Mike shrugged his broad shoulders and let out a small sigh, "Yea not exactly how I planned it." he acknowledged but offered a hint of a smile, "And I appreciate the distinct lack of 'I told you so's' for what it's worth." he joked lightly as while perhaps this specific plan hand't been disccused beyond himself and Alex over all, his penchant for 'the simple life' had long been at the heart of disagreements among the friends. Mike made a slight frown at the mention of the poutine as ones relationship with the savory offring was never really the same after it had lived past it's prime in ones mini fridge. "Mark I don't think you can get much further from southern than canada." he pointed out gently because he had aparently slept through the discussion of the Acadian migration in school. At Dancia's suggestion his eyes grew wide, even after Erin and Marks offers it seemed a bit forward and he blinked slowly at her, "Uhm I appreciate the offer," he murmured and cast about to Mark and Erin unsure of how or if he was supposed to point out he was engaged. Yea being raised in a secret government facility did wonders for ones social skills. He finally cleared his throat and fixed his gaze on Erin, "Uhm yea that sounds great." he said perhaps a little too eagerly, "I don't think I need to drag a press circus to my folks house." because of course he was still living with his parents, it of course did not occur to him that the obsesively private Trevor might not be big in favor of that on his doorstep either.

The Fellowship for the Advancement of Humanity AKA; The Fellowship, FAH The Fellowship for the Advancement of Humanity is an organization gaining recent ground online and among youth angry at the status quo. On the surface its is a somewhat shady charitable organization devoted to 'Improving the Human Condition'. It's lite on specifics and heavy on rhetoric however and has a rather fervent base of support in among disaffected suburban youth throughout the west. It blames the problems of the world on authority figures such as 'an uncaring government' and 'Business leaders more interested in profit than parity'. While it falls well short of anything like calls for revolution it stirs the anarchistic tendencies of its followers to bring in plenty of donations with little transparency as to where that money goes beyond 'humanitarian efforts to help those oppressed by authoritarian regimes the world over'. It's followers are vocal but largely unorganized and it's popular online message boards clogged with arguments as to how best to free humanity from the repressive cultural norm of the week. In actuality the fellowship is a front for a violent group of Terminus Enhanced Human Supremacists. They follow a line of thought that those effected by the terminus energies are the next stage of human evolution and that humanity as it stands and it's morals and governments can not continue to exist in the New World Order. They know that eventually Humanity will realize that Enhanced humans are their superiors and that then a war will come. They plan to be on the winning side when that time comes. All of this is a deeply held secret of those at the helm of the fellowship of course and nearly none outside of those few are aware of the groups true goals. At best any normal humans int he organization believe it to be a fine mesh money screen to siphon funding from spoiled and angry college students. It has found itself on a few government watch-lists but only with regard to possible fraud but they are squeaky clean when it comes to payment of fees and taxes and thus is largely ignored. The Fellowship

The Fellowship The group of Terminus Children calling themselves The Fellowship has no public ties to the FAH despite the near identical names. The Humanist orientation of the FAH seems completely at odds with the Fellowships Terminus Baby Supremacist platform and the FAH's general all talk little action approach (rarely even staging protests) is far from the Fellowships attacks on groups and organizations promoting peace with or worse subjugation by humanity of those touched by the terminus. They hold that their power grants them effective sovereignty and that those without are automatically by evolutionary design their subjects to be done with as they please. Needless to say organizations from AEGIS to UNISON and nearly every national government is very interested in this group of terrorists and their actions reflect poorly not only on the already tenuous reputation of other T-Babies as they are occasionally derisively called but to a degree on all of the super powered. Not enough to sway public opinion in any significant way as yet but if a hero or group of heroes is seen as going light on them it would certainly be quite the media frenzy. There is of course more to the Agenda of the Fellowship than even They are aware. The core of the group are empowered by Mutations originating in exposure to Terminus energies. Like most "Terminus Babies" they do not draw their power directly from the Terminus instead having been changed by the energies at a genetic level. The Terminus does however know that which has been touched by its entropy. This is how Omega first came to know Providence and how Omega has influenced the Fellowship to the ends of his grander plans. Even Providence is not aware of the invisible hand guiding the movement in any conscious sense but their purpose still serves the needs of Omega as a world where humanity looks with fear upon its protectors is a world vulnerable to Omega's plans. Should The Fellowships crusade succeed Providence will be the first to be raised into an Anihilist, and the Fellowship his servitors. Providence "Everyone Wants to Save the World." Providence is the Charismatic leader of the Fellowship and the shaper of their Ideology. It is from him that the others have taken up their evolutionary superiority ideals and more importantly it is Providence who has led them to the path of revolt against human authority. Providence's true identity is unknown even to the rest of the fellowship however. Providence has no given name only a serial number. In a dark future those with powers have been subjugated by those without. Any who rise to far above the average are removed from population and interned in government controlled advancement facilities where their talents and abilities can be mined and studied to produce advances for 'normal' humans. Providence was freed by an underground agency fighting against the regime for the equality of 'abnormals' as they were called in his time. In a failed assault on a major abnormal studies facility his cell was wiped out and he was about to be recaptured. In a desperate bid he attempted