Citizen hissed against the electrical eruption and threw a punch, feeling the sickening sensation of his solidified electrical body striking something not entirely human. "Yeah yeah yeah, I get it, you're fancy with your powers and you think you're some kind of magic electricity ghost, and that means you can boss people around and hunt them like you're some movie monster," he taunted, trying to keep the being focused on him and not on the person she'd been pursuing seconds earlier. "You think you've spent time on the line? I was born there. You want to fight? We can fight!"

"Help the crew evacuate the ship!" called Harrier as he slammed his pike into the fracturing face-plate of the zombiedrone again, trying to crack through to the vulnerable neural material within. How many times have I fought this war? How many times must I free one of my own from the hands of those who would use them for evil?"If the ship does sink, we must not allow any of the crew to be trapped aboard!" Harrier was tense as he returned to the battle, waiting despite himself for the other shoe to drop. He had kept this creature from attacking the crew, but the ship was threatened with sinking, and some secret threat lay behind it all seemingly unknown even to most of the human crew...What's next?

Danson's head rocked backwards against Wail's blow, and everything stopped. Robots large and small fell to pieces all around the heroes, while inside the mainframe Cyberknife saw Danson's defenses shiver to pieces all around her a moment before the officer herself blinked from sight. Even as Cyberknife stepped back into Miss Americana's body, she felt a great rush of power pass through her and by her, and as the others watched electrical sparks in blue and white and red, and then all the colors of the spectrum and beyond, rose from the fallen robot parts to shape themselves into a humanoid mass of vague size and shape. Protectively, Citizen stepped in front of Miss Americana as the figure took stock of itself. It was, Miss A could tell, the trapped intelligence she had liberated from the computer. "Greetings," it said in a neutral, albeit not unfriendly voice, the multi-colored sparks that made up its body casting a bizarrely cheerful, multi-colored light over the small room. "You have liberated me from the prison made for me. I am TOMORROW. For freeing me, you have my thanks, and my apology for disrupting the natural order of your lives. I had intended only to be the genie for Danson as I have been for others among your number, but she proved unwilling to allow my departure."

DC 30 Gather Info + Well-Informed -
Citizen turned a paler shade of blue fire as he took shelter in the water again. He'd briefly contemplated trying to make a rush for the Bauble, but with memories of his fight with Fathom uppermost in his mind, he knew he couldn't make mistakes like that again. Especially not against someone like Argo, operating without his usual emulator! "I'm faster than you in the water right now," he told Corbin, "I'll fly to that restaurant and bring the team back. You stay here, try to stay hidden, and make sure they don't go anywhere. Try and grab the Bauble if one of them drops it," he whispered to Cobalt Templar, a moment before bolting back under the water and 'flying' as fast as he could towards the rest of the team!

Citizen took this opportunity to turn to D-Gray. "Okay, we've got to go deal with this," he told the reanimated rapper. "Don't worry, someone's always trying to blow up something in Freedom City. You stay here and you'll be safe inside the system. This is one of the most secure facilities in Freedom City, you should be fine," he promised him. "If you try and go back into this system, you'll go right into my room. Just don't...you know, mess around in there too much, and you'll be fine." Luckily Lora was in his Claremont system this particular day. He shot a look at Miss A for confirmation as they prepared to go for the Goodman Building, making sure that she wanted D-Gray somewhere safe rather than out in the field.

Reflex vs 19: 10 Tou vs 24: 23 Injured! OK, the joke is wearing thin for Citizen. He'll fly out to the dance floor, right through the walls, as a move action. He'll then stunt the following power off his Tronik Array: Damage 8 (Extras: Autofire, Secondary Effect) [24 pp] This will represent causing a major electrical disruption in the body of the bad monster. 19 OK, that's a DC 23 Tou save + whatever Autofire bonus he gets, this round and next round. Let me know if she makes the initial save, as Sharl is willing to hit her again.

