  1. Okay, before I go making crazy posts - any tactical ideas here, @KnightDisciple, @Electra, or @HG Morrison? Aquaria isn't the sort to come up with really coherent plans - but I figured someone would have made some suggestions along the line!
  2. Wadjet had been just about to explain to the little man the kinds of constitutional rights he was likely to get from Bedlam cops given how he looked - but wait, what did he just say? "...Giant robot?" she asked after several seconds of silence. If there was a giant robot in this town, she had to get a piece of that damned thing - and maybe destroy it if it was going to go around murdering people. Still, she could imagine what she could do with a thing like that...
  3. One small thing - you don't need the Knockback, you can just have the Perception Range Blast as a Standard Action. But that's up to you, your current construction is legal! And Impervious is capped at PL, so you need to drop 2 ranks of it from your Force Field.
  4. "My justification lies in the shattered bodies burned to ash in the fires of the Omnicide; in the weeping of the all-deads, in the violation of..." Tarva looked away, bringing a cloth to her face to wipe black tears away. "I...am sorry I could not save more. I know Aquaria and Jessie were out of the building today, and so was Fleur de Joie - but there are thousands of people in this building, and mighty guardians to go with them. There will be time to build a new society here-" "Invasions have been repulsed by their world before!" declared Bluebird with great firmness. "Why would you think this one so deadly? Is it because you know what would happen to _you_ if you were near the armies of entropy?" "The flukes that saved their lives before will not save them now!" declared Tarva, eyes blazing black. "I made the sacrifices that saved them! I paid the price!" "The price to what? To what foul things did you sell us for your own salvation?" demanded Bluebird.
  5. Can you post the numbers for his Density?
  6. Let's do it - Holland it is!
  7. I'll let @Ecalsneerg make this roll so he'll have a thing to post!
  8. @Tiffany Korta?
  9. Other people's mistakes were something Esperanza couldn't stand. "Listen, idiot!" she snapped, "Ptah is the Egyptian smith god - Hephaestus is Greek!" She stared at the man and decided perhaps this was the wrong time for this conversation. "The one that died in your plant. The one that everyone's investigating." Everyone was not in fact looking into it, but if this guy thought a lot of eyes were coming his way, he might be willing to talk.
  10. https://www.freedomplaybypost.com/topic/10654-cultural-competence-ic/ there you go, Tarra!
  11. Summer 2018 Hardwick Park From her rooftop perch, Wadjet watched the girls down below through binoculars, occasionally stopping to make notes in the notebook she'd started carrying. Los únicos que quedan son los que no fueron con Mouse, ¡estúpido! ¿Crees que a la Mara le importa una mierda que no corras? She was writing down names and faces now, the names of girls she'd grown up with, wondering when they were going to find themselves in the goddamned graveyard. Once she was sure she had all of them, she and Anna were going to pay them a little visit and get them to get the Hell out of town. This group of four, the oldest of which couldn't be more than sixteen, was eating pupusas and obviously working themselves up to steal the silver Porsche 911 that some dumbass whiteboy had left parked here in a corner of the neighborhood near Wolverton, where the cops usually didn't bother patrolling. She didn't really care about what property crime they were about to commit, but if she could catch them in the act, it might be a weapon to use to get them the hell out of this neighborhood - this neighborhood where dreams went to die.
  12. Ah, jeez! Esperanza, get yer ass down here! "By Ra's flaming eye! Wadjet, come quickly!" The sniper did so, sliding down a zip line so fast that the distinct smell of burnt nylon filled the air. Armored and armored, Wadjet was an enigma in blue as she went to work on the fallen woman, peering into the woman's eyes with a flashlight and checking her pulse, before turning and shaking her head at the other heroes. "Stroke," came her muffled voice, having lost its playful edge entirely. "Not normal. Can't make the drugs in time. Your call."