to overcharge his temporal control powers to get a 'do-over' nearly killing himself in the process and almost burning himself out completely. However his 'do-over' was more than he could have possibly imagined. He had shifted himself far enough back that he could prevent the imprisonment and subjugation of his kind. He is now a man on a mission to ensure that his dark future does not come to pass. At any cost. What Providence does not know is that all of this is a lie. His memories are not his own and the cruel experiments upon himself and others like him were preformed at the hands of Physician Friendly at Omegas express request. In the aftermath of the Terminus Invasions agents of Omega abducted Infants changed by the Terminus intending to create native agents in willing thrall to Omega. The experiment was a failure. But Providence showed such will that Omega took him and personally honed him into the weapon he needed. The other infants if lucky became Proles or Omegadrones. Providence had another destiny put upon him. His escape, the resistance, his near recapture and his 'time Travel' all were a carefully crafted facade. It was Omega all along guiding the lie to create the perfect weapon in his war on Prime. A native hero who would turn on Humanity like Centurion never would. A leader of men who would gather the superpowered to him and use them to ease the way unknowingly for Omegas inevitable return. Providence is no Anihilist, Yet. But he has the life experiences to become one should he gain the power to turn on his own world as the Anihilists must always do. His memories are absolutely real. His experiences were a grand facade but he experienced all of it and none but Omega knows his true purpose. Of course with Omega being so weakened by recent events there is a chance for others to turn Providence away from his path should they manage to discover his secret unknown even to himself. Firestarter "And some just want to see the world burn." Jennifer Holmes is a loosely leashed psychotic little more than an attack dog of the Fellowship but a potent one none the less. She has come to Providence's teachings from a neo anarchist ideology. She doesn't feel strongly about the whole idea of T-baby superiority but she knows she neither likes nor trusts authority and is a big fan of being a sovereign state in and of herself so long as that means she can act on her more outlandish urges with impunity. She however is well aware that she can't stand on her own against the world so she follows orders and keeps most of her darker tendencies in check, for now. Jersey Devil "Devil Boy what have you done?" Anthony Bates has become the monster his parents took him to be at his birth. His mutations from the terminus energies were plain upon his skin at birth from the misshapen limbs to the odd hue hue of his skin to the small buds of horns on his forehead he looked every bit the part of some demonic force born into this world. While the authorities wished to study the infant his parents refused knowing in their zealotry exactly what sort of creature had been born to them and that it must be purified by the light of the their lord and savior. They kept him isolated and pushed more and more extreme exorcism rituals upon the child as he grew. Keeping him locked in a hidden basement room the rest of the time as they prayed for divine intervention. There was nothing divine about the intervention that eventually came to free Anthony. Providence and the fellowship had found out about the odd case through connections in the FAH and came for him not long after his thirteenth birthday. Bates has become Providences most loyal follower as he knows first hand what the humans fear can do to those who are different. Shortcut "Hang on I know a Shortcut." Shortcut, born Lucas Davies, discovered his powers later than most of those touched by the terminus likely due to the concentration required for them to function in a noticeable fashion, thus lived a normal life until his early teens. He's able to open portals to places near and far and has in recent years perfected how to do so in more creative ways than mere transportation. In his youth he used it mainly to shoplift in his poor Lincoln neighborhood before being inducted into the fellowship. Lucas is the least invested in the cause of the fellowship and at first glance the easiest weak point to exploit on the team. He is however absolutely Loyal to Providence and in fact so deeply in love with the charismatic leader as to blur the line to obsession. Providence teases just enough interest to keep Shortcut from feeling spurned yet always craving more with all the skill the master manipulator can muster. Fury "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." Shelly Chou was always little more than a spoiled brat. By the time she reached her teen years her parents had grown from overindulgent to terrified of their little princess. Her temper tantrums had ramped from destructive to dangerous as she and her powers grew. Out of fear that they were somehow responsible and shame of their fear they hid her obviously supernatural powers from neighbors and authorities alike. they lied about deaths in the family, trips, whatever they had to fulfill Shellys wishes to stay home from school or really participate in anything she didn't want too. It all of course couldn't last and went very very wrong when Shelly was the object of a prank by an immature eighth grader at a school dance. She lost it and it took a full MAX squad to restrain her. Several students and chaperones were injured and her parents cut a deal with the state to ensure she couldn't come home. Providence busted her out en route to Blackstone and she has served him since, at least to the degree it serves her purposes her 'shopping' trips are a constant frustration risking blowing their operations but her potent power set is thus far worth it. She's always known she was better and deserved more from the world now with the fellowship she can just take it. Faceless "I'm your man..." Perhaps the only one to know Faceless' true name is Providence. Certainly no one else does. Some of the others mistrust him of course and he's made reference to events that would suggest he is older than the others and most assume he's either a mercenary or just an old fashioned super-villain jumping on the winning team. He is in fact much older but gained his powers in the first terminus incursion. He's done many bad things under many now discarded names and acts as the teams perfect infiltrator his abilities to change his appearance and minor psychic abilities perfectly suited to the task. Providence seems to trust him absolutely but no one is certain why. There seems to