  1. Okay, Since some things here aren't working out, I'll tag here later with lots of movement, HP, and posts
  2. 26 All right, he is currently bruisedx2.
  3. Okay, it's equipment, so it loses 12 Tou automatically: vs 32 w/Autofire: 13 The nullifiers are all gone. Snare + office: Tou vs 27: Snare around Indira: it takes ten on its Tou save, and so is injured Office: The office walls and such take 10 (with a base Tou of 15) and are injured as well. Snare around office window: Takes ten and is also injured
  4. Wraith had helped design and test some of the security systems Summers had installed in the vents, so she knew exactly what was happening when she slid her way past what had to have been one of the pressure checkpoints and felt the sudden, spreading eruptions of cold along her flanks: packets of ice-nine had erupted in the tube around her, instantly freezing and taking the water vapor in the air with them, fixed points that adhered to her metal skin and pinned her down and to herself as surely as glue would someone less flexible. The gas was new; something opaque and foul that poured from behind her and forward, filling the tunnel and blocking her vision and her smell. There was no risk of the Kinigosi choking, but until she oriented herself there was also no right or left. - Outside, in the now sealed-off office, the remaining teens could hear the faint paffs of exploding packets from inside the vents, and feel and see the sudden rush of cold, black gas pouring from the vent Wraith had just taken outside.
  5. There were two guards at the reactor; armored and armed by the best Freedom City had to offer. When a rampaging Omegadrone appeared at the bottom of the elevator shaft opposite them, with no more warning than the brief shriek of alarms from overhead, there was no time for anything at all. Harrier closed in with his jets roaring behind him and brought his pike forward into one's mid-section, cutting deep through vital arteries, then whipped around and on the backswing impaled the one behind him through the heart with a single shrieking stroke of his blade. With hardly a thought, as the first guard he'd stabbed collapsed, Harrier brought the pike forward and cut off his head. It was a brief moment of shocking carnage, but it was enough to do the job. "They shouldn't have stood in my way," he growled at a nearby security camera before striding through the open door, stuck open by the body of the second guard. From there, he disappeared into the heart of the pocket fission reactor that powered Freedom City's most secure prison, dripping blood as he went like something from a low-grade horror movie that was nonetheless all too real.
  6. Harrier: Move Action: Fly up to the reactor room doors Standard Action: Attack the two guards there. They're PL 7 minions with a Tou of +9 and a Defense of 15. He can power attack for +5 with his pike and hit them without having to roll. +1 DMG added from his autofire. Tou of 35 18, 18 Welp, they're dead now. Lemme post IC and Gabriel will be up. There we go. Take an additional HP, Gabriel and Miss A.
  7. Wander and Bee-Keeper arrived at the crash site first; the emergency rig of Harrier towing Blue Jay, Jill, and Quickstep inside an abandoned compact car not far behind. It was easy enough to find the impact site in downtown Chicago, the crater and rising clouds of smoke were some of the few things moving in the dead and deserted city. The fallen object was nowhere near the Defenders' headquarters in the Loop: rather it lay in a great crater in the heart of Daley Park, having clipped City Hall on the way down. It was not a bomb, or at least not distinctly so: on first glance it was immediately recognizable from its triangular construction and narrow, birdlike posture, even at ground level looking vaguely like a bird of prey seen distantly from below in its lines. This fallen black spaceship was one of the automated Curator ships that had stolen Freedom City right out from under (or rather, over their noses): but now it lay still and dead, without so much as a tremor of movement, beneath the dappled alien sky of the now bright and sunny morning on the Curator's world. "He has no need to draw us out," said Steve in his conference with the others, after they'd all hidden themselves away from the quiet wreck. "If he knew our route this well, and sought to stop us, he would deploy these ships, or his alien slaves. And he has the power to bomb a place like this to rubble. I don't understand what this could mean," he confessed.
  8. Initiative: Star Knight: 14 Myrmidon: 34 Fleur: 19 Tiamat: 15 Star Knight: 14 GK: 8 Myrmidon is up. What do you do at the sight of two Freedom League members fighting each other in a world gone mad?!?
  9. Sage: 35 Wander: 26 Cobalt Templar: 24 Cannonade: 21 Midnight: 20 Edge: 17 Flying Brick: 17 Redbird: 13
  10. To hit the lava? Sure, though that effect has faded somewhat from its initial arrival. (Since it didn't have the duration extra or anything, but the descriptors make sense). I'll call it a DC 20 check to hit the lava, and then a DC 22 Tou save for Kit if she does hit.
