Fast-Forward: Fast-Forward runs down and attacks the Angel of Death - hey, finally he gets to use some of his big damaging spells! We'll call this The Light of Sirius. http://orokos.com/roll/426979 = 21 That does hit the flat-footed Angel of Death! Tou vs 31 http://orokos.com/roll/426980 = 24 I'll make that another Bruise - and take the HP! The Angel of Death is free to act - I'll have it shake that Paralyze without a roll and give Richard the HP. Which is good, because he's going to be targeted by the Angel of Death! Perception Range Move Object Grapple: http://orokos.com/roll/426982 = 60! Sooo with the crit that's 65, all right. Let's say that grapple is for Fast-Forward - fair is fair. The Angel of Death then throws Fast-Forward into the ground. Tou vs 32:9 Well. That's bad! http://orokos.com/roll/426985 That's a 23 with the HP. Fast-Forward is injured and dazed. Renegade is now up.

Rep Table: Gather Information DC 5: Queen of Hearts has quickly become among the most infamous vigilantes in Bedlam City - the cops hate her guts! DC 10: The swashbuckling heroine seems to be actively courting publicity - picking fights in public with notorious criminals, throwing their ill-gotten gains back to the general public, and in particular seeking out fights with Bedlam's many corrupt cops. She doesn't talk like a local - she sounds like she's from Joisey. DC 15: There's no particular pattern to where Queen of Hearts strikes; she pops up whenever there seems to be trouble - or the potential for trouble. Queen of Hearts almost certainly has some sort of superpower, possibly invisibility or teleportation, but nobody's entirely sure what it is. Knowledge (History) DC 20: During the 1960s and 1970s, Clock Queen was one of the most famous supervillains in the world - a glamorous, high-energy thief who was a major part of the Centurion's Rogues' Gallery. Near the end of her career, she was accompanied by her sidekick Tempus Fugitive, who shared her time-controlling powers. She'd be in her 80s now. DC 25: Clock Queen, aka Anna Cline, was busted along with her son Richard (aka Tempus Fugitive) in the early 1980s and subsequently served a twenty-five year sentence in federal prison. At her trial, she confessed to abusing her son and forcing him into a life of crime. DC 30: That story was a lie - Anna made it up to keep her son from doing hard time. She's been living in retirement in south Florida since her release from prison just after the turn of the millennium. Her powers have kept her, if not youthful, then at least younger than she is. Anna Maria Cline was born November 26, 1934 in Bedlam, Wisconsin. She was a Stark Hill girl. Knowledge (Streetwise) DC 10: Queen of Hearts doesn't seem to care much about 'victimless' crime - she doesn't shake down prostitutes or low-level dealers the way a whole lot of Bedlam cops do. DC 15: She really does seem nearly random in her appearances - she's not targeting particular gangs or criminals. She doesn't seem to mind mixing it up with Bedlam's cops - if anything, she may be seeking them out. DC 20: Queen of Hearts has made some unguarded comments suggesting she is probably white under the mask.

Power Description: It's abundantly clear that Queen of Hearts loves what she's doing. Full of acrobatic leaps and kinetic dashes in combat, she's also a non-stop motormouth whose taunts and insults come as fast as her flashing blade. It's notable that she hits harder and takes bigger hits than a normal person really should be able to do - suggesting that she's gaining something from the heavy fencing armor she wears into battle. It's not known exactly how she gets around - she just seems to be there whenever there's a serious crisis in Bedlam these days. [Anna Cline can still comfortably run at 500 MPH - breaking the sound barrier when she exerts herself. When suitably angry, she can cleave through a room of normal people, even cops or soldiers, with her bare hands. She's slowed down - a lot - from the years when she could go toe-to-toe with the Centurion (or the Golden Gargoyle) as she always called him, but in her Queen of Hearts costume she's a serious threat even to powerful metahumans.]
-
Jay coughed, declaring, "You crazy freak! You still collecting your piss?" Garuda took to the air and flew directly over everyone's head, executing a daring acrobatic maneuver that would have been impressive under other circumstances. Riley couldn't see his winged rival through the smoke, but he could hear Jay yelling "I'm on their rear, Next-Gen. We're not gonna let these crazies get away!" He could imagine the other young man out there, flaming sword in his hands, violent intent in his eyes.
-
Garuda flies out the window and readies an action to strike the first person (who is his enemy) who leaves the smoke! http://orokos.com/roll/426631 = 14 Which is probably gonna miss!

Description: Anna Cline has the slim, sculpted build of a mature woman who is close to obsessive about physical fitness. Having spotted her first grey hair in prison, she now dyes her pompadoured hair honey-blonde. She dresses well - maybe a too well, favoring jewelry, rings, and other fancy things. The one concession to practicality (and age) that she makes these days are her shoes. Whenever possible, she wears brightly colored running shoes. She speaks with a cartoonishly-thick Freedom City accent - especially when angry. Note that this description is literally true - Anna's old-style Joisey accent is only really heard these days in cartoons from the Golden Age of animation. Queen of Hearts wears heavily modified fencer's gear - painted blue with four bright red hearts on the chest, and an elaborate belt. Her sword is a basket-hilted broadsword that she wears over her left hip. She's pretty clearly a woman - but age, race, and other details are impossible to make out beneath her full face-guard and thick costume. Sword and armor are both specially reinforced to accommodate the stresses from her super-fast strikes and the hits she takes when fighting at super-speed.