be history there but if so it is so deeply hidden as to be nonexistent. Others This is not an exhaustive list of Fellowship members. Any touched by the terminus and enhanced are allowed entry though there is certainly many checks to prevent infiltration. Most have minor powers at best and are used as distractions or only for minor jobs of little import. Likewise these individuals know little of the operations true intents and plans in case of capture. Oddly though even these seemingly expendable members are broken out of whatever holding they are placed in in short order. At least some of the Fellowships claims of fraternity seem to be true. How to Use The Fellowship in Play first and foremost they don't all need to be in a thread where the Fellowship is acting. The fellowship at large holds many more devotees of their philosophy and is not above hiring mercs to fill out on tricky missions. So you can have any one of these folks act as a single threat or as the main threat with minions or lower power villains. They are all about their ideology thus their activities are to that point and purpose. If they are ripping off a back it is due to the bank backing some kind of Tbaby registration legislation not just for money. However the individuals do have their own goals and may have slipped out to cause some general mayhem. They consider themselves above the laws of normal people thus stealing and other crimes are like shopping to a normal person. Providence tries to keep them somewhat in check to avoid costly incarceration and the inevitable breakout that must follow but many are strong willed personalities in their own right. Mix and match the Members to fit the group they are facing. You can also use generic antagonists or even appropriate Oddballs (Plausible T-babies or at least people likely to be mercs or friendly to the cause) or Ecals archetypes as minor members of the Fellowship. Very few know of the tie between the Terrorist Group and the Charitable FAH even within the Fellowship so don't let that slip too easily and even if it does it is likely to be undermined by the FAH and Fellowship before any real proof can be gathered. (They do have a man who can be anyone and a person who can go pretty much anywhere) Providence in particular takes care. He is as currently built high on PP but 'only' PL 15 with caps. Without his devices he drops much further (5 Offensive 10 Defensive) But he has alot of tricks available to him between skills etc. As with any Mastermind type add in appropriate equipment, HQ, or minions at no cost. That can apply as well to most of the other members. The Fellowship through the FAH has alot of access to cash and no compunctions about using it to forward the cause.

Officially recorded as Terminus Energy Mutation Syndrome (TEMS) by AEGIS, ASTRO Labs and the Freedom League, the empowerment of humanity by the energies of the Terminus is more commonly known as Terminus Babies, or T-Babies. It is most common in those exposed to low levels of Terminus Energies while in utero, though higher levels of exposure have been known to have effect upon children and even adults. The precise mechanism of the mutation and subsequent development of supernatural abilities is not well understood though extensive testing has revealed that there is no lingering connection to the Terminus only the mark of its entropic energies upon the cells of the afflicted. Most affected develop powers almost immediatly within a weeks time for most older individuals and at birth for those exposed in utero. History The first recorded incidence of TEMS comes after the 1965 invasion. A pregnant woman abducted by Omegas forces and later freed by the Freedom League gave birth to a disfigured infant with almost demonic features. Initial suspicion fell on deliberate meddling by the forces of hte Terminous and the child and its family was taken into custody by AEGIS for observation. Soon others however were revealed, many looked no different than normal infants but were possesed of powers well beyond thier control. It became Standard procedure for AEGIS to intervene when a confirmed T-Baby was exposed. The energies of hte Terminus brought to bear on Feedom city int he 1965 invasion were weak and localized and some parents hid thier childrens powers until they were older or they left the city. With no solid reason to hold the children even those taken into custody were released by their teens unless they proved a real and present danger to themselves or others. In the interveneing years AEGIS monitored the TEMS afflicted for signs of criminal or worse tendancies and though no statistically significant pattern was established suspicion ran high. Most were of exceptionally low poer able to do little more than produce low level electrical bursts, or glow, or merely whatever advantage may have been granted by physical mutations. The small sample size however meant that those few with significant ability who did go rogue made it all to easy to draw assumptions. By the time the first generation of TEMS afflicted reached adulthood many in the halls of power were uncertain about the posibility of T-Babies hiding amonst the populace or posing as costumed vigilantes. This fervor only fed the fires of the Moore Act and the dark ages of the costumed hero in Freedom City and abroad. With the return of Omega and the sacrifice of Centurion to defeat him in 1993 the concern of consistent and repeated attack by the Terminus was cemented in the public mind. While Freedom once more loved its heroes, those touched by the energy of hte Terminus were met with revulsion and fear. ASTRO labs scientists had managed to isolate a test for TEMS in newborns and all children born in Freedom City who were in utero at the time of the invasion and tested positive were taken into ostensibly protective custody, the net was cast wide though doubtless some slipped through it. Around the world other T-babies were revealed sometimes hailed as new heroes mor often driven from their homes or worse. Those with obvious physical deformities of course had it the worst. In Freedom AEGIS and ASTRO labs set up a secure school for the children of the Terminous as they were ominously labled in internal documentation. While treated well by and large by the scientists and staff the children were sepperated from thier families at a young age. It wasn't until most of them were five or six that legal action on the part of thier parents allowed those deemed low daner to return home though they still attened the special school and had thier travel sharply monitored and curtailed. Finally the School was disbanded by court order when the students neared high school age. Some went on to attend Claremont