"Okay, here's what I think you should do. You're going to use your clearance to get in and then do whatever you can to set the big lizard free. Whatever will be most likely to work." Alex said to the scientist, her control still firm over the woman. "We can try and check on Whoop Ant if you want. He might just be more resistant to things." She added the last a little doubtfully.

The shock of the electricity coursing through her body drew a startled cry from Phantom's throat even as it caused the bolt of black eldritch power to go drastically wide. Her muscles spasmed, but with grim determination, she shook off the effect. "Do you really think those toys can stop something like me?"

...But, we didn't meet Eddie or Chris until this summer! Not when we were five... Alex stilled, her troubled gave going from the girl who looked so alike to the dents in the wall. Finally she glanced back as Mike hauled Zoe back to his side. Glancing from one pair of blue green eyes to another, Alex finally said, "I think all of this has been noticed. Why don't you guys see if you can put the room in order while I take Zoe to get cleaned up. I'm pretty sure that's my RA watching." Alex reached out to lightly stroke Zoe's hair soothingly and she left the connection open for whatever comfort it gave her and sent the feelings that any hurt was forgiven and forgotten. If Zoe accessed anything beyond that she would find a vague distraction as Alex's brain worked on the question of Zoe's identity as well as a slight disgruntlement at Eddie's earlier shirtless snuggle. Deeper buried beneath those was a much more primal sentiment that rippled below her active thoughts as she finished tucking Zoe's bangs back. Something protective and possesive. Alex smiled gently at Zoe, Its okay. We'll take care of you.

Phantom straightened and forced herself to shake off the strain of that little stunt. She solidified and reached out for Stesha's hand even as she felt the dimensional barriers grow tacky. "I can try.." Phantoms gloved hand closed around Fluer's and she wrapped her cloak around them both as she reached for the cell holding the men prisoner...

33 Psyche notices the hell outta things!

I'll burn that HP to clear my fatigue and teleport us (hopefully) to the boys.

"Long story." Alex said remarkabally abruptly for her before she started providing direction. "James, I need you to divert anyone else coming down here away. We'll handle this. Mike, she's shockey and flashbacking. Pull her up tight and keep your breathing calm and steady. One hand at the back of her neck." Alex leaned over to increase the contact, placing her fingertips at Zoe's temples and pressing lightly as she opened the psychic link and lowered some of her mental shields to provide some anchor. Zoe. It's okay. It's going to be okay but I need you to slow down and breathe. Can you do that for me? Just breathe for a moment, nothing else.

Alex came awake abruptly and scooted off the bed before she was even fully awake. Her bare feet never hit the ground as she floated through the doorway. Zoe! Zoe! We're here. Mike? Alex sent down the bond as she accelerated down the hall to the other room. Alex cut the flight before she careened into James. She stumbled at the landing and skirted around him. Although peripherally aware of the room, she was focused mostly on the crying girl as she cautiously made her way over and took up a place on her other side. She reached out to brush her fingerips against the other girl's face, warm against her clammy skin, "She's grieving, Mike. Oh, Zoe..."

Hopefully, this would work something like she'd planned. Phantom had skimmed over the theoretics of this before they'd left but she'd never had a chance to actually put this into practice. She phased through the initial casing of the core and put her hands against the glass containing the energy and strained. As Phantom, she was forever trapped between dimensions. Her insubstantial form was only partially here. The clothing, small odds and ends she pulled with her between without thought or effort. She'd never tried it on anything larger. She'd never dared. What was the saying? Go big, or go home? With a final shriek, the generator slipped to that same 'not quite here' space that she occupied. With out the machines to keep the reaction going, the device detonated - harmlessley out of synch with reality. For those at ground zero, it was like watching a hologram of a nuclear blast as the light streaked out and through them before dissapating harmlessly. For a moment, Phantom sagged in place in the air, the action mostly hidden by her cloak, I think I strained everything I have. Even my hair hurts.

Okay, Power stunted off my magic array (31 pp) Insubstantial 4, Extra: Affects Others, PFs: Selective (25 pp) total to turn the power core insubstantial.

