  1. Some formatting seems to be off. Probably an issue in putting and pasting at some point. In particular her PP totals ar in the middle of her attribute block. Skills should be in the format of name rank (+total) IE. Craft: Sculpting 5 (+6) Background and history: Looks good overall. Does she want to get back to her home dimension? Is she worried about her criminal self running rampant in her home dimension? She doesn't have subtle on her flight so there is some noticeable effect of her flight, contrails, noise, sparkles, whatever you like but it is noticeable. Attributes: Totals look to be off I only count 44 PP on attributes looks like the abilities totals didn't get reduced when you dropped 2 points off of constitution. Combat: Attack should include the bonus for melee (Attack: +5 base, +9 Unarmed Strike defense you only bought 6 ranks of base defense should be represented as +6 base, +9 dodge focus, +3 flat footed grapple should be +15 (+7 str, +5 base attack, +3 SS) Attack spec Unarmed does not add to gapple attack focus melee however would. Knockback should be -7 for 7 ranks of impervious toughness Saves: looks good Skills: looks good other than the formatting issue mentioned at the top. Feats: Adds up. Please remove the dangling '.' on the feats and atack spec should be Attack Specialization: Unarmed 2 Powers: You need to list the Alternate power Feat on flight in the power feats per formatting guidelines and include the AP in correct notation Flight 6 (Feats: Alternate Power 1) [13PP] Alternate Power: Speed 6 (Extras: Linked(quickness)) {6/12AP} Linked Power: Quickness 6 (extras: Linked(speed)) {6/12AP} Regen needs the colon bolded as well.
  2. that'll do! Jessica is up.
  3. Yea bruised makes his toughness + 14 Fail by fifteen is Unconscious did you want to use your HP for a reroll?
  4. While Jessica evaded the tentacles in the dark alley jack face the towering thugs outside. As he struck out he felt his claws rake along the creatures hide knocking the wind from it as it doubled over from the force that hide was like striking stone, carving deep furrows in the rocky creatures side but not cutting like they would against a less sturdy foe. Clearly not all was as it seemed with these hoodlums. Jacks paw closed around the bestial forearm of the gargoyle and despite the creatures might the bear proved the stronger binding the stoney enemy in a firm joint lock. While it's comrade was neatly restrained by Jack the other gargoyle was unfettered and with the battle truly joined not so shy about unleashing it's full power on the giant man bear that was wrestling his fellow servator. With a bestial roar it raised it's hands overhead in a vicious double handed chop, granite limbs driving with the force of a truck across Jacks back.
  5. 44 beats him by nine he's bound and helpless. From chat you're maintaining the grapple but taking no other actions. The grappled Hulk is dazed and can't try to break free on his action. The free hulk will attack a full power attack: 1d20+1=14 As Jack is in a grapple and does not have grapple finesse he loses his dodge bonus to defense and that will hit. DC 30 toughness save Jack is at one bruise so -1 to his save.
  6. That will hit Toughness save DC 25: 16 Fail by 9 injured and dazed You initiate a grapple his grapple check is 36
  7. Not to pile on but I do want to clarify a couple things about time travel in setting and more specifically how the rules for this would work. Morph is the power that lets you take on an alternate form in this case the descriptor of that power is basically alt timeline twin. That does not affect everyone else's memories, or other aspects of the world. So you can certainly have a morph effect that lets you take on the appearance of your alt timeline selves (which would allow for some bio sex swapping). You can flavor that as a melded memory effect internally that they recall the other interactions with people and the world through a lense of the original or seamlessly however is interesting to write your internal monologue. But people who met him as Claude would think Claudia is a different person they don't know or that Claude changed into Claudia somehow. We would probably allow the big time shift as a one time backstory effect, like they used to be one then time hijinks and when they pop out it's in a timeline identical but for their gender/sex they remember being one but are now the other if that was an event you wanted to play with for backstory. But it would not be an ongoing effect each time. For the broader sense of how the character handles this I'd like a little more detail about how the character feels about bouncing between claude and claudia in the personality section to give us a better grasp of how the character will be acting in play around the issue that can be sensitive.
  8. That means jack is up
  9. Sandman froze as the vision overtook him seeking out every detail he could place. When it came to a close he ran a hand along the gash, "Inflicted by the victim" he stated quietly. He paused considering the creature he'd seen and let out a sigh, "I've seen entities like this but not with this sort of targeting." he mused aloud and nodded to his fellow hero. "Whatever this is isn't just attacking randomly or feeding." he revealed, "It's almost vengeful and it is intelligent." the mystic guardian frowned deeply considering the implications and possibilities. "We should see what can be found at the more recent sites." Sandman suggested, "I'll brief you on what I saw on the way."
  10. "That can be arranged." Sandman replied to Volcanic as she took to the skies, "You want to take the stealthy approach?" he offered to Ms. Grue as a golden sand spun out from where he cupped a hand and with a swirling motion he conjured a portal through the dreamlands to a point not far from the human, "I'm a bit more flashy." he shrugged with a small smile as he held the portal open for her. Once she made her way through or chose alternate transit he stepped through and let it collapse before making his way toward the mans path. Giving Ms. Grue a moment to get in place he approached the mans path, on guard but not openly hostile. "Hello these are dangerous environs for one to travel alone." he spoke his words in the common tongue of all sentients that spent time in slumber.
  11. Between the angry roars at the far end of the alleyway and Jessica starting to move breaking their carefully crafted rune of entrapment things were not going as the cultists had planned. As the one in the center took a hasty step away from the freed hero and began dark incantations anew the cultist on her left dropped his blade with a shriek of surprise, "You said she'd be trapped!" he yelped in fear as the silver dagger clattered on the pavement scoring the paralytic circle and ensuring the spell couldn't be triggered once more. The cultist to her right was made of sterner stuff however and dropped into a low crouch flipping hte dagger in his hand to a combat grip before lunging with surprising speed to slash across her side with his serpentine blade. As he attacked the seeming leader completed his invocation of fell powers. Tendrils of inky black rose from the ground and shadows in a writhing mass around Jessica, the wispy limbs snaked toward her whipping around to ensnare her before she could make good on her escape.

