Its under discussion in the Ref forum for clarification but Penetrates concealment isn't stopped by anything by default (Though x-Ray vision described later is stopped by certain materials of the players choice hence the discussion) So Phalanx (Maybe) Should be able to see through them. Though once we iron out how it works his vision will probably be stopped by lead just trying to figure out if I get points for the drawback or not. If its just a plot strike that you don't want me to find the bad guys so easy for an HP that works too. I'm trying to get it resolved in the ref forum as quickly as possible.

You all met at the Lab hence why the Havok bots were able to infiltrate the field trip. The smoke/dust gives cover long enough for anyone who needs to to get changed into their alter ego. If you have a secret ID and didn't bring your Hero Gear you get an HP for the setback. DC 15 Notice check to see that the Havok Bots tasered the other students in the blast no one is seriously injured. Notice Phalanx (1d20+5=18) Lets get initiatives going Havok Initiative (1d20+6=25) Havok Bots Initiative (1d20+3=6) Phalanx Initiative (1d20=5)

Hands of course immediately shot up, with questions about what they would be seeing and what she was working on etc. Mike continued to hang in the back as they moved through the beginnings of the tour. The items shown were certainly very interesting but the questions, answers and explanations were all way over his head. They had reached a lab where the technicians were testing a new emergency broadcast system that would hopefully aid with future evacuations as it could sound to many media platforms, from television and radio to many wireless devices like laptops and even cell phones at once without needing special channels to be reserved for the assorted media or any modification of existing devices. Mike looked on with interest as the researchers triggered the system on a low powered transmitter causing all the students phones to ring with a 'Welcome to ASTRO labs' message flashing across the screen in bright colors to the students great amusement. The moment was shattered however as the outer wall of the lab exploded inward filling the room with dust and debris. Mike threw himself in front of Trevor as a large chunk of reinforced concrete sped toward him only to pulverize against the invulnerable teens side. Trevor probably could have gotten out of the way of course but Mike had yet to see the new student in action and knew it a safe assumption that he was better at taking hits than most others he ran into. With a twist he pulled aside his tattered civies to reveal his Phalanx uniform beneath and turned toward the source of the explosion. As the dust cleared a suit of gleaming black and vibrant florescent blue hovered in the newly created entrance the faceless mask coolly surveying the damage. Several of the other students were downed by the blast though many hadn't a mark on them. Then those who remained standing flickered with a blue light the holographic projectors shutting down to reveal humanoid robots of similar though more lightly armed design to the obvious leader hovering impassively nearby.

Phalanx kept himself between the speedster and Jack of All Blades and delayed just long enough that he was unable to get to Stellar in time to stop him and slammer from escaping. As they vanished he looked to the other heroes and seeing that those nearby seemed not badly injured let out a sigh of relief. He turned to the building in question and willed his sight to pierce the walls as he began to look for knieval and whatever trap the villain likely had laid for them. "I'll try and find Knieval." He explained as he gazed through the walls.

Mike shrugged, "I dunno, definitely feels weird." He said as he huffed along. He had to keep remembering to push and touch things full force now to open doors or pick up a tray and it was definitely taking some getting used to. He wasn't really as bad off as some as he rarely used his powers at all until relatively recently but he had never been without them entirely and was confused by the strain his body was under from normal tasks now.

Mike was lounging in the common room when they came in and popped to his feet with a smile, "Hey Erin how goes?" He glanced to the new student and extended a hand to him, "Hi Mike Harris, You new here?" He smiled in a friendly manner as he spoke and his grip had a gentleness that belied his rather towering size.

I think Quote is handling the IC right now. Stellar is staggered and five miles up ;)

Ace sighed and glanced at Jack seriously. "Look I'm sorry, it was a calculated risk, and time was of the essence. If it really concerns you I'll help you out with a little subterfuge when this is all done." He didn't get why people obsessed over this whole secret ID thing all it ever seemed to do is leave your family surprised when the villains barged down the door to take you hostage rather than prepared. But the man had help him out so he'd help him out. Ace looked back to the plot of soil showing slight nervousness for the first time. He had no doubts she'd be back but these things were unpredictable she might not be back exactly as she was before.

Mike sped past the somewhat confused man as he stepped up onto the curb and slowed as he stepped through the door into the deli. He glanced up at the board and ordered his double roast beef before relaying the other requests to the gangly youth behind the counter. Sandwiches in hand he smiled to the man behind him in line and turned to exit the shop jogging around the corner before accelerating back to full speed as he headed back to the school.

Ace smiled at the youth, "Sadly no it got scavenged for parts ... a few months back when my manor was under attack." The events were growing more hazy as time went on. Ace grinned and shrugged as he took a step towards jack warily, "I'm betting the store house is under that factory we were checking out though." He explained as he stepped in to help jack with his wayward hand, "Jack concentrate, this is your body you can keep it under control."

Phalanx frowned, "Well I can't show it to you but I can at least get us the layout and where everyone is." He said as he began to peer intently at the bank, "If its like all the movies they'll have herded everyone into one area and maybe we can get in to a different spot and surprise them." He continued to explain as he looked through the walls of the bank passing on his best description of the interior as he did so.

