  1. The high speed metal spheres found their mark pelting the bestial form with crushing force. He staggered under th assault stunned by volly of projectiles and disoriented by the unusual angle of attack as well as his recent transformation. Crouching favoring his uninjured shoulder as he faced off against the gangsters and heroes with mad fury in his inhuman eyes. The gangsters were already scrambling back from him but terrified as they were they were making little progress on escape. Those still afoot did much better vanishing into the crowd or side streets as they fled the battle at a full run.
  2. For his own part Ace spent most of the ride with one hand holding his trademark hat to his head as they whipped around the corners and dips of the speeding coasters track. His focus was on his companion noticing not only that the wind barely touched her but so to the force of inertia as they were flung up and around the twists and turns of the track. "I may regret that Churro before the end of the day but certainly as many times as it takes." he agreed and led her back around and into line. He was quiet a moment, pensive, "You say this body experiances speed differently, perhaps not differently enough?" he suggested trying ot hint that the inertial forces were part of the thrill. "Perhaps rather than emulating the others you just relax and experiance the ride." he shrugged not really wanting to test what her powers might do if she felt the ride needed to be 'enhanced'.
  3. Alright that'll buy some time and Exacus can hit this when eh's in the right headspace.
  4. Poke @Cubismo @RocketLord Out of rounds so either of you can post your actions.
  5. Ms. Bright and Gauss pass the save and are fine. Shooting star fails by 9 which means she's fleeing from the wolfman along with the crowd. Shooting star will get another save at the top of next round at +1 to the save and can use extra Effort to get a new save on her action (also with the +1). Superbeast Toughness save is 1d20+8=14 Fail by nine he is bruised and dazed. The 88 Shooting star grappled is oing to run as well when Shooting star drops them both he and the one already with the bystanders are now lost in the crowd. ROUND 3 30 Superbeast (Bruised X1, Dazed) 26 Gauss 3HP (Uninjured, Will be fatigued next round) 22 88's Minions (2 escaped into the crowd, 2 bleeding out, 1 unconcious) 21 Shooting Star 3HP (Uninjured) 15 Ms. Bright 3HP (Uninjured) 10 Royals Minions (4 fleeing, 2 in crowd (DC 25 notice to track them in the crowd), 3 cowering in terror) 1 Crowd Bystanders (Panicked) Need IC from Gauss.

  7. Still need the Will save from Gauss as well @Azuth65
  8. "Just a flawed bit of code after all then." Kam sounded almost disappointed. He had hoped the outcome could be otherwise though at least now he could act conscience clear. The sudden burst of holographic foes did catch him off guard and while able to avoid the bulk of the false Hyena's attack but the claws scored a hit to his bicep rending the fabric of his coat and biting the flesh beneath. "Whatever Eira managed seems to have left it physically vulnerable." he said quickly ignoring the pain, there were more urgent matters to attend to. Glancing to Robin with a quick nod he let her know his nascent plan, "I'll try to keep him distracted, see if you can find an opening." Then he was gone shrugging out of his ruined coat to throw it toward the holoprojection to blind it if only for a moment as he dove and rolled to the right. A telegraphed maneuver certainly, but that was the point. Keep the AI's focus on him as he rolled and flipped hopefully leaving an opening Robin could exploit to put the thing down.
  9. Move action: close to melee range with the big bad standard action: Feint via acrobatic bluff 1d20+14=20 Reaction if successful: Burn an HP to gain setup and pass the feint bonus on to Nighthawk
  10. Alright that burns my move action. So standard will be the good ol fistpunching. Attack Roll is 1d20+9=17 If that's enough to hit it'l be a DC 30 Toughness Check.
  11. Looks good Approved!
  12. Trip base cost is 1PP/rank so the Gravitics Array trip would come in at 26 not 34 PP leaving room for another extra if one suited. Other than that everything looks good.
  13. Move Action: Attempt Escape 1d20+33=34 uuuuhhhhg HP I guess for a reroll 1d20+33=38 Rolling under 10 pops that up to a 48 due to reroll. Lemme know if that gets him free and I'll figure out his standard if he has one.
