As the shadows enveloped them once more Atlas, Phantom, and Avenger found themselves amidst the dilapidated shell of an abandoned greenback warehouse. Dead Head nor Samedii were anywhere to be seen and the ground beneath their feet began to creak and groan ominously as the fissures from the collapsing cavern began to work their way to the surface. Deep below their feet Samedii Cackled madly at Dead Head, "Always the sentimental fool." he taunted, "Perhaps the spirits will still find you to keep you company in your new tomb now fool." He spat and stepped into the shadows vanishing from sight as the ceiling gave way and tons of rock hurtled down at Dead Head.

Mike chewed his bottom lip a moment as he looked down at blake, "Uhm yea they usually have that all set for when you arrive." he says, "I'm sure you'll get it straightened out if you just check at the front desk." he adds. He looked over as Ashley returned, "welcome back." Mike looked the outfit change over, "Nice look." he replies with a nod. He broke into a grin, "Don't worry about it James gets people thinking their dating when they aren't all the time." he teased.

The beeping built in pitch and tempo to an alarming trill and then went silent as Midnight sent a counter code. The lights on the robots faded and went dark and for a moment all was silent. Phalanx shook off the effects of the neural scramblers and looked around shaking his head in shame. The villain was no where in sight, "Long gone." he said bitterly. He moved to his fellow students and began to help those who had come too to their feet and make sure with his limited ability no one was badly injured. "Everyone ok?"

Its pretty mixed overall. Mostly its stuff you would expect ina pawn shop the only real telling thing is it looks like none of the merchandise is cleaned or even handled regularly. Its hard to imagine how he stays in business since nothing looks like it sells. And yea the obscure is probably better that'll teach me to mess with stuff before I've had my caffiene

Mike watched the exchange between Ashley and Kid with slight bafflement trying to figure out exactly what had gone on there. He hadn't even figured out why she didn't want to take james up on the offer until he mentioned the date and then she ran off to the bathroom. He shrugged to James, "Well you do know all the best restaurants." HE replied with a grin, "Uhm this is Blake, or Kid Cthulu." he introduced the newer boy, "They haven't placed you in a room yet?" he asked curiously.

Ace reeled back stunned at the slap and frowned slightly at Jack, "Well that's good to know I suppose." he said rubbing his sore jaw. He glanced to Edge and then back to Jack, "So who's up for kicking some Nazi tail?" he asked with a broad grin. Ace looked back to Jack and chewed his bottom lip consideringly, "The hand thing should clear up before too long." he said as if it was a cold or indigestion and not an Evil Nazi possessed appendage

Mike nodded greeting to James as he walked up, "Hey James this is Ashley." he gestured to the girl at his side, "She's a new student." He smiled to Ashley, "James is a friend of mine, and a student here too." Clarifying since there had been the confusion earlier. He glances back to James, "I was just showing her up to Summers office so she can get everything settled here." he explains to his well dressed teammate.

Ok so there are four bots no check needed to guess that they are counting down to a big boom noise. 1 is next to the other bots that were destroyed if it blows it'll destroy some valuable evidence that might be used to track him down. 1 is amongst the unconscious students who will be injured int eh blast for certain. 1 is near the workspace of the Lab where it will destroy whats left of the research and make it almost impossible to tell exactly what was stolen. 1 is by the door, it might cause significant structural damage there and would definitely hurt any security arriving on scene, but might do almost nothing depends how sturdy the building is and what response time is like for security. Since this thread and its investigative partner both had significant drop out I'm considering melding them in at the end here if all involved are interested.

As the heroes stood by trying to shake off their injuries, one of the students manages to shake off the effects of the robots initial attack and came to her feet with deep scowl, "You have picked the wrong person to mess with!" she shouted and flung one hand out towards a cluster of the bots. Sparks erupted from their joints as they collapsed under her invisible assault. The malevolent mechanoids that remained seemed to finish their looting and stolen booty clutched in their robotic limbs they flung themselves out of the hole in the wall and took flight streaking away from the scene of the crime. Four remained and spread out to avoid being taken in a single assault and opened fire upon Phalanx, their particle beams now replaced by a strange blue white arc of energy that left the invulnerable youth twitching and nearly rendered him unconscious as they scrambled his synapses. Phalanx was driven to his knees under the assault and for a moment thought he was going to pass out. He tries to regain his feet but his limbs won't obey his commands and he watches on in quiet horror as the villains begin to make their escape. Havok hovers for a moment as his minions make their getaway grinning beneath his helmet at how well his plan had gone off. His laugh was carried tot he heroes by his suits speakers as he taunted, "Foolish heroes you truly thought you could stand against MY GENIUS?!?" he raised his arms dramatically, "You are nothing before the brilliance of HAVOK." He cackled manically as his remaining minions collapsed around the room eyes blinking ominously in time with a slowly accelerating beeping.