  11. We'll call that, oh, a half-dozen people or so killed as Quickstep incinerates most of those watching from windows or doors. The building is now in flames.
  12. As the bee swarm faded, leaving behind unspeakable carnage among the gangsters and bikers on the street, suddenly a gateway opened in the street and a girl stepped out. None of the heroes knew the petite blonde with the young face, who looked the near side of sixteen and small for her age beyond that. But when she laughed, it was a cold, grey laugh like something from the depths of Hell itself. "Judgement day has come and the Fens will pay for their sins! I am the avenging angel of Wrath! Ahahahahah!" And with that, she made a gesture in the air and a gout of fire erupted from the air in front of her and blasted the tenement across the street from the warehouse: it had been too far away to be hit directly by the bee swarm, but the insects had chewed and bitten at the windows, and now the people inside were screaming as insects and fire alike poured their way in to burn and bite and pour down the unholy, murderous wrath of heroes gone mad upon the innocent citizens of Freedom City!
  13. Boo! Don't forget that all the gangsters in the warehouse almost certainly had their flesh eaten off by robotic bees. Quickstep is arriving from the pages of Pale Moonlight now. She will appear (and do SHENANIGANS) at 14 on the initiative count.
  14. "I'm just teaching them who they should be afraid of, you filthy, stinking sack of entropy-ridden meat," said Dorothy with an eerie look of calm on her too-young face, her voice as void of emotion as if she was reciting a laundry list. "And now it looks like it's time for me to go. I'll see you again soon, though," she added coldly before stepping back into a portal behind her, the air rippling as she tore open a wormhole to a far-distant dimension. Warp just had a glimpse of a dirty-looking warehouse and the distinct droning of what sounded like some sort of gigantic mechanical bee before the portal slammed shut again, leaving her on the stage with the murderous, albeit disarmed, Blue Jay.
  15. Ah, but remember, with the HP, that's a _33_, not a 23.
  16. Flying brick punches the wall with all out power attack, inflicts a DC 35 Tou save on the already damaged structure, and starts to bring it down. The whole place requires a combined total of STR 100 to hold up or it will come down on the heroes and the last trickle of civilians at the end of the next round.
  17. The pavement seemed to swarm up like liquefying mud around Erin's feet, trying to snare her and hold her down, but she kept running and pulled her way right out of him. Mark took a page from Trevor and didn't panic, despite his horror as cars around them ran off the road and smashed into each other (albeit at the low speed of a commuter in the city) to avoid the rampaging speedster and the Night Cycle. "I can't hold her when she's moving that fast!" he shouted above the wind, trying to take a page from Trevor and focus on the moment rather than how he felt at the sight of his friend gone insane. "If we want to bring her down, we've got to stop her running!" Meanwhile, down below, the flying goon from the Labyrinth didn't seem to take kindly to being ignored. "You..what!? Listen, pal, I'm the top of the line in genetic engineering! I'm a masterpiece of science! Just because your friend is going crazy is no reason for you to suddenly get all high and mighty! Maybe it's time I cut you down to size, Mr. Giant!" He threw a wild punch at Cobalt Templar that managed to miss the giant by a mile, but did hit the wall next to him, making the entire building rumble as stones began falling from the already damaged ceiling of the battered subway station. "Uh, whoops..."
  18. Edge: Clinging to Trevor on the back of the motorcycle, Edge attempts to grab Wander with his Move Object. Grapple: 39
  19. Just give me a Reflex save vs DC 22 (for a Snare) and assume that you are blinded (yes, even the fancy senses) in the tunnels. DC 20 Survival check to navigate as if sighted.
  20. While that might have taken a few years off Mara's life, she was able to make the following determination:
  21. Have an HP, Fox, as Jill is currently stunned rather than unconscious. And possibly a change of underpants! Give me a DC 25 Knowledge: Technology check.
  22. When the taser hit Jill, her head spun 180 degrees on her neck and she SCREAMED a wordless cry of inhuman rage in Dragonfly's face, mouth gaping wide to expose hungry, gnashing grey teeth and eyes that blazed black and red fire in Mara's direction, sizzling so hot Dragonfly could feel the heat pouring from the twin gouts of flame on her girlfriend's face as if she was welding with a propane torch without a mask on. A moment later, her head whirled back to face the rest of the Interceptors, and she looked at them with the same anger and disgust as before, as if the whole terrifying display of her hellish inner nature had never happened.