Mark put his hands on his knees, thinking about what he could do about a girl whose language he didn't speak. "I wish I spoke your language," he commented quietly. "I don't know if you speak mine. But I can tell a lot of bad things have brought you to this point. I can help you with some of them later..." He pointed at the girl, magical energy zapping from his fingers in a bolt of purple-black energy, striking Zara in the hair. In the space of a few seconds, her hair rippled and waved like it was in a strong breeze, falling back down on her shoulders in long, lustrous shades of deep raven black. "It's something, anyway," he said with a little shrug. He offered her his hand. "Can I help?" He looked down, glancing momentarily at his phone as he started to buzz. "Huh, we may need to make a little stop off..." - Nina frowned - sensing a trap, but not able to penetrate it. "Stay here," she finally said, putting her scimitar away. "I will return shortly." She left the room and closed the door behind her - glad that she'd bothered to bring the armor with her. When she returned several minutes later, Monsoon was an entirely new figure - blue and gold armor, a gold cape behind her, and sword at her hip. "Wait there," she announced to the room at large, increasingly frustrated by the suspicion that there was someone else there that she couldn't see. "We will all see your Director together - so says MONSOON."

Plot-relevant material! He's also trying to get away from this conversation - it's making him tense!

Sea Devil has none of those things - so she'll just go fishing.

The Freedom League sent a car - after a moment's consideration, Dimitri gave the civilian League employee a sizable 'tip' and took the driver's seat, making sure there was room enough for everyone on board, and privacy for all. He started it up, loaded everyone on board, and headed off down the street towards the Danger mansion. He tilted the rearview mirror so he could watch the others, having put Ace and Talya in the backseat and Erik next to him. He was dead silent for the first several minutes, thoughts processing internally, before he turned to Erik and declared "So! Is pretty awkward, eh, man so young and all these ancient people with their many problems! Would be easier if we were all fighting over which big band leader was the best, eh?" He winked. "Was Glenn Miller, by the way, whatever they tell you!"

August 1, 2016 Port Regal The Cline Residence Waiting had been the hardest part. The cancer, slowly eating away at the elderly Bryant Haliday, occasional moments of lucidity amid pain and fatigue. For the decades they'd spent apart, this last gasp of mortality had swept all the Clines together for the last few months of Bryant Haliday's life. Even Anna Cline, who'd spent fifty years angry at the man who had impregnated her, abandoned her, and then escaped into madness, had reconciled with Bryant at the end. She was with him on the last night, a night when Richard, Paige, and Will were home in bed with their memories. When the house phone rang, Richard and Paige woke up almost simultaneously. Richard rolled over and picked it up, guessing correctly who was on the line - and why she was calling. He reached over and squeezed Paige's hand as he heard his mother's voice - but she felt confusion from him like a backwash of the growing wave of grief, the two emotions mixing together. "He...what? Ma, you're not making sense, what-" He hung up the phone, blinking back sleep, and rolled out of bed for his clothes. "Something happened there, with Bryant. I gotta go."

Tristan stepped out of his apartment - and found another door on the opposite wall. This one was brand-new and unlike the rest in his apartment building, frosted glass and shiny grey metal like a brand-new business's front door. He could just see figures moving on the other side of the door - but stranger still were the words in black paint emblazoned proudly on the glass. "QUIRK'S TOY SHOP - COME IN, TRISTAN." In the corridor, nobody else seemed to see the door - though that was probably because the only people he'd been joined by were a wide-eyed, too-smiling young mother, and the babbling felt baby doll she was carrying down the hallway. - Robert's cab wound up taking him in a slightly different direction than he expected, depositing him at the end of a small cul-de-sac he did not remember as being close to the park. There was only one building on the street, an old toy shop that looked vaguely Victorian in design to his admittedly-not-architecturally-sound sensibilities. The door was frosted glass and shiny grey metal, impossible to see through. Written on the door was QUIRK'S TOY SHOP - COME IN, ROBERT AND CASSIDY. Cassidy had found the toy shop too - people in the neighborhood knew the streets well enough, and a new street just appearing today was a sign that something very strange was going on! - "All right, the staff will take care of the kids." Mark and Nina faced the door in the Consulate - QUIRK'S TOY SHOP - COME IN, MARK AND NINA. "Looks like this is pretty straightforward - Quirk is the one messing around with Freedom City, so he wants us to go in and play his games. It'll be fine, the League deals with him all the time." "He will find that there is no game greater than one played against Monsoon," said Nina, shaking an armored fist at the door. She'd donned the armor of Monsoon, complete with cape and armor, and looked ready for war - despite Mark's cautions that you really did have to play Quirk's games when he showed up. She looked like a conqueror ready to fight instead - and Mark thought she looked absolutely gorgeous.

He can't afford Autofire (an extra) or Accurate (a feat) - that would cost 31 pp and he only gets 20 from his pistols. My advice is to get Attack Specialization (Pistol) as a regular feat and eventually buy Autofire with earned Pp later
-
Fast-Forward will take 20 on his Search (using that Quickness) and thus have 20.

All right, that's good non-traditional thinking! Take an HP for that. We'll say that'll make the Angel of Death flat-footed for the next attack against it. Go ahead and post IC.
