Cyprus bellowed in outrage as the plasts of sound and cold reverberated off his corpsen shell, the plants inside his form just as dead as the rest of him, infused with the swamps power and anger with even less of the man that once was. The writhing vines sickened and cracked drying under Fleurs defoliating potency releasing their victims to withdraw back on themselves defensively. Velocity was left in the muck but freed as the vines around her broke under her strains and those with some life yet in in them retreated. Ice crusting his back though not slowing his assault Tom roared and the earth shook as he charged toward the floral heroine that had undone his pets. Mud splashed from his footfalls as he bor down on her rearing up to smash his fists down upon her. If not for light feet and a steady eye she might have been struck a dangerous blow as earth sprayed up inder the titanic force of his attack. Missing seemed only to further feed the beasts rage as he thrashed about looking for his next target.

Tom will charge at Fleur and try to smash. Attack: 1d20+13=16 I do not think that hits. Round 1 54 - Velocity 4HP Unharmed; Bound and Helpless Due to Grapple 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Staggered, Disabled and Dazed; Drain Toughness -7 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Staggered, Disabled and Dazed 19 - Fleur de Joie 3HP Unharmed 17 - Gabriel 6HP Unharmed 16 - Comrade Frost 1HP Unharmed; 10 - Tom Cyprus ------ Injured x 1 9 - Gaian Knight 3HP Unharmed 3 - Tiamat ------ Unharmed 0 - Zombus Minions Legion Gaian Knight is up. @Fox

We'll say that does catch him flat footed. So Toughness Save VS DC 27 = 1d20+20=33 He weathers it however.

Tom as a construct has to save with Reflex: 1d20+11=22 So he baaaaarely makes it. Round 1 54 - Velocity 4HP Unharmed; Bound and Helpless Due to Grapple 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Staggered, Disabled and Dazed; Drain Toughness -7 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Staggered, Disabled and Dazed 19 - Fleur de Joie 3HP Unharmed 17 - Gabriel 6HP Unharmed 16 - Comrade Frost 1HP Unharmed; 10 - Tom Cyprus ------ Injured x 1 9 - Gaian Knight 3HP Unharmed 3 - Tiamat ------ Unharmed 0 - Zombus Minions Legion Comrade Frost is up. @Avenger Assembled

Kam knew he was going to pay for the unguarded reaction, that might matter if he'd had any ability not to have had the reaction. He clearly did not. Shooting Janus a warning glare he briefly considered if he might be able to spin this as nationalist interest in her arm. He could not particularly not after his sister and Elizabeth joined in he let out a sigh and whispered, "Keep it down." through gritted teeth. "I most certainly can." he replied to Elizabeth. He wasn't sure how exactly he might prevent their meddling but he was stalwartly going to declare it in his power regardless of the truth. He buried his face in his hands as Àjàṣorò mentioned thier mother and shook his head, "It's not." he paused uncomfortably, "Like, that." he insisted. It most certainly was like that. His eyes grew wide as his sister suggested introductions, "Don't you dare." he answered more firmly, that at least was a line in the sand as it were and he let out a relieved sigh as the woman in question vanished into the administration building. Fixing his gaze finally on Elizabeth who for the moment seemed the safe option to engage on the topic of his nascent love life he took a deep breath and shook his head, "She is not, and I have no idea if she reciprocates." he paused heavily a curious look on his face for a moment, "I am in fact uncertain why she would even be here." Kam added mostly to himself then looked up at the others, "I have worked with her on a few occasions." he explained quietly, "In costume" he added quietly which was to say she had no idea who he was and likely thought him an adult not a student and certainly not a prince of a near magical land halfway around the world.

It looks like that's single target, though with split attack so you can split the 13 ranks between two targets if you wish. the Writhing masses are certainly targets, Tom is enough corpse and malevolence not to be valid. The Zombies probably could be effected enough but aoes would do you more good and they're under control for the round. So you can decide if you want to target one or split the power between both writhing masses.