Academy though most with only minor abilities entered the general population and those with more extreme physical mutations either continued ot attend the ASTRO labs courses or more rarely retreated from public life to be homeschooled or join together for group living in more private settings. Second Generation T-babies are reaching adulthood and concern rises that their aflfiction may continue on to thier children. There was little sign of genetic continuance of TEMS in the first Generation of T-babies however little monitoring of hte rare high powered individuals was conducted. With the greater number of Second Generation TEMS and the higher level of Terminus energies suffising thier tissues it is feared they may be more likely to produce lineages of potent superhumans. AEGIS continues to monitor the registered TEMS afflicted to this day and has plans in place to test offspring though the legal mandate if questionable. Society Views on the Children of the Terminous are nearly universally poor. If nothing else they serve as a stark reminder of the losses incured in the second invasion. Some blame the T-babies for the loss of loved ones or the Centurion, others fear their power or that they may be agents of Omega themselves. High profile super villains that are identified as T-babies or even potential t-babies due to age are held up as examples in media of the dangers the Children of the Terminus pose to humanity even should they not serve Omega directly. An assumption that the corruptive influence of the Terminus will effect the mind and morals of the TEMS afflicted is at the core of many of these fears. If they could be so changed physically are they still human in thier mind and morality? It is an uphill battle for the hearts and minds of the baseline population though one some TEMS children are willing to undertake living openly with not only thier powers but the source of those powers. Terminus Babies are not a protected class under anti-descrimination law, thus policies baring them from employment particularly in sensative areas of civils service as well as in the public sector are widespread. Due to the expense of ASTRO Labs testing the registration master list maintained by AEGIS is used to determine eligibility in most cases or for less secure positions it is often left to affirming that one is not afflicted. If uncovered as having lied or even should the policy change the TEMS individual has no legal recourse for the termination of employment. Understandably this has pushed no small number of the afflicted into crime as survival mechanism only worsening the image of hte T-Babies as a whole. FCPD, AEGIS, Blackstone, and many government services block all registered T-babies from employment as well as requiring affirmation of TEMS free status. The medical community is largely supportive of efforts to normalize TEMS afflicted. They are genetically indistinguishable from Humanity beyond the rare mutation that specifically relates to genetics (most common in those physically altered) and there is no evidence of TEMS spreading even after extended exposure thus it is not treated as a disease. Of course some doctors hold to differing opinions particularly due to the lack of undeerstanding of the actual mechanism behind TEMS. Research into TEMS either to correct negative mmutations or understand the mechanism is a growing field. If fully understood or even duplicated the company who masters the technology will stand to make a fortune creating superhumans. In addition to criminal cartels eager to offer much needed comradeship and financial security to those sufficiently empowered an willing to join their ranks there is a growing market in sales of fluids and tissues from T-babies. There is a thriving black market in such grotesqueries despite peoples reservations about the people themselves. With weak protections on such traffic and low public opinion there is little to be done unfortunately. While initial criems are prosecuted trafficing is unregulated and attempts to change that are blocked both by the scientific comunity still studying the syndrome as well as hate groups. Organizations There are a few organizations that hold particulare relevance to T-babies. They will be described in more detail on thier own pages but in brief they are as follows. Alexadra Albright and AEON: Albright is a very publically out T-Baby and is known to be the hero Psyche. Her organization AEON has a mandate to help integrate T-babies and educate the populace that they are nothign to be feared. The Fellowship: The Fellowship is a brotherhood of T-baby supremacists. They hold that each super powered Terminus Enhanced is a soveriegn power in its own right. Many merely use this as an excuse to ignore the laws of the unenhanced and comit drastic acts of crime and mayhem. Others are true believers and target those how would surpress or imprison the T-babies for elimination.Humans First: Is a virulent Hate group devoted to the idea that T-babies are inherently evil and a real and present threat to humanity. For the Player If you wish to play a T-Baby there are a few things to keep in mind. Most likely any T-baby was in utero ether during the 1965 invasion making the character nearly fifty or during the 1993 invasion putting the character in thier early twenties. If you were part of the second generation you would most likely know the otehrs of your generation as you were all sequestered together. It is of course possible to be a rare individual outside of these restrictions, one could be the child of first gen T-babies, or have developed TEMS late in life due to exposure to Terminus energies from one of the invasions or a T-baby or other hero or villain connected to the Terminus in some fashion. One may also be a rare success in inducing TEMS through experimentation or even accidentally through exposure to TEMS afflicted tissues legitimately aquired or otherwise. The last Terminus invasion (that anyone remembers) was over twenty years ago. Thus many younger heroes and bystanders have less fear and revulsion over T-babies compared to Older heroes who suffered more personal losses or have more fear of the Terminus. This is an easy explanation why a given character of the modern era would not fear or revile the T-babies, likewise even older characters may have been exposed to the good works of a T-baby and support them or just be a tursting enough soul to assume the best of them. This guide is by no means a mandate on any characters opinions of the Children of the Terminus but rather guidelines for the phenomenon in play as it has developed thus far. While society in general may hold little love lost for those with TEMS individuals of course vary wildly.

