Phalanx didn't hesitate for even a moment as soon as he saw James and Erin safely in Alex's care he streaked towards the Demon Lord at Super-Sonic speeds Slamming into the fel creatures nobby hide with all his might. Willing his strike to plow through the hideous monstrocity. Yet even in his blaze of violence he was calm and at peace. He had to do this, he had to stop this creature here and now.

Well I guess I get to take on the big bad then. All-out attack, Power attack, 1d20+10=25 DC 34 toughness save.

Ace smirked at Jacks excuse for his presence, though he managed to avoid rolling his eyes. He had aquired the fitted patricians toga fromt he same source as he had aquired the details of the ritual. His source had said there hadn't been a priestess with the skill to commune directly with the olympians in decades but it had still taken him some skillful negotiation before she released the archaic text into his care. He was confident however that Taylor woudl have little difficulty with the ritual. The cult of bachus was not exactly known for attractingthe most studious followers at the best of times. Besides if this didn't work he still had a good lead on a more direct acess to Olympus, getting her out once there was of course another matter entirely but at least it would answer thier questions if nothing else. "So shall we get started then?" He asked lounging on the couch with a glance to Taylor for confermation she was prepared.

Well for an alternate viewpoint if its the same thing why build a new power to do it? I see what you mean about simplicity ala rapid attack but the way I read your description of the power (and the inclusion of a couble broken extras/PFs) its not even simpler really. Aditionally, in this kind of format allowing one player built power opens the floodgates for everyone trying to introduce home brew stuff, which ties up Ref time and is irritating for everyone when most of it is likely to be way OP.

Yea I saw that in UP which is why I was asking before just slapping into character edits. However it seems that that particular call in UP is a little incongruous with Arrays in general and particularly with some constructions here. Most notably Hellion has an Array that grants a great deal of Charisma and many skill points, with a nother settign thats is a large amount of strength and several melee combat feats (Copied from at least one version of belphagor I believe) I fail to see how that is less problematic than haveing an array of super senses dependant upon how you are focusing your attention. This seems a far more innocuous use of arrays than most arrays really which can give a vast amout of varried powers at a very low cost compared to having to get them all at normal cost.

I think its been pretty well stated that this power as written ubove isn't really workable and also that wholesale power creation is something that is highly unlikely to be approved. So If I understand correctly the effect you are trying to create is on wherein you effectively "jump into" a persons shadow and move with them as the base desired effect correct? For that effect alone I think possesion (severly limited to not include any of the mind control elements) covers it. If you want to be able to attack from such a possition however you will likely run into trouble even building it as a linked set of powers. Basically you are talking about full concealment and intangibility that you can attack from. This type of build has been scruetinized and rejected before but that character (a ghost idea) had many other issues as well. Generally any situation in which you can attack with little or not way of being attacked back is not likely to be approved. Honestly I woudl suggest useing a dimensional movement equivalent for the power. Something structured along the lines of dimensional pocket but you can only take yourself and your "gear" into it. Add in medium (shadows) as a complication/drawback/flaw dependant on how limiting you expect it to be (Like needing deep shadows) or a limitation that you need to emerge fromt eh same shadow as you entered. YOu can then jump into a shadow and ride along then pop out and attack (as a sneak attack since they won't really see you comeing) but have to wait out of the shadow for a round or surge to re-enter the safety of the shadow.

Nullify doesn't work like that. Its an opposed power check against each power nullified. (I think that the nullifier makes one check and the owners of the powers attempting to be nullified make power checks against that.) Unless its some kind of PL X Deus Ex kinda deal instead.

Before I go indepth into my character edits I wanted to check if this kind of build would be workable. Super Senses: 4 (Empowered senses; Penetrates Concelament: Visual; PFs: Alternate Power) [5] AP: Super Senses: 4 (Empowered senses; Ultra Hearing, Ultra vision, Extended Vision, Extended Hearing)

Phalanx gently and reassuringly squeezed Alexs hand. "Mortals like us have been thwarting you and your ilk for eons, and we will again today." He said staring unflinchingly at the Demon Lord, "You need James but he still is mortal and can choose to help you or not, and with your petty lies layed bare I know what my friend will do. You lost before you even started." He shifted his attention to James as he spoke giving him a confident smile, Mike had no doubts that with the truth out James would do the right thing. He really had been spending too much time with Mark clearly.

