  4. Sagrado Corazon made his way slowly and carefully through the hallways beneath the station on his way to the morgue that seemed to be the center of all the excitement. The dull red of the emergency lighting was cut by the soft gold of his own luminescence, he hoped sufficient not to spook any cops down here already on edge from whatever was behind the lockdown. As destiny or happenstance demanded he arrived at the scene almost exactly the same time as Betsy and Persephone. He nearly took his leave seeing the more experienced and confident heroes on the scene already but steeled himself and joined the group outside the morgue, "Do we know what we're dealing with?" he enquired offering no further explanation for his presence that might make him sound more insane than helpful.
  5. The giant frogman was hit squarely by the freonic blast, Ice forming along his beaten leather jacket and limning his form as he bounded out of the column of ice before it could immobilize him, directly into the path of Archers incoming volley much to his chagrin. As the riot foam hardened around him holding him in place anchored to the ground and nearest wall by the sturdy polymer foam he strained against the bonds grimacing at terifficas taunts, "There are worse things in the Terminus then death, girl." he grunted and let out a bellow of rage. "I WILL NOT BE CHAINED AGAIN!" he boomed loud enough to be heard for miles around by those sensitive to such frequencies. With a mighty effort he tore first one, then both arms free of the foam and wrenched himself free of the bindings shaking hte remnants from his coat and glaring at the foes arrayed before him eyes a bit wild almost more akin to a trapped animal.
  6. Alright all caught up. Kronk: Full Round Action: break free (Full round breaking objects his damage bonus is Strength bonus + 2 for Super Strength for +12 vs the Snare at toughness 12. An even toughness and dam bonus means it's broken.) Triakosia is up and if still using Super Breath Kronk will reflex save DC 25 1d20+7=26 success Halves the Save DC (opposed Strength check for Trip) 1d20+10=30 With her DC bonus of +8 (after halving for the reflex save) He's gonna win that and keep his feet. My IC incoming and @Tiffany Korta will be up for her IC, and OOC will be @EternalPhoenix for teriffica at the top of round 2. Round 2 29 Teriffica 4HP Uninjured 27 Archer 4HP Uninjured 23 Kronk 2HP Uninjured 21 Triakosia 2HP Uninjured
  7. As the details of the situation were revealed Jolan sat back pensively, the tactical realm was not his area of expertise he was more focused on the dynamics of the group as they discussed the situation. Fa'Rua however sat up as the display lit the table, "Hitting them when they're out of the base means predicting where they are going." she glanced to Jolan for a fraction of a second at that, "Which is uncertain at best." she pointed out with a shrug, "Plus all they have to do is retreat when we show up, they're raiders because they don't stick around when their victims can put up a fight." "I can myself and another, maybe two, past the wall." she offered quietly as she studied the layout, "They have anti-air? We could come in on my ship or drop in with flight packs." The latter of course would mean fighting out in the open upon landing, not the optimal solution if one was not looking for a death in battle like the Fryxian. "If we get one or two in to infiltrate and take down defenses we might be able to attack from the air." She looked a bit green at Kanemu's offer and shook her head as B'Ka replied with interest, "Well there's an image I won't be able to get out of my head." she murmured in distress.
  8. Chris hadn't slept. Every time he tried the nightmares came, so much blood. Not that he could make sense of them but the Voice insisted they meant something if he could only see it. Not that it was being helpful in explaining any of it, just screeds of being filled with glorious purpose. He left home before the sky had even begun to color with pre-dawn light, not wanting to worry his mother with his restless pacing. He found himself in the alley behind central processing with the Voice growing louder, his pacing and muttering to himself not doing any favors int he eyes of anyone manning the security cameras. He finally gave in and pulled out his phone as he leaned against the wall next to the door and the Voice quieted finally. "Carlos? Yea it's Chris, I need a favor..." Within five minutes a junior custodian popped the employee entrance and let Chris in. They got down to the basement just in time for the Lockdown to sound, "Fuck! Hide in here." Carlos insisted quickly unlocking a custodial closet before they got picked up in sweep. "You're literally asking me to hide in a closet Carlos?" Chris smirked cockily and stepped in as the young janitor glared, "Just keep quiet and I don't know you if they catch you." the door closed and Chris quickly got changed and emerged into the empty hallway as Sagrado Corazon. He could hear the sounds of the Morgue being cleared and SWAT moving in and began to make his way in that direction.
  9. Chris is always up for meeting Darkly handsome strangers in dark alleys fighting the forces of darkness.
  10. Heh. We need @EternalPhoenix to get his IC up and then RL can get his up. Kronks gonna burn his round on trying to break free we'll see how that goes.
