Phalanx took each of their hands as he headed for the hole in the wall, "I didn't know how fast your packs could go." he explained with a shrug, "And figured we'd be splitting up to track down Havok but now we gotta catch up with the Doctor." he explained as the Doctors time ran out and he took a final step out and into the sky. *** At the Tower the maintenance men all stopped at the doctors command and looked up at him standing all too still as they watched him silently. As he made the adjustments to verify their organic nature they as one tilted their heads as if in confusion and then bolted for cover as he brought the device to bear revealing them to be disguised HAVOK bots.

Quite. Also ... Well I was about to ask for a knowledge tech check but you can hit the DC without rolling so here you go. Even you would be hard pressed to make the necessary alterations and manufacturing of the midnight mist gun or likely the control module in the time he's had. I'll pop up a post noteing what you see with the enhanced senses.

Mike ducked out to quickly change into his costume eschewing the need for anything warmer given his resistance to extremes. He Smiled to Alex, "You might want to take Mark up on his offer, I don't think your costumes really built for the snow." Mike glanced around at the assorted marvels of the trophy room with no small amount of awe. "Ya need a hand Mark?" he asked, "Whats it look like?" he asked as he looked for signs of the teleporter.

The headmaster arrived at seven on the dot and accepted his messages from his secretary with a smiled "Good morning." before stepping into his office without acknowledging Eddie at all. A few moments later the intercom on Summers assistants desk crackled to life, "Send Mr. Ozan in." When Eddie entered Summers was sitting at his desk face studiously blank, "Have a seat Mr. Ozan and explain what you so urgently need to inform me of." Given the time he had had and his attitude it was likely Summers had a full accounting of events already.

Ace gets a 34 bluff and 27 Notice with skill mastery.

Aces eyes crinkled in a small smile at Elenas commentary, "You may be right." he said with a laugh, "But you forget one thing my dear. I'm Ace Danger." he added with a wink. With a glance to Eli he gave a small nod, "Ladies, this earnest young man is Eli," He introduced with a small smile, "Eli, The lovely Natalya and Elena." he finished with a smile and leaned on toward the young man to whisper, "Yes they are, and Yes I have." then turned with a grin back to the ladies. "Come on I'll introduce you tot he chef." he said and began leading the ladies over to grill. With a broad smile he introduced them, "Colt I'd like you to meet Elena and Natalya." He said with a flourish and turning to the ladies continued, "And this handsome one in the stetson is Colt." He looked over his shoulder as 'Jack' called out to him and turned toward the young swashbuckler, "If you'll excuse me." he said with a small bow and a wink to Elena, 'You know what they say always leave them wanting more.' He thought assuming she was reading his mind. As he arrived at Jacks side he looked from his drink to the most likely suspect to order a single entendre in a shotglass. "Ah so I see our resident goddess has set her sights on you." he said with a smile, "Well you're in for quite the ride. If memory serves that's one of many variations on 'sex on the beach' and slightly less pleasant than sand in uncomfortable places." He said with a laugh, "But to each there own." he added with a wink as he perused the open bar, "You all ave a decent scotch here?"

There were a small series of tapping sounds for a moment before Mr. Summers replied. "YEs I can see why you would wish to put your own spin on these actions Mr. Ozan." He answered in a clipped tone. "I'll be arriving at the office at 7:00 Monday morning. I expect you to be waiting for me then." he commanded and because it was Eddie added, "In the Hall." and with that the line went dead.

Phalanx opened his mouth to argue but the doctor was gone before he was able to make a sound, He beckoned the others over to the hole in the side of the lab, "I can get us there faster than those packs." he said simply and motioned for them to take his hands as he prepared to get them to GBN as quickly as he could, He peered out the hole to the Northeast for sighs of trouble. *** As Doctor Archeville arrived at the GBN building nothing immediately stood out in fact he was about to make his return when he noticed motion near one of the antennas and saw a crew of three workmen doing some kind of maintenance on the antenna feed. As He noticed them they closed and locked the maintenance panel they had been working on and began to pack their tools. There was not however time to confront them before his self imposed time limit ran out.

AW and I are heading to the inlaws for a night. We'll be leaving tomorrow morning and getting back sometime Sunday afternoon/evening.

Mike nodded agreement, "Yea I think I know what you mean." It did seem like the kind of thing to do in costume even if it wasn't exactly the normal hero work. Then again he didn't have much concern with weathering subzero temperatures in costume either. That might be more of an issue for their less hardy friends. "Do we need to get snow gear or can you do that warm weather thing you did for the party?" He turned to ask james.

Toughness VS DC 38 (1d20+23=39) WOO HOO! Hmm Just remembered he's bruised which makes that a 38 but still a pass!
-
The phone rang several times before anyone picked up. Eddie could hear muted sounds of conversation as the Headmasters clipped tone replied, "Summers." As Eddie immediately began to speak. There was a silence for a moment followed by the headmasters answer, "Mr. Ozan. This number is released into staff hands specifically for emergency purposes." came the cold response. "Your preferences notwithstanding I doubt highly that you are calling for such a purpose." He said knowingly.