Undead flesh and swamp muck alike collapsed beneath Velocity's barrage of blows. The speedy hero was not so much seen as her handiwork, where the blur of her motion went swamp zombies collapsed into the muck unable to avoid the rapid strikes of their fleet footed foe. In practically a blink of an eye the zombies seemed driving back to the ground, felled if not finished. As she rebounded off their apparent master Velocity could feel the crunch of bone and sinew knowing her blow had more than struck home the enraged madman bellowing in pain and anger. It seemed for a moment that this doomed assault would be over before it even truly began, the zombies though twitched and slowly began to rise once more in their intractable flood. Reacting almost as an extension of Toms Rage a mass of vines launched toward the speeding heroine barely finding purchase on one ankle at first but once contact was made and her movente arrested more tendrils of plant matter enveloped her slowly pulling her through the muck toward the hole the vines had erupted from. The other mass of vines studded in torns lashed out seemingly at random biting into Comrad Frosts parka and sending downy feathers up in a cloud to settle into the muck as it scored his undead flesh.

Writhing Masses Actions. First one will try to grab Velocity 1d20+12=29 Initiating a grapple, Grapple Check is 1d20+30=44 Which looks like with her 7? Grapple (It's down as six but that looks like an edit got missed) will still be Bound and Helpless on a check of 20. Second One will will attack at random targeting, Comrade Frost, And will lash out with thorney tendrils, 1d20+12=19, DC 27 Toughness save. Round 1 54 - Velocity 4HP Unharmed; Bound and Helpless Due to Grapple 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Unharmed 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Unharmed 19 - Fleur de Joie 3HP Unharmed 17 - Gabriel 6HP Unharmed 16 - Comrade Frost 1HP Unharmed; Need DC 27 Toughness save I believe 10 - Tom Cyprus ------ Injured x 1 9 - Gaian Knight 3HP Unharmed 3 - Tiamat ------ Unharmed 0 - Zombus Minions Legion Fleur de Joie is up! @Electra

Ace smirked slightly as the frazzled and confused mother of the child looked down at the abortive tantrum and glanced around with brief uncertainty before continuing on her way grateful not to have a scene. "We can walk the length and give a try to whatever catches your fancy." Ace suggested as ambled aimlessly down the walk. "Ah you're not wrong sweet is a delight but can be much more with a hint of spice." he grinned and came to a pause before one of the stands holding up two fingers to order. "You my dear are in for a treat the Vasquez family here has made the best churros in Freedom for three generations." He glanced over at the teen behind the counter catching the family resemblance, "Ahem, make that four, you must be Carlos." The vendor nodded as he handed over the fried dough, "Yes sir Mr. Danger." he replied with a smile, "Helping out for the summer." he elaborated as he took the bill Ace slid across the the counter and dropped it in the till. "Carlos here has a scholarship to FCU in the fall." Ace explained with a small nod artfully not mentioning the endowment responsible for this largess. "Still accounting?" he asked with a shake of his head, "all that number crunching I wish you luck." the famed Danger lamented with feigned distaste. "Yes sir," Carlos replied as Ace handed off one of the sweet treats to Andromeda. "Math doesn't need luck that's what makes it great." the teen teased back before moving on to the next customer as Ace and Andromeda stepped away. "So anything catch your eye?" he suggested as they walked and sampled the salty sweet confections crispy on the outside soft and moist in the center.

That will miss the Writhing masses But Hit Tom for a DC 29 Toughness save he gets a 25 So one Injury for Tom. And I'll let the big aoe count as handling the close zombies for this round, Tiamat will still need to deal with the fringes but everyone else can focus on the main event. Round 1 54 - Velocity 4HP Unharmed 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Unharmed 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Unharmed 19 - Fleur de Joie 3HP Unharmed 17 - Gabriel 6HP Unharmed 16 - Comrade Frost 1HP Unharmed 10 - Tom Cyprus ------ Injured x 1 9 - Gaian Knight 3HP Unharmed 3 - Tiamat ------ Unharmed 0 - Zombus Minions Legion

Sandman pause in front of the establishment and double checked hte list of locations before nodding to his cohort, "Why don't you go ahead and see if anyone inside has noticed anything." he suggested and paced out the area trying to get a feel for any similar reverberations as the last locale. "I'll see if I can track down the site of the attack." One hero inside would be enough distraction. He began to pace out the area where the victim had been listed found looking for any evidence of even minor struggle or signs of the entities powers being used lingering still in this realm.

