Leilani's entire heroing career, as well as her identity was a matter of public record, easy enough for Salvo to pull up certainly. The original Auxilary League members had investigated a disturbance on the big island of Hawaii that had turned out to be the geothermic elemental. She'd been frozen in time under the earth's crust for decades and her powers had been not entirely controlled. She was often seen in company of Comrade Frost since her arrival in Freedom City, partially due to the fact that the thermavore could cancel her powers out. "Oh, of course. I'm actually using them just a bit right now," Leilani replied with a nod towards Comrade Frost and the chill that she was actively relieving in the air. It was certainly just a touch warmer around Leilani than the rest of the room. "I'm a geothermic elemental... I control and sense earth, heat... lava. If you've seen me, it's probably been when I'm armored up. I look a little like a rock monster. At the moment, I'm feeding heat into the vacuum that is Dimitri to hopefully make things a little more comfortable for everyone. It's nice to see you back in Freedom City, Mona. I've seen the videos of some of your exploits. I watched a lot of tv to get caught up on everything I missed."

As Legatus and Nephilim landed near the edge of the water, urging the frightened population back, the waters of the lake roiled and parted until the crater in the lake was revealed with a single pale woman standing in the divot. She was humanoid but certainly not human and her white curls danced about her head as if caught in an invisible wind. She wore unusual clothing; a white suit with a sheer pink cape that covered her almost like a robe. "I'm so sorry," she said to one of the panicked fish dashing from the new currents generated in their usual placid home. "There's just so much life here. It's hard to find a good place to land! It's alright, I'm putting you back right now." Floating out of the lake, a sweep of her hands sent the water back to fill in and settle before she landed on the bank behind the two heroes. "Hello, Earthlings. Hello, hello! My goodness. I knew it was busy but its so BUSY." Her glittering red gaze fixed first Legatus where she squinted before decided, "You're a juvenile aren't you? Hello, earth child!" Before her fascinated gaze landed on Nephlim's wings. "Oh, how lovely! What a lovely creature you are. Do feathers tickle? It seems like they would tickle and you can't exactly ask birds. Well you can, I suppose, but their answers are bound to be a little opaque and probably distracted."

Janus' chuckle was warm, pulling back their hand when the dragon transformed. "Of a sort. What I do is not exactly what I'd call magic," Janus demurred, having strong opinions about what magic was and wasn't from their time in their home dimension. No matter how many times it was pointed out that their blade was made of magic, the Danger never agreed. It was their soul blade, nothing more and nothing less. Janus dropped down onto the bench holding their blades and went to wipe off the practice blade before putting it away. "Neither Dio or I will be bothered by it overmuch but some of the students are touchy. Huang, for example, is a lovely lad but has strong feelings about the character assassination of creatures of the night. Understandably so, I suppose, but it's worth noting. What year are you in, Felix? I'm in my third year here - although I transferred in last year, you could say. We didn't exactly 'do' high school where I came from. Not in the American sense, at least. I fought ogres and trolls, however." Janus blew out a soft, wistful sigh; they clearly missed their home world.

Janus watched with some amusement as the new student not-so-subtly interposed his frame between Janus and the dragon. "Dio, you are worrying the lad with your dramatics. He isn't looking to actually be murdered. He is merely depressed over recent affairs," Janus said, the words not unkind. They swung the blade back down, setting it on the bench with the rest of their equipment before stepping around to reach the dragon. Janus reached out to pat the dragon's neck with one slender, calloused hand. Janus had spent the last year struggling with depression themselves but it was finally starting to ease. The prince of Fortuna had a great deal of sympathy for anyone struggling with similar issues. "It will get better, my friend, as bleak as things might seem now, but if you speak of courting death, you will get drug into another round of discussions with the school therapist. I shan't report you, you know, but someone will." Janus turned their attention back to Felix, arching one rose brow high. The Danger's mouth curved in wry amusement. "And while the sentiment is appreciated, a word of friendly advice; appearances can be deceiving on both ends. We have some touchy students that will resent being seen as needing protection as well as some that will grow offended at being assumed to be 'monstrous' - reasonably enough! If it's a student here at Claremont, you can assume that they're not likely to start a rampage or faint behind the peonies at the first sign of a threat."