Toughness saves, DC 30 followed by DC 28 (1d20+18=29, 1d20+18=37) So first one is a bruise second is no effect

Phalanx looked on in shock as Jack of all Blades flew past him to slam into the wall. He winced as the agile hero struggled to clear his head and stand, he was clearly injured but there was little Phalanx could do about that. Whatever the doctor had done seemed to have bought them some time but with more waves of robots rolling in it would only help for so long. "We can't let them pin us down here. I'll try and clear the way." he said with a nod to the others. He slammed his hands together in another titanic crash once more sending a rippling shockwave down the right hall to slam into cyborg and barrier alike with crushing force. He took not a moment to see what his attack had wrought before he flew down the central tunnel to lay into the cyborgs there with reckless abandon laying into the group with all he had to clear the way for the others.

Standard action: Shockwave the group to the right. DC 23 reflex Rank 13 damage (DC 28 failure, DC 21 success) Move: Fly down the hallway straight ahead into the midst of the cyborgs. After some searching through old take out menus and assorted office supplies Eddie uncovered a small black file folio labeled as Emergency Protocols. Within were assorted details for different agencies that would need to be contacted for the various emergencies an institution such as Claremont might face. Tucked into the back in its own pocket was an emergency contact number for the Headmaster. From the area code it looked to be a cellular phone. As he found it Eddie could hear the guards footsteps approaching from down the hall as he returned from his rounds.

JJ swung the cross back up into his hand and let out a quiet, "Oof" at Avengers powerful embrace. He awkwardly patted Avengers back and adjusted the coat dropping the cross back inside his shirt after he was released. He nodded to his mother and smiled with a small shrug for Stesha, "While that particular peril of time travel is fiction the impact of my presence here could have the future demanded, and still demands caution." he said with a conciliatory tone, "When I first arrived I was uncertain of exactly what had happened. I came here to try and find out." he further explained. "Not telling you was to try and keep my impact minimal. If I had known the circumstances better I would have avoided the house entirely."

The guard looked to Eddie with concern trying to gauge the teens sincerity and apparently found it sufficient to help as he was able. "Well I don't know where he is." he said with a sigh, "I can call in to the security head and you can try and convince him to call in the Headmaster." he drummed his fingers on the desk nervously, "But that's about all I can do for ya kid." though his eyes flitted to one of the desk drawers a few times. He looked up at the clock then back to Eddie, "Listen I gotta do my rounds real quick I'll give a you a few minutes to think about it." He said as he stood and adjusted his belt.
-
The security guard jerked upright in his chair and whipped around as Eddie came down the stairs surprise plain on his face. He was obviously new enough to not yet be accustomed to students who could teleport, fly, or walk through walls. "Its the middle of the night kid." he replied with a arched brow, "Even the headmaster isn't that devoted to the job." he added with a small grin. "I can leave a message for his secretary if you like?" he asked as he pulled out the security log book and began noting the incident, "Your name?"

Eddie appears in the darkened hall outside Headmaster Summers office late after the disastrous events of the Junior Prom. There are no signs of the Headmaster or any other staff in the building at this late hour though Eddie can barely make out the sounds of an all night Three Stooges marathon playing on the TV at the security desk downstairs. It seems the seemingly omniscient and ever-present headmaster is in fact actually away for the weekend.

JJ looked over at Jack aghast for a moment then cleared his throat with a small blush, "I realized the Lumins are close family friends and all, but none the less I am not discussing that." he said firmly with a small shake of his head, regardless if was likely to have changed them herself he wasn't about to discuss such things, he wasn't really even comfortable with discussing it with his parents themselves. "If you require further proof I think I may have something that should suffice." he said pointedly eager to move the topic of conversation away from his days of soiling himself. He unzipped the collar of his stolen, or borrowed as you choose to see it, jacket and pulled out a delicate golden cross on a light chain. He dangled it from one clenched fist and it glowed softly with a golden light, flaring slightly with each swing towards Avenger. "A gift before I was born, to keep me safe from the more problematic members of your side of the family." It was a perfect match to the cross Ace had given them for the baby at the shower, simple gold with a small prayer of protection engraved and blessed by an honest to God angel. "So unless you think the holy hosts are in on this hoax." he said with a challenging half smile.

Well Giz your initial response was mostly about your confusion on why JoaB wasn't well liked. Quote listed the team as a rapid response more cutting edge team. Geezer expressed the team more as a breeding ground for heroes. Like in the history of Dynamo or JoaB down the road the Interceptors will be mentioned as the place they came into their own. I just wanted to ensure we're all on the same page with that. It isn't mutually exclusive though I will say that the ref consensus is we don't want an Outsiders Expy. Rapid crisis response is a good thing, the more flexible morality, we're less comfortable with. That said overall there hasn't been much IC representation of that just alot of OOC noise about how the interceptors are the "Darkier and edgier" team.
-
As for humbleness I mean mostly IC. You got some Big Ol Egos on that team. If they are supposed to be the "Still finding footing as heroes" team then some admission that they are not the end all be all would help their IC rep. Just advice if any of them care. I'll say this about combat threads, and this is personal opinion only, They are boring and time consuming. I would much rather run a solid investigative plot-line than a "Villains attack landmark" plot where people speed over and commence with die rolling. But that's a personal opinion and reflects my play/GM style.

No that's a corrosion/disintegrate effect I think. Passing the toughness means you don't lose toughness but still save VS the DC 27 And this is why toughness trade offs are so popular its just too easy to get hit with good rolls regardless of your defense.
