The boardwalks own 'Original BurgerShack!' was not as busy as during the summer months certainly but the steady flow of locals looking for what was widely regarded as the best burger and shake this side of the south river earned it the rare honor of being open on the chill winter afternoon. A small number of workers from the nearby indoor attractions and a few die hards getting their burger on were spread out in the ample outdoor seating around the burger shaped hut that housed the BurgerShack! itself. The line wasn't long and moving quick despite the late lunch rush so it was an inviting enough option for the rare passerby. A half dozen construction workers waited patiently off to the side for their orders to be completed and on the edge of the seating area a group of local teens roughhoused boisterously as they clustered around a table just slightly too small for their group to eat the bags of food they'd just recieved.

Yea. Anti magic wards or something the demon dude has up could drop Ouroboros down to mostly PL8 (PL8 Combat at least) and leave Corporis intact. So that's one option.

Sandman is pretty all or nothing. If he has access to his dream powers he's a solid PL 12 with a fair number of options available to him. If he doesn't he's a mild mannered Anesthesiologist. Like I said Ouroboros is a PL 8 Dhampir if he loses access to his magic. He has to speak and gesture to use it so it's not hard to take away but also not conducive to a first time team up if he can't talk or do stuff with his hands for some reason. Looks like corporis powers are not magic descriptor so a fiat anti-magic field could probably let them both function not sure how not magic thier abilities are though just going off hte descriptors on the sheet

It can be hard for lower PL's to get a chance to shine with that kind of spread. If we can find a good explanation for it Ouroboros drops to PL 8 if he can't use his magic.

I have Sandman and Ouroboros (Links in my sig) that are available and mystic like. THough they are at PL12+ so not sure how well matched for what you have planned so no pressure if you are looking for something with less of a spread.

The gunfire if anything intensified when Bombshell took to the field the bullets tracking behind her as she darted to the relative safety of the bunkers entrance. The response to the eruption of vines and branches was eerily silent as the thralled mercenaries and gangsters that made up the Majors ad hoc army continued to try and fight heedless of their own safety. Those able to retain their weapons continued firing short bursts often sent wild and risking hitting their own forces when they were suddenly jerked off their feet to dangle in the air. If they did not manage to free these men from their enthrallment it would be a bloody battle to escape the bunker once inside. Already more soldiers and thugs took up positions on what cover and high ground was available to fire at the heroes as they made their entrance. As he trod through the rain of bullets behind his less sturdy compatriots Caradoc could see an all too familiar terror in the eyes of their opponents despite their continued full bodied assault. This time however it was not desperation that drove them but the unshakeable command of their hidden master. Behind the embankment over the entrance he could see two teams loading and preparing to fire RPGs finally in position to bring to bear the heavier weaponry that might actually be a threat to the armored giant that had so easily ignored the small arms fire.

"hmmm" Ace mused briefly confronted with the Minotaur, "And me without my twine." Replaying the last few twists and turns of the maze through his mind he hoped this minotaur was not so canny as the originator of the legend as he bolted back to the planned intersection. Setting his feet firmly, body carefully posed in challenge to the beast Ace threw his voice to taunt the creature as if he was on the far side of the hall. "Sorry no time for autographs old chap." he taunted with a saucy grin, "I simply haven't the time for every fan." The he waited prepared to dodge out of the way should the beast turn on him or follow it out of the hole to whatever was or was not outside the strange maze.

When life gives you lemons make lemonade. When life gives you minotaurs make holes in the maze. We'll do a trick action, skill mastery gets Ace a 35 on bluff to get the minotaur to charge him and go through a wall instead (hopefully).

We can go ahead and get that out of the way. But Talya, Min, And Eric all have "surprise" actions still if they want so it doesn't have to be before posts.

After the echos of Caradocs high impact arrival died down the silence was palpable as the enslaved minds of the bunkers guardians warred with the terror and malice borne to them over hte airwaves. So shaken by the heroes arrival they seemed to take no notice of Dragonfly as she set to work peeling away steel and concrete from the blast door with the blade abhorred by nature. As the first few guards wills were subsumed once more they raised their weapons spraying the disguised omegadrone with automatic fire that could not penetrate his nihilor forged armor. Spatters of hot lead fell around him like rain drops, and deep within the bunker warning klaxons began to screech the alarm. High above Dragonflys drones could make out the form of more fire teams forced to march toward the entrance and hold it as long as they might. By the time she'd bored a hole through the heavy door big enough for even Caradoc to pass unhindered the hill behind was ringed with defenders preparing to make their stand.

