  1. It's Lou or Gremlin if Fox wants to use the ready action.
  2. The mobster rocked on his heels nearly going down from the hammer blow but was apparently made of sterner stuff as he staggered a step back gun light in his grip, "Yer a dead man ya freak!" he spat, flecks of bloody spittle flying from his lips. "What are you morons waiting for!" Ha Ha chided angrily motioning for the muscle to do what muscle does. Xavier frowned slightly as Ha Ha took the punch and crawled into the back to take stock of what they were armed with. Hurriedly examining the contents of the van he nodded to Sophia and Alice where they prepared, "Hmm perhaps a bit of a distraction then." he suggested as he grabbed several of hte products and hurriedly began filling a mop bucket. "It's been some time since my chemistry courses but if memory serves." he noted as he sent the bucket rolling across the gap between lou and the van as a hazy fog began to spill forth from his makeshift smoke bomb. "It should be harmless if a bit noxious." he suggested with a shrug. The Goons nod at Ha Ha's prompting and glance at one another before splitting up. The first charges at Lou swinging one meaty fist in a wide arc to take the man of asphalt right on the chin. Unfortunately for him punching rock as hard as one can is rarely a recipe for a good end. With a sickening crack his hand crumpled against Lous stoney exterior and he fell to the ground cradling his shattered arm as he scooted back from the battle. The other had drawn his weapon at the sight of movement from the van and crpt up slowly on the back door carefully skirting the growing misty cloud.
  3. Ha Ha is dazed so he's gonna gape and curse. Xavier will provide some distraction/light cover with some good ol kitchen chemistry. Not a full obscure effect but enough to give Alice reasonable cover next round if she wants and maybe lure a guy to the van. One Goon takes a swing at Lou, the other will head for the van and draw his gun to get a shot at the occupants before they make something more dangerous. 20 hits which is too bad for him, DC 20 toughness check 10 and he goes down shattering his hand on Lou.
  4. Round 1 Gremlin 4 HP uninjured Ha Ha Bruised, Dazed Xavier 1 HP uninjured Goons 2 remain Lou 0 HP Bruised Lov3l@ce 1 HP uninjured Gremlin is up.
  5. And we're in rounds. Ha Ha goes on 20 Crabbe and Goyle go on 17 and Xavier goes on 17 also because there are no bounds to orokos being terrible.
  6. 1d20+8 = 27 erm dammit flatfooted is +6 so 25 Alright that's bruised and dazed.
  7. Lou had a good four inches on Ha Ha, but that didn't seem to intimidate the made man in the slightest. He was a man not accustomed to having to ask twice however. Peering up from under heavy brows Lenny sneered slightly, "You here that boys?" He asked the muscl rhetorically, "The one time thinks he's too good to get his hands dirty." He flipped the gun in his hand, "Fine, I'll do em myself." he growled cracking his neck and gesturing for the muscle to take point. "Take a seat." he nodded to Lou, "Just make sure to fix my mirrors when yer done checking yer makeup princess." In the van Xavier grew quiet as he huddled in the driver seat peeking through the mirrors at the exchange with a heavy heart. "Sometimes I hate being right." the old PI rumbled, "Eyes up young ladies things might get exciting in a moment."
  8. So Vince's checks will turn up the following: The pictures are drawn from a variety of devices, mostly cell phones, but no small number of assorted hobbyist cameras as well. Maybe one in ten is from a professional camera. The height and telemetry in addition to the timestamps or shadow positions suggest the pictures were taken by many different individuals. Cross reference with the Dojo's own surveillance systems indicates some of them were taken without the photographer even looking. timing is varied enough to indicate the surveillance is not constant but is very thorough. Lots of surveillance but not performed directly by professionals. There is no unusual activity on the Dojos mundane or enhanced computer systems, either they are truly exceptionally skilled at electronic infiltration or haven't even attempted it. There is no evidence of internal shots of the dojo not easily accessible from the street or lobby areas the public have access too. The digital photos that might have caught the comings and goings of the super alter egos have been scrubbed as per his normal protocols, digitally edited before they left the range of his network. Cross Checking his logs for super comings and goings none seem to line up with any of the non-digital photographs. The schedules and class lists are all publically available. Any number of the walk ins or phone calls the business fields in normal operations could have been the source. He has done a sweep of the current in house surveillance and there does not appear to be any immediate threat. But given this evidence he can not be certain the house isn't being watched currently. Let me know if there's anything else you're looking for from that.
