Mike frowned at the ensueing scuffle in vuage distatse but it did seem these ladies were not normal. Not yet willing to commit to full on manhandling of a woman Mike instead placed himsel between her and his friends, just in case. He also kept his eyes peeled for any witnesses as a group of some six odd teens grabbing two young ladies in an ally was not exactly the kind of thing one ignored.

Notice check to notice the mind control (1d20=8) Mike just don't know whats going on.

Mike glanced up at Erin and smiled as he replied "Yea I used to be totaly jelous that she had a pool when we were growing up. Course she'd just say I could fly so I still won out. At least till she figured out how to pull it off." He glanced around at the other teens uncertainly, he really was ratehr lost at what exactly they should be doing most birthday up till now had just been the two of them and some family. Mike could certaily tell this was a different social paradigm but not quite the same one they all shared at school.

Is it clear that Dee-Dee is mind controlled?

Whats the Save/DC on that Gravity field? I'm pretty sure Ace got caught in it.

Honestly at this point since Jack is MIA and I'm in like a TON of threads with Ace at the moment (almost all of them ont he verge of combat) I'm thinking i'd like to take it to gettign the goods on the guys and using my contacts with the police to arrange a bunch of arrests. Maybe be there for the big show down but I'm not feeling the need for a fight that was the part of the original thread that was aimed at JD

Skill mastery on Diplomacy to use Connected to get the owner of the restriced number that called him revealed is a 32. I'll use connected with -20, so he can't tell I'm asking about him, taking 20 on the check for a 20 minute time investment and a 22 result which is access to general through restricted information.

Ace strolled into the club and after a couple cursorry greetings to friends found a comfortable overstuffed chair and ordered a scotch on the rocks from the comely waitress as well as a copy of the Ledger. He had selected a spot with good visibility of the main entryway in case his tail was so bold as to inquire as to his identity there and began making a few calls to friends in the telecom buisness the was a number he needed to get unrestricted.

Hoping the husband is bright enought to listen to reason Ace continues to pursue the woman to try and get her to safety. With the assorted noises of the nearby disaster and relife effort he knows he has little chance of hearing her so instead moves from room to room looking for her wondering if its just the shock of the events or if there is something making these people behave so oddly.

Mike sat sullenly staring at Summers for several long moments. At that exact momment he hated the Headmaster for the question no matter how reasonable. He broke eye contact looking down to his lap and replied "Probably not, we got lucky and no one got hurt but even Mark can't always count on luck, it could have gone alot worse." A big part of him wanted to argue that it was the right thing to do, that they had a chance to help so they did but he also knew that they had put people in danger with their antics. He should have known better but he got caught up int he moment and risked far too much. Mike stood and walked to the door then looked over is shoulder to the headmaster "If you're just gonna tell me to pack my things I'd like to get an earlier start on it." he said to the headmaster but left the office none the less and took a seat at the far end of the foyer. He nodded to Eddie who was next on the bench and glumly motioned to the door.

Mike was well used to hauling the hevier bags for folks it kinda came as second nature so as they driffet towards teh back he shouldered the bag for Eddie and followed the group out to the well manicured back yard. Mike was more accustomed to the traditional Albright birthday of boardgames with alexs grandparents but lots seemed to change with a 16th birthday party he guessed. When they arrived he handed off the bag and headed for the refuge of the snack table before some one decided he needed to learn to dance which he knew could only end in tears. As he began to dig in he said to Alex "Your mom really outdid herself on the snacks." then continued to pack away food like really only a superpowered Teenage boy could.