With surprise as you have you should be able to manage the full round break action which will punch a good sized hole through the door. It's like a big vehicular sized blast door so cutting a people sized hole will probably be more useful than knocking the whole thing in.

Soon the Interceptors arrived at the recently reinhabited bunker. Those with the means could detect the buzz of encrypted radio filling the local airwaves but seemed localized and low power transmitters unlikely to be noticed even by the nearby Lonely Point Naval Base. Small encampments of what at first glance appeared to be homeless encampments proved cover for the not so underfed appearing mercenaries and gangsters that seemed to have congregated under the umbrella of the Majors organization. The main entrance was easy to make out the large blast doors cinched tightly shut and barricades scattered about not quite haphazardly for nearby goons to take cover while defending the entrance. High altitude surveys by Dragonflys drones revealed that the assorted encampments were all structured around the vent and utility portals scattered through the dunes. More care taken for these surreptitious entrances than the front gates. IR cameras revealing nets of laser light set to incinderies on each vent and access point. Quick math on the layout of the vents and access points suggested berths for at least a hundred soldiers were probably once housed within and could have been pressed to service once more without stressing even the aged scrubbers and power systems no less modern refurbishments. The main door despite it's age remained intact and sturdy. Once sealed it would likely hold a normal attacker off for hours even with a cutting torch available to cut a way in. Then again the Interceptors were hardly normal attackers.

I'll get a post up here tomorrow after work with the quick visual descriptions of the base and surroundings (abandoned bunker on desolate scrublands with a few minions patrolling.) Any specialty senses or scouting being used let me know and I'll try to include that in the post but feel free to ask any questions that come up.

Kimo's eyes widened as his fellow surfer was snatched and drug below the waves. Before he could even react two forms had leapt from the boat after the vanished surfer. At least one was moving faster than any diver had right to and there were too many still bobbing vulnerable on the surface. He could only hope they got to the man in time. Letting out a piercing whistle he motioned toward the boat, "Get on da boat."he bellowed as he dove off his board in a smooth motion the ripples of his body hitting the choppy surf growing outward and carrying the surfers toward the hopeful safety of the rocking boat. Diving beneath the waves as the stubby fins of hte bull sharks sliced toward his charges he shot forward with powerful strokes on an intercept course, "Bad shark!" he scolded as he grabbed the first by the tail swinging it like a club to clear the others out of the surfers path bludgeoning the predators with the rubbery hide of one of their own. -

Kanunu will activate tidal surge on his hydrokinetics array and boost the surfers up to swim 4 to help them get to the relative safety of the boat. Then he'll move in and Attack the bull sharks, if they're minions he'll take ten on the attack for a 21 (with favored environment) for a DC 30 toughness save. Try and get as many of them as he can with takedown attack 2. He'll be ready to interpose for the surfers if the nearby great white goes after one. -

Thanks to the vagaries of time and distance within the void it was only moments later that Huang emerged from the 'Back Door' of the manor peering out with an incantation on his lips to check the house for danger before he pulled his younger self through as well and back into reality from the void where he had retreated. "We're back here." he called out less to alert his father that they were safe than to warn him they were about to enter the room where he was doubtless on edge. "Hey you ok mini me?" he asked again as he led JJ into the next room possibly more for Jack to hear than himself. "Mom'll be back soon ok?" he promised and turned to his father and succinctly explained, "Eldrich is dead." he held up a hand and pushed through, "I don't know exactly how." he shrugged, "But with on apprentice I can only think of one person the Powers would tap in an emergency." He gestured finally to his mothers still cooling drink on the end table.

Huang slowly came back to himself focused once more and looking about for a moment to ensure nothing dangerous had crept through in the chaos. Returning his attention to Set he slowly nodded, "Possibly yes." he agreed with a practiced carefree shrug, "The death of a Master Mage certainly could trigger ripples in the timeline that would change my past." he acknowledged but assured her quietly, "But this sort of time loop is, hmmm, elastic." the dhampir explained succinctly, "things may shift and change but it can't be so easily wholly undone." he left out the rather dire potential consequences of such paradox. It would probably involve the time keepers at that point which no one really wanted. He leaned in to place a quick kiss to her lips, "Suffice to say I'm not in the habit of disobeying vengeful deities of shadow and storm." he promised with a wink and looked down at his phone finally with a slight crease of worry to his brow, "I need to get home," he explained hastily gesturing with the phone, "Other wise there is a good chance my father will come looking for me and no one wants that right now." he shrugged and took a step back, "I imagine your fearsome keeper will be on her way shortly as well." he teased lightly as if there was one thing he knew it was that Sekhmets first response to all this Chaos would be to suspect her oft wayward charge.
