"Yea, I've been all to well reminded of that." Mike replied solemly. The superstrong youth sighed heavily, "I don't even really know how to explain me and Alex to tell you the truth, part of why I never did." he explained. Mike looked out the window a look of concentration on his face as he tried to come up with the words for something he had never really voiced before. "I feel like an idiot aparently everyone saw it but me ..." he snickered remembering his argument about it with Eddie and Chris after Mark and Alex first started dating, "I really just thought of her as a good friend, I was happy for both of you, I knew what a good guy you are." he shrugged his broud shoulders in exasperation, "That's what upset me so much at first I think. I can't say what possesed me to belive that nonsense in the first place but, when Daisy said what she said I just felt the most betrayed I ever had. I'm such an idiot, I knew better than that." he dropped his head shaking it in disapointment.

The Disarm action consists of two parts firstly there is a roll to hit Vs. the wielders defense. If this is done with a ranged attack it incurs a -4 to hit penalty. This penalty may be removed with a ranged disarm feat if the feat is allowed here. A perception ranged version of the attack would of course hit automatically. The second part is an opposed check of your attacks damage bonus Vs. the wielders strength. This is the difficulty with Move object in this application. It has no damage bonus unless the damageing extra is purchased. Additionally if the attack is with a ranged attack or weapon the item is knocked out of their hand not taken by the disarmer. This all leads to the kinda odd situation that Move Object has a great deal of difficulty grabbing a weapon out of someones hand. I think it would not be unreasonable to houserule/interpret that move object can make a disarm as if it was an unarmed attack with a bonus equal to the move object rank (not rank x 5). This follows the model of Move Object being used for grappling without the ability of useing the damaging option of a succesful grapple check.

Now came the hard part, well hard for Mike at least. "Well, its Erin actually." He finally said. "I don't know when or where things are going with Alex but ... well there is something there." He sighed finding the entire subject awkward, he didn't want to sound like he was complaining about having to choose between two girls but at least if his reputation was to be believed james would understand the basics of his dilema. "But Erin and I went out on a date the other day too. I think it went well and I was going to ask her out again before ... everything. But now I don't know that continueing something like that would be fair to her." he decided to explain the concern as cloasly as he could to Alexs explanation of the end of Mark and her Relationship.
-
Catching the nod Mike continued, "Well, it kinda made me realize a few things about Alex and my friendship, well I guess more my feelings for Alex." Mike was clearly nervous about the whole subject, "Mark and I've worked stuff out thankfully." The relief in his voice was clear. "Alex and him aren't dating anymore, but he seems ok with it." Mike realized he was dithering and refocused on the actual issue at hand. "Its really that the link Alex and I share is more than just talking you know. Its not really fair to anyone else because they can't have that same, I dunno, closeness I guess?" He sighed a heavy sigh, "I didn't relive until after I lost it how strong that connection realy is, I just thought of us as good friends ya know?"
-
Mike shrugged, hopefully Eddie would be distracted enough by his malfunctioning Ipods not to talk about how 'sweet' Nazi rule was. "Well Me, Mark, Erin and Chris all ended up in the other version of Freedom. Some scientists for the resistance there were trying to contact Hope I think." He explained clearly not understanding the intracacies of the process, "They said something interfered witht he signal and thats when it all went bad I guess, grabbing all of us up and dropping some of us on some Jappanese occupied island, whatever interferance there was also brok their teleporter." As he spoke he mostly addressed the school officials but made sure to speak loudly enough for the scientists to hear as well.

Mike smiled, "Thanks," He said quietly, "I couldn't really figure out who else to ask that wasn't either too involved or too ..." He paused trying to think of how to explain but decided that james would know what he meant regardless, "Too Eddie and Chris I guess." Mike liked them both of course and appreciated their advice even, but this was a bit more delicate a matter and delicacy wasn't really their thing most times. "So I suppose you head about the thing in the quad the other day?" He asked, it had of course been all over the school almost instantly. Mike was still getting used to the different way the other students looked at him after his display, he wasn't sure he liked it really.
-
Mike nodded it made sense but he still didn't think what he had done was excuseable. He generally didn't have a problem with his temper, he knew how devistating his anger could be if he didn't keep control. Something about the situation had cut through all of that though and really left him doubting if he really was in control at all. At his mention of Alex Mike blushed deeply, "Well, ahhh, yea, I definately should have explained things between us better I guess." he stammered.