"I'll give you what I can," Robin offered with a nod of agreement. She fished into the pocket of her jeans and pulled out her mask before pressing it into place over her eyes and nose. She didn't exactly hide her identity but she didn't want to be caught on cameras driving a stolen car either. The police forgave super heroing only so far. "Good luck, kid." With that, she dropped down once more, her tightly coiled stroll stretching into something more lazy and predatory. It was down right taunting, and deliberately so. When Robin reached the car, she cocked her prosthetic arm and slammed the elbow into the glass of the driver's side window before she slid into the seat. Just as criminals started tearing out of the building to investigate the noise, the roar of the engine cut through the quiet night. Kam was treated to the sight of a handful of gang members dressed like cards and cursing a blue streak as they tried to scramble for other vehicles. It did not escape anyone's notice that Robin thrust a single bare hand from the car window and distinctly flipped them the bird as she ground the pedal to the floorboards. Call it extra motivation!

Volcanic was used to the teleporter as well as the LightHouse. This wasn't her first trip as she was often seen in Comrade Frost's company but often she was sheathed in burning rock. There was no need for her alternate form outside of combat situations. Without the flame and obsidian, Leilani was a short fit woman with tanned skin and short dark hair. The most striking feature were her eyes. One was bright blue while the other was a warm brown. Leilani wore her costume though, really, it was closer to gym clothes than anything. Made of morphic molecules, the orange and red onepiece could withstand the heat of her powers without burning and her feet were bare. Leilani chatted politely with the employee that showed her to the transporter although she knew the way and stepped out. She followed Fulcrum through and stepped out to the side wincing a little at the feel of the space station below her bare feet. She'd gotten used to the sensation but being separated from her planet wasn't ever an entirely pleasant experience. It wasn't painful, per say, but she was always aware when she was no longer in contact with the planet. Even alien worlds felt vaguely wrong. Rather than watch the view of the Earth below - something that would only make her vague vertigo more unpleasant - Leilani winked once at Dmitri before she bumped the ambient temperature back up just a bit to counter his natural vacuum of warmth before she turned to Fulcrum. "Aloha," the elemental offered cheerfully along with one bare hand. Thankfully, Leilani worried much less about accidentally burning people with casual contact these days. "My name is Leilani though they call me Volcanic."

About: ErosUnlimited is the brain child of Pamela Underbotten-Schneider. In her youth, she manifested minor psychic abilities, empathy primarily and a talent for illusions. For a while, she did the super hero thing in the late nineties as a little known hero, the Mesmerist, but hung up her cape when she met a fellow c-list super hero, Mathemagician, and fell in love. Carl Schneider went into accounting, where he excelled, while Pamela got her degree and eventually became a couple's therapist. Even though both Carl and Pamela were retired from that life, they still had friends and contacts among the metahuman community and Pamela found herself with an ever growing client list of super heroes dealing with bumps in their marriage. Meeting in masks on a rooftop was all well and good in theory but super hero life puts a lot of stress on relationships especially when it was based on rocky foundations. Pam and Carl might not be superheroes any more but that didn't mean they'd lost the drive to help people! It took two years and a loan, but they managed to employee a few of their retired friends into the team of ErosUnlimited. Their tech savant ensures that their databases are entirely secure, Carl runs the books and deals with the business end while Pam is the face of ErosUnlimited as the MatchMaker. They vet their employees utterly and completely to ensure that their service is as secure as its promised and as affordable as possible. Not every super hero is a tech wizard, but everyone deserves to find love. Profile Template: Searchable Profile [Descriptions of Photos (2-3)] Name: Using just your first name is encouraged but an alias is also acceptable though it should have an * next it as it will be marked as an alias. Some people are into an extra level of paranoia in their partner (Pam is quick to point that out to the more nervous Eros members.) Gender: Male, Female, Non-Binary and you are welcome to opt out entirely of this question if you prefer. Preferred Era of Pop Culture: Age is pretty useless in the super hero community. We all know someone immortal that's lived forever, but some of us love the eighties and some of us love the eighteen eighties. Don't worry, someone is out there for YOU. About you: Tell us a little about you. Do you save the world, or fight street crime? Are you a caffeine addict or do you like spending all your spare time at the beach? Again, honesty is the key to forming a serious connection. Fun Prompts! My Favorite Thing About The Place I Live Is.... Most People Who Know Me Would Say I'm... My Favorite Childhood Memory Is... Five Things I Am Not... Private Letter to ErosUnlimited [I'd put this in a spoiler tag so that the thread reads like the public website] This is the information that you'd want the MatchMaker to know but wouldn't want stuck to your profile out there for everyone. Maybe you have a nemesis with a bad habit of killing your significant others. Or maybe you have a messy dating history in the super hero community and are looking for a fresh start. Or you're an alien and need some help with how 'that all' works. Who knows! It's the information you'd give so that your suggestions from Pam would be curated to your needs without having everyone able to scroll by the tragic 'I lost my wife' story. Not every super hero is a tech wizard, but everyone deserves to find love. Proposal: In the Character news section, we put a pinned post for the dating profile submitted to ErosUnlimited. Like the 20Q, and HellQ, it can net you a PP per character submitted to it though it should be for characters actually interested in trying out a dating website. It needs to include what the hero wants submitted to be 'searchable' by others looking for matches. I'll run Pam's character and will totally run in person meetings with Pam to anyone that it appeals to along with ErosUnlimited social events that anyone can attend. This should be for characters 18 and over, I figure as you don't have minors on the same dating site as grown ups! Janus was so very bored. The teenage swordsmaster was waiting on their sparring partner. Frankly, Janus suspected that Kam, the Red Lynx, had another late night sneaking out to the city with his mystery girlfriend. True to their word, Janus had kept mum on the issue and provided an easy alibi but if Kam stood Janus up for morning practice, the prince of Dakana was going to be due some ribbing. Still, if nothing else, Janus could start on warm ups which is exactly what they were doing. With a practice blade in hand - blunt and heavier weighted than the one sitting over by the bench still in its sheath, Janus was going through the forms when they caught sight of a newcomer to the field. Arresting the blade mid-swing, Janus paused to squint at the new kid. They looked vaguely familiar but hell if Janus could place the face. "Hey, new kid!" Janus offered in their faintly accented English, along with the wide, friendly smile that was classic Danger. Resting the practice blade against one lean shoulder, Janus asked cheerfully, "Don't suppose that you fence? My sparring partner is running late. The name is Janus, by the way."

