Yea full move will get you on the train

GM Post Though not much of a liar certainly the armored soldier was highly trained in tactics and situational awareness. He saw through the fanciful maneuvers as his bluff was called and whirled out of the way, "I choose option three." his voice was distorted to a flat tone by the suits speakers but the cocky soldier of fortune attitude came through just fine, "I walk out of here and collect my pay and you earn yourself a nice memorial for the sheep to leave flowers at every year." As he finished speaking the remaining merc in the train with him wheeled with surprising speed, probably juiced on Zoom or something and charged Gauss lifting the ex-pat bodily and slamming him through the doors and back a car out of sight. The merc set the woman behind him and stepped forward, "Just me and you now ninja boy."

Alright Saithor I'll get a quick post in and fiat you out of the scene till you get back Also Sense Motive for Backup 3; 1d20+9=29: Orkos hates heroes. He'll retain his dodge bonus and the attack will miss. going to fiat that Backup Five tackles Gauss back into the next train car back Take an HP Saithor you'll be soloing him once you're able to post again. Initiative Kingsnake 18 0HP Uninjured Mobsters 18 KO'd Miras 16 2HP (Fatigued) Phalanx 16 4HP Uninjured Backup(Pilot) 16 Uninjured (Bailed out) Backup(gunner)16 Uninjured; Disarmed, Paralyzed, crashing Backup(One) 16 Uninjured Backup(Two) 16 Uninjured Backup(Three) 16 Bruised x 1 Backup(Four) 16 Uninjured Backup(Five) 16 Uninjured Gauss 12 1HP Bruised x 1, Fatigued Sidebar combat Miras is up, you can get to the train this round with a full action (whatever combination of flight and speed you want to describe) and can burn an HP to get back into the action with a move action (Technically it would take a couple rounds to catch up to the moving fight but that's less fun.)

Ellis listened carefully to the angels words, he may have lacked Fluers skills with people but he wasn't without his own understanding of people and could well enough read between the lines. "So not sent to learn to better value creation so much as perhaps to understand it." he mused with a smirk creeping to his lips as he looked over the enochian tattoos now more visible that he knew what to look for. He cocked his head at the last answer to Fluers line of questioning and the slip as well and a small laugh broke his veneer, "Ah sent to experiance the mortal life and yet you use magic to unlock or ape your lost celestial might." he suggested with a questioning brow as he glanced to Fluer, "So it seems at the least not Fallen if a bit of a Renegade."

GM Post Things were clearly getting too hot to handle while their armor so far had mostly held out the mercs had lost their transport and two of their members flying it. Matters needed to be rectified before things got worse still. Executing a practiced in formation swoop the armored foes facing off against phalanx swung low two peeling off to begin cutting the car free from the train thier arm mounted lasers blazing as they slowly sliced through the strengthened metal of the junction. Third swung around to fire a trial of blaster fire at the hovering paragon holding him in place for one of his fellows in the train below to slowly charge and aim a powerful blast of energy. The exploding sphere of energized particles slammed into the back of the mighty flier with a blinding light leaving a hole in his morphic molecule cape and a dark scoring of scorches along his back and shoulders. Meanwhile in the train Kingsnake and Gauss faced off against the remaining mercenary as the speakers built into his suit sparked to life, "One more step and she's dead!" he demanded as his hand raised aiming his blaster at her head, the woman seemed frozen in place in fear no longer even struggling as the mercenary tried to back away, "Move aside and we'll be taking our prize."

Backup One and Two Move Action: move to the head of the car flying alongside it. Standard Action: Begin cutting the car loose from the rest of the train. Backup Three Move Action: Threaten his hostage if Kingsnake does not back down bluff Check: 1d20 + 0 = 5: He is not very convincing! Standard Action: Ready an action to blast his hostage! (If you make the bluff DC you can tell he's actually going full defense) Backup Four Move Action: Fast Startle on Phalanx, Phalanx is fearless so ineffective Standard Action: Aid Backup Fives attack on Phalanx 1d20+9=20: Success Backup five gains +2 to hit. Backup Five Standard Action: Full Power Attack Phalanx 1d20+6=20: Hit DC 31 Toughness Save Phalanx Toughness Save DC 31 1d20+20=26: Bruised and Dazed Thanks Orkos Initiative Kingsnake 18 1HP Uninjured Mobsters 18 KO'd Miras 16 2HP (Fatigued) Phalanx 16 4HP Uninjured Backup(Pilot) 16 Uninjured (Bailed out) Backup(gunner)16 Uninjured; Disarmed, Paralyzed, crashing Backup(One) 16 Uninjured Backup(Two) 16 Uninjured Backup(Three) 16 Bruised x 1 Backup(Four) 16 Uninjured Backup(Five) 16 Uninjured Gauss 12 0HP Bruised x 1, Fatigued Gauss is up. Keep in mind that while she's not fighting back the woman is technically in melee with him and thus imposes a -4 to hit without precise shot.