I don't think accurate applies to create object despite it being a ranged power. When used to trap or drop objects on enemies they get a reflex save to avoid rather than you making an attack. Progression could be a good replacement. -

Combat: I think something like +12 woodsmans gear melee weapons makes more clear where that applies. Powers: Single Large Projectile - Array slot counts out to using 20 not 21 Array points by my count (6PP for blast 14 in feats) and should be noted as 20 if it's intentionally under. malodorous smoke pellets w/ chaff - seems to be off on the math or formatting. 4 sense types (radio, olfactory and visual(doubled)) is 4PP per rank. Two extras brings it to 6 per rank. 4 ranks is 24PP. 1 rank of reduced range drops that to 23PP Not sure if that supposed to be more reduced range or not though. Bola Arrow - trip is 1PP/rank to start, adding unreliable makes it 1PP/2 ranks so the total there would be 4 not 7 making the total for the array slot 18 not 21. -
Mike happily hoisted the toddler into the air in a gentle but secure one handed grip as he 'flew' Ritchie overhead. Mike raised a brow at the Dakanan cousin he hadn't realized Ninas family had such far flung relations. "I admit despite everything I'm still always a bit surprised at your jet setting lifestyle Mark." he grinned then quickly swooped the toddler in his hand when his pause to talk to adults earned a frustrated tap at his wrist. He eventually guided Ritchie in for a landing next to the bear and looked to Alex at Ninas question with a hint of nervousness, that early manifestation of power had not been easy for Alex, he wouldn't wish it on his own children no matter how prepared He and Alex may be. With the hand off of all the little ones needful things Mike took a moment to clasp Mark on the shoulder and offer a gentle squeeze. Looking down at what was really his first friend other than Alex he smiled, "Hey we'll take good care of him and if he needs you Daddy's just a thought away right?" he pointed out as between Marks teleportation and Alex's telepathy this really was more like Ritchie staying in the next room than across the world.

Ace watched the newcomers fascination with a quiet glee. I a life like Ace Dangers one saw quite a bit. It was novel and endearing to meet someone that met experiences with wonder. A sentiment he in many ways shared. Clearly he'd made a good choice in where to show her many of the assorted things that the world of men had wrought. As she touched down he smiled lightly and nodded along with her questions. "Well when it was first invented just the novelty of a machine of such size was exciting." he explained succinctly, "In time since it's lost some popularity but remains fondly remembered for nostalgia and it's speed is an advantage for the young and elderly who might not be physically or emotionally prepared for hte thrills and chills of a coaster." he gestured at the screaming cartloads of humans hurdling along the track of 'The Centurion'. He led her in probably earning few gaping stares than had she not been accompanied by the worlds possibly most famous adventurer. In Freedom seeing a Danger escorting an otherworldly beauty was perhaps not commonplace but at the least not alarming, something to snap a surreptitious picture of and continue an affect of the cool and jaded Freedomite. He paid the entry fee and led her down the walk, "We certainly can though there is quite a few other things to see as well." he pointed out the occasional carnival game or fairground staple food stand to gauge interest. "Do you need to eat?" he inquired as it was not entirely clear how accurately she had modeled her form to the mortals around her.

I'll allow her shift as part of the zero round so she can start combat as a dargon to keep things moving.

