It hadn't taken Ace long to get to Taylors apartment, though making sure the area was clear of watchers had taken a bit more time. Secure that no one was observing he quickly bypassed the apartments minimal security to see just what kind of damage there was. After being tracked to her home she's likely have to move regardless but he hoped the place wasn't entirely unsalvagable. Other than the normal level of disarray the apartment looked normal untill he reached the bedroom. Whoever had gone after her was deffinately not too interested in keeping his activities quiet. He set about stripping the bed down and mentaly went over his contacts. This would have to get cleaned up by a pro or else the police would get involved and that just wouldn't do. Once he had given the beddign a once over he pulled out a suitcase and began carefully packing some of the items he remembered Taylor holding onto as favorites that she wouldn't give up the last time he had visited her home. Just enough to get her through the week or so till other arangements could be made, but clean up would have to come before movers. He set the fedora and bomber jacket, clearly favorites, off to the side to make sure they came as well.

Well only kinda a waste You notice a sudden spike and change in the gravtic fluxuations throughout the walls the energies seem to be specifically ressonant with those of your own form and serve to make those walls as solid to you as to anyone else. You also notice a sudden build up of intense gravtic energy right behind you (have an HP for his concealment working despite your senses)

I'm going to guess he was using this [Main power: Blast 3 (lightning bolt; Extra: Area-Line; Flaw: Range/Touch)] Which would be a 5 foot wide 30 foot long area effect. Anyone caught in it will get a DC 13 reflex save followed by a DC18 Toughness save if they failed or a DC 16 Toughness save if the succeded.

As Dark Star rises through the floor the ambient gravtic flux from the device abates enough that his senses are finally able to pierce the advanced composites of the device entrapping Avenger. The Device has an internal cylindrical chamber nearly ten feet in diameter and of the same height. At the center of the chamber stands Avenger in full costume looking down at his own spread hands. There are powerful energies swirling around the Hero but thier exact purpose is beyond Dark Stars understanding. this is a highly advanced peice of technology unlike anything he has seen before but its purpose is for the time being a mystery, the energies it is capeable of generating are certainly dangerous to the occupant with prolonged exposure however. As all of this is revealed the screens around the room flicker to life displaying Avengers alter ego Jack Farretti and others in a familiar yet alien setting.

I'm done here too though Ace will be closely monitoring the investigation here as well as Malices incarceration/Trial but all that seems like threads for laters.

"Well," Ace said with a smile as danced lightly from foot to foot, "I was under the impression this was for times that wasn't an option." He waited for what seemed quite awhile before making his move. But when he made his move it was quick and deliberate, his hand snaped out at great speed his fingers parting at the last second then closed ever so lightly around her throat, his thumb sliding almost sensually along her jugular. OK Doc has spoken Infernal is a type of magic so it will effect Avenger. DC 16 reflex and DC 21 or 18 Toughness saves needed for the burning. Ok his fire control however is Fire descriptor not infernal so all is good carry on. Angel is up.

No one else visible you don't see Avenger but you do see the device that he stepped into.

Yea that works fine its a +3 toughness save but has a chance sisnce she has no force field while insubstantial

Ace took a step back and made a few corections to Steshas stance as well. "You take up your stance as soon as you think you need to. If done right it will make you look like you are ready for a fight which is not exactly looking for one." He said simply. He beconed Stesha over to where he stood, "Now then take a swing at me, don't worry about hurting me I assure you I've had worse." he said as he dropped once more into his loose stance but with arms raised this time. They both had a passable idea of how to hold themselve now for some more intricate lessons.

Do they have Effects insubstantial? She has Insubstantial 4, so unless its an effects insubstantial effect or Fire (her vulnerability) they don't effect her.

Ok you don't know the specifics of how it works but you do know the basic specs. The technology is supposed to be able to project black holes to a range of around 2-3 light years. The holes generated can become self-sustaining if there is sufficiant mass near the singularity point but generally will disapate within hours of generation. The Lor Empire ran the progect for a number of years as a possible interdiction technology (Drop one on a grue fleets course, no more grue fleet) But discontinued the project when they discovered that the power requirements of the device were on the order of a colapsing star, within their means to generate in a limited fashion but not cost effective in any way. You can definately tell the device is incomplete but you are not certain what it is lacking. If they were to bring it online however it could have ramafications on a galactic scale. Also this does not appear to be coppied Lor technology but independant develepment of similar technology.

As he extended his senses upwards two things became immediatly apparent to Dark Star. Firstly the facility seemed like a permanent one still under construction. Much of the operating equipment was fully functional but expanses of cableing and ductwork were still exposed revealing some impressive technology. The second was that the central system of this facility was what appeared to be technology the Lor Empire had discarded as unworkable, a Black Hole Projector.

Are all of the Magical subtypes considered to automatically be of the broader catagory they are a part of? Specifically does infernal(Like those of a demon, not just an infernalist mage) as a descriptor/origin of a power mean it is stopped by effects that block magic or can bypass defenses vulnerable to magic?

Hmm I'll check on it it seems like Hellions powers would still be a sub-category of Magic which Avengers impervious is flawed not to include but that seems like it might have ramifacations beyond what I want to make the call on.
