Thats not how it works though. Healing is a save effect hence it uses the selective extra not feat and is stopped by immunities. If you are suggesting we house rule otherwise I will say it is unlikely (IE I would vote against such a change as I think would every one else on staff) Healing is a powerfull effect. Aoe even more so so there is no balance reason to reduce it to a feat and would infact be overpowered if that was the case.

Mike nodded emphatic agreement and stood to dig through the mishmash storage above his bead that had once been a top bunk for when Alex stayed over and had over the years like most surfaces in a teen boys room become another surface to hold assorted clutter. "Well thank you professor Albright." He said with a joking smile as he turned a small stack of games in hand. Mike then frowned slightly, "You don't actually have a doctorate yet right?" he double checked as he realized his jest might not have been so much a jest.
-
Mike smiled at the touch and turned his head to give her hand a quick peck as she withdrew it. "Hmmm." He rumbled, "that is a problem with that plan." he acknowledged. Of course while movies were fun he really had been looking forward to just spending some time with her away from all the insanity of school and Young Freedom without the embarrassing knowing glances and occasional commentary from their parents. "I just wanted to see you again." He said gently patting her knee with one long arm, "Didn't think much beyond that." He let out a nervous laugh and his thought drifted across their mental link almost accidentally 'I guess we can see where Zoe gets that at least.' Which was likely true as Alex planned for just about everything. He shook his head to stir himself from the conundrum represented by that particular temporal oddity. "Well I offered a suggestion bad though it may have been, you have any ideas?" he inquired trying to keep his mind focused was increasingly difficult where Alex was concerned. He wasn't uncomfortable, quite the opposite, just having her around was enough to brighten his day. But he thought that if they were dating they should do, well, date stuff. Of course what exactly that was supposed to be Mike still wasn't entirely sure.
-
Mike nodded as she described the normal post holiday scene at the Albright house. He was mildly surprised that given the time Alex was spending with her grandfather her mother hadn't reconciled at least some of the past there. Well moreover tat she hadn't reconciled but still let Alex do so. He didn't really understand the history too well though so perhaps there was more too it. He almost asked about it but was distracted by the images that flooded his mind unbidden when she mentioned 'Torrid make-out session'. After a slack-jawed moment he pulled himself together enough to form some kind of reply. "Well we don't have to rule it out entirely." He said and almost managed not to blush then quickly moved on, "I didn't have any particular plans. Maybe a movie or something if you wanted." Mike was not so good with the decision making at the best of times and after Alex's teasing none of the ideas that were popping up in his mind seemed appropriate to verbalize.
-
Mike's cheeks colored for a moment as he processed what she was suggesting. "I dunno about that." He said nervously not really sure how to respond though the reminder of that fact made him both happy and suddenly more nervous both at once. He easily caught the can and popped the top wincing slightly as he took a sip, unused to carbonated beverages as he was he was always startled by the bubbles. "Thanks, Dad got her a juicer for Christmas ya know. I had no idea how many thing s you could juice." Nor for that matter how many things you could but really shouldn't he shuddered at the memory of some of the more creative cocktails. He set the can on his bed stand and leaned back arms behind his head stretching for a moment, "So how was the post holiday crush at your place?"
-
Mike nodded and pulled her into a deep hug. After releasing her he made unnecessary pantomimes about the noise, as he was well able to project over the din, to indicate they should head upstairs. Mrs. Harris looked up from her canning for a moment and waved to Alex with a broad smile shooing them both towards the stairs. Once upstairs Mike hurriedly cleared off his desk chair and with a shrug deposited the laundry previously there on the larger pile int he corner. He flopped down in an oversize beanbag chair next to the bed and explained, "Yea the buyer over did it on the organic cranberries this year so most of them were on the edge of going south. Mom took em all here to can them up for Second Harvest." He had long ago become accustomed to his mothers eccentric attitudes on such things. He gestured up on the desk, "There're some snacks I snuck home from school up on the desk if my dad didn't get to them yet. And I can brave the laboratory if you need a drink." he offered with a smile.

