Yea I'll get on kicking Shaen in the shins again till he posts :)

They are more spread out than that theres probably 3 (not including the leader) that are that close together. Also they are all still in the obscure effect so have full concealment so you could try and guess where they landed but unless you have a non-visual accurate sense or some way of countering the obscure chances are not good.

Mike shook his head as he finished chewing. "Nah," He explained, "I don't really see how it woudl work. I mean I guess if we did in school teams but even with that I'm still above the curve on several key areas, whats the point if its not basically fair?" Mike liked the idea of doing sports more than any of them really appealed, the camraderie of a team working together and all that. But without even competition it seemed kinda pointless. "You?" He asked curiously. Erin didn't really seem the jock type despite the prodigeous physical abilities.

Ace laughed softly, "We all have to start somewhere Stesha." He said kindly. "We'll get you well kitted out, you'll be the proverbial belle of the ball when next that bee obsessed freak shows up." He added with a wink. Clearly he had done some homework on her escapades to have found out about her limmited engagements with the Bee Keeper, but it was Aces way he liked to know what he was getting into when he started working with people. It wasn't unlikely that the others involved in Moiras planned rescue would soon face similare scrutiny. He made a mento note to have a nice mask delivered in the next few days, a hint of things to come.

"Oh yea its a for credit elective and everything." Mike said, "I don't think anyone else is gonna be taking it, I mean eddie might be into the sound tech end but I haven't talked to him about it." Mike didn't really think Eddie would be interested, probably woudl be a bit below him as he was like a pro and everything. "I'm looking forward to it, I've always liked working with my hands." He said, the fact that he left unstated that it was a nice counter to how good he was a breaking stuff was real progress his therapists would have been proud.

Mike was about to suggest he hold out for back up when james vanished once more. He hopped out of the car and began scouting around for some sign of an entrance. His utter lack of training however somewhat impeded his progress and he looked to the others, "We don't even know what kinda traps might be down there we should try from this end too." He said. Clearly subtlety was not really something Mike did.

"Well enjoy the weekend getaway then." Ace said with a knowing smile. It was good to know there was something more to the ephemeral hero Stesha seemed a good match and Ace could feel moiras hand in that particular relationship, she was after all her mothers daughter regardless of plane of residence. "Next Saturday woudl be excelent I'll make arangements." He said happily, "The costume can serve many purposes I assure you that your new one will serve your needs better than a sweatshirt and mask." He added with a wink.

There is a cacauphony of grunts and thump followed by a lound clang as the thugs and car fall from the sky. Dark Stars gravtic sense reveal that the majority of the thugs seem to have handled the fall without difficulty though three land poorly and lose conciousness. As the wave of radiation eminates outward from Dark Star the targeted weapons heat up in their wielders hands, the simple automatic the young man has been using jams and he drops it with a curse. Unfortunately the advanced polymers and casing of the alien weapons seem resistant to the energies poured forth and remain unharmed. Moments later the apparent leader of the unruly bunch can be heard shouting, "Get the wounded and get clear we'll regroup at rendezvous alpha."

Thug Leader uses acrobatics for instant up then moves out of the smoke fireing a stun blast at Dark Star 1d20+5=16, 1d20+8=27 Thats Failure on the instant up so instead he will Order the others into action... after standing up. 1d20+8=28, 1d20+8=18, 1d20+8=28, 1d20+8=18, 1d20+8=26, 1d20+8=15, 1d20+8=28 Toughness save DC 20 for falling Four are fine 3 are KO'd Thug leader Acrobatics followed by toughness. 1d20+5=25, 1d20+8=15 Acrobatics drops the DC to 19 so he recieves a bruise. The guns take 10 for a toughness save of 25 (advanced polymers equivalent of titanium) and are fine. (the kids gun heats up and jams he drops it) Car takes 10 on its toughness and is bruised suspension may need some help soon but its drivable. People in the car are jostled but unharmed.

A flicker fo shock breifly passed over Aces face as Stesha described her costume, though given who she was talking to there was no telling if it was true shock or feigned for effect. "Well I'm sure we can do better than that." He said with slight amusement, "The best way to avoid notice is to have a stark departure from your civilian identity actually, thats a big reason for the flashy costumes it detracts from taking note of features." "When is your next day off? I'll make an appointment for you with a proffesional." He asked earnestly.
-
Ace nodded as the conversation began to take form. "And those are precisely the kind of contingencies that are often overlooked. There is also the chance that with proliferation of super-powered individuals there will be a concurrant rise in super-powered crime, all facets of the issue are relivant in this discussion." He explained, his primary goal and purpose here was as a facilitator if a mind such as his could soleve these issues these panels would not be needed after all. "So What are the likely and unlikely impacts of this rise if it is in fact an accurate assumption that such a phenomenon exists?" He posed the question to the group curiously, it was rare for even as well connected an individual as Ace to spend time witht he sheer volume of intelect this room contained.

Ok Blink edited her post Go ahead when ready Cy And to get this out of the way ahead of time Blink lets have a stealth check because DS has senses uneffected by the smoke.

"I dunno, Eddie, But you're right somethings off." Mike said his gaze flicked to Alex as he asked 'You notice people acting kinda wierd? Like they're in slo mo almost.' He moved in closer to his friends in case the sinister scene manifested more directly prepared to defend his friends if this was more than just paranoia. He stood to his full height and peered over the heads of the crowd keeping alert for signs of what was going on.
-
Mike not so subtlely looked away from the new couples affectionate displays, he told himself his discomfort was over the public display not the affection itself, regardless of what Chris and Eddie said he didn't care about Alex and Mark dating. "Mall could be interesting," He said, "I got a few things I should pick up before classes start." He glanced around seeming to confirm Alexs head count then added, "We taking James car?" and after a brief pause "Shotgun."

Yea Car is also up in the Air. You can edit to port into the back seat if you like.
-
Random shots are random panicy teens are panicy. Thug leader holds his action for the time being. Dark Star is up.
-
Several more bullits fromt eh panicing youths gun fly throught the smoke ricochetting off the street and shooting out at least one street lamp the young woman seems to have her head on a little more straight and is screaming, "Stop it you idiot they'll kill you." Other than that there is earily little noise coming from the cloud.

1d20=20 Mike goes as fast as he can

"Not exactly sure." Mike said with a shrug, he'd been unawar that they had this kind of program untill one of the advisors suggested it as an elective. Between bites he explained what he knew, "Mostly set building I think, some backstage stuff, might have to run lights or soemthing. We are a pretty small school so I imagine theres alot of overlap."
-
Ace shrugged non-commitally, "Probably not much use, for beings of such vast power they really are quite powerless to do anything to your family. Most likely we would even add such a caveat to any deal we strike with them." He explained succinctly, Ace felt the whole secret Identity thing was taken far to seriously by todays heroes as it was, the effort of actually hiding thier true selves from gods seemed even more ludicris. "Honestly if we do this right we won't have to go there at all, merely comunicate with them." Ace siad offering the beleaguered young woman some measure of hope.

Taking a quick look around to make sure he was unobserved Ace hid himself from the eyes and ears of men and moved into position to listen in on the mans conversation. Hopefully this was probative and not just an angry customer.
-
Ace moved with perhaps a bit less care than was really neccisary downt he creaking stairs after all if the kids ear fit hadn't alerted anyone they were probably deaf crooks. Sticking close to the kids incase things started to go south he listened carefully for trouble and waited on Grimalkins return.