  13. Medicine: Lady Horus will attempt to aid Wadjet: 22 (a nat 20!) Wadjet: (trained) 15 = 18 with the aid bonus
  14. Anna was silent at that for a moment, thinking. "The first vampire I ever met was a girl named Lenore. Well she called herself Lenore, but you know," Anna's mouth quirked in a smile. "She ran this little place where people could go and have some fun and nobody would ask too many questions. That's actually where I saw women kiss for the first time, but never mind that." She leaned back, her voice losing some of its animation - and though her face didn't change, she sounded older. "She loved the Raven, but he didn't love her back, not really. She was just...a bad girl he could play with when he wanted to. They did this dance for years...but eventually he settled down and got married to some Chinese woman and they had a baby." Anna exhaled and said, "Lenore went out in the sunlight after that and she burned away to ash. I knew other vampires, but she was the one who could be a normal person's friend." She sighed and turned to Nicola. "So you ain't gonna shock me by being a vampire, Nicky. Lots of people get power from the blood of other people. You just do it nicer than most of 'em." And if that kills the mood, so be it, she thought, a little unhappily. I ain't no normal person neither.

  16. "Martin Todd!" Rather than waste one of her limited shots, Wadjet let her growl alert Todd to her presence - an armored, masked figure with a good-sized rifle. If it was all reworked paintball gun gear, well, someone in your house without you knowing it was still intimidating enough. Her gender wasn't immediately obvious either; which suited "Pharoah's assassin" and her own inclinations just fine. "Here to talk about your job. Dead woman." She'd always lacked for the social graces, she had to admit, but she'd found that her costume, her weapon, and her manner had a way of breaking down doors. "Don't turn off the television. Neighbors'll worry."
  17. How about a thread where Wadjet and Chromium go up against the Mara, @Tarrakhash?
  18. Damn! I was really hoping I could smack some sense into this broad but I don't think she knows anything - and I ain't gonna go making enemies for no purpose after I already banged up her bedroom. After all, if she was gonna spend her golden years up here where the cold hurt her knees half the year, she needed to start making more friends. "You have my thanks, fair Eve. I will find the one who stained your factory with the blood of the murdered dead - and exact the Sunhawk's vengeance." With that, she was gone out the window again; this time with perhaps slightly less property damage. A lunch meeting with her sidekick in the latter's converted chemistry lab persuaded Wadjet to join her for an evening's excursion; after all, she had some new gear she was ready to field-test, and wasn't she tired of always being the backup? And so it was that that night, just about the time the Packers exhibition game was coming on the local TV sports channels and any red-blooded son of Wisconsin was busy, that the costumed visage of Wadjet the sniper entered the home of Martin Todd, the supervising engineer of the Iron Works. Wadjet lacked the powers of her sponsor but she was well-trained; and armed. Slowly she moved through the house, taking it as a tactical exercise to make sure she would have Todd's undivided attention...
  19. So I don't wanna drag the thread off-track - @Tiffany Korta, @Exaccus, what do you think we should do?
  20. should I be doing something here, Ari?
  21. “Sure, we all will,” agreed Mark a little distractedly. “We’re a team. And I’m ready,” he said, straightening the blue suit and Windsor-knotted tie that were his trademark. Perhaps he could have worn a more practical outfit, but if his powers failed him over there, he was dead anyway. But then wasn’t this avoiding that the whole point of all this? I won’t make my son an orphan or my wife a widow - or let anyone else be. As the cosmic batteries fired up to power the Terminus gateway, he knew things wouldn’t be the same after this. Unbidden memories of Unitarian Sunday School came to him; the stories of the Harrowing of Hell. But what did that make them? It was easy enough to open the gateway, a flat displacement in the air that shimmered with the unhealthy rainbow color of gasoline on water. As ever with the Terminus, the trick was going to be getting out again.
  22. This looks great, let me know if you need more PCs/GMs, Tarra!
  23. "Your advice is kindly taken, I am sure," said Frost as he pulled back the hammer of his revolver. "You understand that we require a more valuable coin than your word. It is possible that your master left the United Kingdom for Hong Kong and then flew back across entirety of Old World to land of wooden shoes and windmills but it seems highly improbable." He snapped the fingers of his free hand and went on, "I may have powers of spells and fairies but I am man of science. I take being lied to very poorly, sir, and should I find that you have done so, you will find that my reach is exceedingly long, and my grasp exceedingly cold." He shot a glance upwards at the ceiling, wondering if their listener would actually be joining them.
  24. The group found a quietly agitated Bluebird 'waiting' for them in the conference room, translucent blue-tinted screens on the walls displaying the growing world around them. "There is no sign of entropic contamination in this dimension at all. The shadow-witch has pulled us entirely out of your hyperdimensional axis." The cybernetic intelligence was obviously seething beneath her mask of calm, passing right through the table as she paced. "We are not in a dimensional framework which my database can recognize without significant further information. Where is she?"