Location: Liberty Park Date: July 22, 2019; 10:07 AM Star Child It was a lovely morning in Liberty Park, not yet hot enough to drive people to air conditioned environments and full of summer sunlight. Children were playing, there were teens skateboarding along the path. The athletic fields were full of people playing mid-morning matches of one sport or another. It was a perfect, peaceful Freedom City morning in July though if anyone was was used to how things could change in an instant, it was the citizens of Freedom City. There were a few scattered shouts as people sun bathing or otherwise paying attention to the sky noticed the sudden streak of light. Of course, it could be a super hero with a contrail but it just... didn't look quite right. Freedom City was used to seeing the occasional flying form in the sky. This... well, it didn't look anything like that! For one thing, it was coming straight down towards the park with a glowing red contrail. "Oh my god, its a meteor!" That's about when people started to grab things and run just in case. A few - a very few - eagle eyed individuals, watching the rock drop out of the heavens noticed that it swerved suddenly. Where it should have impacted the athletic field, right in the middle of a soccer match, it veered suddenly and sharply, landing with a splash and a column of hissing steam at the edge of Sunset Lake instead, just across the path from the shocked soccer players.

We could kill two birds with one stone and have Dio and Legatus find her and then have Triakosia show up as I know Secondling wanted to have Legatus meet her? How's that sound for folks?

"I can manage," Robin replied wryly. "I get to be the distraction, I take it? Where are you going to get the filler and how long do you need me to give you?" Robin stretched a little, popping her neck and shoulders before she started to shrug out of her jacket. On the off chance the car exploded or worse with this plan, Robin really didn't want to go through the efforts of replacing it again. It had been a big enough pain the last time her jacket had been ruined and finances weren't exactly flowing at her PI agency. She didn't like to lean on Fred anymore than she absolutely had to. Without her jacket, this close, Kam could see that even if she had super powers, her body was all muscle. Her good arm had faint scars here and there that attested to the fact that regardless of her appearance, she'd been at this game a long time. The prosthetic arm attached just below her shoulder joint and unlike many of the Dakanan biotic replacements, was designed to be removed so it didn't meet smoothly with her flesh but came up and over where the missing limb had been sheared off.