  9. Their phones, if they had brought one, were carefully stowed in individual cases labeled with their names and a ticket number for retrieval. Then they were given wristbands, red to indicate they were under drinking age, and the door swung wide to welcome them into the venue itself. The large room had an open central dance floor where already the early arrivals had gathered to sway absently to the Decemberists cover band that had won the dubious honor of being the opening act. Not much point in an opening act that you couldn't publicize, record, film, or otherwise exploit but perhaps worth it if the rumors of just how high powered the exclusive guests here were turned out to be true. Arrayed around the dance floor were sparse and spartan standing tables where small clumps already gathered to excitedly discuss the upcoming show while downing a little social lubricant to ensure they were ready for the 'Experience'. The bar was lightly staffed but full featured and above the main floor a mezzanine area of darkened tables left room for more intimate conversation accessible from stairs at each side of the room. Any paying attention to such things would note more well dressed high grade security on the employee access and fire doors. The group had time to mingle, try to scam drinks despite the bracelets, or stake out a table to act as 'home base' if they desired but soon the lights began to dim and the cover band wrapped up their set as a broad shouldered dignified man stepped out on stage to awkwardly lean into the mic, "Thank you to 'The Novemberists', they were great weren't they." he congratulated as the cover band left the stage. "And now what you've all been waiting for." He announced, "Put your hands together for Winterfold!" The band emerged a motley group of reasonably attractive in a sullen teen kind of way young men took to the stage instruments in hand. There was a scattering of applause and a few whoops. One group not far from the student's apparently hadn't gotten the memo about how uncool liking things was and burst into raucous almost manic applause at the command. The PA whined for a moment as the sound system switched to the bands mics and instrument leaving a faint ringing in the ears for all the more authentic an underground experience.
  10. "You're a good man." Xavier intoned with respect at Lous response, "The less your associates know of the rest of us the better I think." he agreed with a small sigh. He turned off the van and waited as lou began to get out, "I fear the rest of your associates may not be as honorable as you sir." he admitted a bit sadly it seemed. Glancing in the rearview at the younger part of the crew with a small smile creeping to his lips, "I will admit there is a certain thrill to such endeavors." he acknowledged wryly, "Though I believe I shall retreat once more to the side of order after all of this." As Lou approached the waiting sedan three men got out. Lenny Ha Ha and a pair of muscle straight out of prison. Lou knew Ha Ha more by reputation than first hand experience. He knew the guy liked to talk about his work running leg breakers like these two, and that signature sharp little laugh when he talked about the victims begging for the hurting to stop hadn't endeared him to even the hard guys Lou ran with. Rumor was he laughed the same way when he was working. Lenny handed over a heavy bag, almost too heavy for the payout they'd been promised and nodded to the van as he held out a hand for the goods, "Crew in there yea?" he twitched a little as he asked a small smile creeping to his lips, "heh, heh" he barked almost like a cough more than a laugh. He held a freshly scrubbed piece out to Lou. "Clean up the loose ends and we'll go get you laid."

  12. No magical signature obvious on it other than that of Phaedras recent teleporting it. Talya will recognize the folio as british issue WWII era top secret correspondence. The kind of thing mission briefs were delivered in on base. Once opened the folio is full of large glossy photos of the Dojo, Talya coming and going, with Min, Eric, the Kids, Gina, Ellie, students etc. Also schedules of the dojos operating hours, open classes, comings and goings all in the same tidy script going back for around a month and a half. There are not however any pictures of any of them in their alter egos, secret ID's appear to be safe, well other than one assumes, Talyas.