Huang blinked impassively at the vitriolic response. Being the child of a vampire king and a dimensional supercop didn't win one many friends to start with mistrust was part and parcel. He cocked his head to the side slightly as he waited for her to finish and nodded, "I doubt very much I am the same as any of your other customers." he replied coldly. Raising a brow as he set his shoudlers a hint of a smile graced his youthful features with just a hint of fang on display, "As for knowing the danger I am fully aware fo the dangers, well enough to know that not but fools think magic an easy path to power." he intoned in a rumbling building tone, "If you want an easy path to power get a gun, you'll be endangering innocents in half the time at least." His piece said he turned to return to perusing the books under the assumption her tirade had been her final word on aid in finding the tomes of more arcane lore. He smirked at her shouted response and shook his head, "Hey now hero support is a noble tradition, say it loud say it proud sidekick."

Sandman Power Level: 12 (175/198 PP) Trade-Offs: None Unspent Power Points: 8PP In Brief: Widower trying to fulfill his wifes legacy as ancestral defender of the dreamlands. Residence: Suburban Hanover Base of Operations: Throughout Freedom City Alternate Identity: Dr. Elis Sanford Identity: Secret Birthplace: Freedom City Occupation: Doctor Affiliations: People and/or groups you work with. Family: Mrs. Barbara Breska-Sanford (Wife, Deceased), Shelby Sanford (Daughter, 8), William Sanford (Son, 5), Grace Fellows (Sister) Description: Age: 34 (DoB: June 14th 1981) Apparent Age: 34 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5'11" Weight: 185 Eyes: Blue Hair: Sandy Blonde Elis is a fit man in his mid thirties. He's toned without being bulky and of average height with a calm confidence in his movement. His hair is neatly cut and styled with the simplicity of a busy schedule. He is usually in scrubs or business casual, khakis, button down and tie though on weekends revels in his god given right to sandals with socks and cargo shorts. As sandman he's costumed in a blue and white, a long hooded vest belted at the waist over a bodysuit matched with Cuffed gloved and cavalier boots. His chest is emblazoned with the symbol of a crescent moon. Power Descriptions: His powers manifest as swirling almost luminescent yellow brown sand. At its most basic he forms it into grasping limbs or weapons or fashions walls and cages to entrap his foes or form into illusory living dreamscapes. He may call upon them to swirl about in vortices putting his targets into a deep sleep, sapping their energy or calming a crowd with their somnolent touch. At its more esoteric it serves as a conduit for Sandman to touch on the dreams and nightmares of his friends or foes for aid or to make them deadly real in the mind of the beholder. His form is almost as if built from flowing sand and bullets or fists pass through with little to no effect only for the holes to fill in from the surrounding mystic sands. History: Elis is not a remarkable man. He's a hard worker and clever enough that that work has paid off though none of it came with great ease. He was raised in a firmly middle class household with a single younger sister and grew up with the luck to be spared the greater pains and losses many residents of Freedom suffered throughout the corruption of the Moore years, or the invasions and assorted chaos that followed. He graduated high school near the top of his class and was accepted to FCU in a pre-med program. Though no longer a bigger fish in a small pond led to some growing pains he managed to get through in no small part due to the support of his future wife Barbara. They met in an intro to biology course and her presence pushed him to attend more regularly. Late nights studying together often seemed on the verge of their friendship developing to something more though she seemed to hold back. Elis accepted her reluctance and enjoyed her friendship and what company her busy schedule allowed. In time the friendship blossomed into more and by the time they graduated they were engaged. It is in that relationship that Elis' future would be forged. The Braska family were inheritors of an ancient mandate. Defenders of the waking world from the creeping darkness of nightmare realms, guardians of the vale of sleep, knights of dream. Barbara was their last scion. Elis knew nothing of her grander purpose though he often worried about her odd habits and exceedingly busy schedule throughout their relationship as friends and romantically he allowed her enough space and she managed her dueling responsibilities well enough it never came to a head. As they entered graduate studies (he in med school her in psychology) they got an apartment together, He'd awake at night to find her mysteriously absent, or so deeply asleep he could not wake her as she did battle in the realms of dream or hunted nightmare things crossed into our realm. When he finally asked her about it she could no longer hide her double life from him. Elis worried for her after that, no loving partner would not, but he had come to understand her devotion in time. They were wed shortly after he began his residency and not long thereafter their first child was born. Barbara's vigils as their daughter slept seemed odd but Elis accepted she needed the comfort of watching and she never seemed to tire at the least. In due course another child joined the first, a younger brother his sister adored. All seemed well in their lives. Balancing family and superheroics was never easy but Barbara managed and despite the long hours of his residency Elis was there to support her. Not long after Elis completed his residency and joined the hospital staff as an attending physician it all came crashing down. He returned from a late night call for emergency surgery to find the front door of the house torn off its hinges. Calling 911 he rushed inside, he found her at the top of the stairs the power of her legacy slowly fading, the costume he rarely saw reverting to her nightclothes as he ran to her side. As he tried to staunch the bleeding he cradled her in his arms. She whispered to him of the boogeyman who had come for the children, the scions of her line. She had driven him off but at a great price. She made him promise to protect the children, it wasn't until her last kiss passed the power of the Sands of Sleep to him he understood she meant all of them. She was gone by the time the paramedics arrived. Barbara's loss was hard on Elis, and of course the children though he sheltered them from the worst