Ok Avenger and Phantom can tell he has some kind of ulterior motive for wanting to access the terminal.

The punch took the young man squarely on the jaw, his head snapped back and he collapsed to the ground at Arrowhawks feet with a resounding thud. The young woman freshly wakened by Dark Stars ministrations called out, "Tony! no!" and to a half step towards the unconcious youth.

Toughness save (1d20+2=14) KO'd Dark Star and Edge notice that the escaeping thug was being quite cavalier with that energy rifle someone could get hurt. Arrowhawk takes not that the thugs worked with almost military efficiency and all of them always used tight controlled bursts during the fighting, the random spraying is clearly a ploy to draw the heroes away for some reason. Edge is up.

Stumbling out of the cloud the leader of the thugs manages to clear the tear gas out of his system enough get a steady shot. He opens fire unleashing a bright red ray of energy that he tries to sweep over Dark Star and Edge however the intrepid heroes manage to evade the blast. His last ditch effort to get Blink clear a failure he bolted down the ally fireing a few parting shots that scored the side of the buildings as he went. Hopefully he could draw the heroes away from the target long enough for the contractor to fulfill the mission.

Seeing his Girlfriend gunned down while trying to flee, the man in the car lets out a howl of animal like rage and leaps from the car trying to throw Arrowhawk to the ground. The nimble archer is however too fast for the untrained youth and easily sidesteps the tackle.

Mike frowned slightly at what he took to be the flippant treatment of Zoe's obvious trauma. He glanced down from where he was trying to clean the walls. He stared at Eddie for a long moment, "I don't know alot more than you do honestly." He said plainly. "We were downtown at the library and those freaks from the baseball game were pulling somethign with the computers there." Mike explained, "We got into it with them out front by the courthouse, Zoe came out of nowhere and took one of em down." He stopped with the rather fruitless attempt at getting the wall clean and elaborated, "She knew all of us right off the bat, which was wierd, then tried to explain the whole thing." He shrugged not sure how much to tell Eddie but given it was Eddie better he know than not and accidently set her off or something. "Anyway," Mike continued, "She thinks she's from like a alternate dimension or something, she knew all of us there we were friends and stuff, Alex was like her sister or something but she wasn't telling the whole story." Mike didn't want to say she had been lying but there were alot of holes in the story. "She did say something about a bomb going off, everyone there being dead, I think that just kinda hit her again now that she slowed down enough to let it. Supposedly she told Summers the whole story, Erin went with her." Mike left it at that he didn't really want to pry too deep into what was going on with Zoe she'd tell them when she was ready he figured. "Eddie," He looked down in concern as he spoke softly, "I think you should just let it go till she tells you whats up, she'll get around to it I'm sure when she's ready." Mike knew the last thing he would have wanted was Eddies good natured 'help' it'd only be slightly less irritating than Mark saying it was all going to be fine now.

The villian shook off the last of the pollens effects and as his mind cleared he realised just how much trouble he was in. This most certainly was not part of his plan but never let it be said Dr. Vaslev Tcheny couldn't think on his feet, "Well I'll have to use the controls if I'm to free your friend he replied. If the device is not shut down in the propper order it can be quite dangerous." He did however keep his hands free from the devices at his belt as he nodded towards the bank of control panels.

Dr. Tcheny is still stunned Fluer is up once more.

Mike waited throught the awkward silence that followed as his friends stared at him in vague confusion and disbelief. He glanced around uncomfortably uncertain what exactly he had said wrong then tried to clear it up. "Look," He said, "If that is the kind of relationship I want with Alex and I don't even really know if it is now isn't really the time." He didn't like to spell it out but he was self aware enough to know he wasn't really in much condition to be dateing anyone even someone as understanding as Alex. He sighed as he continued, "I mean if things did go that direction then it turned out that one or the other of us didn't really want that it woudl get wierd, wouldn't it?" He paused to atke a deep breath after the inquirey, "Besides she's going out with Mark tonight, He's a good guy and a friend I'm not gonna get in the way of that, if its meant to be it'll work out eventually." The last was more hope than anything after their talk so far he was begining to doubt some of his convictions, he may well have missed his shot after all what could he offer that Mark couldn't?

The kick caught the man squarely in the chest knocking him out as he flew several feet back from the impact. The mobster who had tried to subdue the lithe beauty began to struggle to his feet though fromt he look on his face he was more inspired to flight than fight at this point.

Phalanx took the lead just in case there was company waiting on their way to the Seahawk. "Who cares why it gonna blow up lets just out of here before it does." He said as he started moving up the stairs. He wasn't so much concerned for Wander and himself they likely could surrvive the blast but while Geckoman might recover and Edge might manage to get blown clear it was n't really something he was willing to bank on.

The crazed scientist raised Phantoms battered body with geasture as beams shot forth from his weapon hefting the weakly strugling Heroine. He flung her at Steshas feet with a wicked smile not noticeing the flower slowly growing behind him. "Now you see my MIGHT! MY BRILLIANCE!" He raved, "Give in now or suffer the fate of your friends what hope do you have against the power at my command little girl?" He asked menacingly. At Fluers feet Phantoms crumpled form slowly struggled to snap out of it drops of her blood slowly dripping onto the grilled faceplat of avengers mask. "ALL WILL BOW DOWN BEFORE MY ...." his statement was cut off as the plant behind him released a cloud of pollen that slid seamlessly past his defenses and he trailed off with a large yawn as he struggled feebly to remain awake.

With a mad glint in his eyes the man raised his weapon one more. "Don't test me girl." He growled as he unleashed a powerfull torrent of high frequency sound directly at Taylor. The energy crashed into her forcefield with amazing power, it was certainly no disintegration beam but he wasn't playing any games either.