  13. It was a sad truth that even superheroes had to do their nightly chores, particularly if said heroes were also small business owners, and parents of an ever expanding brood of small children. So whilst the kids may have been a bed the adults of the espadas household had their labors yet before them. Dishes to be done, toys to be stowed before the morrow brought a new and exciting minefield of small and startlingly share bits of plastic artfully concealed beneath princess dresses and costume capes, the life of quiet domesticity that kept the whole household running. Of course for the Interceptors, such moments were never long enough. In a cloud of hellfire and sulphurous smoke a small bundled folio appeared on the kitchen table, the magical signature of it's arrival familiar to Erics metamagi senses, Raina's young demonically inclined companion. Atop the parcel a hasty note, I'm safe and I'll tell you all about it soon. Tonight has been Bananas. You need to see this right away though. Raina the handwriting easily recognizable as was the passphrase the teen had insisted was far from cool but that's she'd use in an emergency if Talya promised not to let any of her friends ever see it. The folder itself was heavy for its size, the paper within clearly of sturdy stock. The exterior printing was much like the interoffice mailers used before everything went electronic, Talya would recognize it's pedigree as even older. Printed across the most recent delivery line read, To: Captain Browning C/O Raina Sanderson [eyes only] From: Major Redacted

  16. Feel free to describe the gathering of the group in a post or two to get to the arrival if desired. Tracing back through the website where they post the pictures and the contest entries reveals it's run by a small promoter that is the known point of contact with the group. He is however notoriously tight lipped about these particular client citing their desired privacy and 'artistic process'. Raina have an HP for Merlin losing access to his electronic toys inside.
  17. It seemed there was still some measure of justice in the world, despite all evidence to the contrary in the life of one Raina Sanderson recently of Claremont Academy. Winterfold was THE underground sensation of the decade, at the least of the moment and really that mattered far more in the cutthroat world of high school. The exclusive concert experience was renowned equally for it's rumored a-list guest list as much as it was for it's unique and secretive musical stylings. In a world where every up and coming band flooded the streaming sites with samples, concert footage, and behind the scenes not so exclusives, Winterfold was an enigma, allowing no recordings, publishing only rare stills of energized crowds in packed small venue or pop up concert halls. Top celebutantes would hint at having seen a show, breathlessly describing the scene in vibrant glowing praise before obliquely adding ,"Or so the rumors go." a small nod to the secretive groups mystique. So the fact that Raina had just won an exclusive invitation for herself and a few friends was to say the least good fortune. And better than that, none of those snobs from Next-Gen had gotten anywhere near it despite best efforts of fame, wealth, or 'harmless' exploitation of powers. This was social gold for any teen. With the concert venue in riverside and her own access only revealed the day of the event she had scant time to gather her friends and soon they found themselves before the doors of the small riverside dancehall with the other elite guests. The doorman checked her against a small delightfully vintage printed list and swung the door open slowly granting them entry to a vestibule where another fit young man stood waiting to collect any and all electronic devices before they'd be granted entry.
  18. Alright gonna get these started up over the next couple days. Thread the first: Raina, Cathy, Phaedra, Robin, and Corinne assuming Raina would use a spare ticket to leverage some social climbing, out of character I know Thread the second: Min, Talya, Erik, Caradoc, and I think unless there is an argument against it I'll put Dragonfly here. (Lets face it especially now that Ecal isn't around with Geckoboy the "not and interceptor" line grows thin ) Thread the third: Ace, Klara, probably Jill? Dragonfly or Jill could go here but this one I'm gonna try to keep smaller.
  19. Taking a circuitous route Xaviers driving left plenty of time for banter though he mostly just listened in as he smoothly navigated the late night streets of bedlam. "I give seventy eight percent odds the guards take credit for disrupting the robery and silence the other thieves." he acknowledged, "Odds well in our favor of getting out clean despite setbacks." Before long he pulled the stolen cleaning van into the warehouse for the appointed meet with their, employers for lack of a better word. "We've arrived." he announced unnecessarily, "I assume you're to make hte exchange?" he inquired of Lou carefully.
  20. "That's certainly what they would want you to think." Huang answered Nicole with a shrug, "And maybe it is." he admitted unfazed by the creature it seemed, though curious about it certainly. Smirking he shook his head at Corrinne, "Well you might be half right." he joked lightly as Jayaman triggered his transformation. Huang threw up an arm to shield his eyes from the wind and dust of Garuda's ascent, "Who says that?" he scoffed as the the eagleman and psychic began their assault on the creature scaling the building. He peered for a moment at the scene as it unfolded and shook his head, murmuring about racists and bigger threats as he drew forth arcane power into his hands raising his hand in an ancient mudra as he chanted slowly in old slavonic, "поглед отвъд погледа." as he summoned power to cast his senses out into realms arcane and profane. As the spell completed he cast about trying to track the energies that might be controlling the creature or worse yet, what it was running from.