Hey folks! I'm introing my new character Star Child with her looking like a meteor landing in the park. Is anyone interested in stumbling over her and maybe contacting some think tank or super hero team to look into things further? Or a team member want to stumble on her? I'm pretty open for anything!

Robin ghosted through the shadows, her sneakers making no sound on the packed dirt of the junkyard floor. Gracefully, she leapt up to the bottom of the lookout's perch and in one smooth, silent movement, flipped into the small landing. Before the man could turn or shout, Robin had clamped one silver hand over his mouth and with a single precise strike to his temple, knocked the man out. She caught his full weight and lowered him to the ground. Once she'd bound him with zip ties and a gag to prevent any sound, Robin tucked the man into a dark alcove where he wouldn't be tripped over. Just as silently, she made her way back to her apparent partner for the evening. She appeared out of the shadows, having taken a few moments to pull her dark curls back from her features. Her grey eyes caught the light. "So, what have we got?" It was just a whisper of sound. "You got a plan, kid?"

"Well, there's a truly terrifying thought. I'm not sure Ace should be allowed to take care of a cactus, let alone teenagers," Phantom said, the words wry but the clear affection in her smile took the sting out of her words. There were a hint of dimples under her cowl, not unlike Huang's. "If you have any trouble and your Uncle has fallen through another portal, you're welcome to come talk to me. I swear, the only person more prone to accidental dimensional travel is Jack of All Blades and honestly, until I met him I didn't think it was possible to challenge the Danger record. Ah, well. Enjoy the party. Let me know if there's anything you need." She offered the teenagers a smile and gently squeezed Abby's shoulder with true affection although her cloak hid the gesture from much of the room. There was certainly the same sort of maternal fussing over the young mage that she'd shown her son so there were bound to be some noticing it. Her head snapped around suddenly, eyes narrowing at the spellwork of her son across the way and Taylor's gaze narrowed for a moment on the knot of people. Some magic was bound to happen at a party but Phantom was specially attuned to her son's magic and there were still, sadly, many who might threaten a dhampir. When it was clear that there was no trouble currently, the master mage relaxed and nudged the girls towards the refreshments. "The servers will steer you towards things more palatable. I should warn you that there's significant diversity in the attendees and so not everything there might be to your liking." Phantom nodded slightly towards the Deep One and the dragon as well before she stepped forward, cloak billowing behind her to lead the way. "It's so nice to meet your friends, Arcana. You're welcome to invite them to the manor sometime. How are your studies going?"

