  1. https://orokos.com/roll/864950 = bound and helpless! Okay, @Nerdzul, you are up. I strongly recommend use of the coup de grace action at this point.
  2. @angrydurf, let's see how you do
  3. Oh, well, if I can do both, she's going to try and get him so mad he'll accelerate without watching his distance from Thorne's car - in other words, to get into melee range of it.
  4. Lady Horus was, as it happened, not exactly bulletproof. Oh she could handle small-arms fire and even rifles, but the sort of fancy-schmancy gear that these speed freaks were carrying was as dangerous to her now as it had been back in the day when the cops had decided to pull out the heavy artillery rather than call in the supers. She threw up her hands in front of her face as the ankh glowed with a flickering solar beam that deflected the bullets like rain off an umbrella. It was one hell of a showy trick and if she'd done ti wrong, it would have gone right through her head. She didn't think she could do it again, not when her muscles were already burning with the strain of channeling divine power and keeping up with this fantastic car chase. Tis what happens when you wear the mantle of a god but are not one thyself came the familiar, as usual unsympathetic voice of Nepthys in her head. She growled and shook her head inside the helm, watching with pleasure as Wadjet popped out of the side window and fired two shots into Hard Bargan's windshield, splattering the bulletproof screen with electric blue paint - by the time he figured out that was all it was, he was already off-balance. "Thou art a boy," she called, and if there was a trace of Jersey powering through the Voice of Horus, well it was her own authentic self coming through, and wasn't that how you were supposed to live these days. "a weak, miserable little penny-ante hooligan, hiding behind toys that make you seem a man with your little no-account friends over there. And you know it, too. Look at you! LOOK AT YOU!" She laughed and declared, "Made you look!" before she suddenly zipped up in the air away from Thorne's car, trusting that Wadjet could handle herself for a moment while she tried to get a glimpse of their target.
  5. Okay, basically zip on HP at this point Standard: Wadjet Aids Lady Horus's next attack on Hard Bargan via her gun: 14 Standard: Lady Horus Taunts Hard Bargain: https://orokos.com/roll/864939 = that's a nat-20 for 35 as a move action, she'll take straight off in the air, as high as she can reasonably get without losing track of the chase.
  6. Don't forget about this, @Kaede Kimura
  7. "Thank you!" croaked Sea Devil. She hopped from where she'd stood alongside her fellow Deep Ones to land next to the young Surfacer. She fixed two big goggle eyes on him, black and gold, and spread her three-fingered hands. "I am so glad you came!" Up close her voice alternated between croak and bellow, a booming sound that must have carried for miles when she chose. This close Nightscale could definitely see her teeth - thick rows of jagged shark's teeth that ran all the way around the inside of her mouth. She was definitely not quite the frog-humanoid she looked. "It is important for us to learn from each other! I have learned about Christmas, and Diwali, and the Kinigosi holiday with the auspicious feasting, so it is important to teach you about all of mine." She squatted down on the sand and declared "Jessie is my best friend." It was hard to judge tone of a creature speaking through a throat as thick around as two human arms but she sounded truly happy. "Her sister lives in a large house with her husband." "I did not go to your school but I have visited there. I wanted them to hear that we are not all their enemies." She fixed her goggle-eyed gaze on the small group of her own people and made a noisy, throbbing sigh before adding, "Oh I found this for you!" She produced from her headpiece a substantial looking chunk of metal, a lump of what might have been wrought iron about the size of a human fist, and handed it to Wraith. "An auspicious gift from the whale's belly. Praise Belopa!" - Meanwhile, an apologetic-looking Mr. Sadler had gotten up to introduce himself to Jessie. He was good-looking in a dad sort of way, his greying hair cut short and his smile perfectly white. "Hello! I'm sorry about the confusion earlier; I didn't even know Erin White had a sister." He offered Jessie his hand and said, "Barry Sadler, AEGIS. That's my son Gray over there," he said with a nod towards a young teenager with spiky blue hair that crackled with tiny sparks of electricity. "Nothing's quite like family, is it? It must be interesting being attached to so many extraordinary people." "Oh geez," Gray muttered too loud for anyone but Nightscale, Wraith, and Sea Devil to hear, shooting a glance over at where his father was talking to Jessie. "Not again..."
  8. @Spacefurryis up
  9. Make whatever rolls you think will be interesting to pierce the illusion.
  10. Justice's powerful blows staggered the creature, flesh cracking like a statue's marble against each punch. "BREAK YOUR BONES AND EAT YOUR FLESH!" it howled again, in a voice like a typhoon as tentacles erupted again and again from its furry body. Without hesitation, Sea Devil sprang into action in support and leaped at the creature even as it whipped a fanged tentacle towards Salvo. With a warrior's bellow, she drove her trident into the opening cracked open by Justice - And then all of a sudden, Aquaria was standing there with her trident through a human being's heart. She croaked in surprise, eyes hidden by her armor, but there was no hiding the naked, dead man impaled simultaneously through heart and lungs, dead as a dolphin. Blood dripped down her trident, thick and hot and too-familiar a scent, as it stained her armored three-fingered hands. The scene around them changed again, warping into the rocky confines of a vast underground cavern as the illusion of Dagon triumphant faded. From the depths of the cave around them, invisible in the dark save for glowing red eyes for those to see, a voice whispered - YOU SEE. SO EASY TO GIVE IN TO YOUR HUNGERS. TO DESTROY. COME. EAT OF HIS FLESH AND TAKE HIS POWER. The very air rang of the unholy power of a false god uncaged, a deafening chorus that seemed to ring through Aquaria's soul. Aquaria staggered back, shaking the body off her prongs, and whirled on her allies, her posture one of desperate defiance. "No...no - I am not going back to prison!"