I would say certainly descriptors like elemental ones (Fire, Ice, Lightning) or subtypes of magic(Infernal, celestial, necromantic, divine, etc.) or ones like psychic maybe but that's on the edge of being too broad more like psychic(mentalism) or other slightly more restricted versions of psychic phenomena. Generally though it'd be a very case by case basis personally.

His families living in Freedom City meant that Mike was mostly a boarding student as a sort of crash course in socializing. The fact that the school was on the other side of town and his Mother was carefully monitoring the families carbon footprint didn't hurt either. However when it came to the holidays there wasn't much to justify him staying at school instead of home. So after the assorted relations had come and gone and the decorations had mostly been dismantled Mike had invited Alex over for the afternoon and maybe dinner. It wasn't all that unusual in and of itself, they had after all been fast friends since infancy, but this was the first time she had been over not as part of a family function since they had started dating. Mike had assumed that given the circumstances his parents would prefer they stay downstairs. His mother however was canning for an organic food drive and insisted they'd be fine up in his room and wouldn't have to worry about her noise or being in the way. Mike simply shrugged at the explanation and waited in the living room for Alex to arrive.

That would be a linked nullify (mutant powers) not an immunity the Immunity allows you to auto succeed on saves VS the included effects. But in theory yes you could have a character that had immunity to Fire or darkness for instance and also linked nullify for the same descriptors on his attacks. What those descriptors could include is limited to what would be balanced. Nothing so common or broad that you are going to be immune/ignore most things you encounter. In the genre both mutation and magic are common enough descriptors that they would likely be over powered.
-
The very common entry would be the most common things you could get away with. So things like bullets. Or Melee Attacks. That level of commonness. Is there something specific you are considering? It's probably easier just to tell you its too common or not than to give more examples than that.

Phalanx flew through the gate ahead of the others as he was best able to withstand surprise attack. After Psyche spoke he gently squeezed her hand in support and sent his thought to her confidently 'We'll find him, start looking.' then drifted forward to land next to the famed King of storied Dakana. "I'm Phalanx." He said plainly continuing to explain, "We found another group of UNISON agents on the other side of the gate, they were able to direct us here." He glanced about for a moment and further explained, "During the skirmish with the Lizard men who had followed the rest of your party one of our members vanished. We believe he was taken here though perhaps through other means than these gates." He looked to Hellion to further explain the dimensional disturbance he had earlier detected.

Ace ignored the jab at his advanced age with smile on his lips and returned the High Five. He winced only slightly as he shook his now tingling fingers and replied, "Thank you sir. I hope we managed to entertain, though I reckon most are waiting for the heavyweights."

As Phantom flitted insubstantial through tunnel and earth alike Atlas obliterated a large section of the tunnel which nearly collapsed on top of him and his prisoners. Escaping the collapsing section of the tunnel Atlas begins to try to pick his way through looking to follow the trickle of storm water towards what he hoped would be a less cramped tunnel.

Ace let his studiously blank countenance speak for him on the matter of his approval. "You know how women get when they fall for someone." he said with a gentle shrug, "The object of their affection can do no wrong." a fact that Ace had not in the past been above taking advantage of either. "Even if the guy is just a leech on the belly of society." he quietly added with a grimace of distaste.
-
Phalanx shrugged at Geckomans worries of an ambush. He had trouble considering the primitive reptilians a real threat and it sounded like the gate or whatever it was was in the other dimension anyway. "Lets get moving then." He said and started to march into the jungle in the direction indicated keeping a wary eye out just in case.

Alright math Fixed we'll call it approved As of you hitting gold.

Ace chuckled lightly at the old mans admonishment. "I try to keep in practice but opportunities are sparse." He glanced around eyes settling on Atlas clearly the most colorful of the lot. "The tall red fellow is Atlas a friend and teammate of your niece, I daresay she inherited your sense of adventure." Ace had little to no doubt that with Phantoms assorted public appearances the eye's former guardian knew her secret. Likely he knew more than Ace himself did and possibly more than Phantom. "Regardless she's mostly managed to keep a good lot watching her back. When she's not falling to her feminine weakness." He added wryly, eyes lingering on the happy couple.