Bumping! We're reopening this for potential interest. If you have been on the list from before, please let us know if you are still interested in a Try Outs thread for the FL Aux! Here, just put your info here, like this below: Character: Volcanic Identity: Public Interested in Team Membership? Yes! (Put 'No', if you're interested in trying out but not making the cut!) Specialty (if any): Catastrophes and Natural Disasters Issues with PR: Accidentally set a beach on fire when powers emerged. (Feel free to include things that the Freedom League might ask questions about given your hero's identity) Optionally, add a little synopsis that your character might submit to the League in their efforts to join, maybe they have a mentor who's reference they'd put forward or notable exploits! -
Star Child Power Level: 10/12 (180/190 PP) Unspent Power Points: 10PP Trade-Offs: -2 Attack / +2 Damage, -2 Defense / +2 Toughness In Brief: Celestial Creature come to Earth Catchphrase: "Oh, wow!" Theme: Part of Your World Alternate Identity: Andromeda (Public) (Stellar Designation: R Andromedae - a Mira type variable star lying about four degrees southwest of the Andromeda Galaxy.) Birthplace: Spaaaaace Residence: Earth, Currently Freedom City Base of Operations: Occupation: Unemployed Affiliations: None Family: None Description: Age: Technically Ancient but very new to human life! Apparent Age: Mid twenties Gender: Usually female Ethnicity: Vaguely Elfin in appearance in her preferred form. Height: 5' 4" Weight: 146 lbs Eyes: Red Hair: White Andromeda is obviously not human although she doesn't look much like any particular race. She has some characteristics in common with the guardians that the Preserver engineered but that has more to do with her difficulty telling humanoid forms apart, rather than any actual relation. Andromeda has been watching earth for a looooong time. In her chosen form, she has delicate features and finely pointed ears. She, well, shines for lack of a better term so unless she's deliberately hiding her nature in another form, she's distinctly not human. Her curly hair tends to float around her head as if it were constantly in zero-g, regardless of the ambient wind or lack there-of. Her eyes glow a bright red, pulsing like the starlight that she used to emit. History: Andromeda has watched for ages and ages. Her solar system was devoid of any life. The planets that circled her were life less. Though she thinks of them fondly and feels a certain connection, when life began to sprout up around in other systems, she watched with rapt fascination as they crawled and then eventually took to the stars. Life moves ever so much faster than celestial bodies. It felt like they went from caves and ponds to dashing about the cosmos in their ships. As her starlight began to fade, beginning the slow death of a sun, Andromeda wrapped herself in flesh and bone and sent her newly made body to the planet that she loved to watch most: Earth. Personality & Motivation: Andromeda is a genuinely good being. She is fascinated by life in all of its many shapes and forms. She is filled with childlike wonder much of the time but with an ancient creature's full capacity to understand and extrapolate. Her primary motivation is to understand and enjoy a facsimile of 'mortal' life and, in general, wants to help those she encounters. She believes mortals are inherently good, although she understands not everyone actually acts benevolently. She doesn't always understand why that's the case. Andromeda is almost impossible to really anger; it's a rarity, certainly. Confusion or disappointment are far more common emotional reactions to negative outcomes. Andromeda doesn't really see herself AS human, although she'd dearly like to, on some level. Powers & Tactics: Despite the initial concerns of those around her, Andromeda is in full control of the abilities of this body. Her scale is so much smaller than what she's used to. Generally, Andromeda would rather talk someone out of doing Bad Things, like robbing a bank or other poor life choices. In an emergency, she'll go to her gravitational control to negate the dangerous situation as quickly as possible. Only when conflict is truly unavoidable does she resort to star bolts and then only to subdue. There is no situation that Andromeda would use lethal force on a living creature, or for that matter, anything with discernible sentience. Power Descriptions: Andromeda is (although she would take offense to the phrase 'fragment'), a fragment of a star and contains a powder keg of cosmic power. She is able to reshape reality around her with a touch of the forces of creation itself. Her power manifests with brilliant light although the color spectrum fluctuates. Her range, however, is limited. Re-shaping the world around her requires physical contact and she's starting to find some joy in shaping things for purely artistic joy although she's only JUST starting to grasp what art is so while one sculpture of stone might take the shape of something lovely, it is entirely possible that the next will be a sculpture of a billboard that captured her attention. Complications: Easily Distracted: There is so much life happening all the time, everywhere she looks. It can be hard to get her to focus on the task at hand especially without a pressing emergency. Left Her Post: When stars go missing in the night sky, it's not going to go unnoticed. Sometimes it might be a cult worshiping that pulsing red star, othertimes it might be a space faring race looking for their fallen god. It doesn't come up often but when it does, it can cause Andromeda no end of trouble. Newly Human: Stranger in a strange land. There are any number of human conventions that Andromeda Doesn't Get, from the innocuous to the truly problematic. Star Child Power Level: 10/12 (180/180 PP) Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: -2 Attack / +2 Damage, -2 Defense / +2 Toughness In Brief: Celestial Creature come to Earth Catchphrase: "Oh, wow!" Theme: Part of Your World Alternate Identity: Andromeda (Public) (Stellar Designation: R Andromedae - a Mira type variable star lying about four degrees southwest of the Andromeda Galaxy.) Birthplace: Spaaaaace Residence: Earth, Currently Freedom City Base of Operations: Occupation: Unemployed Affiliations: None Family: None Description: Age: Technically Ancient but very new to human life! "My alibi's mean you won't get caught. You've never slipped on a flagstone in your life, Kam. I doubt you're going to start now," Janus drawled, relaxing back along the couch. Absently, Janus drew the dagger to twirl it between their fingers as they tried to find a way to get through to the well meaning prince. "Certainly, no. But she understands that it's important to you. That will be enough if you make it clear that 'tis important to you." Janus shrugged, flipping the shining dagger hilt over blade in their off hand. "As for my uncle, believe me, he's the last person in the entire world to take love advice from. Trust me. I love the man but he is abysmal at managing anything deeper than the most shallow of dalliances. Stop overthinking everything, Kam. I know you hate it but really, sometimes you just have to go with your gut and your heart rather than that big brain."