  11. https://orokos.com/roll/864511 passes the check.... But that still hits! Fort vs 22: https://orokos.com/roll/864512 = 14! Okay, its TOU is down by 8 - to 6. I'll go ahead and say Aquaria's strike takes it out - we're out of _this_ combat!
  12. That hits! And he is deffo flat-footed Tou vs 27: https://orokos.com/roll/864510 He is bruised and dazed, ouch! Okay, @Spacefurry is up
  13. "You've got a big mouth, honey," sneered Knieval. "Choke on this!" He bent down suddenly and grabbed Nightscale by the ankle, picking him up as easily as a discus-thrower grabbing their tool. With a quick flex of his shoulders, he hurled Nightscale directly at Angelic, knocking them both to the ground. On her back and her face flushed a furious crimson, Eira spat out a curse as her teeth clacked against her lips, spitting bluish fluid as she pulled herself back to her feet.
  14. My bad earlier - Justice is up.
  15. Sea Devil stabs him in the foot! https://orokos.com/roll/864375 = 28! Tou vs 27 = https://orokos.com/roll/864376 = 17! Okay, I'll give myself an HP to make that bruised and dazed instead of staggered. Salvo, you're up as soon as I make a GM/IC post.

  17. Tou vs 24 https://orokos.com/roll/864357 = well I'd rather not have that! https://orokos.com/roll/864359 = 24 with the HP reroll.
  18. It was a short version of the traditional ceremony - one rarely performed outside of particularly auspicious seasons. Aquaria would have preferred a longer one but there were significant complications. The remnant of the tribe still here was not so big that they could provide a full chorus of accompaniment from the Four Wise Ones; and the waters were too overhunted by Surfacers to provide a good sacrifice. Jessie and the other Surfacers would probably object to the sacrifice of a dolphin as well, given the odd attachment they had towards the foul beasts. So instead there was just singing and dancing, alternating between the female Deep One and the human woman - Aquaria handling the parts that were a little rich for the throat of a regular human. They sang of Belopa, the aspect of Hydra that nourished Her people and of their gratitude for what She had brought, and how this auspicious season would mean joy and full bellies for the new year. It was only an hour; but as she sang with her best friend, Aquaria knew it would be one of the best of the year. When it was time for the halfway break, the singers came out to enjoy the fried fish and to talk with the spectators, Aquaria resplendent still in her traditional dress and shimmering with oil. She immediately hopped over to talk to the small group of Deep Ones nearby, taking great joy in the looks of fascination from the little ones as she praised Belopa with them, leaving Jessie to fend for herself among her own people. "That's Erin White," said Mr. Sadler confidently, pointing Singularity out to the Claremont students, "she was a little after my time, but ask some of your teachers about her some time. Young Freedom saved the world a bunch of times."
  19. "Well," said Lon companionably, "Ah could take you all up to see the Captain, and he can jump us out to Kraken's ship at the edge of the system. Ah think he'd appreciate knowing what he's caught. It's all right with me if you want to take him down," he added with a not-quite-human smirk on her furred face, "Ah know how you lawful types are when it comes to freebooters like him. Or maybe you all could just fool me with your powers and Ah could sit a spell with my sister here," he added with a nod at Judy. "You are not my brother," said Judy suddenly, fixing her gaze on the alien. "Ah don't...ah don't know what you are, but don't act like you know me because we have something in common." "You're what, sired? Grandsired? Isn't that a treat." Lon smiled again. "Ah didn't even know we'd come out this far. Ah envy you, little sister. You're like one of these baby reptiles, just poking at your shell, about to find out about the big universe beyond-" "The only reason I haven't shot you right now is so we don't frighten those kids over there," said Ashley, her voice cold and hard as ice. "So get out of her face." "All right, all right," said Lon, spreading his clawed hands, a look of great interest in his yellow eyes. "So what's it to be? Who's gonna come see Captain Rex, and who's gonna stay down here where it's safe with the little ones?"
  20. He rolled a 32 - sorry, I had used an old URL

Give me a DC 29 Tou save, ZB.
  24. With all eyes on the struggle around Knievel - who managed to flip Nightscale aside and over a lemonade cart with a judo throw that showed he was more than just talk, Angelic moved quickly. Avoiding the struggle with the musclehead supervillain, she darted forward and grabbed Knieval's discarded bazooka. She gripped it tight, her pink skin bleeding over into silver, and with a shotputter's toss hurled it far away from the melee with the attacking supervillain. "You weak pathetic fool!" she hissed at Knieval. "Swim for it!"