Ok powers total to 42 not 32 that needs to be adjusted under the powers entry and at the bottom of the sheet. Other than that it all looks legit. The notes that follow are merely advice so you know before you get into play. Alot of it has been mentioned in chat but I want to go point by point ahead of time. None of this stands int eh way of your approval but I feel that you should know about these issues. Attributes: Other than you're wisdom you're not getting your bang for your buck here. You don't have very many int or cha related skills or abilities even with speed of thought taken into account. If you want to be bright and likeable for RP purposes I find that 14-16 is a good range to represent that without spending too many points where they aren't doing you much good. Combat: Pretty good. you could save points on getting a little dodge focus if you preferred but its not that big a deal in the end. Saves: You didn't neglect them that's a good thing. If you were feeling squezzed for points a little less will or even ref wouldn't be the end of the world. Skills: I think you overspent here quite a bit. Concentration is at this point of no use to you and likely won't be. Even if it does become useful you could buy it up at that time. All your other skills are really higher than is generally necessary and in some ways higher than makes sense. Faith is a precocious child, so is Psyche and her PL 11 build has almost half the points devoted to skills as you do. Once again things representing her areas of special interest and primarily existing as RP skills being in the 1-5 range is a good representation you have them at rank 15. Even skills she doesn't have as a special interest are very high 9-12 is expert in the field IE diplomacy a professional diplomat would be in the 4-8 range in general you're in high school and are in the range of someone who's one of the best in the field. Feats: Pretty good Jack of all trades does help your high stats be more useful. Powers: Good. Your array right now however is anemic. Your heal isn't total so being that high does it very little good and its still a full round action. You have one other power in it and that's a boost that can be very debilitating to use if you don't do well on the save. I can't help but think you would be better served by a slightly larger and more robust array of Psycho-metabolism powers. I realize you intend to use boost to get yourself towards combat caps where you can and that's good but I think even a few extra points in your array would drastically change how effective you are in play. Again this is all just advice. Alot of which I'm sure you've heard already but I wanted to make sure you see where things might give you trouble both as you go forward with the character and as you look to building other characters. In the end it really seems that she does nothing exceptionally well without even managing to be very broad based. If that's what you want to play however I'll approve it as soon as you fix that math error I mentioned at the top.

Frequency of Descriptors A short List

"HARRY!" Ace exclaimed giving his old friend a hearty pat on the back. "Ladies this is Hong Kong Harry. Harry, Moira and Elena." He glanced about and excused himself quickly with a smile and wink, "If you ladies don't mind I'm gonna go catch up with my old friend. I'm sure you'll find some diversion or another." With that he wove his way slowly through the crowd speaking quietly in Tibetan, "Why the long face old chum?"
-
'But not tough enough.' Ace finished his thought as the Inter-dimensional Cowboy hit the mat. Ace bowed to the cheering crowd with a flourish and saluted his fallen opponent. Speaking as best he could over the din he complemented Colt, "A tough fight indeed. I've faced deep jungle Python adepts with a less tenacious grip." Then offered a hand up into the ring to Grimalkin, "I'll wager he'd rather wake to prettier face than mine." He said with a wink and charming smile.

Avenger notices the tunnel seeming to get darker as well. And we're out of rounds now. If you turn around to go back down the tunnel you are in you will notice that the tunnel seems to be turning in a different direction than when you came down it last time. Following it doesn't lead back to the others in any immediate way

The cultists were quickly dispatched by the pursuing heroes. Avengers terrifying visage and mighty blows easily knocking the frightened Cultists out. Atlas' opponents were in-cased in a thin sheet of ice unable to move as the giant approached. However all was not well there was a subtle change to the heroes environs and they suddenly were quite aware of just how alone they each were.
