Ace surveyed the emotional carnage somewhat wearily. His eyes flashed to Taylors for a moment then he turned his attention to Derrick a concerned frown replacing his usually unrelently smile. "Derrick, You can have what rightous indignation you like over Jacks actions but you defended him because you believed in him. You never asked how or where or who, and he's not to blame for that." He said gently, "Now there is someone else that needs you much more than we do, you can have it out with Jack over his past errors later. Right now Stesha shoudl be your concern." It pained Ace to see Derrick illusions shattered but ti was bound to happen eventually, the world did not exist in the monochrome he viewed it in the sooner he managed to get his head around theat the better in the end. He left Derrick with those words hopeing the apeal to helop Stesha would stay the mighty hero's fury for the time being at least. He turned away then to look to Jack, they woudl have words about this soon but not here and with so many volotile tempers still chaffing.

Ace was almost gratefull for Taylors return ending the awkward silince that had followed his last statement. Judging from Taylors appearance and reaction the inevitable intervention had gone as poorly as he woudl have expected. As the assorted recriminations began to be flung to each side he remained seated casually watching as everyone took up one cause or another. Stesha and Moiras indignant outrage over Jacks, well Jackness, and Taylor and Derrick leaping to his defense was pretty well expected. When the situation looked to turn violent however he knew it was time to cool the pot a little. Ace let out a piercing whistle, "Thats enough of that!" he said firmly looking to both groups sternly. Once sure no one was going to actually try something he lowered his voice and firmly pointed everyone to their seats. "What Jack would never do couldn't fill this glass." He said depositing the delicate champaign flute on the table as he took his own seat once more. "Of that all of you really should be aware." He said looking directly at Derrick and Taylor. "What he's capeable of is another matter entirely, and he certainly isn't able to force or manipulate Moira into anything she didn't want to do in the first place, regardless of how much she may have regretted it in hindsight." He concluded with a nod to Stesha. "As for you." He directed his gaze at Jack once more, "I think its about time you grow a spine and face your mistakes instead of running off like a sullen teenager any time someone brings them up." Adding to the group in general, "Now then if we can all remain civil I think we might manage to get through this without me having to pay to have the place remodled again."

The camera panned to the door of the stretch limo swinging open to reveal Ace Danger in trademark world war two era bomber jacket and fedora. The famed hero of several decades stepped out with a dazzling smile and a quick wave to the crowd. The lights of the paparazzi flashes a visual stacato as he made his way towards the fighter entry way. He fell into a deep bow taking Lisa's hand in his own and laying a delicate kiss on her knuckles. "Good to see you again Lisa," He said as he straightened. Nodding to the other reporters clustering around. "It's been awhile since I've done any exhibition matches." He said with a wink, "But I promised the shamballa masters I would defend their techniques against all comers and this seems just the place." He dropped the name of the famously mysterious shamballa order easily. "I would love to stay and chat but at my age I'll have to get some warm up in if I'm gonna show this youngsters what for." He added with a smile and quick joke about his ageless existance.

The field woudl block corporeal entry as well so at least portions of it must go down when the doors are opened. This kind of tech isn't generally available on earth prime. DS have an HP for your senses/insubstantial being blocked. It looks like there are four two man patrols that pass a given spot in roughly 15 minute intervals. Given the size of the building and thier speed they probaly stop for 2-5 minutes at a location somewhere on the far side as some kind of check in. The stationary watchers are in groups of 2-4 staged aroudn the building totalling around 17 total. All of them are likely armed with small arms of some kind but no large weapons are visible.

Decision made the group made their way to the warehouse Arrowhawk had indicated. It seemed normal enough at first glance, with a dilapidated sign indicateing it housed a unknown Import/Export buisness. However even a brief examination of the property quickly revealed it was not so simple. Blink and Arrowhawk quickly took in the odd posture of many of the lounging street people, a certain stiffness and alertness more in keeping with military training. Additionally every few minutes teh same passer-bys would circle the warehouse. Clearly a plainclothes patrol of some sort. To Dark Stars enhanced senses the picture was far more grim. The warhouse walls were sheathed in some kind of gravtic field blocking the interior and likely even his Insubstantial form entry.

Ok feel free to ask any questions about what special senses detect if you're using them. Once thats done go ahead and post initiatives if you interfere.

The sounds grew louder as the Heroes made their way down the tunnel. Clearly something had gone very wrong in the depths of the abandoned underground. Phantom and Dead Heads mystical senses were set abuzz as they grew closer to the sounds of some sort of fight. They burst into a large gallery of some sort, likely some former subway station of a long deceased track. The lights here seemed to be functional though dim and set the scene of a grisly tableu. Several black robed men and women huddled in the protection of some kind of shadowy mystic circle shouting commandments at several animate corpses. The worse of it however was in the center of the room. A horrid patchwork creature reared nearly twenty feet in the air surrounded by zombies futilely trying to contain it. It had arms and legs protruding at improbable angles along the length of its almost serpentine body and teminated in a freakish maw surounded grasping hands. They could see below it the tattered remains of a more ornate robe not disimilar to those of the cultists hudling behind thier makshift ward. This had to be the 'creature' the fearfull residents of the higher levels refered to.

The Demon lords strike nearly knocked hte wind out of Phalanx but the super human teen was made of sterner stuff. HE flew backwards a few hundred feet as his friends launched their flurry of attacks upon the behemoth. He waited untill he saw a weaknes in the creatures defense, a moment when he was off balance, and shot from the sky in a blur. He pushed himself as hard as he ever had to strike James father, he flew fast and true and his fist collided with monumental force against the thick nobby hide of the Demon.