of the details schoolmates and teachers all knew at least some of it and it has been difficult for them. He keeps upbeat and makes sure they celebrate they life they had with her rather than focusing on her absence. So far it seems to be working. For a time he tried to forget his promise, the legacy of the guardian of dreams had taken his wife from him he was not charitable in thought toward it now. It was nearly a year later before he embraced his role, children gone missing from locked homes, dark figures spotted in the shadows, he could hear his wifes voice telling him to protect the children, so that is what he does. Personality & Motivation: Elis is an affable gentle man with a quick smile and easy demeanor. He doesn't stand out much in a crowd but those that know him usually remember him fondly. A devoted father and skilled doctor he is a very busy man but none the less seems to find time for tidbits of conversation with the coffee cart barista or the nurses on his way in to the hospital. His wife's death has left a certain melancholy to his manner but it is a quiet kind melancholy that he rarely inflicts upon others, and is quick to apologize with a self deprecating jest at his maudlin behavior. Elis' relationship with superheroics is complex. This job cost his wife her life. Something he'll like as not never forgive it, she knew the risks and he knows would have done nothing differently yet still a part of him blames the responsibility laid upon her for her death. On the other hand he respects her sacrifice and her convictions of the importance of this work. He knows as few others do how close the monsters really are in the world and how spread thin its defenders are. When it comes down to it however he made a promise and he intends to keep it. There is a darkness in the world and he will be the light to ward it off. Powers & Tactics: Sandman is first and foremost a guardian of the innocent. Thus he usually opens with seeing to it that bystanders are safe by calming them or erecting barriers to cover their retreat. Once that is achieved he'll move in to engage more directly and will focus on entrapping or disabling his foes. It is a last resort to turn to the crude brutality of attacking more directly, only the most heinous of offenders are treated tot he special horror of being rent asunder by their own worst nightmares, Sandman knows such power must be used sparingly. Complications: Identity: Secret; The mild mannered anesthesiologist is not what most imagine when they think of super heroics, he'd like to keep it that way. Responsibility: Job; He is holding down a day job if not for his lack of need for sleep it would like as not all come crashing down. Responsibility: Parent; Single parent at that. He has two children who he WILL ensure are safe and secure. Code: Sandman hunts the things that go bump in the night, the monsters under the bed and in your closet. Ok so I think I get what you're going for gonna toss up a quick basic idea for you to work off of for your devices. I'd suggest goign for two as that seems to be the idea you have in mind for how the character performs. First the Gravity Staff Device 5 (Extras: , Flaws: Easy to lose, Feats: , Drawbacks: ) [15PP] (Gravtic Staff; Technology, Gravity) [Gravtic Staff] Array 10 (Extras: , Flaws: , Feats: Accurate 3, Alternate Power 2, Drawbacks: ) [25] Base Power: Move Object 10 (Extras: , Flaws: , Feats: , Drawbacks: ) [20pp] (Gravtic Telekinesis)Alternate Power: Blast 10 (Extras: , Flaws: , Feats: , Drawbacks: ) [20pp] (Hurl object)Alternate Power: Strike 10 + Trip 10 (Extras: Linked +0, Flaws: , Feats: , Drawbacks: ) [20pp] (Gravtic Strike)So with this device you only need apply a base attack bonus of +4 and you'll hit your offensive caps when using this device. It gives you; a gravity based telekinetic attack for grabbing throwing etc. A mode to use the Gravtic Telekinesis purely offensively to throw things (though the blast could just as easily be gravtic rays or something); and a fierce attack with gravity manipulated at impact to hit harder and knock the opponant off thier feet. This assumes a strength of 10 since as described the character and the suit are more about agility and infiltration than socking it out. If you wanted higher strength the strike coudl be lowered to compensate with some power feats added in to make up for it. Next would be the suit which with all you want in it is gonna be bigger. Device 9 (Extras: , Flaws: Hard to Lose, Feats: , Drawbacks: ) [36] (Infiltration suit; Tech, Gravity) [Infiltration suit] Immunity (Life Support, Falling Damage) [14] (Enviromental suit, Gravity compensators; Tech, Gravity) [Infiltration suit] Leaping 3 (Extras: , Flaws: , Feats: , Drawbacks: ) [3] (Selective Gravity Manipulation; Tech, Gravity) [Infiltration suit] Super Movement 3 (Wall Crawling 3; Extras: , Flaws: , Feats: , Drawbacks: ) [3] (Gravity Redirection; Tech, Gravity) [Infiltration suit] Super Senses 6 (Infravision, Low-light vision, Visual Tracking 2, Direction sense, Distance sense) [6] (Advanced optics and heuristics; Technology) [Infiltration Suit] Communication 3 (Radio; Extras: , Flaws: , Feats: subtle, Drawbacks: ) [4] [Infiltration Suit] Array 7 (Extras: , Flaws: , Feats: Alternate Power 1, Drawbacks: ) [15] Base Effect: Concealment 6 (All Visual and Auditory Senses;Extras: , Flaws: , Feats: Close Range Selective, Drawbacks: ) [14] (Cloaking field; Technology)Alternate Power: Protection 10 (Extras: Impervious 4, Flaws: , Feats: , Drawbacks: ) [14] (Force Field; Technology) This is assuming no toughness save from constitution if you were to raise con some or get like defensive roll you could drop some of the Protection and add impervious. This also has you undercapped on defense when in stealth mode so for 2-3 more ranks of device you could pull the protection out of the array and have more or less impervious, This might be a really good idea as as written you're likely KO'd if hit in stealth mode. that's bump your suit up to the 11 or 12 range at 44-48PP. As written here you are at 51PP in devices if I didn't mess up the math. 4 Base attack and 4 base Defense (minimums) are going to run 8PP each for 16 spent there minimum. I'd not go much above those to start and keep points free for other areas. Take down is a minion clearing Feat that might not be worth it for a stealthy infiltrator type. Inventor generally requires heavy investment in related feats and knowledges for it to pay off, improved disarm will rarely be useful disarm actions just are not that worthwhile most of the time. Raveled touched on Sneak attack it's probabyl not worth it as he said.