As Miras successfully freed the gunner from the out of control VTOL Transport depositing him safely to the ground Phalanx breathed a sigh of relief. The police had cordoned off the area under the tracks already so the crash zone was at least safe as the transport tumbled and spun out of control to its fiery end. Turning his attention back to the mercenaries on the attack he shook his head in disappointment and flew up to the group still clustered at the hole they had wrought. As he approached and maneuvered peering through their masks he tried to commit each face to memory should they escape he sought an opening though they were loath to provide one. He snapped a quick jab at one but a last minute shift turned the telling blow to a glancing one. These mercs were not as low rent as their compatriots below would indicate it seemed.

alright with the Transport in the clear Phalanx will act. Move Action: fly up to the three mercs still hovering around the hole Standard Action: attack number four; Attack Roll 1d20 + 12 = 17: Thanks Orkos, HP to Reroll; 1d20+12=13 woof thank god for the reroll +10 making that a 23 and a hit: DC 27 Toughness save. Backup toughness save DC 27 1d20+11 = 31: No sell. It's like Orkos knows who I'm rolling for. Initiative Kingsnake 18 1HP Uninjured Mobsters 18 KO'd Miras 16 2HP (Fatigued) Phalanx 16 4HP Uninjured Backup(Pilot) 16 Uninjured (Bailed out) Backup(gunner)16 Uninjured; Disarmed, Paralyzed, crashing Backup(One) 16 Uninjured Backup(Two) 16 Uninjured Backup(Three) 16 Bruised x 1 Backup(Four) 16 Uninjured Backup(Five) 16 Uninjured Gauss 12 0HP Bruised x 1, Fatigued Backup is up.

Ellis fixed ray a steely gaze, "I've had enough of that debate with people to know it's not worthwhile." he stated edgily and shrugged moving on, "Theology aside, as much as it can be in this conversation," he suggested with some care as he glanced to Fluer, "I and it sounds like Fluer as well would feel more comfortable with less caggy half answers." the Doctor intimated as he stepped aside and started in on the discharge paperwork. Either way this guy would be leaving sooner rather than later. He turned back at Fleurs more pointed question and nodded agreement, "Even on sabbatical I'm sure you can understand our concerns." he said pleasantly though not warmly, a specialty of doctors as it turned out.

Sense Motive VS Demoralize; 1d20+9 = 17: Shaken Toughness save DC 23; 1d20+9 = 22: Bruised OK Rav so Miras is strength 10 and fatigued so effective strength 8 which has a heavy load of 80LBS this guy is over double that over even your max lift currently. So if you spend the HP to clear your fatigue and Extra effort for +5 effective strength for carry capacity you can get up to 15 effective lifting strength and a 200 LB heavy load and be able to carry him down to the surface. So you'd spend an HP to clear the fatigue then fatigue yourself again to up your carry, in other words spend an HP and you can pull it off as you wrote. Alternately it's a free action to activate his grav-chute since he's helpless if you'd rather that.

Phalanx will hold his action to verify everyone gets clear of the Transport. Initiative Phalanx 24 5HP Uninjured, Holding Kingsnake 18 1HP Uninjured Mobsters 18 KO'd Miras 16 2HP (Fatigued) Backup(Pilot) 16 Uninjured (Bailed out) Backup(gunner)16 Uninjured; Disarmed, Paralyzed, crashing Backup(One) 16 Uninjured Backup(Two) 16 Uninjured Backup(Three) 16 Uninjured Backup(Four) 16 Uninjured Backup(Five) 16 Uninjured Gauss 12 0HP Bruised x 1, Fatigued Kingsnake is up.

Mike filled a glass with ice and pulled a chilled bottled water from the mini fridge to place next to the cup as he brought it over as well as a tall glass for Alex not sure how long either of them might be under for this endeavor, sometimes these things took a while. Running a comforting hand over Alexs shoulder her flashed a smile at Dancia, "It'll be the large hollow space should you wander there." he joked self deprecatingly. Taking a seat a bti apart form the ladies he pulled a textbook off the table and began to leaf through it skimming though only at normal speed for the time being so as to be less distracting. He spent enough time at her office it was worthwhile having some of his books here for such eventualities. With his schedule he really did need every spare moment for studying.