And I'm down an HP again. Dammit.

Phantom fired off a blast of lightning at the first guard to raise his gun. Her attention was only half on the threat, much of her focus on the tech panels. They hadn't a prayer of taking this thing off line. Neither of them were scientists. Phantom never thought she'd find herself wishing for Archeville's presence but it certainly would have been handy right about now. When all you have is a hammer... Her gaze slid to the power cells thoughtfully. They might blow up. They'd probably blow up. Why did these things always explode? It would probably be energy. She could handle energy and radiation. Probably. Having made herself the focus, she floated closer to the power cells in question, rapidly working through her options.

Both Taylor and Stesha looked up from discussing the various possibilities of possible real eastate options as the door opened. Perhaps she was still more than a little jumpy as she'd gathered a fistful of black energy around her hand and nearly slipped backwards through the couch in the process. Taylor righted herself and banished the crackling eldritch energy from her hands. She could have used the magic to help Jack with his bags but it was probably less threatening to just walk over, which she did, to pluck one of the suitcases out of his hands. "That was quick. Thank you," she stretched up to kiss his cheek, before she carted one of the bags out of the way of the door. She looked down enough to gauge its contents and said with real pleasure, "My books!"

"I know what she knows. Enough to get us to the others," Psyche said firmly. After a second of hesitation, she lifted her chin and met the Japanese scientists gaze. It was rare that she really used the full force of her powers against another person's brain. However, she was currently trapped halfway around the world from half of her friends, in a dimension filled with very bad people doing some very bad things. The scientists will snapped under the pressure she exerted and the worst part of it was it was so very easy, "And her will is now mine. I'll need you to make her understand me, Hellion."

Mind Control vs: 1d20+6=26 Wow. That's my max for that roll. Go Psyche! Will Save.

Phantom closed her gloved fingertips around Stesha's hand. "I think you're going to find yourself far more crucial to this than you're expecting." The black of the void closed around them, and Phantom ported them into the room. She solidified and summoned her forcefield, floating up off the ground. Normally, she'd have remained intangible but she'd far rather they take any shots at her than target her companion. Her voice boomed into the room, hopefully turning every eye towards her, "You have picked the wrong targets for this plot!"

Rising from her seated position, Phantom floated through the couch and over to Stesha, "Even split up, there's a lot of men and defenses in there. I'd rather stay together. If everything goes poorly, one of us should be able to get help.." Quicky, she laid out the basics of the subterranian base's layout. "There's a control room. Looks like something out of star trek but with maybe a dozen guys. If we cut the power, that should cause enough problems that we can make our way to the cells. If we're really lucky, it might just free them. My vote is to teleport in their midst and take them fast."
-
"Yes, well, if I was going to use the information to do anything but help her, I'd probably agree. The fact of the matter is she's not a fabulous liar, and her story doesn't really hold water. If she's got a good reason to keep her secret, frankly, she's going to need help doing it. Especially as she's now connected to both me and Mike via psychic link." Alex said with a matter of fact shrug and began putting away all of the various things on her desk. She never slept well if she'd left things not put back where they belonged, "She's not the only one who's now got weirdness to deal with over having family show up. She thinks quickly on her feet but I doubt she's ever planned ahead a day in her life. Unless you're Mark, you can't just hope for everything to fall out the way you want it. Someone has to look out for, I think and if we're going to look out for her, then its important to know what we're up against. She has time to tell me what's bothering her. I need to collect a few more samples to test, anyways. I'm not sneaking off to the lab tonight or anything."

"I can teleport us in there without being seen, yes. There are locations in the facility that are unwatched. I can't, however, get us to them without being watched." Taylor said, reaching out to close the book. In between Stesha looking at her, Taylor switched into Phantom and continued, "If we teleport in, we'll either have to fight our way towards them or if we pop into the room, I'm not sure what it will do to them. I'm not sure what all the facility is for. There is some sort of hydroponic room with several exotic plants that you might be able to use, but the rest of it is all steel and titanium."
