Ace carefully crept up to the back of the building as Colt issued his ultimatum, peeking in through windows trying to track where the actual gang members were. Inside however was rather chaotic as the residents of the building hurridly gathered children and pets to huddle in more secure rooms, well aware of the destruction a show down like this could result in. The gang members themselves were prepared to deal with this interloper in thier traditional fashion. Several drew assorted firearms and took up position inside while the braver, or more fool hardy piled out onto the dead grass in front of the building weapons raised threateningly. The biggest of the group, shirtless and covered in the trademark tatoos of time spent in prison, called out derisively, "Why don't you just run on back to your little house on the prarie Jim Bob." while brandishing a cheap automatic pistol in Colts direction.

In response to Blinks whispered plan she nods and grips Blinks hand slightly harder. She looks to her compaion still screaming obscenities at Arrowhawk nervously and clearly want to go to him but stays close to Blink for the time being.

The City in Peril? Ace is all over that ;)
-
Ace nodded and Vanished from sight in response. He quickly made his way around to the area of the tenement where he'd have both a good sight line on potential escapees and could easily be on scene if Colt needed help, or needed to be stopped for that matter.
-
Ace made a dismissive gesture Dime Bags direction and the dealer took off running. Turning back towards the tenement he replied, "Well we can try and stake the place out but theres more than two ways in and out." He sighed at the delapidated building, "But this guys no dummy he's not gonn just walk out to meet us." He looked to Colt questioningly, "Your job your call, but if a fight breaks out in there we'll be in a spot, most of the apartments are gonna be full of civilians, the Kings'll be hiding out in some, but no one in there is gonna risk telling us anything." He shrugged leaving the final call up to Colt.

Dime Bag trembled and cursed, "I can't tell you nuttin' man," He said his eyes fixed on the cocked pistol, "Yellow Kings'r untouchable, He could be at any of thier places, and no one is gonna get him out." While utterly terrified of Colt and giving up more than he intended by far, he was more afraid of what these gang bangers would do to him it seemed. That in and of itself was telling however, the dossier on the group put them pretty low ranked and not exceptionally violent at least as gangs went. Hard to explain what would so frighten a long time snitch like Dime Bag. Ace passively looked on, Dime bag clearly knew something more but whatever it was was a damn sight scarier than Colt. The Yellow Kings had something new going on it seemed. Finaly he looked to Colt, "D-Bag is more useless than usual, We'll find you're mark the hard way." His voice was loud enough to make clear to any who might be listening in that the dealer hadn't caved but Aces eyes were fixed on the tenement Dime Bag had been eyeing.

... It is not crappy misdirection he's mostly looking at the house like its gonna eat him if it notices him talking to you.

While certainly putting on a good show Colt seemed to be in full control. Hard to say what would happen with a tougher nut to crack but if he was as good as he thought he was he'd know putting informants in th hospital wasn't a good way of keeping in the loop. Dime Bag eyed the raised pistol warily, "Man that dudes crazy, I don't want to know him." He replied, "He find out I ratted him out he'll have me vanished man." The whole time he spoke he eyed a dilapidated tenement down the block.

Since she was specifially whispering I'm gonna say yes. Its only gonna be DC 10 though.
-
OK Ecal has said he's not attacking anything so we're out of combat. Also as a quick note this thread is going to turn into Blinks Heel Face Turn just so no ones too surprised when things change up a bit.
-
I'm pre-commited to Cy's Halloween deal but if there isn't a conflict I'll probably be there
-
Is this going to be a mostly social event or a giant mess like the last one? Barring other plot entanglements Phalanx is probably available.
-
I would just like to note that I think Shaen is completelly within reason to refuse to ever look at breakdowns sheet :D
-
Thats my understanding but I could be wrong. I think thats the benefit of being able to choose to take the fatigue or the Device to on Devices. Ace checking to see how serious Colts threat is Sense Motive (1d20+10=20)
-
Dime Bag took a step back the fear in his eyes growing, "N-n-n-ow, No need for that man." He stammered nervously eyeing the pistol in Colts hand. "What're ya looking for?" Ace merely cocked his head and observed Colt do his work. It wasn't a surprise that Dime Bag rolled, it was in his nature, and much of what made him so usefull on the street instead of behind bars.
-
I'm good with it for this thread but for future reference since its equipment I think it has to take the fatigue from extra effort not you. Sense motive Vs. Intimidate (1d20+4=7) He caves.
-
Dime Bag stared up at Colt with the standard two bit hustler mix of terror and bravado, some things aparently didn't change between dimensions. He was about to bolt when Ace appeared on the other side of him, "Relax D-Bag, This is Colt he has a couple questions for you." Aces smile never touched his eyes as he spoke. For his part the hood turned to Colt with a look of false bravery and said loudly, "I ain't tellin you nuttin." But Colt could already see the fear in his eyes.
-
Well there were several option but rather thn risk exposing one of his closer confidants Ace opted for easily bribeable. "Theres a dealer over on washington, goes by Dime Bag, He's not a king but they sometimes source him." Ace said, "He's a greedy little coward so he'll talk if he knows anything."
-
Mike nodded begining to understand and layed one big hand on her shoulder, "I'm sorry Alex," He replied simply, "Marks a good guy I'm sure he'll come around." He was less certain his own behavior would be forgiven but that was something he'd have to deal with later. He gave her shoulder a gentle sqeeze and pulled her into quick hug. He didn't really know what more to say, the morninghad been an emotional rollercoaster and Mike, generally at least, wasn't one for rash decisions.
-
Ace pointed to a rare undeveloped plot of land just off some of the main streets, "Down there, try to keep our arrival at least somewhat sureptitious." Ace replied. Once safely on the ground Ace dismounted and with a nod said, "I gotta get me something like that. That one handy piece of machinery you have there." He walked out onto the street and glanced around to be sure of his bearings, "Kings territory is about a block east of here, good a place as any to scare up some rumors."
-
Mikes head jerked up at that, "You don't have to do that!" The words were out of his mouth before she even really finished, "Oh ... it seemed like everything was going good between you two." Apparently better then he even knew, his face flushed slightly at the thought. Mike shook his head to clear the thoughts and refocus, "Like Zoe said nothing says anything has to change between us."
-
Mike frowned at that, "I knew they were dateing." He sighed and shrugged there was a glimer of anger but quickly surpressed, "I didn't think ... I dunno I thought Zoe was smarter than that I guess." He shook his head he didn't really know what to think about all of this. He knew Eddie was one of those kinda guys, the boy couldn't stop talking about girls, but really Mike was not so tuned in as to realy know much beyond that. "Eddies not a bad guy I guess but I can't say I'm surprised, that kinda stuff is important to him in the wrong way ya know?" He explained, he was clearly still considering having a few words with Eddie about how to treat a lady but really he didn't need to cause any more trouble.
