Strength of will is based off wisdom, not charisma; charisma is force of personality. Really an explanation of how it is supposed to make you faster isn't as mcuh of a concern as to if it is balanced or not. Charisma is actually a good analog to int when it comes to balance as both are pretty much exclusively used for skill checks or straight abilitity checks. I woudl say if we consider speed of thought valid and fair then a charisma based version of the feat makes sense as well. Personally I'm not a fan of the various bonus swap feats they do lead to a more min/maxed style that I don't really like. Since this is only going to be a point benefit if you have a gap greater than +4 in your bonus between Dex and whatever swap your already looking at it only being applied to some pretty exceptionally high attributes. From a perspective of wanting so combat utility out of your charisma there are some really good feats that expand on the feint and similar mechanics that do pretty well with that.

Yea Ace is trying to bring Dark Star over and will be stopping to converse with the spartan and pompadour.
-
As he completed his turn Ace motioned to security to see to it that the interloper made a reasonably speedy exit. He hoped his information was accurate and this fellow would preffer a low profile exit to exposure, a risk but a calculated one much like the party itself. That matter dealt with he scanned the room to make sure his guests were comfortable, the party had kicked off well and more of the cities heroes were arriving regularly. Having missed several he began to make his rounds greeting the new arrivals as he went. Taking note of the listless floating of Dark Star Ace adjusted course to intercept the gravtic hero. "Dark Star, enjoying yourself I hope?" He asked as he approached Dark Stars ephemeral form. Ace's eyes scouted the room looking for a good conversation to bring the isolated hero into and with a smile he lit upon Pompadour and the Spartan. "Walk with me for a moment? There are some others I'd like to introduce you too." With that he began to make his way through the crowd.

Mike cast a dark look at his boisterous companion, that had been a low blow but really had he been expecting less? These kind of mind games had never sat well with Mike when the docs had been testing him and this would be no better apparently. The things adults decided were 'for our own good' baffled Mike but he had agreed to this testing and he would see it through regardless of how twisted they might be. As Magni spoke again Mike tried to refocus on the matter at hand and wash the images from his mind and was largely succesful. Hearing it was to be a tes of speed mike was more comfortable. Speed that couldn't be too bad worse case he gets banged up a bit or does poorly on their stupid test. Mike nodded at Magni and with grim determination told the older boy "Lets do this." and stood lightly on the balls of his feet ready to move.

Heres the four saves, Phalanx is also Fearless (Immunity fear effects) in case its actually a terrifying foe. Four will saves (1d20+3=9, 1d20+3=10, 1d20+3=4, 1d20+3=6)

Well I think since we allow solo threads and people to GM the threads that a character is in it seems that the double dipping is really the issue. I would say the best option for that is that you post separately for each character and understand that in threads that are capped you will likely be asked to only play one character if more players want in.
-
Mike closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath slowly exhaling. As the last of the breath left his mouth stood straight and nodded to Magni. He squared his shoulders with a hard look to the room and spoke "Ready as I'll ever be." He just hoped he was ready for what they might throw his way. Mike didn't know how much the researchers from ASTRO labs had shared but they certainly had known how to exploit his every fear as a child though he had eventually forced himself to not give them the pleasure of reacting it was never pleasant. He washed those thoughts from his mind as he focused on the matter at hand.
-
Mike grew more nervous as Magni spoke. Training was one thing but battle? The large teen peered from side to side as they walked down the oddly lit corridor and sighed. He had signed up for this when he joined the school he supposed. Magni at least wasn't in real danger from him so that wasn't a worry at least but the situation made him uncomfortable. Despite his reservations however he resolved that he'd do what was needed by the time they reached the large doors to the Doom Room. 'Wait' thought Mike 'Doom Room? Seriously?' It might not be exactly what he expected but it really did seem too late to turn back, and a small part of him wanted to test himself against a powerhouse like Magni. In the end he did balk for a moment but then with a determined breath he spoke his assent to Magni "No I'm good. No time like the present right?" and with that Mike stepped up to the doors though he paused uncertain if he should push or if they would open on their own.
-
Mike blinked in surprise at the vigorous greeting not to mention the actual content of the message. He had grown somewhat familiar with his RA's rather boisterous behaviors and odd speach patterns however in this case he was uncertain if the older students' grappling comment had been literal or figurative. None the less it was expected. After the results of the testing the previous day he had known it wouldn't be long before they wanted a more precise measure of his abilities. Mike nodded to Magni and grabbed his coat from behind the door. "Well nows as good as anytime I suppose." He said as he stepped out of the room. As Magni turned and began to reminisce about his own testing Mike made appropriate noises as he follwed the RA to the Administrative building. He wasn't too surprised as the testing facilities below the building were one of the worst kept secrets of the campus.

Well everyone at the party is a bit odd. You presented the invite so the assumption would be that you were a hero. Though if you kept a low profile on the way in they may not have put together who you are since your not in costume. Really up to you how the press would react to you though.
-
Probably both give then numbers of people with fame complications not to mention the nature of the party. Also that will make the various entries work best without extensive editing.