  14. Disclaimer: I've added a content warning to this thread in light of recent events. Please check the OOC for details. The crowd parted scattering around the sudden arrival of one of the heroes in their midst snatching a fleeing gangster off his feet in a fierce takedown. Those nearest didn't slow however continuing to surge west down Baltimore toward Grenville and the police barricades confining the recently celebratory crowds to the fens. Already the leading edge of the panicked crowd was in sight of the police barricade and barked orders over loudspeakers could be faintly heard ordering the crowd to stand down and disperse. Where Ms. Bright charged the Royals they started to scatter in the face of her onslaught. One was too slow and caught her wicked jab to the shortribs collapsing in a wheezing heap on the ground. The rest scattered in all directions some lost to the crowd others running full speed up the now largely empty north south run of 82'd street. Three charged at the figure on the fringes making his way carefully deeper into the Fens grabbing at one one managing to strike the operator apparently recognizing him from some past conflict. They seemed to blame him for either the injury or incarceration of one of their number some time back. In response to the assault the better trained man shoved his assailants back and grimaced as he loomed over them, "You should have just let me leave you.... RrraRRARGGGHH!" he cursed as his body went rigid and he threw his head back in apparent agony. Short black bristly fur sprung up along his body as he grew nearly half a foot and contorted his shoulders and arms growing broader and longer, hands curled into cruel grasping claws. His head elongated as he let out a guttural howl to the sky the transformation into some kind of bestial wolfman complete. The blood curdling howl reverberated off the high walls of the surrounding appartements and sent his attackers into fits of gibbering terror at his feet as bloodshot eyes full of inhuman rage gazed down at them.
  15. Content Warning: Police violence. One of the planned complications for this thread is crowd control. When the fighting breaks out the crowd rushes the police barricades and the police respond with force thinking it's a riot like they had been deployed to prevent. I'm continuing with this complication and thread with the understanding that this may hit closer to home right now for some people with current events. If anyone is uncomfortable with this progression please message me and I will work with you to get a satisfactory resolution or branch a thread off for you as needed to resolve your characters actions here. ************************************************************************ That said back to our regularly scheduled posting. Royals will scatter now that they have Ms. Brights attention and have been disarmed. Two into the crowd moving down baltimore two in each direction on 82nd where there is less of a crowd. Three are charging at the figure that was skulking along baltimore east deeper into the fens. They all try to jump him only one manages to get a hit in and it doesn't look to do much beyond piss off the guy they are attacking. The Crowd is in a full panic now, not helped by both the gangsters and supers in their midst and break into a full run west on Baltimore toward Grenville and the barricades there. Top of Round Three: Superbeast has his involuntary transformation triggered and goes full wolfman. He lets out a bloodcurdling howl and triggers his Fearsome Presence which is a DC 15 Will save. The three royals that were just punching him all fail and cower. The back of the crowd is in range and also affected pushing harder driving more of a panicked rush around Shooting Star and her opponent and making it much more difficult to pick out the gangsters that joined the crowd. ROUND 3 30 Superbeast (Uninjured) 26 Gauss 3HP (Uninjured, Will be fatigued next round) 22 88's Minions (1 In Crowd (DC 25 notice to track them in the crowd), 2 bleeding out, 1 unconcious, 1 Grappled by Shooting Star) 21 Shooting Star 3HP (Uninjured) 15 Ms. Bright 3HP (Uninjured) 10 Royals Minions (4 fleeing, 2 in crowd (DC 25 notice to track them in the crowd), 3 cowering in terror) 1 Crowd Bystanders (Panicked) I need a DC 15 will save from each of you and Gauss is up. @Tiffany Korta @Azuth65 @Kaede Kimura
  16. Ace smiled despite himself at her wide eyed wonder at even the mundane procedures of the day. "I suppose we do at that." the old adventurer agreed softly. He flashed the winning Danger smile to the youth at the ticket stand and flashed his pass to gain them entry, "She's not wrong my boy don't forget it." he offered with a wink and tucking an arm to Andromeda's waist led her through the turnstile to board the coaster. He led Andromeda to the front managing to get them seats in the first car if not the very front. He helped the stellar being fasten herself in less for her own safety than for other passengers and the sensibilities of those below that would doubtless be mortified if she even safely was flung from the ride. Ratcheting his own restraints into place once she was settled he gave Andromeda a quick nod, "Here we go, you've gone faster I'm sure but not quite like this." he joked easily and screwed his signature hat down on his brow lest it be blown free.