Yes you all are close enough to make the check as it is more fun that way regardless. No worries Saithor I give a minimum of 24 hours for people to post before moving on and even then only if the thread is dragging over all and everyone here is pretty on top of it so we're all good. for Good measure; Phalanx Sense Motive DC 18 1d20+8=26: Success. Initiative Phalanx 24 5HP Uninjured Kingsnake 18 1HP Uninjured Mobsters 18 KO'd Miras 16 2HP (Fatigued) Backup(Pilot) 16 Uninjured (Bailed out) Backup(gunner)16 Uninjured; Disarmed, Paralyzed, crashing Backup(One) 16 Uninjured Backup(Two) 16 Uninjured Backup(Three) 16 Uninjured Backup(Four) 16 Uninjured Backup(Five) 16 Uninjured Gauss 12 1HP Bruised x 1, Dazed, Fatigued Gauss is up, Sai you can spend your HP to clear your dazed or your fatigue (though not much reason to clear the fatigue with the daze still in effect) Or neither and you can just post a response to getting hit.

GM Post The swarthy sorceress' spell had thrown the mercenaries into disarray but they were professionals and unfortunately her illusion did not match with the operations meticulous planning and after a moment they were able to throw off the enchantment. She had however delayed the orderly breach and contain maneuver that had been planned giving Kingsnake all the opportunity the agile vigilante needed to vault through their midst and draw their fire back with him toward the speeding transport. Most of the haphazard shots merely scattered harmlessly across the armored hull of the aircraft however with careful maneuvering and timing one burst of scintillating energy cut past his careful maneuvers to blow apart the command and control console in front of the pilot. The Transport lurched under the passengers as the controls shorted out tossing all but the time locked gunner about the open cabin, the pilot struggled for a moment with the unresponsive controls before vaulting from the vehicle activating a gravity reducing harness as he did so to slow his fall towards earth, unfortunately for him the rudimentary grav-chute lacked fine controls and he drifted slowly towards the waiting arms of the FCPD. Not that our heroes had time to study his descent with the pilot completely absent and the controls a smouldering ruin the craft tipped dangerously toward the earth as it began to tumble out of the air threatening to take the heroes on board with it. The remaining mercs continued to adhere to their plan however and while several opened fire fire on the heroes in the train and the transport above one dove into the passenger compartment and roughly grabbed the woman who had earlier fled into the train car. Any close enough might overhear him state that the target had been secured and that the team was preparing alternate egress. Those that remained maneuvered on thrusters for a clear shot and took it with terrible accuracy as lines of lambent scarlet cut the air to strike at the heroes.

Backup (Pilot) Will try and retain some kind of control of the craft as a standard action; Pilot check DC 25 1d20+9=13: Nurp! He will use a move action to bail out and activate his grav chute. Backup (Gunner) Stands very very Still Backup (one) Will Turn to fire on Kingsnake 1d20+11=26: A miss but a good thing he doubled his defense! The trick is successful and will fry the controls. Backup(Two) Attacks Phalanx 1d20+11=28: Hit, His damage is Below Phalanxs Impervious. Backup(Three) Descends into the train and Initiates a grapple on the Woman who was chased onto the Train and grabs her. Sense motive DC 18: to notice she let herself be grabbed. Backup(Four) Descends into the Train and fires on Gauss; 1d20+11=23: Hit DC 24 toughness Save Backup(Five) fires at Miras at -2(circumstance penalty for crashing transport): 1d20+9=22 Hit DC 24 toughness Save Initiative Phalanx 24 5HP Uninjured Kingsnake 18 1HP Uninjured Mobsters 18 KO'd Miras 16 2HP (Fatigued) Backup(Pilot) 16 Uninjured (Bailed out) Backup(gunner)16 Uninjured; Disarmed, Paralyzed, crashing Backup(One) 16 Uninjured; Tricked Backup(Two) 16 Uninjured Backup(Three) 16 Uninjured Backup(Four) 16 Uninjured Backup(Five) 16 Uninjured Gauss 12 1HP (Fatigued can spend HP to clear) I Need a DC 24 Toughness Save from Miras and Gauss The Transport is Crashing Getting out and back to the train will require a DC 25 Acrobatics check or Flight. Miras and Kingsnake can each have an HP for the setback. DC 18 Sense motive to recognize the woman is in league with the Mercs. Gauss is up once I get the IC up after dinner.

Mike dutifully dipped his head and pulled the glasses from his face at his fiance's request. As his hand dropped to his side he stood a bit taller still the 'I'm to large for this world' slouch of the very tall vanished as he set his shoulders back and a small confident smile crept to his lips. Much of his body language was keyed to Phalanx rather than the more mild mannered behaviors Mike normally exhibited. He Looked down at Alex and Dancia and quirked a brow, "Satisfied?" He asked in a low rumble and with a nod dipped his head to replace the glasses and hunched in on himself more once again as he peered out through the might as well be empty frames. Stepping off the elevator he waited for the ladies before following into Alexs office and motioning for the diminutive psychic to have a seat, "You have work to do I can manage drinks I think." he joked lightly and looked questioning to Dancia for a response.