Well the thing is its not about it being present so much as you have to be in contact witht he medium (Or for attack powers use the medium as a point of origin) So for transmit if you are not standing in a shadow you can't use it unless you first take a move action to move to the shadow then another to activate transmit. If you can use transmit through your own shadow (Which you always have with you pretty much) or wireless networks it woudl be a descriptor. If you need a different shadow or a wired network then its a valid flaw as you can not activate it at any time but need ot meet certain requirements first. A good example is actually Electras Character Fluer se Joie (IIRC) as she ahs several powers that are basically medium style powers (using plants) but she caries the means to activate them with her pretty much at all times making them regular powers, the fact that they are plant based is just a descriptor for most of them.

Phalanx is Fearless as well.

I think we still need the saves from the Injured demons by James and Erin and the two Succubi. Or are they all to far away at this point?
-
His spirits buoyed aloft by Psyches calm reinforcement Phalanx focused his prodigious strength into a thunderous clap of his hands sending a visible wave of concussive force towards the flying succubi as he sped to his weakend teamates side prepared to defend her if more demons arrived.

The demonic horde had colided with thier paltry defense but the line held. Shouting orders and encouragement Ace led his band of survivors into the breach. The demons fell upon them with cruel claws and fel intent. Many were wounded some fell before the infernal onslaught, but many stayed thanks to the timely interventions of Dark Star and Phantom. Ace himself took the brunt of hte assault, with the hoard all around there wasn't the room he needed to manuever and many demonic weapons found thier mark. Ace however had seen worse, granted not much worse but worse none the less, and remained standing bloodied, battered, and grinning maniacly. There was no time Ace felt more alive then facing certain death and he continued to fight with ferocity out of keeping from his normally genteel persona. Steshas scream barely registered among the tumult but he heard Dark Stars response and new what it meant. When Dark Stars energy wave washed over him he was shocked to find himself free of the hoard if only for a moment quickly reforming his fellow inot a defensive line as Jack sprinted to Steshas crumpled form. As the Vampire Lord began taunting the remaining demons Ace boggled, 'Why wasn't he bringing her behind the lines?' But there wasn't time for such questions he ordered his men to plug the hole and charged to the unconcious heroins side, gently lifting her and running as best he could for the relitive safety of the defensive line. Dark Star had bought them a few precious moments and he would see to it it wasn't for naught. He didn't even spare a backwards glance for Jacks crazed last stand as he rushed Stesha into the depths of the manor, past the Death Vine, and into the hidden chamber where his Mankana still grew. Brushing aside cuttings and tool alike he laid her on the moist and fertile soil beside the plant. Without a thought for the priceless shrubs well being he focussed the rooms assorted aparatus upon her recumbant form bringing every ounce of sunlight that could be fished from the skies to bear on the greiviously injured heroine.

Tougness saves (1d20+9=10, 1d20+9=14, 1d20+9=25, 1d20+9=25) Wooo that'll learn ya to be Defense shifted. Welcome to Eight Wounds town Population: Ace ;)

Mike beamed down at her long arms pulling her close against the chill air. "It'll work out." He said quietly but with newfound confidence adding gently, "I've discovered things usually do actually." He certainly hadn't accepted Marks Laizze Faire attitude but he had come to understand some of it. They woudl be there for Zoe just like before, and when she stumbled they would continue to be there and when she needed them they woudl be waiting. There wasn't much more they could do, she had to come to terms with things on her own forcing the issue never helped.

