"Mall sounds good," said Mark easily. "I picked up a couple of vouchers the other day for the back to school sales. It's like ten, twenty percent off everything at the Mall." He grinned. "I think I can be inclined to share them with my friends. So what brings you to Claremont?" he asked JJ. "Getting an early start on the new school year, or just checking the place out?" He reached down and slipped his hand easily into Alex's as they walked, giving her a quick, couple-y grin.

"It's a lucky thing we've got both of you on the team," commented Mark as he slid out of the car, shooting a look over at Alex. "Is this familiar to you?" he asked her. "Does your mother go here a lot, or has she ever brought you out to this area?" He glanced up at the church himself. "My grandpa and the Centurion fought the Grinning Ghost here back in the late '40s, but I don't think that has a huge bearing on this case. That was sixty years ago."

I'm assuming the crowbar, as an improvised weapon, adds +2 to Avenger's damage. (and the first attack is a surprise attack) The first attack is a Sneak Attack, though I can understand if the second doesn't qualify. It is already a crit. Tou saves are DC 26 and 31, respectively. Blowing my HP for that surge.

Avenger scooped up a crowbar from a car repair kit as he approached the android, nearly invisible in the darkness of the off-ramp as she approached the android from behind. "Android. Die." And with that she brought the crowbar down on the back of the android's head, the sound of metal shattering breaking the silence of the off-ramp. It had been a tough night for Jack. "Die." he repeated monomaniacally, smashing the crowbar down again as oil spattered his mask.

A black voice ripped from Hell itself sounded two inches behind Geckoman's right ear. "You're new at this, aren't you?" There was a massive figure in black just behind Geckoman when he turned around, ice-blue eyes visible behind a bone-white hockey mask. "Colors are wrong. Why green? Easy to spot." He disappeared at that, but was still there. "Why are you here?"

Mark took Alex's hand as they went, smiling down at her with a happy look on his face. "Will you hold my hand if I get really scared going down?" he asked with a laugh. "I promise I'll make it up to you later," he added with a grin. "We can hit up the glow-in-the-dark cotton candy place. You'd be amazed how much this place changes at night."

I was just walking around that part of campus myself."Hey guys!" came Mark's cheerful voice as he approached behind Jadon and Mike, the lanky teenager having simply strolled up behind them as if he'd had a GPS. "You must be the new guy. It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Mark Lucas." He grinned, shaking the other boy's hand.

"Shall we do this?" suggested Avenger, heading for the fence. "Can be in without tripping alarms. Inspect the grounds on the way. Meet you inside?" He didn't pay much attention to what was on the street; after all, they'd come here for the house, not whatever was around it. "Think I prefer your method of travel to foot. See anything?"