Ace managed, barely, not to boggle at Dark Stars words. Indeed in thunders home dimension Dark Star was likely quite willing to do such things it might just work. He shook his head and stood, "I don't think they even tell him whats actually going on, just muscle the people in charge use for disposable grunt work." He looked to Dark Star and Archeville each in turn, "I got no use for him do what you want with him." and turned to wander away seemingly done with his interrogation, but he kept his ears open for any sign of Thunder cracking to give more information, maybe the appeal to vanity would loosen his tongue.

Samediis eyes went wide as atlas flexed and tossed off the bonds so easily and left completely unprepared for the thunderous blast of Atlas's attack. The voodoo villain rocked back on his heels and slumped against the wall behind him as the shadows propped him up and infused him with renewed vigor. The walls and ceiling and supports fared little better. Chunks of stone began to tumble from the ceiling and cracks spider-webbed outward as the shock wave slammed into the sides of the cavern.

Phalanx didn't even watch as the telekinetic flew through the air. He wasn't going to be back anytime soon. With a grimace he turned to survey the battle below. As Jack of all Blades flaming sword slashed at the hulking enemy he descended at speed slamming his shoulder full force into the dazed villain hoping to put him down for the count.

Mike nodded agreement, "We have to at least try. If it doesn't work we just try to keep the damage minimal I guess but we can't just cop out because its hard and unlikely to work." He frowned slightly at that, "I mean like their our friends right so we have too." He was suddenly very glad he didn't have to do the actual talking as he seemed to really be flummoxing it up he squeezed Alex's hand and looked to her for reassurance.

Mike had just moved aside his bag to make more room for Darien when the alert poured out of his communicator. He came to his feet in a flash and in a blur his civies were replaced but the blue and gold of his Phalanx costume. Subtlety regarding his secret ID was not something he had mastered yet. He looked to Breakdown and Quark, "I can carry Edge and Seraph easily do you guys need a lift?"

Well VP's (Other than empowerment) are not effects others to start with and its pretty rare to have extremely disparate descriptors on a single character.

The good Doktor was not having much luck finding out more information about the thefts, criminals were a rather closed mouth lot and while he had been able to pay off a few contacts most knew nothing he hadn't already learned. Certainly no further leads as to where the goods may have gotten. He did manage a small break when he learned that a sometimes small time thug and full time cabbie had been asking around about some of the same things. The drunk at the bar was happy to point out the cab as it sat parked next to a street vendor in exchange for a enough cash to keep him well pickled for the next few days.

Ace still had alot of friends over at AEGIS even if he was officially somewhat on the outs after Cairo. Thus he had gotten word early that he was to be called in though details as to the specifics were not nearly so forthcoming. He gathered his effects tucking in an assortment of goodies from the 'good ol' days' and made his way to the helipad atop pyramid plaza just in time to see two new agents step out of the helicopter. Striding forward he greeted them with far less formality or severity than they likely felt was warranted, "Who's Wheaties did you piss in to get taxi duty?" He inquired clutching his fedora to his head as he crossed towards the aircraft. They gave him a stern and somewhat exasperated look before mechanically stating, "Captain Ace Danger you are being recalled to active duty for reasons of national security please come with us." That was a surprise and Ace merely nodded and stepped into the helicopter followed by the agents, "Must be big." he murmured to himself as he strapped in for the flight to the iceberg.

Well Ace had to admit that one advantage of Taylor living with Jack was she now had valet at home. He tipped the handsome young man generously and slipped him a wink as he passed him a simple business card with his name and a number he kept for such purposes before turning to mount the stairs. He casually conversed with the doorman as he waited on the elevator and was pleased to hear he was expected. Taylor still was getting used to living in something not a 5th story walk up after all. Arriving at the penthouse he rang the bell and pulled his own small pair of gifts from his pocket to present to the expectant mother.

Mike smiled down at her, "Oooh you said the magic words." He plucked the money from her fingers and leaned in to press a chaste kiss to her cheek. Looking to the others he said, "So meet you in the quad in a few, Alex can relay your orders while I'm on the way." As he shot off he sent his thoughts to alex, 'I'll let you know when I get there go ahead and get everyone's orders.' With that he shot off in a blur towards their favorite deli.

Ace grinned and let out a small laugh, "Well you didn't ask earlier if she was a plant lady so that's your own fault really." He replied simply, it was difficult to tell if Ace actually thought that was a reasonable question to have asked earlier or was merely poking at Jack of all Blades. He approached closer to the soil to look for further signs of Steshas return. "And I don't hate you. The books may be poorly written that doesn't mean they lack a grain of truth. At least for some vampires." He shot Avenger a wide grin, "Jack is indeed a vegetarian. Or so I have been assured. As for the sparkling I think that's just an affectation he maintains rather than any real aspect of his curse." Ace had let up on his generally antagonistic approach to Jack after many assurances that he was indeed on a strict diet, but some things were too good to pass up.