Mike goes to James for advice on girls.
-
After waiting around most of the morning at James room Mike decided to look elsewhere for his erstwhile friend. After asking around a bit, luckily James more socially outgoing nature meant he was noticed around campus, he managed to catch up to him as he crossed the gardens after one of his classes. Hurrying slightly to catch up he spoke up, "Hey James you have a few minutes? I kinda wanted some advice."
-
Mike flinched slightly at the comment, "Well if she was trying something she succeeded but that doesn't really matter I shouldn't have reacted that way even if her story had been beliveable." Mike looked down clearly ashamed, "I can't really explain it but it is at least part my fault." He said morosely. Mike shrugged his broad shoulders as he let out a big breath. He looked back to Mark emotion clear on his face, "I mean Daisy can lie like the best of them but I know you better than that, and that should have won out, but for some reason that just made me more angry." He shook his head trying to piece together exactly what had driven him to such ends.
-
Mike sat back down facing his roomate and friend, "Well I just, uhm, kinda get the sense that things are not really resolved." He glanced up to the shelf for a secodn as he spoke. Mike decided to lay it all out at that point, "Look you're pretty much my best friend, and I screwed up pretty bad, I know you know I'm sorry and if thats not enough I understand." He said looking worriedly to Mark, he really hoped that wasn't the case. "I mean I'll be sad but its on me anyway so ... yea." He ended lamely, he had to at least try to work out whatever was still wrong even if it didn't work out in the end he owed Mark and himself that much he felt.
-
Mike shrugged and put the book back up on the shelf. "Don't worry about it, might knock some sense into me yet." He said with a weak smile. About a dozen abortive small talk subjects rushed through Mikes mind but when it came down to it he didn't like talking around the subject. "You have a couple minutes to talk about the other day?" He finely asked not wanting to force the issue if Mark wasn't really ready.

For Arrowhawk and Blink, Scarletti is the name of a mafia sub family currently a stones throw from all out war with The Vaslev Family tensions have been building for several months, with increaseing violence on both sides.
-
Tony went immediatly to Natashas side when Dark Star brought them back, "Tasha, are you ok?" He said stareing soulfully into her eyes. Natasha clung to his neck desperately not speaking. Still holding his beloved he glances over his shoulder to Dark Star, "Anthony Scarletti." He introduces himself gruffly. His eyes flash to Arrowhawk, "Yea that was the plan but someone told someone what we were doing. I don't know how they knew where we were heading but its over now, no way we can get clear with them looking for us."

So AA where are you leading folks? To Necromancers you know?

Closed thread where Mark and Mike work out thier differences from Some Girls.
-
Mike had been avoiding the issue for a few days but he knew he had to face Mark and sooner was probably better than later. He had appologized right after his talk with Alex of course but neither of them were really all there for that conversation. He knew he still felt baddly about the whole thing and if the spate of freak accidents around campus, blessedly minor, was any indication Mark hadn't bounced back nearly as quickly as Alex had thought he would. So he had cancled on one of his schedualed Doom Room sessions with Archer to hopefully catch up with Mark in their room. He waited idley flipping through a textbook, trying unsuccesfully to appear nonchalant, for Mark to get back from his class.
-
Mike shrugged and stepped forward, "I'm sure Mark and I can explain what happened with our group, and Alex is probably the best source for the others." He said knowing Erin and Hope should get out while they could and Eddie talking more at this point was a bad idea. He figured James and Chris could be trusted to decide on thier own if thy had more to share.

Mike/Phalanx does not have a costume at this point.
-
Mike looked awkwardly at his fellow students, "Uhmmm I didn't see any Grue ... Mostly Nazi robots and well regular Nazis I guess." He said with a shrug. He edged closer to Eddie, the boys mouth was gonna get him in trouble, likely sooner rather than later.

Ok Music geeking incoming, You have been warned. Playing to showcase another performer is actually more difficult than just showing off yourself. Realy the rest of the band woudl likely realize that he's playing a solid backup to her solo more than not having his heart in it. Given the performance skills all around I would say everyone involved would recognize that but its pretty standard in more informal performances like this one.
-
Mike was quite happy when Zoe started her impromtu solo, not only was it actually quite good it also was a pleasant distraction from all the underage drinking. He planted himself on the couch to watch and listen as the band started up thier first few songs. He was honestly surprised at how talented they all were, he was no expert but he hadn't expected much. They were his friends and all so he had come to support them, he was surprised that they actually were quite good he had kindof assumed that was just Eddie talking up his latest project.

The group of new friends got to know eachother better int he traditional teen ritual of toppings debate and time spent socializing over a few slices. As the evening went on it didn't take long for Jadon and Eddie to drift into conversation about a possible band. Who knew what the future would hold.
