A low Grapple score isn't even that bad of a thing, but if your character isn't a grappler, you shouldn't invest in grappling feats Pretty much. Asad is a great grappler, but he has super-strength.

"Her ma lives by me," said Anna, who was substantially more Anglo than the typical inhabitant of the area. "Esperanza's," Anna pronounced it turning the second to last syllable into "Anne", "been super-crazy since she was a kid - she's got pictures of Raven, Midnight, all of 'em up in her bedroom. Pinky said lately she's been sneakin' out at night, so she thought she was trying to be a hero." Anna laughed a bitter laugh. "I kept telling her she needed to send the kid to Freedom. Goddamned Bedlam, though." "You don't understand. He's not going to let me live - and he's not going to let you live now that he knows who you are." Esperanza had been badly beaten about the face and body, enough to turn her face into an eruption of swelling and bruises, and one front tooth was out. "He beat me until I couldn't walk - then put me there in that alley so you would find me." Anna gripped Esperanza's hand, sitting by her side with the look of a concerned grandmother. She was fidgeting, free hand's fingers drumming, shifting in her seat with almost manic energy. "Who did it, honey?" "The Hammer of Justice."- 17 replies

Lady Horus didn't seem interested in talking - instead she was darting around at speed, pulling down the shades on the windows, then actually picking up and putting the waiting area's couch directly in front of the door. "No! No, get away!" The injured young woman was filthy too, with the smell of one of Bedlam's back alleys on her bloodstained clothes and broken skin. The injuries looked hours old, but it seemed as though shock and dehydration might be the greatest threats. She was trying to push Thorne away but she was not in good enough shape for that. "No, he'll find me and he'll kill me, and he'll kill you..." "She was left with these wounds in her-her-blast this wretched thing!" Are you sure this is what you want? came the voice in her head. ...Yeah. Lady Horus, without much fanfare, reached up and did something neither Liam nor Rosa had seen her do on television - she pulled off her helmet. The removal of the helmet made her divine armor seem to vanish in a faint, shimmering cascade of light that left the most famous heroine in Bedlam looking - diminished. Lady Horus was older than she looked in the helmet, somewhere in her mid-fifties if her interlocuters were any judge, wearing a sweater and slacks that belonged to the previous generation's sense of fashion. She stared at Liam and Rosa defiantly for a moment, then said in an accent thick enough to be startling, "Some bastid beat the Hell out of her and dumped her in a freakin' alley in Hardwick Park! Left her there all night, it looked like!" "Lady Horus?" the injured girl stared up at the revealed face of Bedlam's golden guardian. "Is that you?" "No." Keeping the helm still under one arm, she reached down and took the injured girl's hand. "My name is Anna."- 17 replies

You don't need to pay for Cellphones and mundane equipment by our house rules. The big thing is that you need to get your character up to offensive caps too - remember, you should be at ATK+DMG /2 = 10 for a PL 10 character. You should honestly have fewer flaws and drawbacks on your sheet - a lot of these are either better left as Complications or should be changed up in other ways. You should write your powers more like this: Shield 7 [7PP] HydroGeometric Kinesis 12 (24PP Array, PF: Alternate Powers 3) [27PP] BP: Move Object X AP: Blast X AP: Create Object X AP: Damage X -

Are you sure you want that drawback on your speed? Why not just have Speed 2? -
Why not put the Attack Spec into the Device itself? 3PP will get you 5PP to spend, since it's Easy to Lose. Does she need all those Grapple feats with her terrible Grapple score?

May 10, 2017 Wolverton Bedlam City Black Rose Detective Agency 9AM A god kicked in the door not long after opening. Lady Horus flew into the Black Rose Detective Agency with speed fast enough to send loose papers flying everywhere, then kicked the door shut behind her with equal alacrity. "Lo!" she called in that oddly resonant voice that was familiar both from the television and to the local residents of the Wolverton/Hardwick Park area - "where is thy doctor? This girl needs care!" In her arms, or rather, wrapped in her white and gold cape was a battered-looking young woman in the torn remnants of a super-costume - the darkly complected Hispanic girl looked like she'd taken a heavy beating from somebody.

