Protectrons body rampaged through the small cluster of Bots defending the enormous machine. In clouds of steam the golden robots fists sent springs and gears flying as it tore asunder the mechanical marauders. The job was done well and Ironclad had a clear path now to the Device. Across the room the Larger steam bots redoubled their efforts to thwart the heroes Arcs of hot electric death flew toward Protectrons body scorching the concrete and melting the metal scaffolding around him as the blasts went wide. In front of Caradoc the enormous robot raised huge bronze fists in the air as arcs of electricity coursed over its body. The malevolent Mechanoid then lunged forward trying to envelop the Hero in an electrifying Bear hug!

That'll drop all the small bots. Best and safest way to disable the device would be to cut the power going to it. Though as that power is drawn from the Plant directly just cutting the power lines could be disastrous. Unless the plants production is drawn down the reactors could start to melt down if the power suddenly has no where to go. Not to mention that live wires with that kinda juice just flopping around is more than a little dangerous. Best way would be to start to shut down the reactors and lower the power input. Other options include damaging the structure enough that it is no longer in proper alinement to build a targeted magnetic field, though that could cause the magnets to rip themselves apart and these are electromagnets several stories high powered by a pair of Nuclear reactors so that's allot of magnetism flinging things around in a relatively small and metal rich environment, or you could try to break the power connection elsewhere like cut the links from a capacitor bank to the magnets, or disabel some part of the aiming system so while it is active it can't be properly aimed. Large Bot 1 Free Action: Switch array to Aura Setting Standard action: Attempt to initiate a grapple with Harrier. Attack to initiate Grapple (1d20+5=15) If that hits, Grapple Check (1d20+33=43) Large Bot #2 Standard action: Ranged attack on Protectrons Body. Attack Roll Lightning generator. (1d20+5=11) Swing and a miss.

"Something Ugly" He replied as he emerged from the portal with a small shudder. Ace leaned against a wall with one hand as he caught his breath, "Well it seems at the least to flee when discovered." he noted with some satisfaction. "On the downside it's invisible and can travel through solid matter almost as if it wasn't there..." his face twisted in distaste as he looked to the wall and pulled his hand from it, "Oh Eww!' He cried, "That is disgusting." he noted as he pulled his hand away and tried to shake the sticky viscous liquid from his hand.

A rare hint of genuine smile crept to Aces features as he saw the old fire perhaps rekindle in Archevilles eyes. He glanced downward as he spoke much quieter now, "Regret is a horrible thing to live with Victor." He paused for a moment with a small tired sigh. "But the greater regret is letting it stop you from doing the right thing." He intoned this lesson he had learned at too high a cost already. "Don't let hindsight's and what if stop you from embracing the good you can do in the future." He brightened and looked Victor in the eyes again. "You need not thank me Victor." He said warmly, "I only try and share that which has been hard learned myself." He stood extending a hand to the doctor, "It's good to have you back."

Caradocs blow rang true deeply scoring the armored plates of the disabled Machine. As the bronze plates parted myriad whirring gears were exposed each moving in impossible precision as the enormous mechanical monstrosity shuddered breaking free of the staggering damage Protectron had inflicted upon it. At the same moment the air was alive with bursts of scorching energy as Ironclads barrage of particle beams felled an advancing flank of smaller bots. Their smoking husks however soon were to be avenged as their fellows leveled arcing lightning projectors toward the armored heroin letting off a blinding flurry of electricity searing towards her. Across the room one mammoth Steam bot leaned over aiming his enormous generator directly at Caradoc sparks flying as it charged up a potent blast before unleashing its fury upon the sword wielding hero in one reckless blast of crackling electricity.

Alright getting this rolling on then. Small bots are going to fire on Ironclad who so Effectively wiped out half their numbers wiped out half their numbers. The Fellowship Tier 2 NPC group Angrydurf
angrydurf replied to angrydurf's topic in Non-Player Characters
Certainly can work. Part of my goal with this is however to create a brotherhood type villain group at isn't just purely evil but more misguided. So Influenced by the Terminus more than willingly serving. I'll work on it some. The key will probably be Providence I'll look at makeing him more in the model of an anihilist. -

Basically. Math is easier that way. -
Jersey Devil PL 10 Tier 2 NPC Angrydurf

HTML? I looked and couldn't see any errors I missed a space I think so I fixed that. Also added the skill mastery to his skills. High Reflex and Fortitude are because he's a beastman style living weapon archetype. Highish will is due to his somewhat torturous childhood/early years and his current zealotry. Basically having been through hell he's come out stronger for it and is a true believer in Providence's ideals. -
added Leap and speed maxes.
-
Dropped to Autofire 1 and added pentrating. Over paying on Autofire and more penetrating than he'll likely ever need but it makes the maths easier so I'll stick with it.

Providence PL 15 Tier 2 NPC Angrydurf
angrydurf replied to angrydurf's topic in Non-Player Characters
Yea missed a bracket up there. Should be fixed now. He certainly could be an Annihilist, most likely unknowing at this point. I tried originally not to tie them into anything from the broader setting so as to not conflict with what has happened thus far (Like Omega being Deadish) But if there is a preference for him to be serving the Terminus knowingly or not that would certainly fit. I'd preffer to have his connection to the terminus be subtle however as part of his characterization is that while a being effectively a "mutant" supremacist megalomaniac he's not on the surface outright evil. Along the lines of Magneto (Minus lame character derailments) or Divas Mal from abberant. At least a somewhat sympathetic character even if his methods and extremism isn't. -
everyone gets a shot at that BTW but to keep things moving I'll go ahead and give you the success information. There is a low hum of the devices capacitors charging up. Soon it'll be ready to activate. It's hard to say as best guess much of it is extraneous bits and bobs but it looks like at its core it is a giant electro magnet of some kind and soon it'll be ready to activate to whatever its creators deranged will may be.

Also Still need the notice checks "DC 15 notice checks If successful DC 20 Knowledge: technology Check."
-
Alright That's good enough to take them out. YOu want to hit 10 and not hit any allies or all 20 and risk hitting your allies?

"You are Doctor Victor Archeville!" Ace exclaimed, "The greatest scientific mind of your generation." He was smiling however as he watched the doctor carefully, "If anyone can build a device to find her, or backtrack where in the Terminus she was sent, It is you Victor." he said confidently with a nod. "You just need set your mind to it, if your mind isn't equal the task..." Ace shrugged, "You at the least should be able to improve it until it is." Ace waved a hand dismissively, Science and magic both received the same kind of response from the ageless hero, they could do things he knew and beyond that he didn't care for the details. Much to his more mystically or scientifically inclined cohorts disappointment. He fixed the Doctor with a firm stare, "I have enough experience in this world to say this much Victor." he confided quietly, "Waiting around and leaving it to others is no way to help anyone."

It's not fleeing into solid rock but it will cross more than one wall in a round and it's not running a straight line it's more like evasive maneuvers. It's trying to lose its pursuers and being able to pass through solid material is an advantage there. It just has to turn before you can TP again and you'll not be able to see where it went at that point you'll lose it.