  17. "The Centurion it is." Ace answered with a smile and began picking their way toward the gate to the storied coaster. He didn't bother explaining the effects of adrenaline triggered by the g-forces in the loops and twists of the ride. She was new, ish, not a fool after all. She craved experience and that was something Ace could understand. He thoughtfully chewed his own churro and shrugged, "There are contests, and reviewers." he admitted with a shrug, "And these have ranked well in those estimations." he noted quickly to not disparage that which he had talked up so recently. "But it is a subjective judgement regardless." he agreed readily with her hypothesis. "Contests and reviews tend to focus on the more quantifiable portions of the experience, dough flavor and consistency, the cook, crispy out soft within, the balance of sweet and spice in the coating and just enough oil to be moist without greasy." he explained as they waited in line completely unphased by the occasional stare the pair earned even in Freedom people like Andromeda did draw attention. "But there are ephemeral factors as well." he was pleased to elaborate, "The Churro shack is an institution on this boardwalk. I remember getting treats there when Carlos great grandfather opened it." he reminisced fondly. "People have been coming with family for generations to try it so it has memories beyond just the flavor and the texture, and the scent alone can take one back to the first one you tried or first you shared with someone." he said with a smile down at the curious stellar being at his side.
  18. And we're out of rounds. the nanite swarm is bound and helpless. I think spaceman can move it still in that state... the basement is threatning to collapse. and probably will before the scanevngers can walk themselves out unless one of you has a stunt left to repair the supports or wants to pull a classic hold up the collapsing building manuever. If it does collapse it will cause more damage above, at least to the street maybe to the houses nearby, certainly a risk if any civilians are gawking near the top of the sinkhole. So need to get the nanites out the scavengers out (probably both of you) and maybe stop or delay the collapse. Lemme know what you want to try!
  19. The mass wasn't easy to contain, it morphed and elongated shifting into myriad forms as it evaded the twisting of space itself trying to contain it. But finally Spaceman was able to close the loop and the writhing mass flowed through the redirected flow of space probing for weakness and finding none as it branched and reformed trying to desperately to evade the tightening control of its movement. But it was done. The entity pulsed and surged against it's confinement finding no weakness to exploit. It's focus on escape the faces rotated through it's form, an arm, a hand clothing even. Everything it had absorbed was memorized at a molecular level and recreated for moments at a time before collapsing with too little control to be maintained. But something of the people absorbed remained. If it could be saved, even separated was another question. A question it appeared would need to wait for another day as the damage caused by the battle and the nanite swarms absorption of raw materials had weakened the substructure of hte basement base further and it groaned threatening to collapse. Quick actions by the heroes might yet save the streets and buildings above, but someone needed to get both the remaining scavengers and thier foe out of the basement as well.
  20. Reflex save 1d20+10=23 success Toughness save 1d20+7=17 Bruised
  21. Red Lynx Initiative: 1d20+5=24
  22. I'll get an IC up tomorrow
  23. Reflex Save V. Snare = 11 fail by 9 Bound and Helpless
  24. That'd be one of the Royals at this point but they are in move acton range so you can move and punch. Toughness save is 18 so one is KO'd
  25. Right Ability Damage specifically covers non drain (or maybe similar powers) effects so yea slow fade would apply. That's what I get for replying without booting to the partition with my pdfs. It says drain Normally has no effect on objects. That is because drain Normally provokes a fort save. Changing the save type means it no longer provokes a fort save so objects could be affected. Toughness is pretty specifically resistance to damage. I might go for toughness over for on an objects only effect. But it wouldn't make much sense on a living target. Fort covers that sort of resistance. I'd not approve those powers as toughness saves as they stand. What you describe is pretty solidly fortitude on living things so leaving it as fort makes the most sense. Attack insubstantial remains a sustained effect which I'm not sure how that works with whatever that gun is supposed to be lobbing. I think there are alot of better effects to use to disable people (stun, paralyze, fatigue, nauseate) that could be amde to work with descriptors and not be the hassle to adjudicate that this kind of attack insubstantial would be. Also why does hte effect to turn people insubstantial have affects insubstantial on it? The dimensional I may have missed that part of the feat so it would be a single other dimension by default. Still not sure the why or how of it being dimensional at that scale though. Particularly for an aoe effect. I think the whole concept honestly needs some refining of what that gun is supposed to be.