  21. Mike leaned back in the couch nodding mute agreement with Alex's explanation. "Certainly." He agreed before the withering teen scorn washed over him though he seemed largely unphased by the small tirade. "Well be that as it may if it is something you truly desire then it is worth working towards." he replied with an easy smile. He shrugged lightly at the commentary about 'their' daughter, "There was a time travel thing and..." he shook his head, "Yea that's probably the safer approach." He agreed as the exact nature of Zoe, her timeline and how it had so clearly diverged from their own gave him a headache and he'd been there. He leaned forward slightly to offer a slip of paper he'd scrawled his cell number on, "Honestly though don't get trapped thinking it's impossible. Each of us does impossible things pretty much every day." he offers gently and leaves it at that for the time being at least, he'd clearly been spending too much time with Mark since coming out of his sabbatical.
  22. "Technically his job is to hit them first." Xavier pointed out, "When successful much less trying." He continued to exchange complaints with the guards keeping their eyes from any monitors that might reveal where precisely the 'cleaning crew' was coming from. The elevator crawled its way up from the basement level and rang out it's arrival before disgorging its occupants. A quick jog down the hall pushing the cart and they crossed the lobby right on schedule. "Don't stop, you need to hit the door before the alarm sounds." Xavier reminded as he slid the door on the side of the van open a short ramp for the trolley clanging into place. One of the guards drew up holding up a hand, "Hold on there isn't any cleaning service tonight." he asked more confusion than concern creasing his brow, "I'll need to call this i...." By the time he finished his speech however they were already crossing the threshold. Another guard called for them to hold up as the first jogged toward the phone to call it in when the alarm sounded and the exasperated guards cursed and turned to run onto the building the fleeing cleaners forgotten in the face of an apparent security breach. Once the cart was in place and the door slid shut Xavier pulled away from the curb and made their egress, "Well done."
  23. Mike nodded gratefully to Alex as she picked up his rather failed thread of advice and made much more sense of it. "I would point out you earlier mentioned control of your condition was moot due to lack of interested parties." he gently advised with a quick smile. He didn't further press the issue however as clearly she was still processing precisely what it was she would even want should it be an option. Mike frowned slightly at the revelation of the schools attempts to nullify and shook his head glancing to Alex with some uncertainty. He'd been fitted with limiters in their time before Claremont, they had proven equally useful and left him even less certain what his strength was capable of. "Well it may be worth examining not nullifying the ability to transform but regulating the stimulus?" he asked looking to Alex for confirmation.
  24. "You'll never pass as a cleaning lady." Xavier replied through the earpiece between shouts at the guards about where they could stuff their regulations about his parking and how many more offices he had to clean tonight. "The LXHK3 plus has an interior dimension of thirty eight inches by twenty four inches by forty two inches with the internal shelving stowed." He rattled off mechanically, "With your height and build you should fit in a knees down fetal position unless you have developed scoliosis in the last half hour." he explained succinctly leaving off the discomfort such a position would put on injured ribs. After another bout of expletives explaining the assorted acts the much put upon guards could commit with their mother and or sister he replied to Sofias continued complaint with a simple count, "You have one minute thirty eight seconds until the alarm sounds, at a standard elevator speed it will take you thirty seconds to ascend to the main floor, leaving you sixty eight seconds to get from the service elevator to the lobby." he paused for a long moment, "To put it another way less talk more hustle."
  25. Huang smirked sidelong at Nicole and shook his head, "You should know a better a Magus is never lost, they are always precisely where they intend to be." he replied with a charming smile. "I was admiring the outfit, very fashion forward, and intricate channeling of the elements." he complimented openly. "Last name?" he questioned as he looked to Corrien, "Perhaps no then, not many are unimpressed by facilities such as these." he mentioned with a shrug, "Most who aren't have them at home." Huang shot Jayaman a flirty grin, "Smile you're so much prettier when you smile." he teased with a slight laugh and stepped out into the room as the simulation came to life, "Spoopy." he noted helpfully and fixed his gaze on the creature scaling the building, "See this is what I mean, it's like the ecru of extradimensional elderthing."