"It smells funny," opined Sea Devil, crouching by the table with her face-mask pulled back. "Like the volcanoes in the depths of the sea, the ones that make the black water - or the bottom of Blackstone, where they made the light." She wrinkled her snout, an impressive sight, and opened her mouth to 'sniff' the air - an even more impressive sight given the size of her open maw and the length of the tongue she occasionally protruded. "Could he be underground?" she asked, peering at the earth uncertainly. She knew how soft the earth was here - easy to dig! But there was no sign of any tunneling to her eyes. Shaking her head, she let her helmet close over her face, plunging her back into a more comforting dimness. "What do you think, Singularity? After this, we can find Blackstone's scent again."

"I should prolly get back to Freedom if we're done here," said Woodsman, sitting down on the curb as the sound of approaching sirens got closer. "Hey, we did pretty good," he opined. "We beat the bad guys, saved the nice old people, and maybe we'll get back at this another time if we run into those crazy cultists again." He hesitated a moment, then turned to Hyperactive. "I, uh, don't have any powers and I have a nine o'clock class. Can you...?" He shrugged a little, evidently not wanting to finish his sentence when his implication was pretty obvious.

"It's a Texas thing," commented Richard to his son. "Your gramma and I used to know this guy named Master Man that-well, that's a story for another time." When Emily's attention wandered from him, Bryant waved his arms and started yelling "Aaah! Aaah!" as if worried he was being missed. "That's a stupid name," commented Holly, her pale face darkening into a scowl. "Nobody should be anybody's master." She stuck her tongue out at Will, though, and lost her momentary anger as she scooped up Bryant again. "Come on, baby, what are you doing? Do we need to play 'Mind Games' again?" Bryant did indeed want to play 'Mind Games', and Holly demonstrated what that was by summoning shimmering pink images between her hands for the baby's entertainment. "As for the route, we stick to the roads when it's the better route and we've got the checkpoints, but after that it's all off-road here through the Appalachians and the Deep South." He pointed to east Tennessee and north Mississippi, among other places. "You kids can use the GPS stuff if you want, I only have the tech so the sponsors can stay in touch." He grinned. "Back in the old days, I used to do that whole distance with nothing but a Walkman and a road map."

Citizen closed his hands and then opened them again, scanning the room all the while, an autonomic reflex that let him keep his body busy while his mind worked fast. He thought suddenly of Kimber and her worries, years ago, about the state of his 'soul'. What would she think now, confronted with a Sharl that still carried the memories of another life? He had enough issues with his extradimensional counterpart, the one that was doing his job in both Troniks even now. "Your culture is obviously not baseline Terran," he said, keeping his voice level with an effort. "If you're fugitives, I'm not affiliated with the Star Navy or law enforcement. What are you?" He studied the robot, not detecting any signals coming from it, and tried sending an electronic signal to his counterpart. I woke up in the home system and rebooted into another body. A moment's pause, and then, I'm sorry about what happened to you. What do you remember about what happened?

Citizen is going to try and grab any cars that hit the surface - after all, he has to be a little more physically 'real' than the other characters and so he thinks a sudden stop from him grabbing them would be as bad as hitting the water. Plus, that way he can fight some of the Atlanteans who might be sore about him blowing up their boats! -
So should Sharl be recognizing these people as fellow Lor, or...?

By the edge of the alien sea, Sea Devil crouched for a moment on the rocks directly over the Dark Mother's vast cave, the faint subsonic vibrations of the other Aquaria's breathing echoing upwards through her feet. They'd left the other group behind - and given her time to concentrate on her thoughts. The helmet of her armor peeled backwards, exposing an amphibious face wrinkled with emotion. "In this world, Aquaria Innsmouth is Dark Mother to a tribe of hybrids and cultists - and may yet rule them for more centuries. I would help her build what she has built, even if I should never again see the stars of home. But what happened to Jessie White on this world?" she croaked, looking at Javeen and the others. She looked at Jessie herself and said, "I will not banish you here, away from your sister and your people, if we do not know."

