There are running people and trapped civilians, @Nerdzul, excellent time to save the day! Go ahead and post and take an HP for being heroic.

"I have a friend who too shares feline nature," said Owain. "Though she bears only the ears and the tail." He hmmed, then said, "Do you perhaps bear kinship with the people of the Iya Valley, in far Japan?" he called down. "My friend Neko, she looks for people like her own."

"No!" Neko hissed, tail flashing behind her and ears high on her head. She bared her pointed front teeth and shaped her fingers into claws, yellow eyes blazing as she hissed at the wolf-man. "No masters!" She turned and ran for where she'd last seen Owain, head down and on all fours. For his part, Owain gave a yelp of pain like a wounded dog, but didn't fall as he rallied besides Chimera. "Villain!" he called in a voice that shook just a little, not at their tormenter but at that tormentor's invisible master. "Are you afraid to come face us?"

Ashley made a loud enough spluttering noise behind her mask that it was probably for the best she wasn't drinking her sweet tea. "Ji-ill!" There were not a lot of people she let talk to her about sex who hadn't actually seen her naked. "ICE is the US government agency that handles border security, customs, that sort of thing" she explained to Fa'Rua. She'd explained to Fa'Rua about how her father's family had come to the US decades earlier from a war-torn nation called Vietnam. "Since the big threats are handled by AEGIS and other government agencies, ICE attracts a lot of the worst kind of cops." She'd actually known some ICE agents she respected, but she wasn't feeling terribly charitable towards the agency after it had so thoroughly failed to vet Revere. "It's not like that with her," she said, letting Fa'Rua explain how it actually was.- 20 replies

I'll let him take the hit (hey, somebody's gotta get hurt so the bad guys look tough) but take 10 to hit the other minion before he takes the hit.

"No! Listen to me!" The giant seemed to be falling out of character entirely, his crown askew as the snake clamped down on his arm without seeming to do any real damage. "This is a political statement that-" There was a flare of green light off to Leon's left, and then a flash of brilliant radiation exploded from Hiroshima Shadow's fingers to burn along his face. The blast had just missed "Christmas Past", and just barely hit Paper. It was hard to read anything on the face of that cold green radioactive outline. "Pathetic! A crew of weaklings and the only one here with any spunk is a Yankee dog imitating Papercut!" declared Hiroshima Shadow, floating over to the mall's empty food court to actually take a seat and fold its arms irritably.

"I have performed many artistic works for the inhabitants of Rurland; some of them for defense purposes. Many of the holographic security measures around the nation were originally built by me; but we need not talk of such things now. This is a visit about peace and international diplomacy." She smirked, bearing a distinct resemblance to Eira. "As for our local artistic style, we have rejected many of the old artistic modes as outmoded. While we respect the work of our organic ancestors, we need not be shackled by organic artistic tastes," said Kay easily - earning a sharp look from Eira. Sitting opposite each other inside the driverless limo's backseat, the two Uploads stared at each other fixedly for a moment, then a longer one. Just when Davyd was starting to wonder if this would resemble a telepathic argument, he realized that Ping the spider-bot had crawled off Eira and was now scuttling across his leg and onto his chest. When the spider could tell it had his attention, it made a distinct drumming motion with its front limbs, then repeated it - then scuttled further up Davyd's body and directly towards his left ear!

Okay: Does Owain's Takedown Attack let him hit the second minion after taking down the first one? He's got Takedown Attack 2 as the wolf. Diplomacy: 17 If he does need to make the Tou save: Tou: 17 Well neither of those are great! I'll spend the HP to reroll Diplomacy https://orokos.com/roll/928749 31!

That hits! What DC are you inflicting there, @Spacefurry?

"I am double-displaced," said Owain equitably. "We came first to your year 1944, to battle the forces of Saxon madness." He climbed down from the tree himself, then came up behind James and embraced him with an arm around the shoulders. "But James and I here, we were brought together by fate, and are now the best of roommates!" He beamed at Carmen. "There are fine young men at this school, and ladies too! Such a fine idea."

Dad jokes now? What did you bring here? Oh don't be so damned stuffy! You used to like jokes. Eira had rolled her eyes at Davyd's joke, nearly simultaneously with Kay, but she felt obligated to defend him anyway if her friend - former friend - she wasn't sure - was going to be such a fuddy-duddy. "Yes, let's see what you have under the hood," said Eira. "You'll have to be considerably more diplomatic if you want a look at my new internal workings," said Kay smoothly as the doors to the limo came open. She answered Davyd's question with a smirk and said, "I am a member of the leading body," she said, "but we do not rule each other. Talos and his circle lead by popular will, taken instantly. We are the greatest direct democracy in the world." The inside of the car was lushly-appointed with brassy fixtures that looked vaguely steampunk, a touch of humanity in what was otherwise a strange place; and then the car moved forward. "The traffic has increased substantially," said Eira, peering out the window. Ping had crawled from somewhere on her outfit to sit on her shoulder, peering out at the view and flexing its little front limbs. "In both minds and volume. Are you going to answer Davyd's question?" With an air of one making a concession, Kay said, "Talos and our leaders will be available by teleconference as needed. For now, I thought I might show you something of interest, like my new studio." Eira had briefed Davyd on Kay's work as a holographic artist, which had only grown since her settlement in Rurland.

"Aye, I am no raven born, though I do have a bond with the birds. Just they had a bond with Bran the Blessed, you know; and did feed the Prophet Elijah in the wilderness. Behold, my true form. Dyn!" He declared, and with a distinct warping of his outline reshaped himself into a lanky blonde boy with a bowl cut. He had moved into the crook of the tree for his transformation, so did not fall from the tree. "A great many of us come from different times and places," he went on. "I myself hail from the realm of Logres some fifteen hundred years ago. You would know Logres as Camelot," he translated, "but that was but the great castle of the realm, not the realm's name." He said the words as if he had said them many times before. "Where do you hail from?" he inquired.

A succulent, supple young raven landed on a nearby branch and fluttered its wings before giving La Puma Negra a questioning look. The big bird looked quite unafraid to be in the same tree as Carmen, a fearless explained when the creature spoke in a pleasant British accent. "Greetings, fellow student! A chilly day, eh?" Puffing its feathers slightly, the raven added "In some places on this continent, it gets thirty, sometimes forty degrees lower than this and stays that way! Can you believe it?"

On hands and feet, flat on the ground, Neko listened to the power of the place and tried a new tactic, even as she stopped in her running to look back for Owain, who was firmly guarding the hallway. Abruptly, the eerie wailing and terrifying screaming came to an end and was replaced by a hissing, accented voice that seemed to come from everywhere, the noise a cat would make if it could speak and were wrathful. "Fools! This place make you - ash! Begone!" The warning repeated itself, over and over again, echoing through the entire building.

Okay, you are not flat-footed and have time to react to this how you like; even doing something that the bad guys won't notice.
