He shouted a command to the pack and they slowly circled the heroes as they faded from sight cloaked by the stretching shadows hauntingly filling the chamber.

Atlas is up.

Mike was taking advantage of a free period after lunch to make a quick flight to the mall to pick some more summer appropriate clothes as he had managed to outgrow near everything he owned ... Again. When the attack began the sound of the initial blows raced to his ears causeing him to draw up short his vision piercing the distance to identify the cause of such chaos. As soon as he saw what it was he uttered a series of curses quite out of character for the normally reserved teen and activated his communicator as he rapidly changed into the blue and gold of his alter ego Phalanx, "Phalanx to Young Freedom some kind of monsters are attacking Pramas bridge I'm moving to engage." Message sent he shot out of the sky towards the teetering cars a flash of blue and gold across the sky.

Initiative (1d20=3) I case there was ever any doubt Phalanx is NOT a lightning bruiser :D

Das Battle: IC Cry Havok! IC OOC Cry Havok! OOC

Date: April 12th, 2010 No matter what kind of school you went to field trips were always something to look forward too. For a school like Claremont academy the resources for a field trip were a little beyond those of the average institution. Thus when it was announced that the metal shop course announced a field trip most of the students were quite excited by the prospect. Even more so when the destination was announced. They would be visiting the famed ASTRO labs home of some of the most advanced research and fabrication facilities in the city. As an added bonus of course they would be hosted by a former teacher and object of no small number of boyhood crushes, Dr. deHavilland, AKA Gossamer. As the tour began most students crowded forward, the class after all was popular among the inventive and gadget oriented students, to see the spectacular facilities and some of the more showy devices on display for many of the best young minds in the city. For his part Mike had taken the class hoping for help with his flagging GPA and an interest in far more mundane metal-crafts and machining, thus while he found the trip exciting in his own way he tended to hang back as most of the discussion went right over his head.

Mike looked up and quickly swallowed his mouthful of food, "Nothing in particular." He replied, "We'll probably hang out or patrol if she doesn't have homework she still needs to do." He explained with a shrug. "We've been doing dance classes Thursday nights but that's the only scheduled thing." He added as an afterthought.

Ace studied Jack warily, "I Think so? Mostly." He answered edge. He dropped the now blank scroll to the ground and warily stepped forward. "Jack you alright? Try to focus those are not your memories gotta remember who you are." He offered carefully. Mind magics were an odd thing though the scroll may have done a number on him taking it all in that quickly it shouldn't have had any mind control effect. Ace glanced back to Edge, "He'll just a need a minute to straighten things out it doesn't carry any persona just memories." Ace said with far more confidence than he felt but he thought they would need Jack if they were gonna take care of this shadow plot. Moreover they really needed what only jack now knew.

Ace looked confused for a moment as Jack pulled ... something? ... out of the paper. As it warped into a blade he quirked a brow and opened his mouth to explain what he thought was necessary to trigger the glyph. The ageless heroes eyes went wide as he stabbed the energy blade into the glyph and turned it, "Not li..." he sputtered before a flash of energy coursed up the paper and arced around Jack of All Blades head before pooling over his eyes to sink in. Ace regarded him warily and was prepared to catch him should he stumble.

Alright give me a Will save VS Stun DC 20 Followed by a Will save VS. Something else DC (Super Sekrit) And Take and HP for the second one ;)

Yea .... I'm gonna give them both until tomorrow then I'll move things along and see about wedging them in later if they show back up.

Phalanx didn't even bother moving out of the way of the blow from the hulking villain. He took the blow on the chin snapping his head back then slowly turned back to the brute apparently unharmed, "You'll have your turn I assure you." He replied. A quick glance around had fairly well assured that none of the other heroes really had the capability to deal with the flying telekinetic. His choice made for him Phalanx surged up and away into the sky towards Stellar a whirling contrail left in his wake as he sped skywards. "That's enough out of you." He yelled as he sped upwards. As he reached the floating villain his fist snapped out with the force of a speeding freight train in a mighty blow to the telekinetic's gut.

Alright I think me and Doc are the only flyers/ranged here and Doc is a little busy so time to deal with stellar. In OOC parlance it takes a power stunt with the magic descriptor to activate it.

Ace nodded agreement to Edges banter as he studied the hieroglyphs, "Kids right mummies are either cursed and driven mad by the weight of their endless existence or dark necromancers aiming for immortality and missing ... Sometimes both." He set aside the papyrus scrap with a frown. "Someone beat them to it. This is far too new to be an actual artifact. Modern era not ancient." He looked to his compatriots. "Unless ..." Ace grabbed up the sheet and pulled a penknife from his pocket scraping away at paper steadily revealing an odd symbol beneath. "Thule society ritual, locks knowledge away in the paper, also erases the memories until the counter rite is performed." He shakes his head, "But it takes a sorcerer to activate it. I know a little but have no real talent for magic."

Mike shrugged, "Yea the burgers are better but you can't do that everyday." He replied as he picked at the plate before him. "Of Course today would have been the day to go that route." He agreed as he took another bite followed by a large gulp of his juice. When Faith offered her opinion he kept his head down wholly confused at how the world worked in her head. Maybe Mark and her were meant for each other after all.

Just goahead and post up how you try to find out more and I'll let you know about any rolls you need to make.

Ace smiled wide as the tendrils sought out nourishment and gladly took the trip through the wrenching blackness to the basement. As they arrived he looked around confused, "A mushroom garden? Seriously? How much more stereotypical can you get." As Avenger arrived he looked eagerly on for further signs of her resuscitation. He pulled a small vial from his pocket and shook it, "Liquid sunshine." He explained, "She's a plant and needs light." He made sure to give Avenger a warning glance as he prepared to deploy the mystic liquid.

Mike grinned as Alex walked up and after the introductions were done looped one arm over her shoulder, "Hey you." He said with a wink as he did so. "Come down to slum it with those of us only taking a full class load instead of a triple?" though he teased he was clearly proud of her. "So where to on the tour? Or do you need to check in still?" He looked to trevor questioningly.

Mike chuckled at that, "Well we all like you at least." He corrected with a smile. He turned to join the rest of them heading towards the park then paused glancing to wards the dorms, "Hey I'll be back in half a sec I'm just gonna zip over to grab my ... ah never mind." he finished as he remembered that it would take him much longer without his normal speed to help. He shrugged, "This is gonna take some getting used to."