"Miss Americana's personal life is none of my business," said Sharl with an embarrassed half-smile. And that was certainly true, and he didn't even need to fake the embarrassment. After all, it wasn't Miss A and Steve Murdock who were dating, but Gina and Steve, a mental image that was best left in the back of his mind with the other disturbing things he'd contemplated as a superhero. "Anyway, the base stuff is good, and I think we'll do fine wherever we end up. I...actually had another reason for calling you guys together." He shot a look at Koshiro; his roomate hadn't known about this either, but Papercut had been there for the encounter that started it all. "Here, let's use the conference room." The conference room was reasonably high-tech as well, with a new glossy wooden table and wall computer slaved to the main unit for everyone to see, but this room Sharl didn't do much to show off. Instead he waited until everyone was in, fluttering about nervously, before he took a seat at the head of the table. "A couple of months ago, Papercut, Cobalt Templar, Riff, and I, had an encounter with a team from another dimension. On Erde-J-Nazi-1, a government called the National Socialists conquered the world in the 1940s using technology given to them by Superior. Though their rule has been slipping in recent years thanks to heroes from Earth-Prime, they still control much of the planet's population. The people that we met were, well...the versions of us from that dimension." "It was pretty grim. It was very grim, in fact. And I made a promise to the other Sharl. I promised him that we would find a way to save his Tronik." He looked around at his teammates and went on, "The National Socialists have been using them...using them like sentient lab mice with superpowers for years. His sister is dead; half his family is dead. Hell, from what I gathered, his Tronik is a mostly-restructured National Socialist prison. They lost twenty-five million people! We can't just leave them there to be experimented on unto death, with the lucky ones as slaves to the pitiless butchers of their own people!"

Electra and I are going to spend the next week out of town at her sister's wedding: Electra is the matron of honor and Robert is the ringbearer, so it's very important. We'll be on, albeit at a significantly reduced volume.

Bee Good And You Will Bee Lonesome (IC)
Avenger Assembled replied to Avenger Assembled's topic in The Fens
As the battle was joined, two of the giant golems took the occasion to flee the scene! Two of the massive money monoliths turned and ran right out through the bulletproof glass at the front of the bank amid twin explosions of safety glass and shattering noise, leaving behind massive craters as they raced down the street! They were fast, very fast, despite their tremendous bulk, and soon despite the noises of crumbling asphalt and shrieking car alarms they left behind them (as well as the trail of coins and small bills!) they were gone and out of sight. Of course, even with the holes in the wall and absent bad guys, the heroes still had lots to deal with! Another golem threw a massive punch at Fleur de Joie, only the quick action of one of her summoned trees helping her avoid that metal-backed punch, while another concentrated on the bound Bee-Keeper. It might have been Baxter's imagination, but as the nickel-fingered man-mountain tore him free from his flowery bonds with obviously hostile intent, he distinctly heard the eight-foot mighty money monster growling at him like an angry animal! -

Golems 2 + 3 scarper with the loot! They have Speed 5, so they can both run a quarter-mile away as a move action. (They use Total Defense as their standard action, raising their to-hit to DC 19) Golem 4 punches Fleur de Joie! 17 Another miss! That's good for those Interposing plant minions, at least. Golem 5 punches Barry, but the Snare saves first. 20 Not bad! The snare is damaged and disabled. Barry will be able to get out on his turn. He'd better make his case fast, though! -
Papercut's paper airplane took the team to the 15th story of one of the towering Archetech buildings that had fallen into Miss Americana's custody the year before; the skyscraper of science looming over the Hanover neighborhood that held it. The plane landed them all neatly on the rooftop helipad, and one there a quick trip on the elevator took them to the area Miss Americana had actually set aside herself for her sidekick's team. The rooms here certainly were luxurious, and didn't smell of chemicals or have old Cholaxian hair on them either: there was an advanced wall computer and basic, albeit well-equipped, general science lab and workshop for Citizen and anyone else they might recruit with scientific aspirations, what looked like a nice rec room with a big screen TV and couple-year-old game system, a little kitchette, library, and all the other sorts of gear you'd expect to find around a well-furnished teen science hero's place. There was even a small room with bunk beds! There were sensors enough to track through security cameras all over the city, and a communications system that tapped right into the city's cell grid. "The computer's one of the biggest outside of Miss Americana's personal labs. It's got room for me, for Lora, and enough processing power we could maybe hack into the school's computers if we wanted. You can put a cell number in here, or wherever, and people can call your supername and it'll reach you anonymously. It's even armored enough that you'd have to work to mess with it, Kimber." The whole place had a nicely glossy chrome feel, though not quite mirrored enough for the teens to see their reflections as they explored the small complex of rooms. For his part, Citizen seemed to have something on his mind, crossing from corner to corner as he switched off a couple of monitors. "Miss A's real busy today with a...thing, so we shouldn't have to worry about anyone disturbing us while we're here."