  11. Alright, Kronk gets a 1d20+7=9 on his save vs dc 21 fail by 12 means Bound and Helpless and the snares toughness is up to 12
  12. Round 1 29 Teriffica 4HP Uninjured 27 Archer 4HP Uninjured 23 Kronk 2HP Uninjured 21 Triakosia 2HP Uninjured That will hit and he gets 1d20+7=21 on his save so makes the save After Teriffica's IC Archer is up.
  13. And we're in rounds briefly hopefully. Kronk (somehow) goes on 23
  14. Let's see if Kronks heard of Prime beating back Omega. Knowledge: Cosmology: 1d20+3=17 Hmmm Not quite. He's gonna try to feint Teriffica, Feint as move action 1d20-5=7 And A full power attack 1d20+5=18 DC30 toughness if that hits which will only be the case if she somehow does not see through his feint which I think she does on a 1 with any of the available counters.
  15. The giant amphibian peered suspiciously at Triakosia then Teriffica before lowering his bike to the street and de-energizing the cannon as he dismounted. He looked around at the distressed but not destroyed landscape and shrugged, "WELL, DEFEATED THE TERMINUS, TWICE NO LESS." He remarked feigning being impressed, poorly. Kronk stepped forward and extended a hand to Terrifica, "WELL LET ME SHAKE THE HAND OF THE....WOMAN? WHO DEFEATED OMEGA!" He declared words echoing off the empty homes and desolate streets around them. The ploy was predictable, almost comically so, if not for the stakes should his widely telegraphed attack land. He attempted to pull her off balance to drive his sloping brow down toward her in a devastating if ill aimed headbutt. Springing back as she pulled away Kronk shook his head, "YOU ALMOST HAD ME UNTIL YOU CLAIMED TO BEST THE LARD OF ENTROPY TWICE!" the hulking toad bellowed and braced himself, "I'M NOT SOME TADPOLE FRESH FROM THE BROOD POND! WHAT'D HE GIVE YOU TO BETRAY YOUR WORLD, MAY IT ROT IN YOUR HANDS!"
  16. "You're not even supposed to be here today." Fa'Rua smirked to Bliss with an easy laugh, "Point taken." she nodded and followed to the table taking her bottle with her to lounge loose limbed in the booth as the others joined. Jolan carefully watched the interplays in action and offered a polite nod to Kanemu, "It is something like that I suppose." he acknowledged such ostentatious displays of piety were in part to herald the orders membership. Hanging back slightly with the Star Knight squires he gently offered, "Pursuit of glory is not my path, but there is much to be said for braving danger despite fear not because one lacks it." he advised quietly and slipped off to join the others. Seating himself in a chair nearby he watched expectantly for what might come next. Though the quiet smile he hid in his cup suggested he had some clue at least. "So you put out the call Traveler?" Fa'Rua asked as the group settled in, "What are we dealing with that draws the Praetorians interest but not prowess?"
  17. Another scorching burst of energized particles scored deep pits in the near unbreakable steel of nihilor as the invader fired another volley and wheeled about in a tight loop overhead with a roar of challenge booming out over the grey skies. "WHATEVER HAPPENS IT WILL BE GLORIOUS!" Kronk bellowed back at Terrificas admonishment as he hovered overhead and looked about suspiciously, "WHAT TRICKERY IS THIS OMEGAHO." the amphibious humanoid taunted, "YOUR FOUL MASTER TOOK MY HOME NOW I HUNT HIS MINIONS!" he exposited as he revved the engine of his ride and charged the cannon for another volle of fire. "DOOMFORGES DON'T JUST BUILD THEMSELVES!"
  18. For clarity's sake he's not attacking any human guards (not being particularly careful about collateral damage though) he's focusing fire on the doomforge itself.

    The Hunter

Wednesday January 22nd 2020 11:13AM EST 42 degrees Freedomheight Light rain wind gusting to 30 mph offshore Skies over Kingston Over the abandoned homes, squatters, and bold rebuilders that comprised Kingston now the rain fell in the kind of lazy drizzle that said even it didn't want to be out in this weather. Those too proud or too poor too flee the ruined suburb went about their days heads down and focused on the next step and getting in from the blustery wind and chill wet that coated the near empty streets. High overhead the clouds, or space itself twisted and through the rent between worlds something emerged unnoticed by those below. That wouldn't last long. The Unbreakable Kronk emerged from the twisting rift in the warpwold his transit beacon giving off a foul acrid smoke and letting out a high pitched keen before falling silent and still no matter how hard he tapped the display. Against the backdrop of the dark clouds the black and chrome of his wyldride was but a shadow for any soul who looked up. Of course dimensional transit by such crude means would have alerted many looking for such things or sensitive to the warp and weft of the terminus and the fallen worlds it left behind. The bulky rider looked out over the city trying to get his bearings and soon his eyes fell on the doomforge, apparently unguarded but for distant proles far below. With a wild whoop and bellow far below the hearing of most humans reverberating off the clouds above he charged the cannon mounted in his sidecar and gunned the engine of the inter-dimensional bike the repulsors leaving a golden afterglow in the skies above as he angled for attack, "EAT MOLTEN DEATH YOU GLORIFIED TIN CANS" Kronk boomed as he unleashed a blistering burst of charged particles from the scavenged ship cannon mounted at his side. With a crashing boom the sky was lit by the stream of energy as it crashed into the nihilor steel of Doomforge sending arcing lighting crawling the dormant buildings armored bulk. With a mad laugh the biker swooped past and turned about angling for a fresh attack heedless of the panicked proles below fleeing from his assault, "COME GET ME DRONES I GOT A FRESH SPOT JUST FOR YOU!" he challenged slapping the side of his bike where he'd meticulously painted miniature Omegadrones for each confirmed kill.
