Ace smiled wide as the pod split to spill forth its precious, if nude, product. He shot Taylor his best 'who me?' look before he spoke. "Well I will say as the voice of experience that that is definitely one of the better things to come back too." he says with a smart nod to stesha and Derrick. "And as a bonus you came back as you not ... otherwise." He added finally voicing his concern.

Mike looks up from scribbling in his notebook from his perch on a low wall around one of the planters near the quad as he notices the lost seeming girl. He hops off his perch standing to his full sometimes imposing height closing the book and heads her direction with a friendly smile, "Hi there." he says warmly, "You new?" he inquires remembering the awkwardness of his first day and he had come with people he already knew to one extent or another.

The Finn grinned up at the doctor, "Ah yea, I thought I recognized you." He said with a shrug, "Bucha can't be too careful ya know?" He added his beady eyes flicking to Randy. He slid out from behind the counter and made his way tot he door where he flipped the open sign and locked the door before pointing back to the back room, "Why don't we retire to more comfortable quarters." He said with a slimy grin as he made his way to the back. After Randy and the Doctor followed he flipped a switch on the wall and a high pitched hum filled the room. The Finn took a seat behind a slovenly desk stacked high with the detritus of many days fast food lunch. "So what in particular are you wanting to know doc?" His eyes flitted to Randy, "Who's dime we on here, Randy?" he gestured to a pair of filthy chairs of dubious stability that sat before the desk.

I'm pretty sure mental quickness doesn't apply to gather info since its an interaction skill and if you're moving at 500 speed people cant keep up.

For clarification Sneak attack counts against you caps at all times even when you don't meet the requirements for it. thus when not able to Sneak attack you will be effectively 2 below PL cap. You can use power attack on a sneak attack but you don't in general activate sneak attack so much as you get its bonus when you meet the requirements (You're opponent being denied their dodge bonus to defense).
-
Geezer pretty much summed it up. If you're under caps 1 rank of sneak attack is quite efficient for a character with good stealth or bluff.

The bots were thrown into disarray by the massive blast of air. They worked their way to their feet once more and as one opened fire upon the heroes blasts of laser fire filling the air once more. Phalanx offers what cove he can but as the lasers score powerful blasts across his nigh impervious skin he staggers for a moment and a few slip past to score hits on Gossamer as well. Shaking off the effects of the many blasts Phalanx turns and takes the fight now to the malicious mechanical menaces. He slams into a cluster of the automatons grabbing one robot and laying about himself with it in reckless abandon bashing the havoc bots in his reach to pieces. Still recovering from the effects of midnights assault Havok lashes out with his blades once more the chainsaws biting deeply into the young dark avengers armor. He frees himself from the inky cloud cursing the meddling hero, "You'll pay for that!" he screams as he tries to refocus his attention to take in the battle as a whole once more.

Well that hits a +0 defense so their defense before being knocked prone would have had to have been +4 for that to hit now.

Assumeing its a loaded freighter for weight I need to get more lifting strength. If the 90 I get from full SS in the dynamic array isn't enough to move it to safety I'll power stunt my enhanced strength 28 to Superstrength 14 and set the paragon array to 5SS and 4 flight(5 total) thats 12+70Power stunt SS+25Paragon array+5SS=110 which would make it a light load that I can fly full speed with.

As soon as the giant bug staggered and fell Phalanx rocketed down the bridge towards the titanic creature in the center of the bridge. As the creature began to fall and chaos broke out he shifted course and sped towards the endangered boat. Splashing against the murky surface he sluiced through the water and came up beneath the ship. Setting his back to the keel he heaved it up out of the water and towards the relative safety of the shore.

So did that take care of the bridge? Is there still stuff falling towards the ship or are we just in like clean up mode now?

The Finn nods and shoots Archeville a too wide smile, "Ah a man of discriminating tastes. Excellent." he said too smoothly. Focusing on the good doctor more fully he inquires, "And what kind of quality goods may you be looking for today mister ...?" despite the cluttered store and greasy demeanor there was teh light of a keen in feral intelect behind the fences eyes.

Ace stood dusting his hands, "He's given all his meager knowledge." He said dismissively, "Send him back his welcome on his home plane as a failure will be worse than anything we'll do." He turned and beckoned Archeville over with a glance to Dark Star, "You can take care of sending him home?" He asked he was fairly certain it was within the cosmic heroes abilities but wanted to be sure. Turning back to the good doctor he inquired, "What can you tell me of the device?" He said gesturing at the strange machine they had attempted to steal. After a pause he added, "That won't go completely over my head that is."

Yup so that's just a bruise

You can spend an HP to reroll one of the saves (I suggest the second that is worse) so go ahead and post the reroll when you get a chance.

the clue! The bots have moved directly and with purpose to what they want not searching at all. Its like they or thier master knew exactly wheer everything would be.
-
Yes DC 20 spot for a clue related to what they are doing.

They pulled up in front of a dingy store-front, the dirty windows barred and glinting with aging neon proclaiming "Quality Goods." As they entered a chime sounded and the proprietor came forward through a curtained door behind the counter to look to the pair with a crooked grin. The Finn was not an attractive man by any standards, his slightly pinched face and receding hairline lending an appearance of having been designed in a wind tunnel not helped by the open collar and assortment of gold plated chains around his neck like some mardi gras reveler gone horribly horribly wrong. Randy knew him to be on the forefront of fencing high tech goods. A delicate game he played keeping him out from under the thumb of the established mobs and cartels. If he wasn't moving product he knew who was and often where, though he'd been just as baffled by the robberies as Randy when they had last spoke. One of the Finns more endearing characteristics, at least for their current project, was a willingness to sell just about anything for the right price. With the Doctors bankroll they just might manage to jog the canny fences memory for something useful. The weaselly man flashed a too wide smile full of nicotine stained teeth their direction and welcomed them, "Randy, its been too long." He astutely eyed the Doctor with a feral intellect far exceeding his seemingly meager surroundings, "And you brought a customer. How can I help you sir?" the flash of recognition had been quickly stifled but he certainly knew exactly who was in his shop.

A clump of the robotic malefactors breaks off from the main group and begins ransacking the lab rooting through prototypes and grabbing components, one begins to interface with the lab mainframe. The remaining malicious minions raise their fist in the direction of Phalanx and Gossamer unleashing a withering barrage of laser beams. The energy beams light up the lab in busts of red and the air fills with the smell of ozone. Phalanx seems invulnerable to the barrage and offers what cover he can to the magnificently coiffed heroine at his side but despite these efforts a handful of well aimed shots manage to slam into Gossamers' armored nanosuit. Phalanx turns to the menacing automatons and unleashes torrential wind from his lungs sending papers flying and loose dust and rubble into the air once more. The force of breath knocking the bots from their feet and scattering them around the lab barely stirring the heavy cloud of darkness where Midnight II faces off against the master of the machines. Within the cloud out of sight of the other heroes Midnight sees twin chainsaw blades spring from casings on the back of the villains gauntlets. With a maniacal laugh from the faceless mask the saws roar to life deadly blades tearing the air. "How kind of you to hide your demise from your cohorts. I'm sure they would not wish to see this." He taunts and cuts a vicious slash across midnights chest, the spinning blades slicing through armor and flesh with equal ease.