Extra effort for +2 enhanced strength (1d20:17+10=27) Thats an all-out attack Power attack DC = 15 + 17(Strength) + 5(Power attack) + 10(combined Attack) = 47

Ace gently released a puff of smoke from his lips, skillfully steering it clear of Derrik. He cocked an eyebrow at Jack, "You have a marvelous gift for understatement there Jack." He said with a thoughtfull nod. To say the woudl face 'some' difficulties wasn't even the tip of the iceberg in Aces opinion, But this kind of mistake was the perogative of youth. He casually examined Jack unsure if the Vampire King was really this out of touch, he was exceptionally young for his station after all.

If Ace was taken aback by the display it didn't show, then again he rarely let slip expresion that wasn't exactly what he intended. "Well it sounds as if congratulations are in order." He said with a silky smile. As the ladies headed to 'powder their noses' he made a quick request of the staff and returned with a small oak humidor under one arm. He offered one of hte fine cubans to Jack and Derrik in turn before taking one himself lighting it as he sat. "So?" He inquired somewhat rhetorically, "Marriage."

Ok trying to kickstart this again. You all want me to jump us forward to hitting the warehouse or you have more discussion you want to do?
-
Ok trying to get back on this sorry about the delay. You all want to do around of the rest of you following atlas down the tunnel or you want me just to move the action forward?

Charity and fisticuffs this is right up Aces ally :)

I think for the sake of Drama its probably fine for you to go ahead and join in on this one. I think we're semi out of rounds at this point anyway. Least thats how I feel on it, anyone is free to contradict me if I'm missreading it.

I will agree that those types of builds make me uncomfortable as well, Which is why I felt it was fairly reasonable to have a Super senses array in general. I do see the concern with how much "sense" it makes for hearing effects and visual ones to vary from array slot to array slot. It just seems like a rather arbitray line given the way some powers are set up. Also I doubt there woudl be much issue at all if this was bundled into a Power Armor device as a "sensor suite" or some such. But that goes back to the issue of what descriptors allow what breadth of choice in this sort of situation. Perhaps the topic of another discussion entirely. Would this be acceptable if I changed it to Penetrates concealment AP'd with Ultravision, infravision, and extendedx2 so it was all visual senses being swaped around?
-
Well conceptually Its pretty much as quote said. Basically he's still learning to use his powers and all so most of hte time his senses are just a little better than average, then when he focusess those senses become more limited as he concentrates on looking through a wall. Eventually he'd develop the ability to keep them all active at once. I do see what you mean with hearing and vision not seeming intrinsicly linked, it just seems an odd place to draw the line considering the types of varried arrays already allowed. Aditionally I personally find its a little bit of a dangerous precedent to say that one power descriptor is fine to have wildly varried arrays attatched too and others are not. Origin/power source descriptors are basically supposed to be created equaly to say that you can do one thing with one type and not another doesn't sit well with me on a balance level.

Ace nodded as he saw the color return to Steshas face and hardly spared a glance for the shrivling plant she drew her strength from. He was glad to see her recovered and gently took her hand as her eyes fluttered open. "You back?" he asked with care. "I don't have much time." He continued, "They'll need me out there again soon." It was true though the outcome would be little different if he was there or here but he knew where he belonged. "If you can, try and get to the safe rooms and get out who you can. Port from place to place and hopefully we'll break through sooner than later." He knew his haven was no such thing any longer. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze before whirling to rush back to the front. Once there he looked out to the distance where the horde once again had ammassed to wipe thier small resistance out then turned his gave to Freedoms devoted defenders. He couldn't say it wasn't a fitting end after all the years. As the line of demons began to close in he strode forward. He called to his fellow Heroes once more but no more flowery speaches just simple devoted truth. "LETS END THIS!"

Ace took a step back and stole a subtle glance at Taylor. The presence here of being such as Moira was precisely what she was tasked with preventing. Of course with a valid summoning ritual they had neatly sidestepped that little dilema at least fot he time being. As for the future they could always find another loophole if they needed. "Well," he said smoothly, "I think catching up over lunch would be deliteful. I'll call ahead." He added with a wink. As he pulled his Phone from somewhere his toga vanished in the blink of an eye replaced with a tailored suit and his somewhat out of place but trademark fedora. He spoke a few quick coaxing words into the phone then hung up, Pharohs generally didn't open for the lunch crowd but when you were Ace Danger the rules were a little more malliable. "I've arranged privacy as well so we don't have to worry about any stray ears listening in." He said with a smile.

Both of those checks are contested with Bluff (or maybe dance in this case?) not Will Saves. Though Have an HP the demon lord is not distracted by your capering about works as well ;)

IS there a reason not to just have them as a set of immunities? Generally I feel that for the standard setting (Warriors and Warlocks differs a bit IMHO) things like that should be left as powers. Effectively the feat replacers get you a power that has innate for free. Now in some cases this is reasonable, you could develop such an ability (IE some of the grappling feats, like chokehold that effectively gives you strangulation). The one outlier to me has always been fearless so there is certainly a basis for such a feat set. I woudl say though that rather than 1 5pt "jaded" effect you take an immunity feat to the specific emotion control powers you want to be immune to. Even with that I would say looking into why you are immune to such effects should tell you if its really a feat or if its a power.

Ace let Jack take up his standard possesive position next to Taylor before slowly standing himself and crossing the room to gently embrace the returned Goddess. "We all did what we could." Ace said smoothly, "Besides we couldn't leave you to lounge forever in some Olympian salon. You still owe me that drink." He added with a wink and a smile.