  22. Fa'Rua didn't precisely jump at the boisterous arrival of the Fryxian but she noticeably tensed drawing a brief hint of amusement to her twins face. Jolan turned toward the new arrival with a slight bow, "Greetings Kanemu, may the Krallos graze eternal in the green beyond." He welcomed formally, records on the fallen people were sparse but he held some recollection of what the Lor knew of the fallen peoples. "I would be remiss to allow such misunderstanding to continue, I am hale and healthy, it is a sacrifice my order makes in our pursuit of enlightenment." he explained running hand over his neatly shorn pate. For her part Fa'Rua raised a brow at the confusion and laughed off the mistake, "I personally prefer my doom uncertain." she joked readily and nodded greeting to Sitara, "Well then I might have known there was more to this than some desperate miners." she inclined her head in respect to the Praetorian. "And I'm not the sort to turn down an offer of a drink." she added readily and followed the group to the cantina with an rolling swagger. She eyed Bliss with some uncertainty but if the Praetorian vouched for them it was good enough for the Lor. Inside Jolan carefully demurred the spirits on offer but accepted a glass of milk on grounds of not refusing a gift freely given. For her part his twin artfully passed a credit chit to the barkeep to ensure the bottle was left at her side after the round was served. After a moment Jolan raised his voice over the raucous aftermath of hte toast, "So what can you share of these raiders lady Shanshikala?"
  23. Jolan looked up towards B'ka with a pleasant if practiced smile, "It is more art then science, I know they will come, and may have insight in how to best prepare." he acknowledged evenly with a slight sigh, "But the threads of fate are not so simple to trace as to name a time and place for any but the most significant of events, and even then it can be abstract." Fa'Rua rolled her eyes and shook her head, "He means it's a jumbled mess and rarely has a timer attached." she scoffed and followed her brothers gaze over the khereds shoulder at the growing green streak across the sky, "Looks like your companions inbound." she noted with a grin and took a couple steps back from the likely landing zone letting her eyes wander to the minor scuffle a the exit ramp of the transport. "That is no common laborer." she noted as yet uncertain if the wooly mammoth was likely to be friend or foe. With the arrival of Kath'lana Jolan offered greeting once more and demurred, "No interruption at all good squire." He assured her, "We were merely remarking at the luck that brings you both to a planet in need of aid."
  24. Looking for 2-3 PL 10-12 characters to respond to explosions and/or some kind of attack near the Doomforge overlooking Kingston. Intro thread for the Unbreakable Kronk, so depending on reactions might be a bit of "Let's you and me fight!" but overall probably more character interaction/exposition than combat. Preference for Characters with ties to the terminus/warpwold but generally open recruitment.
  25. Fa'Rua stopped in her tracks as the meteoric re-entry lit the skies overhead eyes narrowing, "That's no meteoroid." she intoned suspiciously and began to reach out ot twist it's path away form the settlement when her brother gave a small shake of his head placing a hand on her shoulder to halt her efforts. As the Star Knight Came to a rest before them the Lor scout stepped forward and shook her head, "No this is a planet with a bunch of miners looking for help with some bad guys." she corrected perhaps a bit harshly before her brother shot her a quelling look and stepped in diplomatically. "Greetings honored Squire, may you bring honor to the Citadel." the Lor intoned solemnly. "I am Jolan of the Lor Star Republic and this worthy is Scout Sergeant Fa'Rua." he introduced with a deep bow. Fa'Rua frowned at her brothers interruption but had to acknowledge the Star Knights were unlikely to strike out at the world as a whole and the aid of even a trainee of the citadel could be of great help if the situation was as dire as reports indicated. She hung back and allowed her brothers way with words to carry them for the time being. "As mentioned this is indeed a world in need of aid." Jolan continued and pause glancing skywards, "You mentioned another? Are more Star Knights expected?" he inquired and glanced to Fa'Rua as if this would be proof enough their own aid would be in surplus.
