a little thin for some reason...
-
This looks like a good start! I would cut back on many of the drawbacks, as many of those (like the holy ground thing) are best left to Complications. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, @Heartbreaker! You can always pop into chat if people aren't noticing your sheet for whatever reason.
-
I am delighted to see this is up and going - please let me know if there's anything I can do to help, or if the thread slows down.

The Jigsaw Man began chanting again - and suddenly that stink of dead chickens and human blood was filling Chromium's metal nostrils, seeming to pour down his throat and assault his very core! His bowels twitched and his metal body shivered as unholy energy seemed to suffuse his body as the eldritch glow in the Jigsaw Man's eyes grew to cover Chromium's tough hide too. Wadjet cursed explosively at that, worked her gun and fired - and a ball of chemicals hit the Jigsaw Man right in the cheek! He gagged and staggered as the fluid was absorbed into his skin and in his mouth, for a moment retching with two tongues simultaneously. Both combatants were weakened now, shaken by eldritch magic and powerful soporifics - the fight was still anyone's game.
-
This time it's a Nauseate check - so you're Sickened. "suffering a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and checks." On her turn, Wadjet shoots the guy with her own Fort check! http://orokos.com/roll/656062 = that just baaaarely hits Fort save vs 18 http://orokos.com/roll/656063 He is slowed! "and can only take a standard or move action each round (not both). The target takes a –1 penalty on attack rolls, Defense, and Reflex saves" Okay, you're up as soon as I post IC.

ooc The Bee-All And End-All (OOC)

Let's see another Art check and a Business check, Cape. -
Anna frowned, looking uncertain for a moment, then relented. "All right. I guess I got no grounds to complain about somebody goin' straight." She made a short noise at that, then said, "You gotta understand, Brian Nisbet is the closest thing in this world I had to a father since my parents passed. He never had no kids, he never had any family at all except his work. The thought of somebody triflin' with his legacy...well it just don't sit too well. Come on, he'll be glad to see you." Inside the room, an old, old man was waiting for Baxter. He'd never actually done the math on how old Brian Nisbet was but he'd started out as a supervillain in the 1940s and retired around the time Baxter's parents had been born. He was the far side of 90, and looked it. He was old, stretched out in bed, the hair on his head gone and his dark skin wrinkled, a faint fuzz of white beard on his face. There were tubes up his nose, and he didn't rise to greet Baxter upon his entrance. "Brian," said Anna as she entered, raising her voice to rouse Nisbet. "There's somebody here to see you..." Brian Nisbet turned his head slowly and slowly, slowly smiled at the sight of Baxter. His voice was old and papery, like the skin on his hands as he reached over and took Baxter's hand. "Bee-Keeper. I have a mission for you." - The vault was hard to open, requiring Diamondlight to exert himself to his utmost, but there was evidently no security - whoever's place this was, they hadn't feared robbery. Inside was a statue with a fearsome mein, a four-armed goddess that stood a good eight feet tall. She carried a mace, trident, sword, and shield in each hand, and her gagra choli was marked with large black insects Diamondlight couldn't immediately identify. The goddess wasn't alone in here; she was joined by something far more mundane - sacks of currency stamped with the mark of National Bank of Freedom. The air in this room was thick and cool; and from the faint hiss as the door opened, it hadn't stirred in here in some fifty years. The inside of the room had the same hexagonal shape as its door, and come to think of it, if you stripped away the dirt and decay outside, wasn't the whole complex marked by those hexagons?

Okay: Comrade Frost is going to try and grab her sword with his free hand as a power move. Attack: http://orokos.com/roll/656025 = I strongly suspect a 16 doesn't hit, so I'll spend an HP. http://orokos.com/roll/656028 = 24! Okay, that's a DC 22 save vs. having its Tou drained. That's one standard action! Let me know how that goes, Cape, and I'll finish his action.

I am sure my fellow Refs will notice something I don't, but everything here seems all right to me! APPROVED
-
Did I never start an OOC for this? Shame, shame! I did promise some actual numbers - so @Gizmo, let's see a Tactics check from you. @Electra, you can take Erin's Notice for Skill Mastery (which may not be high enough), or you can roll it - with the caveat that it's what _all_ the Erins will roll.
-
The Jigsaw Man is the Mara's leader - nobody knows for sure what he looks like, but he's supposed to have crazy magic powers and do weird Aztec voodoo stuff! (Aztecs and voodoo don't actually have anything to do with each other, but that was Streetwise, not Arcane Lore). He's going to try tagging you again - this time, give me a DC 16 Fort save.

Singularity's sudden move made her the target of the Omegadrones, but their power was beginning to diminish as the heroes cut through their ranks. Blasts turned against her shield and pikes broke against her skin, leaving behind cuts and burns but doing no serious damage to the nigh-unstoppable powerhouse. They seemed to know what she was doing, but with so many foes on the field they were in no position to do anything about it - at least for now. The prisoners were inside a vacant outbuilding, one whose roof had been torn off and the building itself sealed up, turning what might have been a warehouse or parking garage into an open-topped box with a sinister purpose. The drones were focused on Singularity now, but the people Jessie could make out through the windows looked too frightened to move wide-eyed and bloody. Where could they go, anyway? Sea Devil forced herself to concentrate on her own fight as she watched Jessie disappear into the melee on her way to rescue the trapped humans, her trident warming in her grip. The gods _were_ on their side today! Though maybe not on Cobalt Templar's side! The giant Terminus abomination responded to his defiance by simply raising one giant leg and kicking him aside, and across the field into a nearby wall, concrete and rebar flying as he made a tremendous, teeth-rattling impact. The creature had taken out several Omegadrones with the force of its blow, but there were more where that came from...

Okay, the Omegadrones turn on the one breaking into their territory! They're dazed and injured, so I'll say their damage is halved - it can't get through Jessie's impervious. @HG Morrison, Foreshadow is up! -
"Wait a goddamned minute," said Anna, peering up at the Bee-Keeper with a sudden look of suspicion in her eyes. "...are you not the same goddamned Bee-Keeper who bought the rights to the name from Brian Nisbet for fifty thousand dollars? So he could finally get the good nurses and not have to live on charity and selling off his old things?" Her voice was a low hiss, semi-public hallway or not. "Because if you stole that armor from that man, and you flew all this way making me think you were the real deal..."

Anna considered her answer to that carefully before giving the name of the man Wadjet had interrogated - and what she'd learned from him. "One of the Lady's, er, informants found out some useful information." She thought quickly, of how she and Wadjet had passed their time in the iron works as they waited for the fire to go down. Shoulda snagged one of those robots! she thought, annoyed. The one time she'd failed to steal something, too. "And we got some pictures of the inside of the place too; good ones." She thought about what she knew of the laws in Wisconsin. "Listen. You can't do much here, on account'a Wisconsin not respectin' super-investigations. But what if I could get you more? Like a confession?"