Ace nodded thoughtfully for a moment thinking over what was said and unsaid. He smiled warmly to Scarab, perhaps his expected lifespan would be less lonely than he originally surmised, interesting very interesting. "Well I hope we have oportunities to work together in the future, I believe we may have more in common than dashing fashion sense." He replied. His phone silently vibrated in his pocket and he Bowed tothe Scarab and indicated the table with the cannoli, "You have good sources my friend, right over there on the left." He pulled his phone out and glanced at it "I should take this enjoy yourself." He took a step back and answered the phone listening for a momment before thanking the person on the other end of the line. As he clicked shut his phone he spoke into the small mike on his collar and began peering over the heads of the crowd as best he could. Sighting the destinctive headwear of his quarry he glided through the crowd waiting for the Exile to break off from his angelic companion. At the first oportunity Ace slid seemlessly up to the interloper and with a hard smile spoke quickly and quietly his normally warm smile hardened to a razors edge, "I know you, I don't think I need to further explain that a man with your connections and associations isn't welcome at this event." Ace peered directly into the elderly mans eyes to get across the full gravity of his statements, "You've managed to keep a low profile so far so your free to leave unmolested. However," Ace gestured absently to the assembling heroes in the hall, "others may not be so gracious if they were to learn what you get up to in your free time." The threat was subtle but clear in the favor of peace Ace was willing to let him walk with a warning so long as he made a speedy exit. "I'll make excuses to your companion for you." Ace added as he began to turn away.

Don't forget swim :) -
Also I realize that my geography is bad and this should be in the Wading way forum as teh Pyramid Plaza Hotel would be the swankiest around. Sorry for the mix up and thanks in advance the kittens wil be delivered shortly :)

Seems fair to me that he would know that folks asking the right questions know what he's been up to. Though since well informed is a reactive I woudl think Ace wouldn't be know to have asked about him specifically right? Also for clarifacation from AA, Is exile wanted by the police/similar organizations? and is it on charges or for questioning? Ace isn't gonna try an arrest until he knows the guy is wanted. Otherwise he'll just be asked to leave and one of the assorted heroes here will be put on his trail.

As the Phantom appeared the paparazzi's cameras flashed furiously. This was not a common sighting and the manner was certainly enough to get some attention. Ace clicked closed his phone and took a step forward sticking his hand out in greeting "Hi, Captain Ace Danger," He takes her hand and deftly turns it to plant a delicate kiss on her knuckles. He stands and beams at her "Wonderful costume, a great look." His eyes catch for a moment on the glittering Jewel at her throat, 'now where have I seen that before' he asks himself as he turns to guide the heroine into the ballroom proper. As he turns back tot he receiving line Ace's face lights up at the sight of Grimalkin, "Welcome, Welcome, I was worried you wouldn't get the invitation in time." He said then added conspiratorially "You're a hard woman to find." He presents an arm "Ace Danger at your service," he greets her warmly "You've been busy to, solid work no wonder your all they can talk about down your way." He adds with a broad smile. He walks her into the ballroom and points out a few others who she might find engaging companions before he once more turns to his hostly duties in time to see the Scarab passing his doorman. "Scarab, Well Scarab two I suppose is somewhat more accurate but you do honor the name." He speaks as if unsurprised by the arrival, "I was worried you'd not come and you deserve to be here. Thank you for being here." He offered a hand, "I met your predecessor once, It was a sad loss for us all when he fell, but as they say from the ashes arise something new, yes?" He sweeps his hand to the ballroom with a flourish "Have fun, its a party."

Well I know he's a villain the question is if the Police want him so I hold him or if I just give him the boot and let his known hero companion know what naughtiness he gets up to.
-
Once I ID him using connected to find out if he's wanted for anything as exile or the name he gives at the door. Diplomacy to use connected to find out if exile is wanted for crimes or questioning. this is without attractive( 4) or Wealth ( 6). (1d20 12=16)
-
Just throwing this out there but Craft structural to try and see if the gym can take the strain when we see the machines. (1d20 2=15)
-
Mike sighed heavily remembering his last round of strength testing and wasn't looking forward to further exploration but at least his time they wouldn't be trying to figure how he worked just how strong he was. He shrugged as he left the wall and moved to follow the coach. "So this has been cleared right?" He asked, "Is the gym even reinforced enough to take the strain? I don't want to start off my career here breaking the rules and the gym." He added hesitantly. He glanced at the other students with a shrug "I mean I don't think any of us do."

Mostly due to my own confusion. I say Plaza as in the Plaza Hotel a generic fancy shmancy hotel that I figured would be in midtown. I wasn't even thinking of Pyramid Plaxa or the hotel there. I suppose it could be in the Pyramid Plaza hotel ballroom but that woudl require a mod to move the thread which I'm fine with too. For all the detail on some stuff the geography of freedom is a little sparse actually.
-
well its desighned to get folks to meet so that new relationships can start up.
-
So the thread has started. I'm willing to just leave it open at this point so head over to midtown to join in the fun. Legit entry is possible for any hero who has been active or anyone who can get in as a guest of such a hero. Known villians will be stopped, likely with force as the hall is filling with assorted heroes, make sure to explain how your getting in if you're not an active hero who would have an invite (Guest, sneaking, assaulting). If any villians plan on crashing the party not so sneakily (Vestige I'm looking at you ) Let me know ahead of time cus I believe we have to get a ref involved if we head into PvP.
-
Not sure if its an issue but Psyche was sent from claremont with Quark for this and she didn't arrive at claremont till may 26th.
-
So some confusion seems to have cropped up. the party is held at the Plaza Hotels grand ballroom not Danger Manor.