It's not a mighty paralyze so it'll be DC 20 Fort Save DC 20; 1d20+6 = 12: Fail by Eight, Paralyzed and helpless. Initiative Phalanx 24 5HP Uninjured Kingsnake 18 1HP Uninjured Mobsters 18 KO'd Miras 16 1HP (Fatigued) Backup(Pilot) 16 Uninjured Backup(gunner)16 Uninjured; Disarmed, Paralyzed Backup(One) 16 Uninjured; Tricked Backup(Two) 16 Uninjured Backup(Three) 16 Uninjured Backup(Four) 16 Uninjured Backup(Five) 16 Uninjured Gauss 12 1HP (Fatigued can spend HP to clear) I'll get the backups actions going once the IC for Miras is up.

Technically the Power Mercs all jumped out and are flying above the train, but there is nothing stopping the action form being effective as you grapnel onto the transport. So Sense Motive DC 25; 1d20+9 = 22: Failure, He will shoot at Kingsnake/the cockpit controls on his round. Gonna say that is Backup One. Initiative Phalanx 24 5HP Uninjured Kingsnake 18 1HP Uninjured Mobsters 18 KO'd Miras 16 1HP (Fatigued, can spend HP to clear) Backup(Pilot) 16 Uninjured Backup(gunner)16 Uninjured; Disarmed Backup(One) 16 Uninjured; Tricked Backup(Two) 16 Uninjured Backup(Three) 16 Uninjured Backup(Four) 16 Uninjured Backup(Five) 16 Uninjured Gauss 12 1HP (Fatigued can spend HP to clear) Miras is Up.

Ellis let out an exasperated sigh, "No you are..." he paused and looked to Fleur and her acceptance of the mans claims raising a brow, "Really? I kinda thought that was a gimmick, like an actual fluffy cloud heaven angel?" he asked incredulously. He paused to address Ray just in case, "No offense suffice to say life's events have left my faith in an all loving all powerful deity more than a little bruised." He'd really rather not get into that whole realm nor the circular theological debates of the faithful so he offered a non-plussed shrug, "If you believe him I'll not argue." he said gently to Fleur and raised a brow, "but he really doesn't fit the bill." he pointed out idly.
-
Ellis frowned at Ray both for his rather crude take on human courtship and the more direct needling about his grooming. He was about to respond but Fleur sidetracked him with her oblique complement and he flashed her a small smile before focusing back on Ray once more. The doctor crossed his arms at the display of power and nodded to Fluers question. "Yes you clearly have something to say if in the most irksome manner you can manage." he inquired testily and huffed out a breath. This nonsense was why most sane docs trade out of ER hours.
-
"I said we'd see about higher powers if St - Fleur De Joie was uncertain of your bona fides." he stumbled and stared hard at the floor, "And I did not!" he exclaimed eyeing the tattooed troublemaker with a tight jaw. He let out a small breath and explained aside to Stesha, "He's been given medication to manage his pain, he feels it insufficient." the doctors tone was clipped for the last as he had done enough work in pain management to have little love for drug seekers making legitimate users lives more difficult with their gaming the system. He stepped back as Fleur began to question the uncouth supposed hero, letting her do her work which seemed to be working better than his attempts already thankfully.

Mike listened as Triakosia elaborated on her problems, "Well I imagine you've already looked into it but I'm pretty sure no one operated under that name until a few years ago." he offered with a shrug as he was pretty sure if there had been Mark woudl have mentioned it. Then again Mike had tuned out when Mark began discussing fourth string national teams from alt earth third world nations so might have missed the more obscure options. He shrugged a little uncertain how much he could really offer on the subject. His brow grew knitted with concern at Alex's words, he knew well the impact her nights in Erins mind and worse dealing with singularity among others had left upon the young psychic. He reflexively offered his fiance a gentle squeeze on the shoulder and looked to Tirakosia with confidence, "I'm sure Alex will be able to help." he assured the fellow paragon.

Ellis fixed a steely gaze on Ray, "You young man are hardly qualified to make that call." he said with a smirk about the quality of his doctoring, "Anti-Inflammatories and alternating heat and cold will relieve your pain and speed your recovery far better than the opiates you seem so set upon." The doctor explained briskly he opened his mouth to explain in greater detail the actions and indications of the drugs in question however Ray was saved that lecture by Fluers timely arrival. Ellis spoke quietly, "Yes come in." he invited and met her warm smile with one of his own. "Thank you again for coming on such short notice." he offered once more and indicated Ray with a wave of his hand, "Ray Haskel, His file says an unfortunate run in with stairs however he has claimed that lie was to cover for the lizard-thing he heroically engaged." he offered succinctly, "He has powers drawn from his Tattoos, enochian script of binding or some such." he explained quietly. He glanced at Ray and stepped aside to let Stesha get a better look, "I mostly wanted to ensure my surely patient was not in fact a suspect in any ongoing matter." he looked once more to Stesha, "He claims to be on the side of angels but his demeanor says otherwise."