Just a quick note. Dimensional pocket (which is dimensional movement with the attack extra basically) is allowed the Refs just want it kept low enough ranked that you generally need to disable or restrain the target before you can really use it. Fluer builds up enough snares to immobalixe the guy then uses it and Phantom generally stuns or more often just KO's th etarget first. Its more fro use as a prison than a real attack. It seems like transmit shadow is more what you are looking for. Dimensional movement isn't really undercosted as you can't even pervieve this dimension whne shifted without aditional powers no less effect it. You can add the dimensional extra to a bunch of powers and ESP or a super sense to be able to function from the other dimension and that is certainly very powerfull (effectively the bathroom mentalist issue I raised above) any form of attack that allows you to attack without being at risk is frowned upon. Another option is the Insubstantial/Concealment arangement above linked to some kind of limited Mimic (Travel powers only, Instant duration and reaction or free action) Basically set up to be that you can mimic thier travel power but have to stay with them in order to maintain it, or in fact reactivate it every round)
-
Well adding the dimensional extra (Power Feat?) I believe takes care of that barring the bathroom mentalist (Dimentionalist?) ramifacations of the power. (of course that also requires dimensional accurate senses)
-
All senses concealment is concealment 10, other than that it seems to do what he wants but it does seem overly complex way to go about it. Of course this relitively siple power is rather difficult to find an analog in M&M so it might be the best option. Ok giving this some more thought I think dimensional pocket might be the way to go. If you add Limmited: Only exit/interact through same Shadow entered and Limited: Medium(Shadows) add dimensional to it so you can use the attack from "the other side" to pull people into the shadow when it comes in contact with them. Then you can AP some other attacks off that base effect. However if those attacks are while in the Shadow realm it starts to run into the bathroom mentalist territory. Generally being able to attack from what is effectively complete safety is a no-no. In that regard the concealment Insubstantial might work better as then with counters concealment and affects insubstantial you can still be attacked but even that woudl be a bit much honestly. If all you want to do is the jump in thier shadow and ride along thing then it can be done with dimensional movement 1 (personal shadow dimension) Limited: Medium(shadow), Limited: exit same shadow only for a grand total of 1/2 a point rounded up to 1 PP. Then you have to pop back out to actually attack at all. Attacks that emminate while you are in the safety of the shadow are not likely to be approved though.

So thats Stunned and Staggered for each. The Knockback value is 14 minus their KB resistance (6 for the acid guy and 5 for the Mouther unless they have some impervious) for an 8 and a 9 value respectively for 250' and 500' of distance. The KB damage is DC 23 (Acid Guy) and DC 24 (Mouther) unless they impact something with a toughness lower than 8 or 9.

'Too many damn demons' Phalanx thought as the infernal minions unleashed their attacks upon Young Freedom. Breakdown seemed to at least be able to keep the demons on his flank busy but with James joining the fray Wander might be in trouble. The mighty teen sprung forward and hands that could bend steel without strain latched onto the acid spitting demon. Shouting "Chew on this!" he hefted his opponant into the air and with a mighty heave hurled it at Wanders mouthy opponant.

Yea my housemate is on medication that has that as a possible side effect. We can't change soaps or detergents at all for fear of his skin coming off. Makes trolling for sales much harder Course its not likely and sure beats drowning in your own fluids right?

Shift Paragon Array to Super strength rank 9 All out attack to grapple the Acid Spitter (8 base attack + 1 Master Plan + 5 All Out Attack = 14) Attack to initiate grapple (1d20+14=21) If that hits Grapple Check (1d20+36=45) If I win that Grapple I'll Throw the Acid Spitter (I Assume he's under my 250 tons) at Mr. Mouthy Attack with thrown Demon. (1d20+11=28) Which IIRC is a DC 29 Toughness (STR Bonus) for each of them assuming it hits the stunned demon. I'll post IC when I know IC if any of that works.

Ace had known the blessed barrier wouldn't last forever and had been prepareing for its fall since the first survivors straggled into the small bastion. He had seen those able to fight were armed as best he could and organized them into a ragtag line backing up the costumed heroes. As the ward flickerd and began to fade Ace smiled a somewhat mad grin. After all he was no stranger to apocalypse. 'Inumerable demon army spouted forth from the very maw of hell? No Problem' he thought as he almost joyfully jumped atop part of a makeshift barricade. Here with impossible odds and no hope Ace was in his element. He addressed the last of freedoms defenders eyes shining with zeal, "This is Freedom City!" he intoned pouring every ounce of his potent personality into his words he bolsterd the defenders will to fight, "We have faced the onslaught of Nazi super soldiers, mad men bent on world domination, unspeakable cults, the armies of hades himself and not faltered. We faced down Omega and pushed him back to his fell abode. We will show these demons why Freedom has never fallen. Each one of you today is part of history. Today we show the legions of hell that when things are darkest our will is strongest. Now is the time for each and everyone of you to fight for your City and for your world. Lets show these demonic bastards what the people of Freedom can do. FOR FREEDOM!" Ace lept towards the oncoming horde calling out directions here and there as he led his small force to meet the enemy. Many may fall but it woudl not be for naught, the demons would pay dearly for what they had done to his city. He fell among the demons weavign out of the way of horrid claws and gouts of hellspawned flame. His strikes carefull and sure almost surgical. He drove his antique blade into nobby demon flesh where it woudl do the most damage as the demon hoard pressed on against the tiny group of defenders.