So the things to decide first and foremost at this stage are about how you visualize him in a fight, Primarily ranged, Melee, fast accurate attacks or big power hits, nimble dodging or slugging it out with the benefits of his armor, or some middle ground. That will determine what kinds of trade offs your're trying to aim for and inform what sorts of powers you need to put in the suit. Ironman from the MCU is a good exaple with all the different suits. the hulk buster is deeply trade offed for damage and toughness the standard suit is pretty much no trade offs being a balanced armor vs mobility, but when he uses the chest beam that attack is high damage low accuracy. From what you're describing above I would guess you're looking for even balance or defense and accuracy over toughness and damage but that's just my interpretation. Since you're looking at being fairly device oriented overall I'd recomend for simplicities sake you do two devices. One hard to lose suit with youre defenses, movement powers, and probably super sense stuff; the other a weapon (like the staff) that has his offensive powers arrayed in it. Then there is the question of how potent you want him to be out of the suit. As that is not a common ocurance but does happen. The ultimate power supplement can be very useful in constructing more specific powers than the main book if you have access to it as well. Then it's just a matter of listing out what powers you need and seeing if they fit in your points or if you need to trim some of the less vital stuff for later "upgrades" as he advances.

Huang smiled a bit at the theatrics of the reveal, no child of The Phantom and The Avenger could claim not to be a bit partial to theatrics after all. He looked over the shelves for a long moment and slowly nodded, "That would be one way of putting it." he admitted candidly, "Most are more skeptical of such things." he probed carefully. If she was a fellow practitioner best to find out sooner than later after all. On the other hand this store was run by a creature with at least ties to Avalon so the more run of the mill employees were not unlikely to have passing knowledge of the arcane. "Would you know where such librams might be found? Or is that as yet otuside the baliwick of this establishment?" he queried curiously if somewhat quietly. No telling if his mother was lurking about ensuring he didn't get anything interesting.

Mike blinked at the new arrival in some surprise. Maybe this is what being out and out is like he thought as he took a calming breath, people just walk up to talk about superhero stuff no cloak nor dagger about it. Chris would be outraged. None the less he stood and introduced himself, "Mike Harris, pleasure to meet you," He paused as he didn't catch her name perhaps he should know it already this really wasn't getting off to the right foot. He flashed a smile to Dancia, "That could be considered an achievment." he chuckled, "And if you're alter ego has escaped Marks notice it would be a first." he joked kindly about his ex-roomies, exhaustive, knowledge of all things superheroic.

Ok right off the bat it looks like you're pretyt far under caps, around PL5 caps I think? That's pretty low. In the format you have here it's hard for me to trace down exactly how everything goes together but a single device for the full suit might work better for you as they all seem to be hard to lose devices anyway. It woudl probably be helpful for folks if you tried to write it up in our format here. Makes it a bit easier to read without having ot dig out costs from the book all over and might help you streamline what you want from the character. In general high skill characters like this excel if they have stats to pair with them. For some stats (like Dex) you only need like 4 skills based off it before the stat is more cost effective. Feats to specialze your attacks and defense help allot toward hitting caps as does picking a primary way of fighting (range, melee) and sometimes specific attacks or weapons. I'd recomend starting with trying to put it in our format easier for all of us to feed back on it with that in place and it kinda teaches you a bit about how powers are constructed.

Huang was already deep into the shelves perusing crusty tomes for anything of worth, or better yet danger. Thus far while many of the folios were of fine pedigree and in good condition it was not of hte sort he was searching. Looking to Gretchin with his head tilted slightly to the side he sized her up with an unintentionally preditory gaze. A small smile crept to his lips flashing a hint of the elongated canines he could not retract as she asked her question. He shrugged slightly, "Nothing in particular." he deffered airily, "My reading list is pretty easoteric you probably haven't heard of most of them." he shallenged as much to test the patience of the hipster clerk as because in all liklihood it was true. He did however put down the early edition he'd been examining to face her more fully looking her over eyes lingering on her knuckles for a moment as he whispered under his breath, "Don't we wish."