Round 1 54 - Velocity 4HP Unharmed 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Unharmed 22 - Writhing Mass ------ Unharmed 19 - Fleur de Joie 3HP Unharmed 17 - Gabriel 6HP Unharmed 16 - Comrade Frost 1HP Unharmed 10 - Tom Cyprus ------ Unharmed 9 - Gaian Knight 3HP Unharmed 3 - Tiamat ------ Unharmed 0 - Zombus Minions Legion Scenario Specifics There are alot of swamp zombies crawling up out of the ground, they are effectively minions but also regenerate and replenish as long as Tom is still active. As a full round action any one of you or Tiamat can either blockade them from getting out into the city to pursue civilians OR clear the area around Tom and your teammates. Whatever descriptors you like on how you stop them or clear them. If they are not cleared from around the main fight each person not flying or otherwise out of range (Like if velocity just move bys every round she'd be clear) will get a mass attack from the zombies. Basically an environmental hazard that needs to make an attack roll. After a bit (or sooner if one of you comes up with a clever way to do it) other heroes and the police will cordon off the area so the swamp zombies can't hurt anyone. Before that if not stopped they'll be leaching out into the city raising terror and what not. Two of you can each do one of those things to cover both in one round if desired. The Writhing Masses are standard enemies made from plants. Stesha can use a full round action to hold them back for a round wrestling for control with Cyprus(No Check Needed). Or she can try to Counter them one at a time with a counter check using her plant control array ranks. It is not unreasonable to expect that Tom may be able to summon more plant friends (though using his actions for the round to do so, whether or not he does so probably has a lot to do with how badly he's getting beat on ) To keep things moving I'm looking to give people ~day to post from when I mark their init as up. If not they burn their round taking care of plants/zombies and can post out of order how they're handling that while we keep other actions moving. And with that @Thevshi is up.

Gaian Knight and Gabriel hadn't spoken a moment too soon. As the press and observers hastily made their egress the low rumble began to be felt by even those without the heroes sensitivities and Velocity had to catch more than one stumbling reporter as the crowd edged toward panic. The warning and efforts of the experienced heroes proved enough and the last of the civilians dashed to news vans or the shelter of surrounding streets and buildings just as the first rotting hands and arms thrust out of the suddenly moist and muddy soil. Cameras were already rolling at the relative safety of the periphery as the first of the zombies pulled itself from the ground with a sickening squelch, the corpse was riddled with vines and fungus, an entire leg replaced by a mass of moss and driftwood. Moments later more and more of the zombies pulled themselves from the soil, some more plant than not, and began shambling slowly toward the fringes where the last fleeing civilians were escaping and slowly filling the recently evacuated press conference. Thier march slow but inexorable. A larger rumble sounded, an immense grey hand draped in swamp moss thrust out of the ground followed by the bulk of the long thought vanquished Tom Cyprus. His own tattered form patched with the living swamp he called home and apparently was bringing to downtown Freedom. The hulking brute cast his head back and let out a guttural bellow of raw rage arms raised threateningly. At his call roots and vines shot forth from the ground showering the area with muck and dirt as twisting writhing masses flanked the nigh immortal creature the twitching branches and vines lashing out at anything that came near. Clearly the creature or spirit had grown in power and anger during its long slumber since the Centurion had last vanquished him here decades ago.

The wall cracked under the force of Jack ramming the stoney foes into it as did the rocklike hide of the gargoyles though they struggled feebly in his grip still. The flames licked up his arms scorching the animate statuary and eliciting bellows of rage as they continued to burn under the fell flames of Jessica's magic. These creatures were too heart to be so easily disposed of however and clung still to their semblance of life.

Yea if you're just inflicting damage. They get a 22 and a 28 So another bruise for the non-staggered one. Both struggle to get free on their actions and can not 24, 24 24 is less than the 29 minimum jack can roll. Jessica is up. Top of her round they'll take the hellfire damage again. DC 23 Toughness saves 13 and 31 both now staggered Round 5 Cultists 14 0 remain Jack 7 1 Bruise 0HP Hulks 6 2 Remain 1 bruisedx2 & staggered; 1 bruisedx1 & staggered Jess 5 Uninjured 1HP