It's not really worth it having odd numbers in your abilities - you're better off putting that PP on Dexterity elsewhere. The math here holds up - but look out for my comments about your Defense below Will save numbers are off - note that a PL 10 character can't have saves more than +15. Not sure what happened here! Skills should be written (skill rank) (skill rank+modifier) - so a character with WIS 14 (+2) and 8 ranks of Notice would write his Notice 8 (+10). OK, this is probably the big problematic area. Needs Water is not a good flaw - your character will be powerless in half his threads and that's not something you'd enjoy. Keep that as a Complication and a good source of HPs. You should move Shield out of the array and buy it separately - you should never put your Defense in your array. You'll need to write out the math for the array powers once you get them squared away - take a look at our sample sheets here. http://www.freedomplaybypost.com/start/sample-characters/ -
Checking before I do it - is there anything going to stop Riley from shooting that rabbit right in the vitals?

Under interrogation, the thugs revealed that they weren't local - they'd actually been hired across the border in Windsor by a recruiter and deployed here without actually seeing their Michigan contact. They were plenty scared, especially when Woodsman made a point of loading his crossbow significantly just behind Mannequin, but eventually it became clear they didn't have much more to say. "We were gonna take them to the Motel 6 and meet up with our guy in the parking lot - that's all I know." Van Raalte was a bit more helpful - once he'd sent Hyperactive back into the house to retrieve his medication - and his wife's! Like many older people, they both had quite a few daily pills. Once they'd had time to calm themselves from the aftereffects of the struggle and the fright, van Raalte said, "They said something about taking us to their boss, but they seemed to know no more than that. Ach, cretinous thugs," he said, attending to his wife. "There there, Gretchen, did you see, that fellow with the knives cut the one who hurt you, that took care of him..."

Woodsman worked his bow and fired, shooting a bolt up past Jann's head connected to a tough bit of line that he used to make the fastest ascent Jann had ever seen from a non-powered human. Woodsman moved up the tree like he'd been born there, heading for branches weak enough that the weight of a large predator like a bear wouldn't hold them, and within seconds had found a sniper's perch adequate to take aim at whatever was approaching them through the brush. He too was silent, the blood rushing in his ears, echoes of other forests and other monsters in his mind, his eyes focused on his coming target with laser-like intensity.

"I've been to Texas a couple of times - not since I was a little older than Thoughtspeed, though. Have to make it back there sometime." Eventually the topic of the conversation turned to routes - a pretty standard Waco-Knoxville-Freedom route through the Appalachians that both Hyperactive and Fast-Forward were familiar with, for various reasons. Richard had brought along an actual paper map of the route, carefully sketched out by marker, while Holly illustrated the same on her tablet for the benefit of the more technically-minded of the group. More technically-minded than Richard, anyway. "Okay, the mountain route isn't the most exciting, but it's got fewer interruptions and it's safer, as long as you can handle heights and some rough terrain. As long as we hit the cameras in Roanoke, Knoxville, and the other cities, the kids back home'll get to see more than just the occasional blur at the finish line. Any questions?"

"Yeah." Woodsman had his bow out now and was moving with intent, crouching low and moving in a zig-zag pattern as he followed the tracks, never quite keeping on a straight path as he wandered back and forth towards their target. Keep moving, keep your distance, don't leave a track yourself that anyone, or anything, coming behind you can use to track you. It had been drilled into Riley's head since before he'd been a teenager. He supposed he should have been a better conversationalist with Jann, but the bird boy didn't seem like he appreciated a lot of chatter either. Images ran through Riley's head as he went - birds chattering in the trees, flocks of ravens and starlings watching the Woodsmen in the Forest Primeval, the Ferals lurking behind it all. He had to stop for a moment, blink hard, then press on. Not too much further now.

"Nope," said Citizen aloud, unconsciously channeling Gina Evans as he often did in these situations. "We're going to stop right here," he said, doing just that, "and you are going to explain to me how you got your hands on the Mark IX," he said, indicating the damaged unit carrying a broken fragment of his consciousness, "and who you are and what you've been doing in this city, or I'm going to go out through that wall-" he said, pointing to the nearest one, one that he was reasonably sure did not have a door behind it, "and come back with the Emerald City authorities. I've got you on a couple of things already - and Archetech West has heard about it too." He'd made sure they knew about the other Citizen, at least. Working on it. Keeping them busy.