-
Huang turned to blink at Lynn for a long moment at her apparent confusion then realized his hiccup with timelines. "Uh yea, that's the short version." he agreed this whole distimed thing was alot harder when people looked almost exactly how he remembered them. Stupid immortals stupid unaging faces. Huang sighed as his mother forbade the fun stuff, "I'll stick to necromancy don't worry." he promised. As teens were wont to do he turned back to the books grumbling about the injustice of it all only to glance back at Taylors explanation, "And theres the longer version." he sighed witht he kind of disdain only a sixteen year old could muster for a parent. He stared blankly at her for a long moment, "Don't make it creepy mom." he scolded then vanished down one of the aisles as something caught his attention with the kind of familiarity one would not expect of a first time customer, of course to him he wasn't, which was, complicated.
-
"Yea yea yea." Huang acknowledged with belaboured sigh, "Appologies if I skip the hugging it out." he snipped though from the look away the perceptive could gather he took the words of praise to heart. He poked at a few other thins on the shelves absently and snorted slightly at JJs anouncement, "Yea mini me, as awesome as that would be I don't think Moms gonna be in favor of me taking fifteen years to graduate." he joked lightly and drummed his fingers on the edge of the cart, "I need sunglasses if you're gonna make me do this whole daywalker thing." he pointed out squarely, "Like real sunglasses not nasty gas station sunglasses dad wears to fool no one."
-
"Oh I know it is for point and purpose I just throw up in my mouth a little at that point and purpose." Huang countered smugly and shook his head at her defense of his fathers more extreme opinions on propper skills for a child. "Hey you brought up the sports thing not me." he pointed out with nod and turned to ape perusing the duvets with feigned nonchalance. After waiting what seemed an appropriate amount of time to maintain the illusion of aloof teen with no concern for his parents opinions Huang looked back to Taylor and shrugged, "Yea I guess." he admitted reluctantly, "I wouldn't say the home tutoring is less engaging persay though." he added with a vague frown, just less non-lethal and with less concern his diet was stunting his growth.
-
"Oh so not happening." Huang recoiled from JJ's suggestion, "Little man I know you don't know it yet but sheets with your mom on them is next level creepy alright trust me." he shuddered slightly at the thought and moved down the aisle to peruse the high thread count sheets. "You have been shopping for Dad for too long." he pointed out as she once more went for the black option. He pulled down burgundy and a deep hunter green comparing them side by side before tossing both in the cart with a shrug. "We're lucky they don't make frilly poet shirts in our size mini me." he pointed out, "Or leather pants for that matter." he twitched no one wanted to see a parent no matter how ageless in such a get up. "Sports?" he arched a brow at Taylor and shook his head, "As if I don't manage ot disappoint dad often enough." He smirks, "I didn't exactly inherit his athleticism." just his temperment and diplomatic nature.

Huang had been loitering that requisite distance behind his mother that all teens seemed to master as she approached the bookstore. His disgruntled grumbling at being drug out faded as he saw the displays and book lined shelves and he perked up. Sure most of it was new age nonsense but there was the tell tale tingle of real magic. With a hurried flurry of lanky strides he brushed past his mother to begin perusing the goods. He flashed a quick smile in the proprietors direction and a casual wave, "Hey Lynne." he greeted too excited at new books to remember this Lynne didn't know him yet really, and was off looking at books like a kid in a candy store, "Is that a first edition? Cool." In some ways at least the apple didn't fall far from the tree, "I thought the last copies of these burned in the-" he paused for a moment, "Heh must be misremembering." and he dug his face into the latin text murmuring under his breath.

Huang took a step back from his younger, him, and gave his mother a flatly unimpressed look, "Yea that seems real likely." he replied full of disdain. Which really was fair unless Eldricht was taking a sabatacle ot teach a course the liklihood of a proffessor eclipsing the knowledge available from his mother and the arcane texts and artifacts from the mansion and his own library was slim to none. He however shrugged seeming a little pleased at the prospect of having courses to excel in, or at least show up his peers and perhaps teachers. "At least it'll be better than the mundane courses," he lamented, "What use is early modern lit really? Who needs to know that?" he shook his head in disapproval. He reached into the basket to fish out crayons and replace them with another brand at half againt he price, "Seriously mom you have to start him off on the right foot or it will be all downhill."

Well you probably want to wrap the Concealment, Protection and Leaping all into one device for a protective stealth suit kinda set up. Device as Raveled mentioned is bought in factors of five but between those three powers and playing with trade-offs (For more or less protection) as well as exact number of leaping levels it shouldn't be hard to get it to factors of five. Plus you can toss in a super sense or two if you need ot round out a little to represent internal radio or an advanced optics visor to help with the investigation side of things. The Telekinesis Could be part of the suit or a seperate weapon type device. So if part of the suit you could array Telekinesis with enhanced strength and a blast power all based on gravity manipulation. Or as a seperate weapon device array it as blast, strike, and telekinesis all generated by the gravity scepter or whatever it might be.