  14. As the transporter shifted them to their new environs Sandman remained still and quiet. He took in their new environs quickly wishing he'd paid more attention to those nature shows Shelby was always watching. "I fear Volcanic may be right." he replied stoically, "It is unlikely we are here for so mundane a test." He drew on his senses of the beyond looking out into the treeline and along the meadowed plains for any sign of what may have called them here in this realm or another. "Overwatch would be of help." he noted to Ms. Grue who seemed the most well suited to surreptitious flight. He glanced to Volcanic and Facsimile, "Why split us into teams if we're all sent here?" he questioned uncertainly likely once again overthinking the implications of the frosts plan such as it was.
  15. Happens at the beginning so she can act yes.
  16. That's one bruise for Jack Jess is up and gets to make her next will save DC 19 now.
  17. The hulking brutes blocking Jacks passage didn't react as he growled and gnashed his teeth. Even the full transformation into his titanic ursine form seemed to have no effect on the stalwart behemoths. Only when he lashed out with wicked claws did they register any reaction twisting to the side so his claws rang uselessly off of the brickwork of the neighboring building. As one they surged forward eerily silent in their straightforward brutal assault on the towering bear. Crushing blows lashed out and struck home connecting with unnatural strength and crushing force as they pummeled Jack with fierce body blows. As they moved he could barely make out stoney grey features beneath their hoods and a red glow from their eyes fortelling these were no normal foes but empowered and twisted by whatever dark arts held Jessica now.
  18. That's a miss. Both will attack Arctos 1d20+6= 24 and 18 That's two DC 25 toughness saves

  22. Regarding Frost cautiously a the pronouncement Sandman looked first to Volcanic and her partner planning to leave the decision to them. Of course as both deflected in their own particular ways it would fall to he and Ms. Grue to decide. He glanced to her and shrugged before replying to Frost, "Tigers." he stated flatly offering no further explanation. Really being mauled by beasts wasn't high on his list regardless but he perhaps foolishly assumed it was more window dressing like the elemental team names and not related to the tasks they'd be given. He might have been overestimating how much thought Frost had put into this.

    Helpless

The Summer had hardly been uneventful but despite a few close calls and a thorough condemnation for reckless risks and an equally thorough commendation for breaking up the ring of Daka Crystal thieves Kam and his friends had returned to Claremont Academy. They arrived in advance of the next year with time to catch up on the news of Freedom and more importantly perhaps share their own exploits. The late summer sun found several of them gathered for lunch in the central quad trading stories. Kam let out a bright laugh, "Then they spun her." he shook his head at the memory nodding at Janus and eyeing his sister with a teasing glint in his eyes, "At least half of that giggle was genuine." he prodded perhaps foolishly given her penchant for getting the upper hand in these wars of words. Looking directly at Elizabeth he smirked, "It was like something out of one of those teen musicals." he joked easily. It would likely be less funny when those pictures circulated to where their father uncovered them. Raising his hands the Dakanan prince deflected gamely, "I will grant it certainly got people's attention."
  24. Yea, I'm thinking that moving away from a geographical view and more to a narrative one could help to differentiate. Kinda hit the core story beats. What role do heroes play in the city, underdogs, paragons, etc. How do they interact with authorities. How has the presence of heroes changed the city, how does the public feel about that and them? What kind of story is this city a setting for. Right now I'd say we have Freedom City is the place where the heroes are larger than life and have changed the face of the city to it's core. Heroes are the celebrities and the protectors adored and trusted by the bulk of the populace. It has seen terrible attacks and invasions, monstrous villains but come back stronger for it and more united. That's a pretty generic high power kind of super city the tone is hopeful and doesn't focus on 'real world' implications of superpowers. This is the place for classic "comic book" stories of good guys being good bad guys being bad and it all being resolved by the end of the issue. Bedlam is more a place where the heroes failed, they were either as bad as the villains or just were not able to overcome the entrenched forces of corruption and urban decay. The populace might be grateful for an individual hero or being rescued but still don't trust heroes on the whole and they are illegal, the very act of costumed vigilantism puts heroes in opposition not only to the corrupt powers but the legitimate laws of the city. The tone is grim, it's not a battle to win but a battle to extend how long it takes to lose. This is the place for stories where the hero doesn't get there in time or maybe stops one plot only to let another rise. Moral ambiguity, grey areas, and impossible choices are the bread and butter narrative of bedlam. Space is less defined but it's a higher tech environment where everyday citizens are super by earth standards. This makes the stakes higher and the pay offs bigger. It's a big setting of big personalities and big stories. Stories here are cultural conflict, war, and exploration. I don't have that kind of insight into the goals for EC nor Vibora Bay. Best I get is that EC has most of the Freedom stuff but also the bad guys have some hidden entrenched power but in secret so interacting with it in a story isn't straightforward like in bedlam. Most I've gotten other than geographic descriptions of Vibora Bay is "Magic". That's not to say other kinds of story can't be told in space, Bedlam or Freedom but those are the stories best suited. And obviously that isn't all there can be to EC or VB but the point would be what should EC have to stand out and what could VB bring?