This was defiantely not what he had expected when they had been called into the headmasters office for the days activities. A lecture, detention, even expulsion, but this inquery just left him feeling somehow exposed under the Headmasters firm gaze. "Well, we noticed the staff was missing and snuck a peek at the field." Mike sighed and shrugged "Thats when we saw what those jerks were up too." Mike wasn't one to blame anyone else for his mistakes so he had left out his suggestions that they leave the matter to the cops. He had gone along with Marks plan for good or ill and wasn't about to shirk the blame for his actions. "So Mark had a plan to keep the crowd safe and take the guys down, I dunno it sounded better than what I could come up with." Mike was easing into his explanation a little more comfortably now. "So we went in and took down a bunch of these little gremlin looking things and some robots that were up by the crowd." Mike didn't really want to go into detail about the fight itself so skirted the issue "Alex figured out how to disable their big hypno field thing." He glanced to the side for a second clearly uncomfortable with the next bit. When he spoke it was quiet and kind of sad, "They were using the Freedom-Tron for it some how so I knocked it down over by the parking garage where I figured there wouldn't be any people." Mike glanced up at the Headmaster apologetically "It seemed like the only way to stop the thing at the time." Mike shrugged "Anyway then we all took on the guys who started the whole mess and broke their machine." He left out the details of the fight still uncomfortable with that aspect. "The older one had this," He rolled the lightsaber across the desk before continueing "I was just gonna break it but I didn't know if it woudl explode or be radioactive or something."
-
Ace winked at the young hero and replied, "Ah you must've noticed the odd dearth of street people as well then." Ace turned to the others and inquired ,"Just rumors through the grapevine for everyone then? Or something more concrete?" He truely hoped some one had something more becasue even with Phantoms magic and the six of them searching it may be far too late when they finally put together what was going down.
-
Mike shifted uncomfortably for a moment under the piercing gaz of the Headmaster then spoke up, "We were late to the game, once we got there the whole weird field thing had already gone off and kocked evryone out or whatever." He glanced to the side then coninued "They were making all kinds of threats so we stopped em. I figure you already have seen most everything there was to see." Mike really didn't want to go into the details of the fight he was already rather unconfortable with what had happened.
-
Mike shruged and let out a sigh as he stood. He looked back at the others and stepped into Summers office with a grim countenance. Once inside he settled into the chair oposite Summers and eyed the headmaster warily. Mike didn't even really know why they had been called in but he was fairly certain it was not for the congradulatory talk Mark had been expecting. His mind was racing as to what would happen but he tried to let as little of that show on his face as he could. Once settled he waited for the Headmaster to speak.
-
Mike followed in grim silence with his fellows and slumpped heavily in one of the chairs outside the headmasters office while Mark went in. He looked to his fellow students and made a strained smile. "Hey it can't be too bad its not like we're repeat offenders or anything." His gaze traveled down the line of teens and flicked over chris where he added "Well not most of us." "So have you ever been called in for your extracuriculars?" He asked Chris hoping the older boy mihgt have some hint what they had in store for them.
-
Mike was wondering how exactly havign the adults there woudl cramp anyones style but eventually gave up. If he didn't know Mark as well as he had come to he would say he was trying to 'play' Mrs. Albright. As it was however he new Mark actually talked like that. He was wondering if anyone else was gonna show up. It'd be kinda sad if Mark was th only one to show most likely Erin had take the opportunity to ride in James car however so if they were running late it was probably due to that. Chris and Eddie well there was really no telling with those two. He shrugged putting the thoughts out of his head and suggested "Why don't we head out back till the others show up."
-
Mike sighed heavily, "It might not be so bad, I mean plenty of students must've done stuff once and awhile, right?" He asked hopefully "Is there even a rule about it at all?" Mike hoped it wasn't a big deal but in the end deep down he felt it would be. Oddly it mostly pised him off, he knew about holding back and not endangering people he did it everyday, and he had been nervous about the whole thing but the fact was they had done a good thing today. He settled back a grim cast to his features and waited for Chris to bring them down.
-
On the brief ride back to the school Mike inquired almost prophetically "So uhhh you think anyone at the school saw that?" He was hoping most were int he audiance and missed it but really there was little hope in his mind it wouldn't be all over campus by that evening. He just hoped they didn't get in too much trouble over it. He remembered sighning some paperwork on when to use powers or not but couldn't for the life of him remember any of it. He really had never expected it to come up.
-
Mike glanced around, "Nah it wasn't too bad getting it all set up." he said with a shrug. He stood by awkwardly as Mark hugged Alex not entirely certain if that was appropriate. "Yea you're the first to show, I figure the others'll be along soon enough." As he spoke Mike glanced upwards nervously expecting the Pitchoos arrival maybe James would show first and cause enough distraction with the mustang to keep things calm if Chris did show up in the Pitchoo. He knew how upset Alexs mom had been over the incedent at the Baseball game and wasn't sure how well the truce would hold if it was too keenly thrown in her face. Mike was a little confused by the question about her parents it was her birthday party why would they leave?
-
Mike called out "I'll get it." He wanted to make sure he could give warning if some one did show up in costume. Mike Swung the door open and seeing Mark on the stoop turned and motioned him inside gestureing roughly to the table with a few gifts on it already. He leaned in and quietly asked Mark "Hey you know what Chris' plan is? Mrs. Albright is a bit touchy about the hero thing." He seemed to think it was clear without saying why Chris would be a concern in this regard.
-
At Mrs. Albrights request Mike had dutifully shown up early to help with set up, and to keep Alex distracted from snooping out what her mom had put together. He really was doing much better with the former than the later however so the various streamers and decorations were hung in record time while Alex was able to ensure her mother hadn't snuck in a clown of some kind. Once the set up was finished he waited with Alex for their friends and classmates to arrive, he knew Mark was on the way and it was a safe bet Erin would be as well Chris had been cryptic which basically meant he would be there but might show up in costume and give Mrs. Albright fits.

Medicine check to stabalize (1d20+3=12)

Ace let out a curse quite out of keeping with his normally genteel exterior and dropped to the floor to trya nd see what she had done to herself. He knew it could well just be another trap and she certainly was one of the more vile villians he had faced in recent time but if she could be saved he woudl see to it that she would be. Crouching over her he quickly began checking what he could of her injuries and treating her with what supplies the room had on hand. He was tempted to call in the cops and paramedics but needed to be sure this wasn't another trick.

So was that roll for an attempted bluff or some other check? It just said it was a reroll on Invisible Castle. If an attempt at lying Ace will skill mastery his Bluff to counter with a 32. Though he does have a history of helping out lying Claremont students rather than turning them in :D