Alright then. Student: Wakes up and stands as a move action. Standard action to fry 5 of the bots with her mind as a power stunt she is now fatigued. Gossamer: Stunned and out of HP Havok Bots: The 5 that have been gathering stuff seem to finish up and fly out of the hole in the wall. 4 spread out to avoid take down from Phalanx and will switch settings on their blasters to stun: Attacks on phalanx (1d20+10=29, 1d20+10=14, 1d20+10=18, 1d20+10=18) three hits DC 20 will saves. Phalanx saves: Will saves VS stun (1d20+9=19, 1d20+9=10, 1d20+9=14) Dazed, KO'd, stunned. Reroll second one: min of 11 is an autopass so final result is dazed and stunned. Phalanx: Stunned and out of HP Havok: Free action: Activate something. Also brief monologue about how inevitable your defeat was. Full round action: Fly away as double move. Round 4 25 Havok - Sickened 17 Midnight - 1HP - Bruised x2 14 Awoken Student - Fatigued 12 Gossamer - 1HP - bruised x4 6 Havok Bots - 5 fled all others down 4 Beeping and blinking ominously. 5 Phalanx - 1HP - Bruised Stunned (DC 20 Will to recover on init 6) Midnight is up

Ace lounged casually, one hip resting on one of the unoccupied tables, as he listened to Dark Stars explanation. His gaze flicked to Taylor, "Well it makes sens he would wish to neutralize Phantom. She did prove to be a significant threat once the battle was joined." he mused. He paused knowing it was asking much of Dark Star at this juncture, "And the other? He is gone then?" hoping that whatever connection the two shared would be able to answer that question.

thats a stunned and Bruised result for Midnight assuming he doesn't re-roll. Gossamer is Up but stunned and out of HP. I'll get to the NPCs tonight and assume Midnights taking the stun if he doesn't reroll by then.

Mike blinks in confusion for a moment and blushes at the thought of mixed dorms. "Ah its all single gender dorms." He coughs. "No boys in the girls dorm after sundown and vice versa." he continues to explain. "But all the common areas are mixed of course." Mike sighed 'yea of course they are...idiot.' he thought to himself lamenting his utter lack of social grace as he walked her to the elevator to go up to the floor where summers office was.

Mike shook his head in disbelief at his own faux pas. There was a reason he didn't usually do the talking, he was bad at it oh well hopefully he didn't make to bad a first impression, "Oh yea sorry, I'm Mike." he replied as they started up the stairs to the admin building, "So you gonna be staying on campus?" he asks casually holding the door for her and following once she steps through.

Mikes steps stuttered for a moment at the questions but he recovered, "Ah not really no." He replied, "There are a few with more obvious differences but most look normal as you or I ... er you." he explains awkwardly. Clearly she knew about the powers thing already so he was comfortable discussing that part with her, and though his height was certainly on the high side of normal his six foot six frame wasn't beyond the range of normalcy he realized he may have been the reason for the question.

Doh! I totally meant to post this yesterday when I made the reply. The store front looks to be a low grade pawnshop and given the layer of dust on most things not a very successful one. The back room visually is much the same but if possible even more cluttered. There is on spot on the floor conspicuous due to its lack of detritus likely due to some concealed door or something similar. When he flicked the switch there was the high pitched whine that could be some kind of white noise generator though the Doctor knows those are of dubious utility to actually keep conversations private. However any device that transmits or receives is cut off from its signal. (Nullify 14; Communication effects technological only) So no bars on cell phones and Docs comlink effect in the Electromagnetic screwdriver goes dead. The Doc knows that that's some pretty potent tech of course.

He glanced towards the administrative building and thought better of trying to give directions to Summers office, not so much because it was difficult as he was not so good with directions. "Summers is probably in his office." HE said warmly, "Come on I'll show ya." he said and turned towards the administration building to show her the way. As they went he glanced over his shoulder, "So you gonna be a student?" he inquired curiously. He assumed she was but who knew he was sure Summers met with lots of other people too.
